3.75Mh/s Litecoin miner: fantastic setup and a wonderful idea to exhaust to the top. I will definitively try this, but put the PSU outside and try to keep the GPUs > 5 cm apart. Thanks!

Looks super! What kind of PSU is that? Powered risers?
Thanks! PSU is Enermax Platimax 1500W. 4 non-powered risers, and one powered. Just curious - how did you figure out that only 1 of the risers needed to be powered? was it not working or is the riser the only 1x etc? I ran it for a few weeks with 4 cards on non-powered risers. Then I felt like adding a fifth card. But was unsure if the mobo would survive. Look for massnerder's thread about the rig fire he accidentially caused. That's why I went for powered riser for the fifth card. Those Gigabyte mobos are known for their hot NB. I tried to tame the 990x then gave up and ended up sending it in for RMA/refund after adding the 5850 because I knew the heat would damage stuff and/or eventually catch fire. Temps ?

Folks, thanks for the kudos on the rig! Yes, the heat from the GPUs are circulating hot air. I could have spaced them out further apart but it would have widened the chassis. I didn't want to make it so big. Though I don't have any fans blowing on it. It would help. Good tip on changing the TIM. I'm thinking about ARCTIC MX-4 for the GPU and Fujipoly Extreme thermal pad for the memory. I bought my PCIe cables from www.crpytocables.com. Their fast!

Ok, time for a bit of showing off my rig: 5x Sapphire Radeon 7970 3750kHash/sec Litecoin and blowing the heat right out of the window! Very clean rig. Nicely done. Not to nitpick, but wouldn't it work more efficiently to rotate it 180 degrees and reverse the flow of the two large fans to compliment the exhaust of your video cards, rather than push against them?

That would work well if the cards were unidirectional in their exhaust, like reference cards. Those cards pictured exhaust heat out of the front of them and the back. With the front less than 6" from the solid counter they're sitting on and some even more obscured by the PSU it is probably hindering their cooling ability. Try laying it horizontally, moving the PSU out of the way, and see if the temperature changes any. My guess is it makes a large difference.

Are you all really sure about the "cooling"? The 7950 blows the hot air towards the BACK of the cards.
So in this rig all the hot air is blowing out downwards to the table and if I see right directly to the PSU. And because hot air rises I think you have the problem, that you
a) blow the hot air out b) and that the hot air rises up again in the direction of your cards
But maybe I am wrong. At least with my 7950s the air is blowing out to the back.

Thank you very much! Yes you're correct, I'm just doing natural cooling. There are no box fans or pancake fans blowing on it. One thing to note, the power supply fan blows a lot of heat. I've since placed it into an area where it's more open. Woohaaa!!! That really really good setup!! The hot air is spread out. Have a look a this http://event.msi.com/vga/twinfrozriii/index.htmlSo a some hot air is probably pushed towards the back. But if you look at my screenshot of a couple GPUs doing 59C and 66C, I believe it'll be fine. I think the other GPUs with higher temps need a TIM replacement. From reading the newegg.com feedbacks, the Twin Frozr 3 have bad TIM from the manufacturer. Once I get around to getting it replaced, I'm sure I could lower the temps quite a bit.
