Is the cryptobetting index ranking a big deal in the bitcoin gambling world?

I don't see how it could be because the number of rolls data used there is quite easy to fake. Only blockchain games like the old satoshidice or luckyb.it can be verified through the blockchain. Also some dice sites allow zero satoshi rolls and this could increase the stats quite a bit.
Is the cryptobetting index ranking a big deal in the bitcoin gambling world?

How were you ranked in cryptobetting index?

They are ranked on that site. Far down on the page, though. Seems like the 7M bets on satoshidice is just not enough to appear high up in the list.
I made an overview site for only dice sites (see my signature.) Sites are ranked on total wagered. However I only list off-chain sites ATM so the SatoshiDice stats are only for the off-chain part. They are rising very fast though (considering the off-chain part has been around for like a month.)

On the "Weekly Top 10" they are #3 with 1,540 BTC wagered in a week, but the #2 only has 144 BTC more so that is pretty close.

I am still planning to add a separate on-chain page where SD will be obviously first Tongue

Impressive site, NLNico! How do keep track of the last weeks stats of the sites?

Thanks Smiley

I keep track of it by getting the stats automatically every 15 mins and calculate it from the last 7 days of data.

But currently I am not yet showing a "weekly" history or something like that. You can see some daily history on the "Graphs" page though, and also on the specific detail pages like: http://dicesites.com/satoshidice

a bit off topic, but the dicesites.com footer you have doesn't display correctly in firefox... the bottom line is missing and it looks a bit weird.

it was also a good idea to put the sites that allow investing at the top, (and show great stats for them of course).

Which brings up the question: When, if ever will SatoshiDice allow investments? and what happened to the affiliate program?

I love live casino more than anything else.

i think i saw the leaderboards being bugged. i was rolling and minding my own business and looking at the leaderboards on another screen. i was then surprised that the leaderboards were reset a few seconds before the actual timer went down to 0. and then the friggin timer stood still instead of starting to count the new day. you should sync all this stuff and even have som count down background voice or make it possible to see the count down while spinning at the same time.

I love live casino more than anything else.

The totalBets24H variables for the off-chain game have been removed from the globalstats API response for now. We hope that this isn't affecting any sites that display live data from us. If there's any site out there that use this data, please let us know!

With the growing database, there was a delay on the globalstats API response and this was also causing problems for the leader boards count down timer. This problem has been corrected.

UPDATE: We have also added "maxProfitInSatoshis": to the globalstats API response to make it easier to read live data for third party sites and bots. A typical response now looks like this:

Code:
{
    "offChainGame": {
        "totalRounds": 771250,
        "totalBetsInSatoshis": 600915848041,

        "totalRoundsToday": 43304,

UPDATE 2: "serverTime": now uses the reported database time in order for the leader boards count down to stay synced to actual time stamps on rolls.

During the next hour we are activating real time affiliate earnings with a default 10% of the house edge for every roll no matter if it's a win or loss.

No user balance database records are being changed.

UPDATE: We discovered that the balance would under some circumstances display incorrectly for a second after rolls were made by accounts that had affiliate earnings. This has been corrected, and appears to be the same bug that was reported by espringe.

UPDATE 2: The new affiliate system is now in place, affiliates earn 10% (by default) of the house edge for each roll and balance is awarded to your account in real time.

Have you heard of Tor, VPN services or even open proxies? Should be fine to use since the site uses https so they can't see your secret URL.

We have created a new API response that contains your account's affiliate information. This will be used automatically by the website, but it might also be handy for bigger affiliates.

Code:
https://session.satoshidice.com/userapi/affiliateInfo/?secret=<YourSecretAsItAppearsInTheURL>&callback=optionalCallBackVar

A typical response looks like this:

Code:
optionalCallBackVar({
    "yourAffiliateURL": "https:\/\/www.satoshidice.com\/?a=34526345",
    "yourAffiliateDomains": null,
    "numDepositingPlayersReferred": 1,
    "DepositingPlayersReferred": [
        {
            "playerNick": "Cyberpunk57348",
            "hash": "b1651e429beb26d6bc4c12eb8f216847",
            "expectedValueInSatoshis": 6128
        }
    ],
    "numNonDepositingPlayersReferred": 2,
    "nonDepositingPlayersReferred": [
        {
            "playerNick": "Genius03642",
            "hash": "0e96c89884aa7fbdd1f0437591710aff"
        },
        {
            "playerNick": "Nerd01673",
            "hash": "0beb95b8d7edc88521a0b1e85aba9cf2"
        }
    ],
    "expectedValueOfDepositorsInSatoshis": 6128,
    "yourCommissionOfEdgeInPercent": 10,
    "yourEarningsInSatoshis": 1541,
    "queryTimeInSeconds": 0.0189
})

Please note that you would normally have 10% of the expected value of the depositors as earnings, but if you already had earnings from when we were still using the revenue share model, these numbers may not match.
