But what would happen if just-dice closes or accept BTC?

If I understand correctly, JD originally suspended operations because of legal concerns about dealing with a cryptocurrency that can be directly sold or purchased with US dollars. CLAM doesn't (yet) have that "problem."

If my understanding is correct, JD is unlikely to accept BTC ever again, however, if the regulatory environment changes (or an exchange starts trading CLAM/USD), resulting in CLAM being similarly verboten, it may have to close (or at least cease using CLAM).

is so that means only 113 millionaires instead of 235 millionaires from CLAM

If dooglus decides to accept bitcoin on just-dice, he will hopefully add bitcoins slowly not to destroy the CLAM value.
Also, CLAM use may increase which will mean the CLAM price will not go down as much when just-dice closes

Hopefully if just-dice decides to accept bitcoin, dooglus will add bitcoins slowly not to destroy the CLAM value. CLAM may be used more widely than just-dice before just-dice closes.

You love talking hypotheticals that are almost certain to never happen.  Clam will be used more widely then JD, its an inevitable fact of exposure which JD is giving plenty of for clams.

Its been just over a month since JD reopened, why don't we give it some time...

Sorry my post was badly phrased, I rephrased it. On one hand, it is likely that CLAM will be more used as time passed which is bullish for CLAM. But on the other hand right now most CLAM use is for just-dice so it is bearish for CLAM because it means CLAM high price is very dependent of one bitcoin casino and one bitcoin user dooglus.

I completely agree that that much power in one person's hand goes against the idea of decentralization. However, Just-dice has been a... "good" thing for clam since it reopened.

FortuneJack has started taking clam bets; hopefully this levels the centralization problem soon.

Of course it has been a good thing, even a great thing and it will likely keep being a great thing for CLAM. CLAM has been good just-dice too because it allowed just-dice to reopened.
There are questions about the future of just-dice and CLAM that are interesting to discuss for someone having CLAM.

It's good to discover you have some CLAM now that it's at 0.004 than when it was 10 times less valuable Grin

I can't seem to gain access to my clams. I import wallet, type in password then nothing happens. What's weird is if I type in the wrong password still nothing happens. My wallet isn't synced yet though, could that be why?

EDIT: Found the answer to my own question. Yes, that is why. The ditribution clams weren't created in the genesis block, but in a range of blocks spanning past block 4000

If the BTC was included in the initial distribution you should have CLAMs in your Polo account.

Sorry? I don't get your question. If you mean can you solo mine, then the answer is no.

Clam is a PoS coin. You earn by holding coins and keeping an unencrypted client open (or daemon).

CLAM to www.Buttcoins.com

Basically the site just shows how the private keys from Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Clamcoin are all the same.

The site lists all possible addresses, so basically it is like a free lotto for people with a lot of free time (and possibly pot.) Cheesy

Site is finished yet, but I'm "digging" it!

I presume this is generated "live" based on the current page, rather than you precomputing everything... if you were able to do the latter I doubt you'd be sharing it with us. Smiley

Perhaps you could set up robots.txt to exclude most or all pages, so that crawlers don't waste resources indexing what is for all practical purposes a never ending site?
