I think it is very clear Manchester City playing a home game against relegation candidates Everton or Newcastle United playing at home to relegation candidates Leeds United with both teams being satisfied with a draw and one point, is basically a preposterous notion.

Manchester City were expected to comprehensively defeat Everton but their players went out in an effort to disrupt them because they felt their manager Lampard was under pressure and could be facing the sack just as Moyes is in trouble at West Ham United. They will not be happy with a point. Even Newcastle should have beaten Leeds but in a season top teams will play teams lower than them in the table who will fight like it is a Cup Final. Everton and Leeds did this yesterday.

Well done to Arsenal for opening up a 7 point gap at the top of the table with a difficult win at Brighton and Hove Albion but seriously they will have to work hard and keep up momentum if they want to finish in the top four and qualify for a Champions League place next season. Manchester City, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea will be chasing them and they will not make it easy or Arsenal.

There is a long way to go we are just 15/16/17 Premier League games in to a 38 game season.

the draw experienced by manchester city and newcastle made them have to be satisfied with 1 point and gave Arsenal a considerable distance at the top of the standings because of their win against Brighton, I saw in the newscastle match that it was a little frustrating for the newcastle players at the end of the match almost all the players fought each other mouth, I think arsenal can breathe a sigh of relief to keep their distance from the two clubs below who continue to overshadow them

Oh shit, what the hell are tottenham players thinking? them from the beginning of the game that the tottenham players were off and didn't even look like they were on the field, there were some situations that they caused danger but it was nothing that was very close to scoring many goals and winning the game and to my surprise they lost and they conceded 2 goals and didn't manage to score at least 1 goal, honestly tottenham is not a team that has the level of competing for the first 4 places, they will lose those places and with reason, they have much better teams than them

honestly until now I can't believe that chelsea conceded a draw in a game where they clearly had everything to win that game, how could they have conceded a draw when they even had 70% of possession of the ball, chelsea have good players but even so they only stay behind having bad results, I had already stopped betting on them but today I decided to give Tottenham and Chelsea a vote of confidence, but I lost my bet, Nottingham Forest is a very inconsistent team, they came into this game with not good results, they only had one victory in the last few games and they are still in the relegation zone, but even with that chelsea could not leave this game with a victory

Tottenham losing at home to Aston Villa was a surprise. Chelsea managing just a draw at Nottingham Forest was also a surprise. If these two clubs want to make a real push for a top 4 finish and entry in to the Champions League they cannot afford to drop too many more points.

I was very sorry to see the bet. It was new years day it would have been a nice way to start the new year with a win. I am sure you will succeed with several wins before the end of the season.

It seems Liverpool FC hasn't quite figured it out yet. This season is more or less a soul searching period for them. I mean, they are doing all they can but still missing the point for winning.
Arsenal despite Jesus's absence due to injury is still on fire and am hoping they win with an above >2.5 goal margin. The rival I see right now is Manchester city, as a slip in performance from the North London team, Arsenal would certainly boost their chances of taking over the top spot. Its going to be a tough game for Arteta and team to crack.

due to WC, and a very tight schedule of matches, this season is quite open with many surprising results. I think there will be more surprises here, especially because the "smaller" clubs are at an advantage due to the smaller number of players they sent to Qatar, they are certainly much more rested.

This league is getting more interesting, Liverpool lost to Brentford shows the quality of this league tho this Liverpool side are not at there best currently, The suprise package I think will be Arsenal going home with the title because with 7points above man city I don't think city can easily catch up with arsenal, Arsenal play an organised Newcastle United next while city will have to face Chelsea, Chelsea on the other hand were expecting to brush aside Nottingham forest but they settled for a draw which is not a good one considering the fact that the gap between them and Manchester United occupying the last champions League spot is now seven points

Klopp has been brilliant throughout most of his tenure as Liverpool manager but maybe he should quit at the end of the season and manage the German national team at least until the end of the Euro 2024 competition which will take place in Germany.

The Klopp and Liverpool relationship has probably run as far as it can therefore Liverpool getting a new manager with new ideas and Klopps seeking a new challenge elsewhere might suit both parties.

As long as Darwin leads Liverpool's attack, the Reds will struggle. If Darwin had converted his chances, Liverpool would be in a much better position this season. I don't think Klopp has anything to do with this poor form of games; he's been fantastic and dominating possession with his tactics. Darwin is incapable of leading a top team. he is worse than Timo Werner.

It's not uncommon for teams to go through rough patches, and Liverpool have certainly had their fair share of injuries this season. it’s  also worth noting that while Liverpool's form may not be where they would like it to be at the moment, they are still a very talented team with a lot of quality players. It's important to give them time to work through their current issues and continue to support them as they try to get back to their best form. Ultimately, it's up to the players on the pitch to perform and the manager to come up with a plan to get the best out of the team.

And I don't think we should blame Klopp and ask him to leave the club at the moment, but we should support him in order to improve Liverpool's performance in the league. And return to compete for the CL qualifying seats

I was surprised by the result of Liverpool's loss. Brentford won 3-1. I'm not watching it live, but if you look at the statistics Brentford is more effective in finishing. Seven shots on goal three became goals. For liverpol they only have six shots on goal. Although they had the ball, they were poor in finishing.
Indeed Brentford often make surprises for top teams, winning against MU, drawing against Tottenham, Winning against Man City. That's their great statistic, but the funny thing is Arsenal haven't been able to beat them .

I can't say that I am not afraid of Newcastle, but if we dominate the game well, and control the midfield, there will be no stopping the gunners. In games like this, Arsenal will surely miss the presence of Gabriel Jesus, with him in front, Newcastle defenders will have a lot more to deal with. On a silver lining of things, Nketiah has scored in two consecutive games for us, so his confidence level will be high and he will be looking to perform and prove himself against a strong side like Newcastle. Of course, if Newcastle wins, they will be ranked second in the standings this week, because Manchester City will be shifted before the match. Arsenal are currently been held at a goalless draw by a you g and motivated Newcastle side, the match looked as tho arsenal will go home with all three points on paper only few would have wondered if this Newcastle side will get something out of this match , Arsenal currently leading the premier League table and a Newcastle side sitting at the third position same point with Manchester United but with a superior goal difference,  Newcastle have done Manchester city in second position some favour it's now left for Manchester city to win the blues (Chelsea) and close the gap between them and Arsenal.

Everyone who bet this game as "both teams to score" have lost their bets. Arsenals next EPL game is against Tottenham, I hope we win that because the couple of games after that are really strong games. We need all the points we can get before we play MU and Manchester City.

I honestly believe he should resign at the end of the season even if they do make it (somehow) to a 4th place finish. Salah has faded away after negotiating a massive new contract and nobody can deny that Liverpool are not the same team when Mane is not there.

He deserves all of the criticism now because of his poor run of games after being heavily backed for years, but sacking him is far beyond what I expected, so I think it's unfair to even think that. I'm not a Liverpool fan, but Klopp is the best thing that has ever happened to them, and he has single-handedly pulled them out of shit. He was adamantly opposed to selling Mane, but the club went ahead with the deal. In his direct attacking style, Mane was the most effective player. Got Nunez for 100m instead of extending Mane's contract for less
