1081  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks face heavy fines if they don't spend 30% of their income electronically on: December 16, 2019, 02:28:55 PM
I wonder how forcing them to spend 30% of their income electronically will avoid tax evasion when they can also fake their real income in the first place. I mean there are more reasonable ways of monitoring and avoiding tax evasion and money laundering without them forcing their citizens on spending their money. Encouraging their citizens to spend rather than to save money is more about them earning more income through taxes and it's really not about avoiding tax evasion. This might just be a desperate move from a country with a bad economy to encourage their people to spend and spend so that the economy will keep going.
1082  Other / Meta / Re: After submitting a report...... on: December 15, 2019, 09:06:11 PM
I know the solution is very simple and I can open the report page in a new tab. But most of the times I forget that. I can also use  "back" button after reporting. Despite of these, I think it would be better and more convenient if the report button navigates the user to the reported post not to the board contains the post. At least, it can save mare time.

Then it's not the forum's fault on why you think the "report to moderator" system isn't convenient on your side. You already know a good workaround and I think the best thing you can do is make it habitual to right-click the "report to moderator" and open it on a new tab, it's really simply and all it takes is just a habit to do it and it doesn't really need for the admins to change the whole reporting system for your own personal convenience.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 15, 2019, 08:13:40 PM

And with a poor performance from the team AC Milan's social media team still has the audacity to joke about the draw. At this point I see that they don't care about what the fans are feeling now and they only doing this just to have content on their social media which is a wrong move but if this is their idea of losing fans then I think they are on the right direction for some of Milan's die hard fans to move to another team which will most likely be Inter. On the match itself if it weren't for Kessie's handball we would at least have won the match by one goal aside from that Milan literally didn't convert any goals from all of the 23 chances they have all of which are very close to becoming one still they failed to deliver at least another one after Theo Hernandez disallowed goal.
1084  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What other options do I have when it comes to digital assets ? Besides crypto on: December 15, 2019, 07:16:43 PM
Speaking to you plainly here, at this present time technically all assets exist digitally now and cryptocurrencies are not actually pioneers in it. Stocks exists digitally you don't have to personally call a stock operator just to buy them and give you a stock certificate for the company's shares all is done digitally through a trading platform. The same can be said for bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs all of its process are mostly done with the use of the internet and not in a piece of paper. So really if you are looking for the next kind of “digital asset” you are seeing it right now and its Bitcoin and the rest of the coins that exists in the crypto market.
1085  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto Exchange BitMex Hit With $300 Million Investor Suit on: December 15, 2019, 06:10:23 PM
Aren't they the exchange that got sued by the US Government because of them having US traders to illegally trade in their platform since they aren't allowed to do so? The last time I check is that the authorities have found out that they have an office in the US specifically located in San Francisco which they constantly denied of it's existence.

they didn't get sued by the government. the CFTC launched a probe investigating possible misconduct. they haven't officially done anything (like issuing enforcement actions, etc)

this is what bloomberg said about it:

Quote
The probe is ongoing and the regulator’s investigations often don’t lead to allegations of misconduct.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-07-19/u-s-regulator-probing-crypto-exchange-bitmex-over-client-trades

I'm not surprised that there are no developments happening against their first case after all the US Government is known to do massive witch hunts to anyone in the crypto industry. The recent witch hunt they are currently conducting is the DoJ filing a case against Virgil Griffith who apparently went to North Korea to teach them how to avoid sanctions woth the use of crypto and blockchain. The way I see it someone or a group of politicians are just waiting for that massive score just to ruin the crypto industry in the US which I think why this is happening.
1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Cryptocurrency is inevitable" says Indian Parliament member Dr. Swami on: December 15, 2019, 05:09:43 PM
For the countries with negative views about cryptocurrency it's really a matter of when not if for them to finally acvept cryptocurrencies. It's when they start realizing for themselves that they are missing an opportunity for not giving crypto a chance will make them change their views about it. Just like how the Russian government change their views about crypto it starts with one person advocating it and I see that if Swamy starts to gather support then a India that is crypto friendly will be finally possible for them.
1087  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Another Fake Coinbase Giveaway on: December 15, 2019, 03:25:33 PM
Scammer always camouflages and changed another BTC address and domain, but forgot to change the IP address.

Thank you for that info, so @Baofeng is that also your way on catching up different scam giveaway websites? You just monitor the known ip addresses they use and wait for a new website created under it? I was assuming early on that people just discover this on their regular day surfing the web that's why I'm still wondering why these types of websites are having so many victims in the first place. If this doesn't show up in Google I think the scammers are working manually on promoting the link in high traffic websites such as Facebook and Youtube.

The last time I check is that the authorities have found out that they have an office in the US specifically located in San Francisco which they constantly denied of it's existence. So if what Frank Amato is saying is true this just proves more that they indeed have operated in the US illegally since they have a US investor backing them already.
1089  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Another Fake Coinbase Giveaway on: December 14, 2019, 09:12:25 PM
Just for future references how/where do you manage to find these kinds of fake giveaways online or from what source did you discover this website? Because when I do my regular way of browsing the internet that includes a lot of time in the social media, Google, and Youtube I barely see these types of fake giveaways except from the Scam accusation board. It just makes me wonder how these types of fake giveaways manage to scam a lot of people. One thing to note that is this website on their "live transaction" page is posting fake transactions just to make it look like they are receiving and sending payments on their end.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 12, 2019, 09:00:43 PM
According to reliable journalists here, Juventus is now pushing for Tonali.

Probably you don't know him, he is called "The next Pirlo".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxA7QulZBi8

I would be very careful if I was the one managing Juventus on signing Sandro Tonali. He looks good really but he was only impressive when Brescia was still a Serie B team now that they are on the Serie A Tonali hasn't produce the same numbers he had when they were in the lower league, looking at how he plays today it looks like he still doesn't have the hang of it in Italy's top league his composure is pretty off and gets intimidated on big names. If Juventus wants to develop this guy as the next Pirlo I think they can but I'll say it would take some time even if they have the best youth development in Serie A.
1091  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make big profits from exchanging bitcoin to altcoins on: December 12, 2019, 06:51:28 PM
You just showed a price chart of a token it doesn't count as proof that you are indeed the ones who cause that to pump. Nevertheless pump groups are a bull shit and when you say you will be giving a signal for "all of the members of the group" to buy at the same time you only mean the ones who aren't part of your inner circle because you already have positions before the signal even starts which gives you the chance to bail out as fast as possible as soon as the rest of your members starts to pump the price for you. You aren't really any different from any group I have seen and literally every pump group I have observed often screws up their members just for their personal gain.
1092  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need People to Takeover Dead Projects on: December 12, 2019, 04:47:16 PM
Is this even financially advisable for a team to do? IMHO if I see a dead project being revived back even by a new team I would still go away from it. If you can't see what I'm saying just imagine Bitconnect announcing that they will be managed by a “new” team with promising developments would you still be interested? Of course not their reputation died at the same time Bitconnect was discovered as a fraud. It would really be better on having a new project rather than reviving a dead one.
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: December 12, 2019, 03:13:15 PM
At this point Connor McGregor isn't choosing who his fighting anymore he just wants to face someone in yhe ring just to earn that UFC money. I'm seeing a routine here that he only comes out of retirement and use his “fame” to still earn that big money he will get. Donald Cerrone isn't even on par with the MMA fighters McGregor has previously fought so I think it is safe to say McGregor here will tale the W back home, Cerrone also had loss two matches straight both of which are TKOs
1094  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-05] SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce to Speak at Crypto Finance Conferenc on: December 12, 2019, 02:22:52 PM
Hester Pierce although being part of the Republican Party is what I can say out voice inside the SEC if I recall it correctly this is not her first time to talk in an event and she had said a dozen times already that Bitcoin can be considered as “internet money” in the future she is in fact one of the most pro-crypto politicians out there. Hopefully in there upcoming conference we will hear more positive news about SEC and the US government in general on going forward with crypto.
1095  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Sec regulation making the Bull market slower? on: December 11, 2019, 08:59:35 PM
We don't really have any choice don't we? It's either that or the whole crypto industry has to go underground without any kind of support from any government? We knew that this day will be coming where regulations, laws, and rules will take place in order for the cryptocurrencies to be fully accepted and be mass adapted by all. This is the thing aside from anonymity we have to sacrifice in order for us to be accepted by the government. Besides the bearish market in any cycle is just temporary and there are other factors to consider aside from regulations to see why we are having a slow moving market for months now, SEC regulating crypto might not even be the biggest factor affecting the slowed growth for crypto.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Trust Libra Coin With Your Money? on: December 11, 2019, 08:22:10 PM
The signs are out there already telling us to back off Libra. A lot of powerful countries such as France, Italy, Netherlands, and Germany are already against Libra and has told that they will block any kind of Libra related transactions that will happen in their country. Aside from that the heat against Facebook's privacy and data protection controversy is not yet dead it may have died down a bit but the heat will rise once the launch will get nearer. Don't be fooled by the support it is having by other big companies since it doesn't tell the success it will have in the future, it may have a lot of companies supporting it but it also has a lot of governments against it so I don't think they will win in this one.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 11, 2019, 07:12:26 PM
Later Juventus and Bayern games seems interesting

This is indeed a good match and I think Juventus needs to bounce back in this game since Lazio defeated them with a 2 goal league in Serie A. Bayer Leverkusen on the other hand looks pretty good lately considering that they don't have any superstar in the team aside from Kai Haverts and Jonathan Tah they still manage to win their last three games including a win against Bayern Munich. This is a must win game for Juventus and it will be a top match for a team who has good form lately.
1098  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Summary of cash in/out limits of BSP approved Virtual Currency Exchanges on: December 11, 2019, 05:11:45 PM
Nice info paps di ko alam na meron na pala napakaraming BTC wallet provider pero nakalimutan mo ata paps maglagay kung anong crypto wallet provider and custodial or non-custodial. Gusto ko rin sana malaman para mas ma try at ma explore kung sino sa kanila ang best wallet provider kasi ang coins.ph ok naman kaya lang sobrang higpit, gusto ko kasi i can use my money freely without being monitored.

Bakit ano ba yung experience mo about coins.ph? Kung ibig mong sabihin sa pag-momonitor nila is yung strict KYC process for each level of verification wala naman silang choice dun kung hindi i-enforce yun kasi yun yung rinequire sakanila ng BSP/SEC natin to operate here freely in the Philippines, pag wala yun baka malagot pa ang coins.ph. Base din sa experience ko wala pa naman akong na-raranasan about sa pag-momonitor nila besides the Cash IN/OUT limits and KYC. I can move freely my BTC as well as send and receive BTC anytime wala syang stops or kahit ano about being limited sa use ng app nila.
1099  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Zap wallet on: December 11, 2019, 04:22:33 PM
But does your wallet complete/finish the syncing process? And how much time are we talking about here? Since I've been reading a lot of similar cases where they actually take up several hours just to complete the syncing process and after that one long syncing process the next ones became normal after that. Just to be sure you must see if your connection is stable or if the zap wallet is somehow being restricted by your firewall and anti-virus since this are the main culprits of having a restrictive connection on wallets.
1100  Economy / Economics / Re: Future without Middle men big way, but big Question? on: December 10, 2019, 03:26:10 PM
Just like the first answer to your question said - there are many flaws in you question. By the way, what makes you think that there are going to be "decentralized banks"? What does that even mean? No matter how much the world changes and if there happens to be crypto banks, that doesn't mean bankers will lose their jobs, rather they will upgrade and adapt to the new changes. There are crypto exchanges and these exchanges are being operated by human beings and not some kind of machine or whatever you think it is.

He is probably talking about our crypto wallets acting out as our banks in terms of holding our money and  handling our transactions. But the problem here is cryptocurrencies aren't a complete package compared to what traditional banks are offering. Yes we can hold our crypto and di transactions but our wallets can do just that you can't apply for loans, credit, and mutual funds like what financial institutions can do and that is where the biggest chunk of their earnings comes from. So the possibility of banks disappearing are really slim especially when people do go for banks to have loans.
