$11,111.12

(do the math you can figure out from the above clue my BTC stash amount from that amount)

We will see.

If anything like last time when I guessed a much higher number  (1/3 more than above)

the price dumped to its current price. Knock wood my bet does not jinx the works this time.

Damn, I really hope the above is damn low and I lose by a huge amount of being too low on guesses.

Chump or Champ we will be the first to know!

Everyone wearing a cryptotalk sig needs to stop replying in this thread unless being helpful or asking a legitimate question. Lots of replies in here that don't need to be here. For example read 1 post up

I'd still PM Theymos and ask if 20 posts a day is too much and would be considered spam'ing just by the math. By the time you run it out the other way at 10x or 100x it will be too

late and he will just put spammer on everyone's avatar and do a 30 to 90-day ban again. Just saying, better safe than sorry. By the By not in the campaign ...just from my experieces

from the last yobit campaign on how I'd approach this.

Our Path to Changing the Voting System: https://blog.lisk.io/our-path-to-changing-the-voting-system-aa6e8fcaf33d - Lisk Blog

Not seeing this happening with the weight of the forging 101 or LISK...if done correctly they will simply cash out and leave this project in dust.

Hope I"m wrong but not optimistic...on either this passing nor if the above happened.

again, hope I'm wrong...but LISK as the way it is set up now with forging/whales and current price..is too vulnerable to be tweaked in any way likely and again IMHO.

fragile is the word I'd use for the LISK project at this time...

I'm afraid without Mimblewimble and some other stuff to differentiate LiteCoin from other Alts....well...we are doomed without a combination of the two

I just mentioned. Past the point where LiteCoin needs to have some development tricks outside out of the 95% or more simply following Bitcoin Cores

development team leads. Without striking out on its own, IMHO, LiteCoin will be made redundant I'm afraid. LTC needs to stake some stuff out as its own

...like Mimblewimble to start.....in the past, it has been too much Robin and not enough Batman! Smiley

@Searing are you sure no dumping, pumping  soon? I have no idea this trend.

I was a junkie for ASIC mining..since I can't do that anymore in the USA with any reasonableness....I find

myself watching Bitcointalk threads too much..alas..it is a sickness. So twiddling thumbs now.

Probably best not to co-enable me for more bad behavior with MOON hope or DOOM dump. Sad

(some people watch porn... I sit lurk on WO too much...lame indeed) Sad

I assume when BTC hits $100k and dumps to $80k...I will also be 'fretting' on $60k BTC bottom then too.

Again, to clarify...IMHO...it is the 20 posts a day x1 then x10 then x100 that will kill this campaign...if they limited it to say 25 posts per pay max per week...maybe

all would work out ...even if run through Yobit per se.

Again, it is the MATH...it is just gonna snowball ..and again...even if all posts would be legit the MATH above will be just too much for the Bitcointalk

OP's to put up with IMHO.

too bad, a say 25 post max per week and NON-gambling signature campaign might have worked with this...again...due to MATH above too big a splash

to survive..again, IMHO.

Brad
1049  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: September 29, 2019, 03:57:10 PM

i just joined this new yobit signature campaign, i saw that yahoo62278 is working with them this is a security and a guarantee i'm sure everything will be fine...

Its the 'numbers' that is going to drive the OP's on Bitcointalk crazy..by that I mean the math.

IF every member of this Cryptotalk Signature Campaign (via Yobit) can post 20 messages a day...that is 300 messages a month potentially per participant!

At the (for Legendary) 0.00020 BTC per day....that was (from my math please check) 0.12 BTC a month potential or at $8,000 current BTC price = $960.00 a month per person

(again potentially that is MAX per month)

Here is where the argument for spamming comes in...that is 600 posts per person per month..then take that by 10x folk or 100x folk and suddenly all posts, even if LEGIT,

are all over the place for this cryptotalk campaign.

That is when the rubber will meet the road and then the OP's will dump the I'm a spammer flag on all these posts and ban folk for a month. So even if everyone did not spam

any messages and all were legit posts...it would be, IMHO, too much for the bitcointalk OP's to allow ...thus the hammer will fall. (Sorry to say that is good money)

Also from what I can remember from the first page, it is only open to SENIOR HERO and LEGENDARY right (need to re-look at OP page here). Not worth, IMHO, the likely 30 day

ban like last time. With the amount of folk that will flock to this campaign, it also will be a 'blanket' ban..you will be caught up in such, like last time, even if your posts were

not spam and legit. This is due to the number of increasing posts. Again, IMHO, the OP's on bitcointalk will just kill this golden goose and do a blanket spam ban and ban again

for 30 days. Again, it is the math multiplier. If for example the numbers were limited to say 40 or so folks, MAYBE, it would squeak by. But wide open like it is now..er nope.

Will be interesting if this campaign sticks or not....either way a lot of drama, again, IMHO. Anyway, maybe I'm wrong. Just can't see it at this point in time.

1050  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: September 29, 2019, 02:57:31 AM
i already wanted to join. sooner yobit will realize how hard it is to run a forum, its a never ending battle.

I hope yahoo banned all these spammy useless post from cryptotalk participants in this thread.

i think he can report to yobit which users.

I'm confused. If this thread is wearing banners for cryptotalk.org  then why is it a yobit campaign?

seems silly. I also suspect that theymos will simply put a 'spammer' tagline on all of this again...in that it is directed by yobit?

would have made sense to simply do the cryptotalk way and take out  yobit...I see a pretty big 'kill spammer' tag on this campaign

just from the get-go.

(watching from sidelines with popcorn) Smiley

brad

edit: forgot to mention above the 'spammer' rules will come into play because of this...even if you are legit 20 posts a day on bitcointalk is a no go IMHO.

quote

★ Legendary Member: 0.00020 BTC per constructive post. 20 Posts max per day.

unquote

That is 600 posts a month. No matter how legit in no way will Theymos allow such on this thread in those amounts x10 or x100...expect the hammer to

fall down. Just saying. also at 0.00020 BTC per day that is potential at 30 days of posting is 0.12‬ BTC. Even at current $8,200 BTC price that would be

potential $984 a month. Again, this campaign seems to be a 'brief' gimmick at best to highlight yobit and as an aside cryptotalk.org. I give it 10 days

max before another 30-day ban on folk and a pull on this campaign. Yobit campaigns are that 'screwy' and 'always' have the flip side downward catch.

(again, resuming watching with popcorn and a soda) Smiley

Hard to believe ...my 'newbie' self of June 30th, 2019 at the OP's start of this bet I had the price guess of

$17,070 usd! Damn. Clueless or what!

Price as of this moment is $8,219.09.

So I was only off by more than half or about 51.85% too optimistic! Sad

No wonder I'm frigging single!

Sh*t on a stick! I'm going thru life with only a 50/50 chance of being correct on any given topic!

So according to me I should either get more Tech or go Amish. Or buy more BTC or go, beanie baby!

The consequences are endless! I must admit with such lack of clarity I'm surprised I even function!

50/50 on everything I pick. No wonder I'm frigging confused!

Jeez!

1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: September 27, 2019, 03:07:23 PM
The current state of the Bitmain L3+ in the current ASIC and CRYPTO Universe.

Now
----

9/27/19 from www.litecoinpool.org/calc a free LTC mining pool that has NO fee and pays out at 103%.

At 500mh and 800 watts at 10c kWh and at the current price of $55 per LTC. (This would be a bit better if you underclocked the L3+ units).

Comes to: (see below) NEGATIVE -$37.90 LOSS per month per L3+.

24 hours   0.01194157 LTC   0.66 USD   1.92 USD   -1.26 USD
7 days   0.08359097 LTC   4.60 USD   13.44 USD   -8.84 USD
30 days   0.35824702 LTC   19.70 USD   57.60 USD   -37.90 USD

Future
------

Again, using www.litecoinpool.org/calc as a guide. (Feel free to put in your own numbers on this calculator for LTC price/electric/underclock or whatever).

To make a profit using the same info as above and current difficulty and adjusting the price to that you at least break even would require

that LTC be at $161.00 LTC  price. (Also remember if at that price difficulty would also go up likely with all L3+'s turned back on...but I'm using the same difficulty as today)

Again, 500mh 800 watts at 10c kWh at the current price of $161 per LTC. (This again would be better if you managed to underclock the L3+ units).

Comes to: (see below) POSITIVE 8c profit GAIN per month per L3+.

   Expected Rewards   Costs   Net Profit
24 hours   0.01194157 LTC   1.92 USD   1.92 USD   0.00 USD
7 days   0.08359097 LTC   13.46 USD   13.44 USD   0.02 USD
30 days   0.35824702 LTC   57.68 USD   57.60 USD   0.08 USD

So from what I can tell you'd need $200 LTC almost immediately to even turn the L3+ units back on, due to the increase in hash-rate of everyone turning these

L3+ beasties back on. (Including my stuff).

So basically we are utterly screwed. And 'triply" so at $55 LTC prices. The boat has sunk. We need 3x the current price to basically make about 8c per L3+ per month!

All L3+'s have sunk. They, also are about IMHO 65% to75% of all scrypt-pow miners in the world, from what I can tell from Bitmain.

Complete and utter, as they say, 'miner capitulation' indeed. As an aside, this is pretty much the same issue as far as percentage of miners and price for Bitmain BTC miners the S9's.

So use your miners for 'nice' ASIC 'shelf art', in that as of now, that is all they are good for. Novelty shelf art indeed. Sad

1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: September 27, 2019, 02:47:57 PM
The Lisk Foundation is liquidating its assets in an on-going strategy to provide enough liquidity for the projects expenses. Currently, they are following the rule to have enough fiat to cover 12 months of expenses.

In the month of July, Lisk deposited the following cryptocurrencies to Bitcoin Suisse for liquidation:

    4.488,71406161 BCH on July 5th
    8.488,69406759 BSV on July 5th
    8.488,6940663 BTG on July 10th
    84.886,9406727 BCD on July 10th

They liquidated them into:

    1.026.612,11 CHF in July
    1.770.977,32 CHF in August

This totaled at 2.797.721,90 CHF.

To sustain 12 months in FIAT, we are looking to further liquidate some of our crypto assets. We will liquidate all remaining 4000 BCH, and enough BTC to sustain approximately 12 months again.

They spend 934,910.52 CHF in August for expenses like Development, Marketing, Bounties and operations, so right now they have the CHF to cover almost 4 months, not counting other currencies.

By the way, Lisk foundation should buy Bitcoin right now, and not liquidating crypto assets.

If big players of crypto are liquidating at this price, near future is not looking good for us  Cry

This is the Total Assets Held by the Lisk Foundation

As you can see above this liquidation is all about keeping their nice jobs as coders....why pesky work for someone else...when you  can liquidate LISK and get another year

of self-employment as coders out of this LISK project. So naw, they will drain this to the bone before having to work for someone else again. Long term planning like

buying Bitcoin and other such is not as sure a thing as funding your project 1 year into the future. IF no future arrives that works and LISK dies..hell, at least you had a

few years of trying to be independent and then you go off and work as a coder someplace else. The way they manage is all about status quo..the only risk the devs ever had

was the original ICO and they have made plenty of BTC off that by now to do as they please. Human nature the above hedge is.

1055  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit Signature Campaign (Bitcointalk) on: September 26, 2019, 11:38:12 PM
Well...this thread is locked by the Yobit OP from quoting so can't reply with a quote.

I figure this is a 'doomed' attempt again to have a bitcointalk signature campaign with an autobot kind of no supervision again...

yobit is kinda scamy to begin with..but than again ALL exchanges are scammy IMHO and Yobit has some crypto not on other exchanges (yep...they are that low in value

and use).

As far as the signature campaign..from what I can tell I can only see the signature is for something called

https//:cryptotalk.org

So maybe they mucked up again and you are supposed to post on that thread? Not Bitcointalk?

I can't see Theymos and the powers that be putting up with another Yobit signature campaign

anyway stuff to watch I guess for amusement

looked at this cryptotalk.org site...seems to be fishing for emails as its main goal.....

I'm betting Yobit either got scammed or hacked and awaits Thermo's Hammer) Wink

Anyone has any wild guess at which price the real support might be at?

No.

Well, for a wild guess... either we are already there or... $7500? $6400?

No, really, I could keep throwing numbers out of my ass but it would be just that. Otherwise I would be rich by now. I don't think anyone else REALLY knows either.

Yes, momentarily maybe, but there really isn't anything like real "support", imo.
Support is virtual, it's the next lower price region where a big dump is kind of slowed down, not much more.
Also you see a lot of quick, reactive adjustments in orderbooks lately (i guess by bots).

I'm tempted to sell some even at this price. Won't but tempted. Remember the IRS has not issued its revised Crypto 2019 guidelines yet, that will also be 'interesting' on

what the price does. Also have they even moved any of the mt. gox BTC out? Or is that also still not done?

Bitcoin: Always Drama!

This HODL lifestyle is exciting...either in a WTF dump way or a WTF pump way....

I think this is an absolute shitcoin but i have to say..... you are very honest to show your financial statements, bravo

Still wont buy until around 0.2$ so make me happy plz and dump a little

It is heading for what I bought in at on the ICO of 4/5ths of the total LISK I own. Exactly bought in at 25c per share ..when the ICO launched. (unsure if first run or 2nd run

or whatever) I am sure it was 25c per LISK.

They need to step things up, even with the BTC price bump they are barely hanging on by a thread.

Of course same thing for the last of my altcoins I own Siacoin and also bought in on LTC at 85 bucks....

sh*t flows downhill I guess

1058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 25, 2019, 03:55:20 PM
Maybe this is an aside...but perhaps we may see some significant whales dump BTC for USD if the USA and such if the world goes into a recession and stocks fall...so will it be HODL such

large stashes on a recession and economic downturn or will it be let some BTC bleed to USD or fiat of your choice, to keep their current lifestyle of such whales, to compensate traditional

investments declining, income-wise, due to a worldwide recession.

You could take this further. Is the price of BTC due to 'extra discretionary money' spent on BTC due to good economic times, by various folks/groups? Thus buying of BTC as such will dry up

in a recession? In other words, folks may WANT to buy BTC and crypto in the recession but will hold off on such, due to it being seen as more and option/luxury?

I guess we will see. Chump or Champ. But yeah, watching the HODL accumulation dump 15% or so sucks Smiley

I'll likely HODL anyway, stuff to do. Smiley

1059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 24, 2019, 01:49:58 PM
well, i got to admit that i expected some more buys during the launch of bakkt. this is pathetic.

Of course this is too early to try to figure out anything from this values, but of course one can try to compare to what happened on similar occasions:

Bakkt Bitcoin futures launch volumes 75 times smaller than CME’s first day

Quote
By the close of Monday, a total of 72 BTC had been traded on Bakkt—75 times less volume seen than December 2017 launch of CME’s cash-settled futures offering, which saw the equivalent of 5,298 BTC traded on its first day, as noted by Alex Kruger.

Maybe institutional investors are having troubles getting over their trust in fiat hangup?

If the main  difference is that CME is cash settled and BAKKT is BTC settled, then institutional investors might appreciate CME more because they can engage in a kind of naked shorting, while BAKKT requires the usage of the actual asset that is more in-line with the actual vision of bitcoin.  In other words, CME might better enable institutional investors to screw with bitcoin - versus a more honest mechanism that would be represented by the BAKKT tool(s)?

Am i on a wild goose chase in my thinking, here?

I think you nailed it pretty well.

Though I think of a 'wild goose chase' anytime I think I know something about Bitcoin. It is a better option than thinking I know anything about Bitcoin. Besides constantly thinking

about wild geese in a race is more calming..then trying to figure out what that wretched wench Bitcoin is up to behind my back...grrrrr.... Smiley

So trying to figure out what the issues are on above or whatever for the 1 to 1 fork at this time?

In order to have gotten the coins from the fork, you would have needed to have claimed it with the Bitcoin 2 Core wallet when claiming was still supported.

yeah..I guess I have to agree with others on here...kinda scammy...but than again only 100 Bitcoin 2 so what I'm out $100?

still...no kosher compared to other Bitcoin Forks...with such a time limit...

will go back to just lurking this thread now I guess
