I told Evan Duffield two years ago that he should focus on making network resources available to potential customers, he's belatedly in the process but he's taking his own sweet time about it and making it as painfully overcomplicated as possible.

coins101 made a post in the WallObserver thread a week or so ago about how pathetically few actual users BTC has worldwide, after 7 years. He was dismissed by the usual collection of delusional zealots. BTC is useless to most people, as are most other crytocurrencies. It's not even any good at it's purported purpose... 4 transactions per second... at an infrastructure cost of $5+ each... in the 21st Century...? Yeah, good luck with that.

Make CRW of some actual use to people and businesses. Forget about pandering to clueless, broke cryptognats.

Frankly I'm going to need some competition, and it would be helpful it the work was spread around a bit...

Oh, as since Proof-of-Waste fails so miserably at its intended purpose, consider that a system that's cryptographically sound from end to end doesn't need "consensus"  - ie. who can afford to waste the most energy - at all.

Cryptocurrencies need to back to fundamentals and take an honest look at what it is they are supposed to be achieving.

I find that I need a swap file when compiling on a VPS with less than 1GB of RAM.  In theory you don't need to make the swap file persistent to run Crowncoind but I make it persistent to make it easier to compile updates later on.

These are the commands I use for a 1GB swap on Debian and Ubuntu...

sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/cache/swap/myswap bs=1M count=1024 
sudo mkswap /var/cache/swap/myswap 
sudo swapon /var/cache/swap/myswap 

Then you need to insert a line into fstab to make sure the new swap file persists after reboot:

We thank your people. The Hive has only one more question, hopefully. Does The Hive keep the crowncoin.conf and update "thrones=1" to "thrones=n"? Where n= number of total thrones? Or do we keep "thrones=1" written in crowncoin.conf and merely add in a throne.conf file to the Crowncoinfile with respective IP addresses, private keys....

Keep Crowncoin.conf.  That is still used to specify wallet settings.

As you suggest, keep throne=1 in crowncoin.conf and add extra entries in throne.conf.

Throne=1 simply tells the wallet that it is controlling however many thrones are in throne.conf.
