1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fear of KYC requirements on: March 12, 2023, 04:55:36 PM
Frankly it is an issue if you consider it as an issue. In long run KYC verification is important as you grow your account. Imagine a situation where you have ton of money in it and suddenly there is site crash or let’s say there is hack or something and your money is lost. You can always claim back your funds by show casing validity of your account. Because in above mentioned events things could go south to north quickly and they might start investigating about it. Since you will have your verification done you can prove your identity or in some extreme cases you will be able to file law suit against the casino if they deny the refunds or lost assets. If you don’t wanna get verified then decentralised casinos are there but who knows the validity of same?
1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Silvergate - exposure - USDC ? on: March 12, 2023, 04:05:29 PM
Too late to ask this question but as far as I have read Silvergate is already bust and most of the big players have stopped working with the bank. It is said that various powerful exchangers like coinbase, binance have already withdrawn most of the money from Silvergate accounts and using other banks to keep their business stable. (Why wouldn’t they!)

Coming back to the USDC thing, it has got to do nothing with the bust scenario. You can say it will get hampered if the exchangers are hampered in terms of their fiat liquidity. I see no direct relationship between Silvergate and USDC.
1003  Other / Off-topic / Re: Revolutionizing Artificial Intelligence: GPT-4 with 100 Trillion Parameters on: March 12, 2023, 02:25:33 PM
That’s good achievement by humans. I can’t imagine how powerful they gonna get over the time. I think it’s time we humans should pick a chair and let the AI do all the work for you. This much power can boost various sectors from low level jobs to highly skilled medical surgery. We never know what coming in the future and it could change everything.

Are we getting evolved too fast?

I don’t know man. There are videos where AI bots are already responding like humans. Imagine those bots getting powered with the GPT backend linking. This is gonna get crazier with the time. They will spread like virus through the internet and to everyone’s devices, and not sure what would be restricting parameter for the same. Are we really safe?
1004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a change in people's views? on: March 12, 2023, 09:10:44 AM
The very first vision was to do the same however with the time bitcoin was suppressed by traditional banking system with the help of government itself. The bitcoin was visioned by Satoshi so that we can have freedom to be our own bank. Now that’s what got changed over the time by authorities. Imagine if every single person started using bitcoin then we will form powerful decentralised alliance. That can literally disrupt the government since they will have no taxes and there won’t be funds to run. Think of it as some old age era when there were limited peeps, doing their trade for whatever they had (not fiat) and still they did it properly. Could happen today as well but not if government interferes the whole process.
1005  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hacked Exchanges since 2011 on: March 11, 2023, 08:18:10 PM
Just one of the list that’s very important to go through and see how we are not in safe hands when we trade over an exchange which is centralised. The problem is never with the owner, founder or the group of team that runs it but it is always hackers who would do anything for the money. You can never claim back anything from the hacked exchangers because you never own anything that’s on exchanger. Makes me realise not my keys not my coins for sure. Hope at least new comers go through this list and understand why this statement is very much important to us.
1006  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: March 11, 2023, 08:01:56 PM
I guess this is about Nigeria and their recent demonetisation incidence? Heard and read the news and can easily related that they have done terrible job at executing the entire thing. They should have done it in step by step manner where only single note to be demonetised. Or may be two of them and then so on. They thought they would do it quickly and try to get the currency more valued against the USD. They have not thought this through. They actually made it even worse to be honest. Have they thought about the poor condition in the country? Peeps are already risking it all with what they had and now it got worst. Hope so they get over it soon.
1007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If AI were to somehow hack into Bitcoin Core on: March 11, 2023, 06:15:30 PM
Hmm, just now AI evolved to write articles and everyone thinks it’s age of AI. That’s merely bullshit and nothing else bruh. Stop using AI word and hacking they are just unsynchronised blend of programming. Who the hell would invest in AI programming is able to hack into bitcoin core and destroy. In addition the devs sitting there aren’t just sitting in an emptiness. They would “react” to so called AI.

I don’t know why but AI is really getting in the heads of every person these days. Why no one is stating that AI could help us shape the future of bitcoin. May be it would help us solving the scalability issues, or may be mining could be eased with it and so on…!
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which cryptocurrency do you prefer the most to accept payments in? on: March 10, 2023, 06:44:19 PM
What the hell man? When did we reach the mark of 20,000 coins in the market. I’m very lucky to leave the altcoin market real soon because looking at the growing number of coins it’s a waste bin for sure. What are the project ideas behind them and who are forming these coins man? Do they even have real utility? I’m gonna speak for myself, I left the altcoin market when I saw 1500 coins back in 2016 which was literally a lot for me to choose from. Here we are with 20k coins and counting. Just funny and I can’t take it.

I am good with bitcoin. It’s clean, it’s high volume asset and makes me closer to crypto home.
1009  Economy / Economics / Re: Ripple CEO Says Crypto Industry Has to Rebuild Trust on: March 09, 2023, 05:02:44 PM
I’m amused this is coming from the centralised project itself who has already lost the trust of their investors due to malpractices in the past and various court appeals for undermined balance sheets. Something is not right here when you are king of untrusted stuff and make claims like these.

We do not need to rebuild anything for very long time because trust issues are with the Altcoins most of the times while bitcoin has no gain or losses since its inception in terms of trust. In fact bitcoin is the coin which is keeping that glaze of crypto space.

We lost the trust due to bombarded scam projects everywhere through altcoin chains.
1010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will you feel when your government make BTC legal? on: March 09, 2023, 04:32:55 PM
It’s already legal in my country however we have to pay flat taxes of 30% on it and additionally a 1% TDS on every transaction that is done while trading. That’s crazy amount of tax one can pay all at once. Definitely it’s restrictive factor but it is allowing us to use the bitcoin. With the time the rules are getting stricter and it is but obvious why are they charging so much taxes in the first place. To make sure less and less peeps use the bitcoin over the period of time. Surprisingly, India is still using the bitcoin for trading at an alarming rate. There could be various methodology to get the fiat after trading bitcoin but yeah, peeps are crazy to use it even after such strict legality.
1011  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 09, 2023, 04:04:02 PM
Wow they are just 14 and ready to trade? It seems very risky to me and answer to your question changes as per the country. There are countries where learning or knowledge is free and anyone can pursue it if they are “skilled” enough for the same. I assume this applies to trading as well.

HOWEVER, they may not be able to trade on an exchanger directly.

You see the difference here? They can learn but they may not be able to trade. Most of the exchangers you see will have the clear instructions of terms of usage. For example, you must be 18 years or old to use an exchanger. That answers everything about it.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to better promote our project effectively ? on: March 09, 2023, 11:45:59 AM
You should create a niche for your project and publish it in different phases. First of all start capturing crowd who is interested in your project. This can be achieved with social experiments. Now this can be anything from publishing the project highlights to various social accounts, asking followers to promote and gain more exposure with mouth to mouth publicity. Over the time you can also start publishing technical details to the people or investors who understand it such as technical discusion boards on the forum. Slowly you can inject campaigns and bounties. Basically it’s framework of marketing which every project leader follows for the successful business.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors so sceptical about Altcoins? on: March 08, 2023, 05:37:05 PM
I believe you have already answered few of the queries in your post. The problem with altcoin started with the trust and the way they operate in the real world. Most of the Altcoins are made out of thin air and they have no real basis. What I mean is, they would be created with some assumptie ideas, something which they may achieve in X time or y day etc etc. However, none of them really achieve anything from their roadmap and everything goes to waste. Mostly investors who gets attached since the beginning of project has huge investment in it which goes to zero in no time. That is why most of the investors already know why investing in alts is high risk.
1014  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too late to start? on: March 08, 2023, 04:47:53 PM
This is a normal feeling when you are in the crypto space. Everyone always go through such set back all the time. You came to know about bitcoin in 2017, but consider my case where I knew about bitcoin well around 2014 but I never started right in that year. It was all in talks first, just some chatter over coffee and work breaks. It was just our Topic of discussion in between colleagues and we used to forget about it until we meet again for next coffee. That was the value for us, just curious Topic and nothing else.

Do I regret not taking any action on it? Yes I did. But soon I came to know that it does not matter at what point you start with it. You always get to invest just like others did before. Bitcoin still has to go very long so don’t be disappointed. Just start with it if you know it already.
1015  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter becoming Worlds biggest Financial Institution? on: March 08, 2023, 02:31:56 PM
Yeah he also added that there would be a tip button which will be used to appreciate the tweets of users. Now I am not sure how this will work up but it is going to be hell mess on Twitter sooner or later. Have you ever imagined having tip button which is actually linked to a financial server? If it is crypto then it might add up some security but if it is associated with fiat system then man it’s gonna be hack-o-than every where on Twitter.

No one can understand what is on his mind. Since the ownership of Twitter it has really become weirded place to stay on.

If they bring up in the mode of circulating money, then it is going to be MICRO STEEM model and nothing much.
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys think that there will be a new technology to recover lost of Bitcoin on: March 08, 2023, 01:50:42 PM
That’s funny actually. We first ask for the unbreakable technology and then when it becomes really full proof we then start asking whether this technology can be broken somehow.  Tongue

I think bitcoin is all fine as it is and the intention was to have most secured, irreversible technology which will help us have our coin ownership and do the transaction likewise.

I just hope there comes no such technology which can break the Ice here. Anyways that’s gonna be dream of a hacker but would love to see what others has to say about it.
1017  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If You Could Start Over, How Would you Learn Day Trading on: March 05, 2023, 05:57:41 PM
In my locality there are good tuitions for trading classes. They are so good that you can take the free demos before enrolling or paying heavy fees for the course. They would show you the examples of successful peeps who learnt from them.

I think I will start with those guys and then slowly go for my own demo accounts and trading on them eventually. I think my current thinking is not very good for trading. I will have to start over all of those thinking from the scratch for sure. Basically given chance I will need to redo everything.
1018  Economy / Economics / Re: Untouchable Savings: Do you have it? on: March 05, 2023, 05:38:09 PM
That’s crazy tweet but it has got millions of hearts already. I mean it’s such true fact that if you hold on to something too much but do not avail the benefits at the right time then it’s next to nothing in the future. It’s always better to have secured future but not over the heads so as to go useless about it. I’m having savings mostly in the investment funds. SIP and stuff.

Having a plan can help you prepare for unexpected expenses and achieve your long-term financial goals.
Keep always in mind that saving money is an important aspect of financial planning and can provide a safety net for unexpected expenses and emergencies. It is also possible to find a balance between saving for the future and enjoying the present. It is true that some people may be overly frugal or stingy --but it is also possible for people to save money while still being generous and living a fulfilling life. It is up to each individual to determine their own approach to money management and find a balance that works for them. So for me, it is ideal to have money left for future emergencies.
I was never good with my finances
And I a very upset for all that I did to myself.
I wish I would have had some saving - but now I tried to save little.

Well everyone say they have perfect plans but no one really does in the reality. There could be horrible incidences in our lives or there could be occasions, surprises where we can not argue but to spend our money without any reasons. That way sometimes we may end up with no savings at all. Once can always plan automated payments to schemes, or may be investments into real estate etc. That could be best way to have untouchable savings.
1019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: March 05, 2023, 04:45:10 PM
This could actually make me think about bitcoin strongly and deeply in the long terms. I’m pretty much into bitcoin at this time and it would be hard hit to take in the future if things are gone wrong to that much level. I think bitcoin will still be operational no matter what since it’s running on public ledger and it’s next to impossible to shut down all the computers in the world who are already having embedded blocks of blockchain. With the multiple copies and confirmation algorithm the government will need to blow off this planet and start over again. I’m confident that it will still run with other ways if not for the above one. Smiley
1020  Economy / Economics / Re: $35 Million raise underway by Hosts of "Bankless Podcast" -to fun Web3 Companies on: March 05, 2023, 10:14:28 AM
If these investments are going to get us few good projects on the way then why not, these capitalists should be motivated or supported more to do this. Social media is biggest influencer in the current era. While podcasts are one way influencers but they are directly affecting the listeners mind in the long run.

Let’s just consider this as positive news for crypto maximalist and these fund raisers would go through. At the end of any raise, only concerns are it should be used for the right cause and not something else.
