Hey... were we being attacked earlier by any chance? What do you mean? I have been getting the red circle a lot today and was wondering if the network was being attacked. Why not ask if there was any issues instead of leaping to were we being attacked. You are inadvertently spreading fud. My wallet has been open for 5 days, no issues. I've been having problems with my wallet as well.. and someone else reported a few days back that he "lost" a bunch of Qora although that could have been some sort of theft. I've learned over the years that when there's some smoke, there's usually some sort of issue and it's perfectly understandable given it's all new code so highly likely there's various bugs. Well, let's hope that these "bugs" don't creep into the BTER Wallet. (They currently hold all of my QORA) :/ WTF is this seriously.... Someone lost their Qora and someone have issues with the wallet now = various bugs? Seriously??? If this is not fud i dont know what is. Or maybe you just assume it's all fud because you hang out on this forum a lot.. I'm just letting the dev know what problems I'm having so he can look into it. Isn't that what one is supposed to do especially with something new? Do you seriously think there aren't any bugs? lol Coupled with the fact there are definitely a group of individuals who are actively trying to keep a lid on the price of Qora. You got to be skeptical that the problems are mainly coming from newbie accounts when the price is starting to rise. Of course any problems should be reported but I personally don't believe people really have had coins stolen. Bugs however are quote possible at this still early stage. I heard Dzarmush say one problem is many Chinese buyers who struggle with English are trying to buy coins cheap slowly on the exchanges rather than use the Trading thread. Why doesn't someone set up a chinese language thread for trading or at least help Chinese buyers to make transactions on the trading thread for a small fee.

Yes everytime Qora starts to rise a bit it seems to get forced downwards again. Also nice to buy some more cheap Qora

Yes everytime Qora starts to rise a bit it seems to get forced downwards again. Also nice to buy some more cheap Qora it's dumb cause the people pushing it down are the ones that want to buy it, in a coin with big vol that can be ok but it damages the coin long term if it stays flat for too long, people lose interest. basically they are shooting themselves in the face. That's why a trading thread exists so people can buy large amounts. the reality is no one can actually but more than a few BTC without massively pumping the price. I don't have a problem with it eventually people will get enough and then want the price to go up but it's just a tedious process due to stupidity that makes it hard to watch. People who want to sell under 50 BTC need to seriously put some offers out instead of caving and selling off little bits. Just get it done already. And buyers need to accept that they need to pay at least 40-50 sats before anyone will want to sell any decent amount. Both will lose in the end when a sudden rise comes and people regret they didn't buy more and those who were selling too cheap also feel stupid. People need to find a compromise price and make their big transactions and stop dicking around for their sake as well as everyone else's.

Coupled with the fact there are definitely a group of individuals who are actively trying to keep a lid on the price of Qora. I suppose that's possible. But looking at Bter, a LOT of coins have been going down over the last few days. Don't think it's necessarily specific to Qora. From my experience with marketing things on the net, summer typically slows way down. Could be having an effect on some of the markets as well. You got to be skeptical that the problems are mainly coming from newbie accounts when the price is starting to rise. Everyone starts out as a newbie. Besides, the ones that have an agenda are pretty easy to spot. Should be clear from my first couple posts in this thread I'm a real newb when it comes to this crypo stuff. I have a total of about $3 invested in some coins, just playing around to get my feet wet and already "lost" (not really since I haven't sold at a loss as of yet) something like 12% as I didn't anticipate the prices going down.. lol..

Allrighty. So regarding my wallet issue. Upgraded Java to the absolute latest and greatest. Deleted the data and resync'd.. Ran for 4 hours or so without any trouble. Unlocked it for 10 minutes, locked it and it ran for another 5 hours I think without any issues (last time it started messing up after about 2 hours of unlocking/locking). So unless something else has changed, that seems to have been my issue but we'll see how it goes. Might be worth adding to the faq or something. I noticed some things weren't on the faq, like the faucet.

This thread was locked for 10 hours for no reason all of sudden with no warning or explanation. It was locked when Qora was last seen online. A moderator saw no reason for it to be left locked and unlocked it. If this goes without an explanation, as if nothing happened, I'll be leaning towards liquidating my qora. I have always been calm and secure with Qora but now something really seemed off here.
I also was one of those who believed source should remain closed but now I think it should be open to a few selected trusted people such as agran, dzarmush etc. Fast.

I see what you are saying... it would be very comforting if qora were to confirm publicly that he would be willing to pass the code to other developers in the Qora Community in case he ever decided to move on. +1,yeah,we can tell qora.

I think we could have a vote with 3 options: I) Source must remain closed for now II) Source must be open to a few selected trusted users III) Source must be completely open
I vote II) Source must be open to a few selected trusted users
