The final game of the yesterday ended: Newcastle United 0-2 Liverpool

Newcastle United suffered a massive defeat at home to Liverpool because it seems as though they will be up against at least 4 teams that are in the chasing pack for a top three finish and they dropped points at home. Liverpool are trying to get momentum as they aim for a top four finish but they are simply inconsistent, I would be surprised if they made it there this season.

These are the games taking place today:

Manchester United vs Leicester City 
Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United

There are important games being played today. If Tottenham win they will leapfrog Newcastle United in to 4th place. If Manchester United win they will be just 3 points behind second placed Manchester City and just 5 points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Trust the process; we're going to win the championship against chesterfield next season, and Potter is in charge. Except for Chelsea, 2 wins in 15 games is an automatic sack offense in other clubs . The owner and coach are more satisfied with the results; we have spent more time in 10th place than any of the top six. I'm not sure how much time Todd Boehly is willing to give Potter, but I believe that giving him more time will do more harm than good for the team.

I'm not sure why Potter chose Apzi over James; he always underestimates his opponents.. I just hope it's not another skull injury.

I recall Chelsea owner Todd Boehly making a statement which included he would not sack Potter this season regardless of where they finished the season because he had appointed him as a long term coach and he would be given time. If Tuchel had remained Chelsea coach they would not be facing these issues.

Boehly has managed to sell players for £59m (which is €67m or $71m) as they were not in his long term plans but he has spent £542m (which is €611m or $653m) on players this season since taking over. Chelsea are simply are not performing well but there cannot be any questions asked about the intent of the new owners who have spent freely to buy players, instead his mistake was to appoint Potter at the wrong time. If an owner spends a record amount of money on players in the winter transfer window it means he is serious about his ownership and wants success for the club.

My only question would be, how many of those players did Potter want and how many were purchased without his consent, approval and/or knowledge.

Potter did well on a tight budget at Brighton just as Moyes did well at Everton for a decade but when he replaced Ferguson at Manchester United he was not given time and he was simply not good enough for the job because the job was too  big for him. If he was given time then maybe he could have turned it around but he was sacked. If Potter is given time he might be able to do something at Chelsea next season, he needs time to get the players playing the way he wants.

Rebuilding the Chelsea team will take years, I cannot see then winning the Premier League again for the foreseeable future. They will need more than a cash injection, they will need a competent manager that will be given time. I do not know if the owners will sack Potter at the end of the season but buying players is one thing but having a manager to bring out the best in them is another.

Rebuilding Chelsea will not take years. Chelsea can win the league next season if they have the right manager. Potter is not that guy, I'm afraid. Even if they have the right manager their are things that still needs to be done. They have been buying players without buying what they really lack; a creative midfielder and a world class striker. If they can do these three things this summer and get their affairs in order then they will be a strong contender for the league.
If a manager like Pep spends the amount of money Chelsea have spent on recruiting players this season he will be sitting pretty at the top of the league table because he will only buy players that fit into his system, not any available player with potential.
Chelsea took a lot of risk with all the players they bought. None of them is a recognized world class player, they are all good players with potential. So if they don't get a good manager that can bring the best out of his players then most of those potentials will be wasted or they will offer their services elsewhere.

I do not know where you obtained that information from but if it is true Boehly trusted Potter enough to allow him to carry out recruitment, then it stands to reason he will not sack him. As for Felix, it is a loan move costing £10m until the end of the season and he would make a good recruitment for any team trying to push for a top four finish. I know very well that man united will win the match today, because of the great performance since man united as been performing.man united has 8 shot on target, Leicester city has only 3.In possession man united is 57 while Leicester city is 43.leicester is a baby to man united. Where man united is playing ball Leicester city should respect their selves.I don't say Leicester city is not good. Their performance to good too but where man united.am not a man united fans,am chelsea fan.but I just like the team man united that is my favourite club.

Wow!!! What a wonderful weekend from the football games for entertainment.

All my predictions went wrong though some of the teams played above the prediction, while some played below the prediction line. Well football is a game of fun there is no too much feeling attached to it.

Manchester United beat Leicester City and keep up their pursuit of the title as they are just 3 points behind second placed Manchester City and 5 points behind leaders Arsenal.

I think Man United has officially joined the competition for the EPL title as Man City lost 2 points in their last match and Arsenal's performance is slowing down a bit. Man United have been achieving good results recently. Despite the loss against Arsenal, they have lost only 4 points in the last 10 matches. A big merit goes to Rashford, who has scored 18 goals since the EPL recommenced after the World Cup, and 24 goals in total this season, which is the highest number he achieves in one season.

Fulham 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

If Fulham had won the game tonight they would have been joint 5th with Newcastle but right now they are just two points behind them and just three points behind Tottenham who sit in a Champions League spot. Brighton have got games in hand which if they will will be just one point behind 4th placed Tottenham.

At this stage of the season for both Fulham and Brighton to be fighting for a Champions League position is a massive achievement.

Fulham were lucky that Solomon came off the bench to score a goal that even saved them from losing all points in the game. Solomon is slowly becoming a substitute that Fulham can bank on because from the few games he has come in as a substitute, he has scored goals. His goal today was really good, good hit, good force on the ball made the ball too fast for the goalkeeper to catch.  Fulham if they are to really have a chance to fight for the champions league spot, they have to start winning games.

Manchester United is returning to its old days. The atmosphere that Ten Hag has brought to the team since his arrival is impressive. Casemiro and Varane seem like borrowed the real madrid spirit and came to the team. the most important thing is that even players such as Dalot, Fred, Bissaka and even Sancho begin to be productive, when they were thought that they should be sent. The positive mood in the team became contagious. Of course, not without mentioning Rashford. The man is having his career season. After Ronaldo left, Bruno also rose from his ashes.

Although it is necessary to mention each player individually, I think there is only one man who causes synergy in all players. Most importantly, it is the biggest difference with last season; Of course, I'm talking about Ten Hag. Fortunately, names such as Pocettino or Conte were not rushed last year and the end of the season was waited for him.

I wonder what Chelsea are going to do if they do not fire Potter they will probably finish below 10th if they continue in current form but if they fire him who do they replace him with? I think any one at this point might be a good temp replacement because they cannot continue to lose all these games. They have players that should be challenging for the top 4 but it looks like the players do not want to play for Potter and he has lost the dressing room.

Arsenal move 5 points clear at the top of the table after beating Everton who are in the relegation zone but are just 1 point from safety.

Liverpool move up to 6th place in the table with a game in hand and just 6 points away from a Champions League place and have done well to try to get back in to top contention but look at Chelsea, they are in 10th place 14 points behind a Champions League place therefore it shows how far Liverpool have come.

@JollyGood while I have been quiet vocal about Potter getting the sack and I feel that he’s survived so far, because of his past record which shows that he performs well when given time. Manchester City vs Newcastle United will have an early kick-off. If Manchester City win they will be just two points behind leaders Arsenal. You would expect Arsenal to defeat Bournemouth at home and sit at the top of the table but if Newcastle United manage a win or a draw then Manchester City will have problems catching up with Arsenal.

After losing to Manchester City at home, Arsenal have done great things one after the other. Especially in the last matches, there is no team above arsenal when it comes to coming from score deficit and changing the results. They also won in overtime in the Aston Villa match. Even though they were 2-0 behind in the 60th minute in the Bournemouth match, they managed to turn the match and get 3 points.

Although they take firm steps towards the championship with this professionalism, there is a significant fixture disadvantage between them and Manchester City. Although City is 5 points behind Arsenal, they have a relatively easy fixture. Arsenal will be away to fulham, liverpool, city and newcastle in the coming weeks; they will host Chelsea at home. So they don't have the luxury of losing anymore.
