After the recent voting motivated by the fact that our colleague Kavelj22 has been inactive in recent months, I'm sad to say that an overwhelming majority voted in favor of his expulsion. Therefore, we need to update our OPs (the part about his stats and testimonial) and we're now OPEN for new Arabic translators.

I think the topic proposed by cygan should be added to our "In Progress" list and also the two topics proposed by you earlier
However, I'd suggest to finish with 1miau's translations first... we still need 5 more translations in order to finish these tasks.

It's really sad to see that we had to exclude him. AFAIK, he was the best Arabic translator! I hope we'll get another Arabic translator soon!

You're right, that's the part that must be changed.

It is always sad to say goodbye to members that have been among us, especially in cases like this one (Kavelj was one of the first AoBTers), but after a period of inactivity in the Alliance and the radio silence after being asked about it, added to other reasons, the vote was almost unanimous this time.

Anyway, when the cause of the expulsion wasn't serious, former members can always reapply, so chances are that we meet again in the future.

Yes Gazeta, I've sent them a personal message recently, let's see if they update the data with the latest stats. In some cases, the OP hasn't been updated since 2023, so I'm not very optimistic, but at least we tried.

BTW, I've just seen that the OP has created a poll asking whether he should translate the website or not. Perhaps we can help with that too.


Edit: Taking into account that there is only one translation left for 1miau's topics (2 in the second one if we count Spanish, but I'll do it on Sunday the latest) let's add the proposed topic to our list. Some of you asked it already, and, like we did with TalkImg, I think it's a valuable tool which is worth sharing.

As you can see, the Talksearch website itself is in in English. I want to make regional versions of this website like talksearch.io/de, talksearch.io/fr that only serve up local board search results. For this to work, I'll need translations of the English text on it. There's about 50 or so words on the entire site that need to be translated, and I'll post these on Transfinex (the website Bitcoin Core uses for translating its own program) for them to be worked on publicly.

I don't expect the site content to change often.

Do you think it's possible?
