don't forget the one that comes with AMD driver now.

Wattman

While setting up my vega rigs to mine cryptonight based coins, i got so fed up with trying to get wattman and HBCC working with the blockchain drivers. just a buggy pile of mess. In the end i set up 2 commands to run before mining starts on them, using the devcon (MS windows deployment kit utility) to disable and re-enable the vegas (this resets hbcc somehow), and then OverdriveNTool (3rd party utility) to set the clocks, voltages, power levels and fanspeed for each card using a saved profile. i dont even have wattman installed, just the drivers and nothing else.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Miningpoolhub results after about 12 hours at 137MH on Lyra2REv2 using Mona as the mined coin:

Result converted from Mona and the payout in BCH: $3.50.

So, that's two cards going for 12 hours, at 720W (I measured.) which means about 80 cents worth of electricity, for a profit of $2.80.

Quite on the other hand, the INDICATED profit from Awesome Miner is 14-28 dollars per day, which would be closer to 2 to 3 times what I'm actually seeing, as far as gross profit goes.

https://whattomine.com/coins/148-mona-lyra2rev2?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=137000&p=720&fee=0.0&cost=.07&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

According to Whattomine, I should be profiting $13.01. (per 24 hours, remember, the 3.50 gross was from 12 hours)

But, alas, I am not. I am not on the same continent as that, let alone the same ballpark.

I really am curious where all the profit is going. I know where it is NOT going.

Update: left it running all night, hoping for 24 hours of results.

Woke up this morning, Awesome Miner running full tilt as it was last night.

only 1.9 additional dollars or so in wallet.

Too bad. Their profits will be short-lived, but they seem to be the types that live for the fast buck.

Ah, it gets better. I checked settings and found that Original.as, the guy posting on reddit, somehow switched the mining over to this username on MPH, instead of mine to:

Originalas.GarbageMiner

So, beware the guy touting his free, easy-to-set-up is a hacker.

Evidently, he also is in league with MPH, because my funds are gone from MPH, also.

Sad, people. Sad.

Nothing I have done that has to do with Awesome Miner or with MPH has been anything but failure, fraud, and theft.

Every time I checked it on MPH, it was doing over 130MH. Miner was active all day on MPH.

Huh. Too bad.

Hi,

So I have been running AM for a week now. It was working great and all, but the last 2 days it says it is mining 340$ per day on some unspec SHA-3.

I joined z-pool and only that. My address is set up on there. But when I check my balance in the pool, I am geting 10 satoshi per day. I got an nvidia 1060 gtx.

Somebody knows where the problem is? Please help, thank you

crackfoo said this yesterday to explain why many were seeing crazy profits from SHA-3 -

-----------------------------------------
keccak is changed it to match the other blake/sha algos with BTC per GH instead of MH.

https://github.com/tpruvot/yiimp/commit/6b6866048e2e5a1ab0fb373e0c65da296bb0556b

You'll need to update accordingly.

An update to AM was issued soon after, just tell AM to download the new version and you will see a corrected profit figure.

Hi, I have 2 managed profit miners configured and DSTM Zcash CUDA Miner it's not taking the worker name on miningpoolhub when you use override pool settings, i want to have different worker names but they always mining with the deafult working name that you define in options>profit switching.
I've tried putting the --user XXX.XXX in command line with no luck. EWBF have the same problem, is anyone having the same problem?

I've never tried to use the override pool setting options, but why would you want two different worker names?  It makes more sense to have the same worker name and two different rig names.  So if your worker name in miningpoolhub is "puwaha", and the profit miner names are "rig1" and "rig2", then AM will combine them to make "puwaha.rig1", and "puwaha.rig2".  They will then show up in the same dashboard in miningpoolhub.

I need to mine to different addresses that is why i need two separate worker names, everything is working fine on zpool and hashrefinery but with miningpoolhub workers names are not working with EWBF and DSTM miners.
I will try to reproduce with the combination you point out here.

Thank you, and please let me know if you need more information about my setup.

forgot, dstm's ZCash Cuda miner is up to Version 0.5.7 Awesome  shows it at 5.5 even after i use the up load tool the CMD screen For the miner says 5.7..

The update mining software Definitions says there is no new updates.. didn't say anything till now, was hoping you would catch it, hate bugging people for minor things.

There is quite outdated Excavator 1.1.4 for nvidia cards in AM, new version is 1.3.8a  - https://github.com/nicehash/excavator  and it is far more better for lyra2R2 and other algos than ccminer 2.2.3. I wanted to add it manually but no luck (Excavator started but just waiting for something..)

Thank you! Smiley

I tried adding my own ccminer into AwesomeMiner and failed miserably... How would one go about doing this? I went into Options -> Managed Software and play around with that GUI but there's no obvious way to specify the location of the new ccminer binaries nor a way to import them into AwesomeMiner...

Thanks!

Hey, does anybody offer service to set up AwesomeMiner? I have 7 x gtx1070 mining rig with AwesomeMiner Enterprise edition latest version on Windows 10. I need help with getting more algorythms working as Lyra and Nist5 stop working at some point so that AwesomeMiner doesn't restart them so I have to manually restart. So I have disabled all except Neo that is stable but not most profitable at all times. Would like to enable other algorithms, too. Also need help with other settings: setting up remote control, sms notifications, mobile app and generally want to speak throught all settings. Need training at least 3-4 hours asap but also in future to set up customers' machines. If you're interested then let me know your hourly rate and contact details. My Skype: kasparpalgi. Or WhatsApp +3725288846 or call +34603192336.

@patrike I have a few bugs:

 - when trying to update, it downloads the package, exits, it says upgrading, then half way it exits and the old version starts again. Currently runing 4.24
 - i enabled dead vga detection, with rule to reboot but it does nothing
 - if i set up a managed miner, with claymore settings of -wd 1 and -r 1, when i check the details and command line it's with -wd 1 -r -1

Would be great if you could add in a function to force refresh the state of a rig, rather than wait or restart the whole app to get the latest information. I usually have to wait 2-3 minutes to go from 'Service Offline' to Mining, just because we theres a delay in refresh times.

Thanks for your hardwork.

Is anyone successfully running AM using only 4GB of RAM? Currently, I'm using 8GB on all of my Rigs but no reason to do so if 4GB is enough...

Also, how much SSD space? I suspect I'm overkilling in that department as well...

Thank you.!

I am running 2 rigs with 4GB in each. Not sure about drive space, doubt if it uses much.

Hey Patrike

I'm trying to customize your software to display my portfolio / stats in one place via the Balance section of this software.
The builtin block explorer works for the coins loaded on that site.
Also, I've read the help section
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/coinbalance.aspx

Now I'm trying to put the balance in for
Bitcoinz, ZenCash, Hush, CVC, PIVX

I've googled some block explorer sites for these coins... but I want to add them to the Balance section.

I mean I have found specific websites for these coins that detail their working block explorers.

I was hoping for some guidance on how to setup the Balance section for these coins. (its not a matter and cut/paste the URL, heh, I've tried)

How are any of you programming the Balance section to display the wallet totals of the coins that you are mining?

Its a handy feature to have in this software and the stock/default (BTC/LTC) features/explorers work fine. I'm just looking how direction as to how to program more than the available BTC/LTC coins

Thanks

Sorry if this is out there but I couldn't find it.
What is the best way to set the miner NOT to mine a coin?
I found out that I can do that by not selecting the algorithm of that coin, but I don't wanna miss other coins of the same algor.
I just want the miner not to mine just that one coin, not the whole algo.
Please help, or link me to the old topic of this.
I appreciate your help.

I have an issue with the benchmark tool.  It seems to have occurred within the past update perhaps?

I cannot get any of my benchmarks to save.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software and changed miners (GPU, CPU, remote, local) as well as different pool options.  Nothing seems to work.

I have two systems that I've installed this software on (AMD/Radeon/Win10x64 and Intel/Nvidia/Win10x64) and neither will store their benchmark status when I push "Save to Profile".  It will show as changed under the configured hashrate column, but it will not save.

I can edit the options manually within each profile.

Also, can I throw a request for a sustained benchmark so I can let a specific algo run while a wattmeter is connected, rather than configure a specific miner for each test?

<snip>

When you use auto-convert at a pool, your coins do not go directly to the exchange.  MPH will wait until you and all the other miners have accumulated enough coins to send to the exchange... to make it worth MPH's time.  By the time they get there, your mined coin will most likely not be as profitable.  For MPH, I suggest you set automatic thresholds for each coin on the MPH webpage.  You want to send them to an exchange yourself like Bittrex.  Bittrex has an auto-sell feature.  The faster you can send the coins, the better chance you have of getting more profit than waiting on MPH to do the conversion for you.  If the fee for sending XYZ coin is 0.01, and you set your threshold at 1 coin, then you will lose 10% just to get the coin to Bittrex... but you will get it there faster... and potentially make more profit than waiting on MPH's conversion.  If you have a large amount of hashrate, the faster this will happen and you can get the coin to the exchange faster while the profit is still good.

Notice, none of the above has anything to do with Awesome Miner... you just have to know how to play the game.
