Oh really... :/ I wouldn't mind seeing him replace Ten Hag then. But what's going on with him and Juventus tho. I remember Juve used to dominate the Serie A before the pandemic. But after 2020 - 2021 they seem to have lost the plot. Now just to be clear, I really have no idea what's going on at Juve or at the Serie A tbh. But would like to get some of your thoughts if Allegri is still a good manager or if he got Mou'ed. Lolol. Allegri to Manchester United you say? Hmm, it would be interesting yeah. He hasn't managed a single team out of Italy in his career. I would like to see what he is capable of in that situation also. He won many Serie A and other domestic trophies in Italy with Juventus in the past. He is a successful manager in fact. Juventus still finished this season as the 3rd despite the weaknesses in the squad. So I believe the board were unfair with the decision of sacking. On the other hand, Milan is interested in bringing back Allegri after 10 years. I think he would rather stay in Italy compared to joining Manchester United.

Is anyone following up the lawsuit between the premier League and Manchester city? Looks like Manchester city are digging grave for themselves.
From what I read on the news, There will be a hearing on the 10th of June by an arbitration tribunal over this case which I think after the hearing we will be expecting a decision on the matter later, Manchester City went to court because they disagree on the 115 count charges leveled against them, arguing that there isn't any wrongdoing on the charges, and questioning the way fair market value is accessed, and in that, the Premier League kind of have a conflict of interest, as they have their sponsors too and hence competing with Manchester City for their money.

Well if money and greatness was offered on the table, I think he should take it and hope for the best. How long has it been when Ferguson retired? It's been a decade. I think Man United is due for a title run. And with Klopp out of the EPL that's one less tough manager to worry about. Now there's just Guardiola among the greats and Artera, Emery among the decent ones. And Poch left too which sucks. Newcastle should've gotten him and gave him a good transfer budget. But the NUFC brass loves Eddie Howe so it's unlikely... And he seems like a great guy from what's been said about him.

What do you think on Haaland these days? I mean he is still scoring so many goals and collecting the top scorer prize - 36 goals last season and 27 in the recent one in the PL. However isn't he like a ghost in many big or crucial matches on the other hand? In the season Manchester City won a Champions League trophy I remember him not making any impact as of the semi finals. In the same way, I have seen the same thing in many other big matches there and in the PL. This is like his weak side but it can be improved also. I think he should add some new style into his game. For example, he can help his teammates more by coming a little behind more often instead of waiting for a pass behind the defense line of the competitor. He has a good speed and solid physique. Haaland seemed to be trying very hard for Manchester City when I saw the FA Cup final (against Manchester United). He hardly had a touch of the ball and the one moment that stands out was that brilliant shot that hot the crossbar leaving Onana rooted. I do agree, he seemed to go missing in crucial games such as the Champions League semi-final but it could be down to fatigue. When Haaland seems to be on top form he is a team player and not just a goal scorer therefore it is difficult to advise how he can improve his game but he is still relatively young and has time on his side to learn and improve. I think the English Premier League season 2024/25 will be won again by Manchester City because the squad that Manchester City has is so good, especially of course because of the Pep Guardiola factor. As long as Manchester City is coached by Pep Guardiola, it seems difficult for other clubs to win the English Premier League title. This is not without reason because other clubs must appear consistent throughout the season, at least they must achieve more than 90 points because Pep Guardiola's Manchester City will always appear consistent and can always achieve more than 90 points at the end of the season.
I have deleted this post and will delete all post you make in future in this thread. The feedback and tags you have received seems appropriate.

^ I think more than anything, it was winning the FA Cup vs Man City of all the EPL clubs that saved Ten Hag. Giving him the sack would be a very unpopular decision and would get a lot of back lash from the fans imho. If the FA Cup was between United and say Everton and United won, I don't think winning that would save Ten Hag... I think.
And the 'reason' about Radcliffe 'accepting' Ten Hag's plea is prolly just something to save face for Radcliffe. The pressure was on him to make an unpopular decision but ended up folding.

Is it possible Radcliffe accepted what Ten Hag told him? It seems as though Radcliffe is a tough business-like character that would not care about anything except about getting results because that would demonstrate success. I think without winning the FA Cup he probably would have been sacked and he should consider himself fortunate he has another season.
If this is how things go with Radcliffe, he will probably sack Ten Hag next season if results are not going his way.

^ Oh for sure Ten Hag will be given the sack if they either don't secure a CL spot or if they don't win at least the FA Cup. The League Cup doesn't count. Lol.
And it could also be possible that United can't find another manager good enough to replace Ten Hag. And it would put Radcliffe in a tough spot if they did change the manager and still failed to have a good season. So if anything, it's all on Ten Hag's shoulders now.

Good for Ten Hag to have been given another opportunity to finish up his job at Man Utd, But let's see what he's going to bring this season and who he is going to put the blame on should he fail to put things in order, which I think is going to be his last opportunity if he fails this time around and would no longer have anyone to blame for his failures.

Lastly Chelsea is interested in bringing Xavi for the job.
Xavi is not one of the right coaches in the Premier League, even this season he has not given his best for Barcelona. How could he possibly make Chelsea rise in the Premier League. Maybe the English league would be more appropriate if it were managed by a coach from Germany or France. There will be similarities in strategy. We have seen how Pep Guardiola changed Manchester City to Barcelona's style of play with a high level of ball possession, but did not produce satisfactory results at European level. I don't even understand the coach Xavi with how is treating his every team that they signed onto, because I watched several of clubs that once they signed the Xavi as a manager of that club the teams will not more function as well, to be honest even the way Barcelona was perform this season was some how disappointed since nobody expected them they can perform very lower this season. With That I don't think it can able to make Chelsea performance better in premier league. Chelsea has had several seasons of unsatisfactory performance, I think they need to undergo some serious overhaul.
Yeah almost more than three seasons now Chelsea is undergo several challenges with how they make their performance so poorly every season is only this season that I can see that Chelsea performance is little better than the previous seasons.

And it could also be possible that United can't find another manager good enough to replace Ten Hag. I thought about this after reading your post. There really is not a huge pool of established managers with a proven track record to choose from right now and maybe that played a part in stopping Ten Hag from getting the sack. I would be inclined to think that he will be sacked next season if they do not finish at least as runners-up or champions in the Premier League. Anything else probably will not suffice. He seems to be a good manager but the Manchester United job is far too big for him. He was good at Ajax and he could (given time) bring that to Manchester United but in the end the club probably need a bigger personality to get them to an very high level of consistency again.

I believe Erik ten Hag has been doing his best. I find his reasoning for not reaching their targets sensible also. I don't remember Manchester United having a healthy squad last season. They were much weaker in absence of many decent players. The FA Cup trophy must also have a positive effect on keeping his job for another year. Everton Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite looks set to be sold to Manchester United but they have not received an official offer yet.
His stats for the 2023/24 season look quite good. But his transfer fee might go up to £70m they say. I'm curious whether Manchester United would be keen on spending that much on this youngster.. The source: Sky Sports

The fixture I'm looking forward to seeing is the game between Man City and Chelsea on the 18th of August. We get to between the two who gets to one up the other as they couldn't do that last season and I'm starting to feel it's a big test for new Chelsea coach, Enzo Maresca if he can be able to put all that talk to work. Funny, it actually looks like the same thing that happened to Burnley last season when Vincent Kompany's skills were being tested against his old coach, Pep Guardiola. I can imagine how much Chelsea fans will be looking forward to this fixtures because of the new players they are going for and if the move for Benjamin Sesko and Micheal Oliseh get achieved, maybe Chelsea squad and the confidence Enzo Maresca seems to exhude, maybe they can have a shot at winning City.

I agree that Xavi is not the greatest coach to manage Chelsea next season due to the results they always get from their managers. But I disagree with you when you say that Xavi did not give his all to Barcelona last season, without Xavi do you think Barcelona performance would have improved as much as it did? I'm not sure because Xavi built the team with the players they had available, and the team is usually complains about financial problems. I am sure that if Chelsea chose Xavi as manager, he would do his best to improve the player's standards because Chelsea does not have a problem buying players for the club. Chelsea completed two seasons without finishing among the top four teams in the Premier League. Chelsea has chosen a new manager at the age of 44, with the hope of finishing in the top four next season after being absent for two seasons.

We still have to wait until 16th August for the new season to commence but from a neutral perspective, on Friday I would like to watch Manchester United vs Fulham because it is the opening game of the 2024/25 season. On Saturday I would like to watch the Ipswich Town vs Liverpool game because Ipswich Town are newly promoted and Liverpool start a new era after Klopp left the club. On Sunday the game of the day has to be Chelsea vs Manchester City The fixture I'm looking forward to seeing is the game between Man City and Chelsea on the 18th of August.

Oh for sure he'll get the sack if there are no improvements next season. And yeah, I totally agree. If they don't get the FA Cup and at least second spot in the league, then Ten Hag will be given the sack. If they win the FA Cup, the United brass will prolly be ok with top 4 in the league. If they win the UCL trophy by some miracle then for sure he doesn't go away.. Doesn't matter where United ends up in the league. And come to think of it, United does have options like Zidane, maybe Allegri, Nagelsmann or even Poch... The question is do they want the job... Lol.

Right now all of them would jump at the chance of becoming manager of Manchester United but they will have to wait because Ten Hag managed to hold on to his job What are your thoughts on the opening Premier League games of the 2024/25 season? Chelsea vs Manchester City will provide an early test of what Chelsea are capable of doing (or not doing) when they face the Premier League champions. And come to think of it, United does have options like Zidane, maybe Allegri, Nagelsmann or even Poch... The question is do they want the job... Lol.

Manchester City Vs Chelsea fixture is an early test for the coach and his new team, but not an excuse if he fails to perform very well during the game because I'm sure he has some friendlies to play before this Premier league fixture so by then he should have sorted his team with the perfect tactics and formation to perfect in their coming top leveled games. On the other hand City are not willing to lose their first game of the Premier league season, so I speculate the match to end in a draw.

Well that game you refer to is not Manchester City vs Chelsea it is Chelsea vs Manchester City and it matters heavily because the game will be played at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea will have home advantage. You are right about it being an early test for the new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, he has been signed on a five year contract but might not even last five months if results are unacceptable. I think it will be a strong test for Manchester City too because they have won four consecutive Premier League titles and they could get complacent. Can Guardiola keep his players motivated as they try to win a fifth consecutive Premier League? Manchester City Vs Chelsea fixture is an early test for the coach and his new team, but not an excuse if he fails to perform very well during the game because I'm sure he has some friendlies to play before this Premier league fixture so by then he should have sorted his team with the perfect tactics and formation to perfect in their coming top leveled games.
