There was no improvement from Napoli side in the second half and the Napoli - Inter game finished by a 0-3 score. It is a really disappointing result for Napoli before anything else. They just replaced their manager too early in the season. Mazzarri won't do magic in the end. He will also need some more time to adapt to the team.
I don't think the rest of the season in the league will be much brighter for Napoli. I mean they would just fight for finishing the season in top 4 in my opinion. While teams like Roma are also doing well recently the competition for the fourth position can be tougher than they expect on the upcoming weeks.

Barcelona got ahead by 1-0 against Atletico Madrid a couple of minutes ago. Joao Felix scored the goal and it is good for him. Because there has been a really long time since he scored a goal in the La Liga.  But he is still performing decently in general. He has adapted to left wing really quickly. Playing for his dream team must have made things easier for him at the same time. It is still early to say that Barcelona would win this game though. Because Atletico Madrid are also a really solid team this season. Barcelona had better do their best to make it 2-0 otherwise the equalizer might not be too far. Scoring against Atletico Madrid? Wow! I hope he didn't celebrate that otherwise he'll be booed by them fans of Atletico Madrid.  How well can they ( Barcelona ) hold down the goal scored? He scored during the Champions League game against Porto, Yes? Then, it's back to back goals for the lad. Even for Chelsea he did well. He's going to stay longer since the talented Fati won't be coming back anytime soon. I'm having the feeling of Atletico Madrid coming back into the game. They haven't really gone so far in the game. He celebrated the goal actually.  I understand him for playing at his dream team now but he is temporarily here. And he is going to be back at Atletico Madrid at the end of the season as long as Barcelona don't decide to sign him permanently. Considering that I would have expected Felix not to celebrate much after scoring that goal. I know he doesn't like to be a part of Atletico Madrid anymore especially due to the disagreement between him and Simeone. Simeone has extended his contract newly so Felix would like to leave the team permanently. But still I think he should be more respectful when he scores against his previous team. |

PSG must be really shocked when Donnarumma got that red card early in the game. It isn't an intentional challenge of course but there is nothing to do about it. However PSG still stayed strong on the pitch. They won the game by 2-0 anyway against Le Havre. Mbappe's goal was really lovely by the way as the goalkeeper couldn't do much against that shot. Vitinha's goal was a little lucky but he was still rated the highest in terms of performance for the whole game. By the way the backup goalkeeper Tenas did a really good work as well. I have seen some impressive saves of him. Thanks to him PSG's job got easier. |

Manchester City are still on a winless streak now. This was the third game in a row for them in which they got a draw. All of them were against big teams of the league. They conceded 8 goals in these games at the same time.
This is just horrible for Manchester City in my opinion. Because their defense isn't this weak normally. But they just can't have exactly the same kind of domination they imagine in big games. Next time they have an away game against Aston Villa. This is also technically a tough game on paper. Because Emery's Aston Villa are doing really impressive work this season. Let's see whether this bad streak will end for Manchester City.

Manchester United and Newcastle both have been reported to be targeting to sign Guirassy from Stuttgart. The reported fee thought by these teams for him is 15 million pounds. This would be a ridiculous amount to be offered for him honestly. Because there is no way they can sign him for such a small amount.
Stuttgart wouldn't like to let Guirassy go that easy. His market value is 40 million euros. He would surely like to play for bigger teams but this is just a very optimistic offer for him. Both of these teams are rich in the end so they should be increasing their offer way more.
Guirassy reminds me of Kolo Muani who left Frankfurt and PSG paid a whopping 90 million euros or more? I don't know the exact amount, but I don't think that Guirassy is worse than Kolo Muani, but the difference may be the age as Kolo Muani is three years younger. Still when we consider what the market has been looking like in the last few years, 15 million is impossible unless he has that written in his contract. We are also talking about rich Premier League clubs. Stuttgart could possibly ask for 60 million and more. If one of those clubs really wants him, they would also pay that amount. We never know the highest potential of these two players actually. Maybe Guirassy would look less skillful than Kolo Muani first. But when Guirassy is transferred by a big team maybe he would surprise you by performing much better than Kolo Muani under the same conditions. It is important where he would go as well of course. Guirassy should join a team in which he can find as much time as possible to play. Otherwise even if he starts making more money he wouldn't have enough time to be a part of the starting eleven. This would just block his development a lot. |

Leverkusen are now under the threat of losing the lead to Bayern Munich. Because if Bayern Munich win their missing game they are going to be taking the lead from them. Leverkusen could have won normally but they didn't have a lucky weekend. Despite showing a really impressive performance they had to make do with one point.
But even if Leverkusen lose the lead after this result I don't doubt them about their continuing to be competitive for the league title until the end of the season. They totally deserve to be one of the number one title contenders considering how great they perform.

The first half of the match between Napoli and inter Milan just ended and inter Milan is leading by one goal, it's been a tough one so far and both teams have been in the a battle to secure three points by the end of the match but it's looking like it will most likely end in a draw.
In the second half I expect to see a better and improved performance by Napoli, a performance good enough to help them secure a goal by the end of the match. Napoli is playing from home so I expect do much more better than they are doing currently as they have the home advantage but then it's true inter Milan isn't a weak team either so I'm not expecting an easy one for Napoli but they can definitely get a draw by the end of the match.
Indeed it has been a balanced game so far. But Inter still managed to get ahead thanks to Calhanoglu's goal. There was a disallowed goal by Thuram earlier in the first half as well. Walter Mazzarri had better think about doing something against Inter's attacking strength. Most importantly they need to improve their efficiency in attacking. There is a really great attacking trio on the front. Even Osimhen by himself should be able to score at least one goal. He was injured for a while but he is back now. He needs to find his first goal after this injury period as soon as possible to regain his impressive scoring performance. |

Manchester City - Tottenham was really hell of a game today. I was curious about whether Manchester City would lose points in another big game. It really happened again. It was another high-scoring game at the same time just as the Chelsea - Manchester City one. This time it was 3-3 instead of 4-4. Tottenham never gave up during the game. Guardiola just can't find a solution to their weaknesses in defense in big games. They have conceded so many goals in such games this season so far. They are behind Arsenal and Liverpool both in the standings now. Getting three points in big games can also be really crucial in the Premier League for the title. |

Nothing can stop Leverkusen to win Bundesliga this year and I will keep this bold prediction for the rest of the season. Sure , Bayern looks strong , healthy and always ready to win but Leverkusen looks more like a team than Bayern in my opinion and this will be a huge advantage when they will face each other later.
Also , Stuttgart really wants to catch an European spot for next year and by the way they are playing right now , they can achieve at least a Conference League spot.
The way Leverkusen are playing is really impressive. Today against Dortmund their performance was again really good. There was a dominant game by Leverkusen but they weren't on their good day on one hand. Because despite trying really hard they still couldn't score more than one goal. Even that equalizer came quite late in the game. I mean Dortmund could have even won here without showing a decent performance. Because I can't say that they were good at all today. But it is normal to see that because of Leverkusen's great system. Especially in away games your job is much more difficult against them. |

Manchester United played much worse than I thought. They couldn't do much against Newcastle. They found the target even only once. On the other hand Newcastle played very dominantly. They just couldn't find the target even in the half of their shots but this was still enough to win the game by 1-0.
Manchester United have already been unreliable with their performance though. They had a winning streak in the league but the defensive problems were hard to unsee. We saw it clearly against Newcastle in this game.

Milan have finally started doing something for real. First they beat Fiorentina in San Siro in a tough game. After that we have seen them beating Frosinone by 3-1. These are both home wins but doesn't matter. What matters for them now is that they need to keep this up not to drop down from the title competition.
Because Juventus also won this week. Inter's game is going to be really challenging though. Maybe they might lose points once again but I don't feel like they would lose the game. Napoli have replaced their manager maybe but their job is going to be really difficult anyway.

There was a quite balanced game between Lens and Lyon actually. I appreciated Lyon's trying to do something here. They were really good at finding the target quite many times as well. Their xG was near 3.00 while Lens' was near 2.00. But still Lens were the one with scoring 3 goals.
Lens got a red card as well but it came too late. If it was an earlier red card then things could have been much different in this game. Lyon really need everything in their favour as much as possible otherwise they just can't win.

While Leverkusen are playing against Dortmund there will be a good challenge for Bayern Munich on one hand. Bayern Munich are playing away against Frankfurt. There have been quite competitive games played between these two sides. But these days Bayern Munich seem to be in much better condition.
Frankfurt have lost so many points recently and they couldn't win in their last two league games as well. I feel like Bayern Munich will manage to win even if it becomes by a gap of one goal. I expect Kane to score another and answer Guirassy's goal this week.

I can't be so positive about them in this tough game. In addition to that Newcastle beat Chelsea hard last week. If I pick a side to win I would definitely go with Newcastle here. Manchester United still have problems in their defense, other than that they also have problems in the front line because they are not creative enough in building an attack that leads to goals. Newcastle are in decline, not like last season where they could do something better than this season. It is quite difficult to predict this match, because both clubs are in the same inconsistency. But an advantage for Newcastle because they will act as the host in this match, it is an opportunity to take advantage of the pressure that the supporters will put on Manchester United. It is good that you have mentioned the defense problem for the Red Devils. There are still missing players such as Martinez. Varane is back actually but he is no longer able to play like in the old times. He was in the substitutes in the Galatasaray game for example and it was a really important game for Manchester United. West Ham are really ambitious in the Europa League this time. They qualified for the Europa Conference League finale before you know. I don't see any reason preventing them from doing it in the Europa League as well. They are already among the title contenders.
Maybe they aren't the biggest title contender but Europa League is always open for seeing new champions. Even Frankfurt became the champions for example. Maybe the biggest title contenders such as Liverpool, Leverkusen and Roma will fail unlike the expectations. West Ham can get one step forward in this case.

Inter's fixture is quite challenging recently. After facing Juventus in the league previously and having a really tiring game against Benfica in the Champions League their next opponent is Napoli. It is a league game I mean. Inter got 2 draws in the games I mentioned. This Napoli game is an away one as well so I'm curious about whether this streak will continue.
Inter can't win against Napoli in away games for a while at the same time. Considering all of these it is quite difficult for me to believe in Inter to win this game. Instead I think both teams to score is one of the best options for this game.
I wasn't expecting that much from Inter Milan in this game against Benfica. They should have channeled all of the energy to the game against Juventus and made sure they'd win the game but they ended the game all squared. Inter Milan already qualified, there shouldn't too much pressure when they face Real Sociedad for the last match in the group, they would do well to win to avoid tougher games during knockouts. Against Napoli would be tough one, they have to win to extend their lead on the standing. Napoli with a new coach at home will want to show the fans working. Tough one, difficult to predict. That game against Benfica was really awkward. But Inter still managed to make a huge comeback from being 3-0 behind. I assume there was some complacency by Inter side there. Because they already guaranteed last 16 so they didn't need to show their best performance. But against Napoli I'm quite confident that we would see a much better effort from Inter players. Especially Lautaro Martinez is on fire so his goal contribution will be really crucial here as well. But I won't bet on a side here for sure. I didn't do so for the Juventus - Inter game too. |
