why is there delays when placing bets? My bets have had up to 5 confirmations before they get placed? why also if I place many bets in a row do they get split up between other bets? They are appearing to be convienently placed  which is getting VERY perculiar in the pattern thats starting to emerge?

It's the txid of your bet transaction, then a colon, then the number of the output within that transaction, counting from zero.

Typically there are two outputs in a transaction, the payment and the change. One is output 0 and the other is output 1. Blockchain.info will list them in the correct order.

Hey, just noticed the new max bet limits. They're getting lower and lower.. 5.93 BTC max at 50% chance now. About a few days ago, the limit was somewhere at 19 if I remember.

Any reason for that?

P.S: I'm not a 'whale' gambler myself, but placed a few bets lately. I am just wondering why change the limits? Are you guys getting low on reserves?

I don't know where you found those numbers, but if you look at the 50% chance address, you'll see that the max bet is somewhere around 18-19 BTC (now).

I posted that question because I was getting somehow worried, as the max bet kept getting lower and lower. Now it is the other way around, it is increasing every day.

You should be able to bet about 176 BTC at 50% if the max profit is 176 BTC, since at 50% your profit is about the same as your stake.

SatoshiDice doesn't have the same max profit across all of its bets though for some reason, and never has done.  I don't know what the reasoning is.  Maybe they're willing to risk more than they can really afford (from a risk-of-ruin point of view) on the low-chance high-payout bets because you're unlikely to win many of them?
