For instance, I want to do satoshi 73%, but then I want it so I do like 10 different bets, but one single transaction?

Each transaction gets a single "lucky number". If you make multiple payments to the same satoshidice address in a single transaction, they'll all get the same lucky number. It acts just as if you made a single large payment to that address with the following exception: if you exceed the max bet with a single payment, the payment is returned to you and your bet doesn't count, but if you break your payment into multiple smaller amounts then they will be processed until their sum exceeds the maximum bet. So for example if you send a single 10 BTC payment to an address with a max bet of 5 BTC it will be returned, but if you send 10 single 1 BTC payments to the same address, 5 of them will be processed and the other 5 will be returned. |

After winning over 11,000 BTC recently, the maximum bets at satoshidice have now been reduced. It used to be possible to bet 250 BTC on <32000, <24000, <12000 but isn't any longer. Is that deliberate, or did something go wrong?  |

I am just wondering why so many people play there even knowing that odds are always against them!  SatoshiDice is no different from the Vegas casinos who make all possible to enforce positive EV for them (have you ever heard about card counting systems in the Blackjack and how casinos treated with own players? This film is almost 100% truth, IMHO). The only one difference between offline casinos and S.Dice is that real casinos have to pay workers, license fees, taxes, building maintenance costs etc, but S.Dice owner can just count all players' loses as his pure profit and even to harm other Bitcoin users by polluting blockchain. |

It's not different in principle, but it's very very different in fact: a 1.9% house edge is pretty much the lowest in the market. Lotteries usually return something like 60%. Most casino games return 95% or less. Think about it this way: the blockchain.info mixer services charges 1.5% fees. For an extra .4% you can actually gamble. But otherwise, your asinine attitude likely motivated by your own personal failure is duly noted, well done with whatever peerbet thing. The bad news being that it's getting killed this month, btw. |
