Manchester United had such big weaknesses against Brighton especially in defense. I understand that of course because Varane - Martinez duo were still injured. Lindelof played badly in this game and he was nearly causing his team to concede an early goal due to a bad pass. Antony's wasting a huge chance in the 2nd minute already was also unlucky for Manchester United.

Manchester United created so many goal chances in the first half but couldn't benefit from any. But the second half was in Brighton's full control. Wan-Bissaka and Dalot weren't good at all in this game. Besides Brighton created their dangerous attacks by using Mitoma's wing the most. Manchester United defense had big difficulties in defending him.

And Shaw cost his team 3 points by a handball in the last minute as it led to a penalty goal for Brighton.

Brighton outclassed and outplayed Manchester United and only won because of a penalty in time added-on. Manchester City managed to brush aside WEst Ham United and return to the top of the Premier League with a game in hand and a point in the lead.

After a succession of win Liverpool find themselves just 4 points behind Manchester United and a Champions League place. Well done Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest are just one point from safety and could easily avoid relegation with a couple of more wins. Brighton were flying high after they beat Manchester United and they should have been pushing Liverpool in 5th place but they were comprehensively beaten 1-5 by Everton.

It was like an amazing day for Everton. It was shocking to me as well because they defeated Brighton by 5-1 despite having an odd for the win like 9.00 or so. Everton are trying to get away from the relegation area maybe but Brighton are also fighting for a spot in a European cup. It was so hard to understand this score as a result. Everton's most effective style in this game was counter-attack.

Thanks to great counter-attacks they scored pretty nice goals. Brighton defense was such a weak one today. By the way Pickford was also impressive with some really solid saves. It was Doucoure and McNeil's day at the same time after scoring two goals each. Winning against a team in a way better condition must be very helpful for Everton to boost their morale as of now.

Manchester United played a very bad game; there defense was weak they cannot withstand the pressure from opponents , by which I mean their attack, was not strong. They were getting goals that they thought they would score, but they undoubtedly failed to do so. I think that everything that happened in that game was caused by the fact that they did not pass well for one another; they did not give the players they were supposed to pass to, which was one of the factors that affected them in their previous game against Brighton.

The fact that Brighton saw how Manchester United played the game in the first half and therefore knew their weaknesses in the game is undoubtedly the reason why Brighton was so strong and dominant in the second half when they were playing Manchester United.

As we all know the Fulham vs Leicester City game ended 5-3 but after being 4-0 and then 5-1 down, Leicester really played well as they tried to get back in to the game. Fulham managed to contain them otherwise it could have ended 5-5.

As for Leicester City winning the Premier League several years ago and then possibly being relegated now, a similar thing happened to Blackburn Rovers. Looking at it now, maybe they should not have sacked Ranieri just 9 months in to the new season after he led them to the Premier League title. If he had stayed maybe things would have worked out differently.

Manchester City travel to Everton on Sunday in a game they should ordinarily win but Everton are fighting to avoid relegation therefore anything can happen. Let us not forget Everton beat Arsenal earlier this season when they signed Sean Dyche as their new manager in his first game. Manchester City will be distracted by having one eye on the Champions League second leg against Real Madrid therefore Everton definitely have a chance to at the very least get a point with a draw.

I don't think this is a wise decision, if Man city choose to lose concentration on EPL because they want to stay focus on UCL,this means that they have gambled with both league,and city might end up losing both trophies. My reason is this,since it is possible for them to win EPL based on their present form and unplayed matches,if they are consistent with their victories, it is certain that they have won EPL. On the other side,what if Gaudiola did as you said and lose their EPL match because they want to win Madrid in the second leg,and the result turned the other way round i.e they got defeated by Madrid. This shows that they have lost both trophies. A bird at hand is better than the millions in the bush. Both Matches needs focus and should be taken serious because the matches are the key to both trophies.

This is a valid point but I would go one step further.

Let us say for example Manchester United beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final and Real Madrid beat Manchester City in the second leg semi-final of the Champions League, what remains is the Premier League. If Arsenal somehow manage to win the title and Manchester City lose against Real Madrid and Manchester United they end up with nothing.

If they stand any chance of winning the treble they will have to put out full strength teams for the FA Cup final and the Champions League semi-final but put out a strong enough team to win their Premier League matches while resting some of their top players.

I don't think this is a wise decision, if Man city choose to lose concentration on EPL because they want to stay focus on UCL,this means that they have gambled with both league,and city might end up losing both trophies.

It has been a difficult time for Leicester City, they have sold almost half of the team that won the league in 2016 without proper replacement, they have been a selling club since they won the league and it is difficult to compete this way, they could not keep the team together, no replacement for Vardy who is almost out of shape due to age, lost their best young defender Fofana to Chelsea at the start of the season without replacement to0, Leicester City's downfall is more on the management.
