hi I have just added awesome miner to the exclusions list, and I am still un-able to run the awesome miner, this is the error that I get, this is with all pools ticked for auto profit switching and as soon as I untick all the boxes exept for miningpoolhub it will change over to EWBF cuda zcash miner 0.3.4b and start hashing away, ! I really wish I could figure this out =(

It's not AM that you need to virus exclude, it's the mining files. Exclude the folders the miners are in and reinstall the miners. Your antivirus has already deleted the miner so you will need to make sure it's put back and make sure your AV doesn't delete it again.

If the folder for ccminer is missing but the ccminer-zip file exists, Awesome Miner will try to extract the zip file and run the mining. If the zip file doesn't exist, it will automatically be downloaded again. If you clear everything in the folder you specified, Awesome Miner will automatically download and extract everything again.

My profit-switching is not mining Equihash on MPH though that is often the most profitable. I have this log entry: GetAllEnabledPools, couldn't find existing for: MiningPoolHub [Equihash], stratum+tcp://us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17023, MiningPoolHub, Unspecified Equihash- Equihash is enabled in Algorithms > Algorithm and Profit-Switching settings
- Equihash is enabled in Online Services for MiningPoolHub and Profit Switching
- Equihash is enabled for the Profit Profile I am using (nVidia GPU)
Can't figure out why/where the "GetAllEnabledPools, couldn't find existing..." is looking and what it doesn't like? I'm interested in the details of this issue. Can you please: 1) Go to Options dialog, Advanced section and increase the log level a bit 2) Reproduce the problem one more time 3) Send me the log file via the toolbar: Tools -> Log File. 4) Send me your ConfigData.xml file in %appdata%\AwesomeMiner folder Please send to info[at]awesomeminer.com and reference that it's about "GetAllEnabledPools, couldn't find existing...". Many thanks!

A note about Nicehash. Their web site is up and running again and their API's are responding with profitability. However, from what I've seen so far their pools are not up and running yet.
The current version of Awesome Miner is hardcoded to ignore listing the profit information from Nicehash, to not direct any mining there until we all know it's fully up and running. Once their service is online again, I will release a new upgrade for Awesome Miner as soon as possible where the profit switching will include Nicehash again.

HI with nicehash being down I have been playing with a few other multi algo miners and I have been having a play with awesome miner recently.
would any one have a config.xml of a few miners and pools setup so I can use as a base to figure it out as it is very technical and a bit confusing.

Is it possible to have two instances of Awesome Miner "Manager" running at the same time? I'm often travelling between cities and will be using two different desktops.
My thought is that if I implement a change like adding a pool or switching from managed to profit switching the other client may cause conflict.

Hi, i just downloaded the new version of AM and still the override settings for miningpoolhub are not working for EWBF and DSTM miners, those miners are always taking the worker name that is specified on the profit switching general settings. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello Patrike, Thanks for your replies. Below are my answers to your questions: 1) I can add white space trimming to minimize input mistakes
Thank you! 2) Hash Refinery API is down, and that's probably why you can't get Awesome Miner to read new pools from it. I tried this with zpool intead and it works with yescrypt (I tried to add it to cpuminer-opt, works great but maybe not the most profitable mining I ever seen).
It is not down. The frontend was under heavy load due to the Nicehash hack so it would temporarily stop responding. http://pool.hashrefinery.com/api/currencies2) Do you have multiple pools on the same coin? Otherwise you could set the profit factor on the coin itself (Coins tab, then click Coin Properties in the toolbar)
Yes, for redundancy one needs to have more than one pool. But because not all of them have the same fee (and some of them like to shave the earnings), it is necessary to have some factor so the program always try to connect to the most profitable one first. 3) I will not argue that the benchmarking can be improved. But do you have that many different GPU types you need to benchmark, compared to how many miners you have in total? If you have a large number of miners, benchmarking a single GPU should be time saving as you don't have to benchmark so many rigs.
This is not always the case. I have 19 GPUs which are supposed to be equal (13 of them in the same rig) and they can be split into three separate groups because not all of them perform the same. My point is, why not just benchmark the whole thing instead of doing individual benchmark? Unless you are planning to do something like Nicehash Legacy Miner does, it doesn't make sense to have a separate benchmark for each GPU. That would be nice maybe in the future, if you ever add the capability of treating each GPU as a separate entity. But right now it is just unnecessary pain, in my opinion. 5) Can you explain the -dcri part a bit more? Is it per secondary coin you want to set unique (like -dcri 30 for Pascal and -dcri 60 for Decred?) or is it per GPU? In your Profit Profile settings, you can select Claymore Etheruem miner and click Configure, where you can set different device profiles (where -dcri is a part) for each secondary coin. Please let me know if I didn't understood your question correctly here.
It is for Ethereum dual mining. Roughly explained, the "dcri" parameter allows you to adjust Claymore and decide how much power you want allocate to either Ethereum or the secondary coin. Due to constant price fluctuations, a fixed "dcri" parameter won't always be the most profitable, specially when you take in consideration the three secondary coins (Lbry, Decred, Pascal). You will probably get a better idea if you download Nicehash Legacy Miner and let it benchmark your GPU for different "dcri" levels.

Sometimes rigs just plain lock up or otherwise stop mining. Most of the time this is detectable in AM. I'd like to implement some kind of hardware-based physical cycling of power on a rig based on AM notifications/rules. Does anyone have recommendations on what to use to achieve this? I'm assuming AM is capable of this, even if it requires C# coding. I haven't gotten that far yet. The alternative is some kind of local heartbeat monitoring outside of AM. This may make more sense anyway in case AM is down, etc.
I use a Raspberry Pi with some relays and some software that someone developed here on Bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1933467.0There's also the SimpleMiner Rig Resetter: https://shop.simplemining.net/ssrv2.html?___SID=UThough, he's out of stock until January. It's a little pricey... which is why I rolled my own resetter relay based on the Raspberry Pi... plus a I had a couple of Pis sitting around doing nothing.

hey guys idk if anyone watches this thread but ive been having some problems setting up my awesome miner and am not finding anyone else with this issue, first of all I am wondering if I need to predownload all the mining software like ccminer 2.2.3 and other software or will it automatically download and use this software for me? I am able to mine on miningpoolhub setting with auto profit switching but as soon as I click the box to add zpool or hashrefinery it stops my awesome miner from working at all.. until I disable all but miningpoolhub.

thanks for any help
Aren't you just supposed to put your worker name in the MPH settings for profit switching? Why are you using a wallet address? For Zpool and Hashrefinery, you are just using a bitcoin address in the profit switching settings in AM, right?
