1161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of an iPhone in Bitcoin at their launch over the years. on: October 05, 2021, 02:50:58 AM
This is an interesting chart and it can be applied to many things. There are things I purchased in the past where I spent a considerable amount of bitcoin which if I had hodled I would have a lot more money now. I do sometimes feel conflicted about spending my BTC because of this but I always justify it by spending it on things I truly find necessary.

It's been 9 weeks and no action from @lightlord. He said that there will be payments in bimonthly periods, but this is a bit annoying as we know that he is not punctual.

Quote

It has been 61 days since the last payment was sent. Two full months have passed so I would expect payments to be sent this week if they are being true to that bimonthly schedule but as we have seen in the past we can never be too sure.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How a token burn works? on: October 04, 2021, 03:51:29 AM
Almost every project that has their own token does burnings whether they are scammy or legit projects. They don't burn what is in user's wallets. If it is an exchange they will burn the fees they have collected. Since they are making a profit from all the other coins they have listed, burning their own native token is not a huge loss.
1164  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dewvpn is good ? on: October 04, 2021, 03:31:57 AM
The only free VPNs worth using are ProtonVPN and Windscribe. They don't offer as many locations as a paid VPN but they are well known and have gained enough trust. A lot of other free options are only looking to collect data or to use your own internet connection to route other customers traffic.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 04, 2021, 02:07:39 AM
We will have to wait and see what the IBF decides. Triller wants Kambosos to be stripped of his mandatory position so they can find a replacement opponent for Lopez. I think that is unlikely to happen. We will probably see Triller declared to be in default and they will lose their deposit and that will add to the more than $10 million they have already lost in costs related to this event. The rights to the fight will end up going to the next highest bidder which was Matchroom.
1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which crypto and NFT project do you invest in in Sept.???  on: October 03, 2021, 04:24:51 AM
I have not got caught up in the NFT hype. I thought about PancakeSwap's NFT project but after the market turned bearish I reconsidered and went a different direction. Something I'm earning passively is TENFI, which is the token of a yield optimizer. The difference between this platform and similar yield farming projects is that they are trying to create a use for their token. I've been disappointed by Pancake Bunny in the past but I am hoping TEN Finance will do a better job when they launch their yield index and their revenue sharing product.
1167  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is listed on CoinGecko|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🐒 ApeSwap partnership on: October 03, 2021, 04:05:10 AM
Money spent on marketing is never wasted! For sure Betfury is spending a lot on marketing, but I can only guess they don't find this forum attractive for more than this thread!
You are right, some people would say the best marketing is the one from person to person... it's what we are doing here, talking about Betfury and about the experience from there, which is positive!

I remember that bounty, looks like so long time ago... I think a proper signature campaign would be more appropriate this time! With better avatars and signatures! Smiley
I don't know for sure, but I think Betfury was not satisfied with the result of the previous bounty campaign. It may be one of the reasons why they are not interested in promoting their site on this forum at the moment. Nevertheless, it would be great if they decided to do another signature campaign.

They not only have to promote the casino but they are also trying to promote adoption of their token. Maybe a campaign on this forum doesn't meet their needs. After their first campaign people dumped their tokens at the first opportunity. They are doing a great job on social media where they are able to reach a broader audience.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6000 coinbase clients hacked on: October 03, 2021, 01:47:24 AM
SMS based authentication has been known to be vulnerable for some time. I do not understand why this is still an option on Coinbase. We have already seen hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars stolen from customers' accounts through SIM swapping attacks. They should have done more to protect their customers and I hope that they will cover these losses for the victims who were hacked.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a new blockchain that will compete with Ethereum? on: October 02, 2021, 08:13:17 AM
There is no individual Ethereum app or use case which I feel I can't do without. The alternatives on other chains are just as good. Maybe they are not as established so people will trust Ethereum apps more based on their reputation. As time goes on I believe we could see people migrating towards the cheapest fee options and that Ethereum's dominance will be greatly reduced.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stacking vs mining options? on: October 02, 2021, 07:07:09 AM
CAKE has been one of the better performing coins recently. PancakeSwap has done a good job at giving it utility and increasing demand. They have also made it deflationary with weekly token burns to compensate for the high APY. Ensuring that more coins are burned than are being minted has kept the price stable even during the bear market.

Not until the staking period is over you won't be able to sell your staking coins and just imagine if the market takes an unexpected turn

This is not a problem if you are staking on a decentralized exchange. You can withdraw your coins from a staking pool anytime you want.

One of the most common risks is the underlying token goes down in value like it did for you. Another reason is called impermanent loss, read about this. This is very common with tokens which got low liquidity and high interest rates. Some value can dump the token on Defi and lead to a huge loss for all the liquidity providers.

Impermanent loss isn't possible with single asset staking. 1 CAKE will always equal 1 CAKE, it can't lose value against itself.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: October 02, 2021, 01:48:24 AM

No, it cannot be postponed again, the fight was first announced last January this year, so we waited many months to finally see this fight. If one of them gets infected with covid-19, I think the council has to penalize them because it's already big negligence of not protecting the money invested in this fight.

One thing is for sure - this fight will not be happening next week. I also don't think there is enough time to do it on the 16th. They only have two weeks remaining and tickets aren't even on sale. We will probably see Matchroom take over as promoter and hopefully nothing else goes wrong.

~the only difference would be if they decide to change the unit of account to XFUN.

That's not going to happen. It's a side chain so XFUN is FUN but transacted on a different blockchain.

I understand that FUN and XFUN are essentially the same token but represented on different networks. It was just my theory that if users' tokens were bridged over to Polygon and that became the preferred version by FreeBitco.in users then it would make sense to have our balance on the site displayed as XFUN.
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: October 01, 2021, 02:49:37 AM
Memecoins are subject to extreme volatility. For newbie investors this is not good and many of them will want to get out as soon as there is a big crash. The user base has grown a lot thanks to Elon Musk but there is only so much one person can do. We have seen it cool off recently and Elon hasn't tweeted much about it. There is only so much you can say about a coin with a dog's face as it's symbol. Doge is mainly just a pump and dump coin right now. It does not have much utility and isn't great as a store of value. It will go away like a lot of shitcoins if we don't see meaningful development and adoption soon.

So, if I understand our Fun on freebitco will became Xfun? Or we will have 2 token: Fun and Xfun? And what will happen with locked tokens?

According to FUN Token's website, the tokens held on FreeBitco.in will be put into escrow and they will mint an equivalent amount of XFUN on Polygon. FUN is pegged to XFUN so you will not have double the amount of tokens. Tokens locked in FUN savings should not be impacted, the only difference would be if they decide to change the unit of account to XFUN.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: September 30, 2021, 03:24:05 AM
Butler could probably make more money by stepping aside and allowing Casimero to fight Inoue. Inoue needs an opponent for the end of the year and it would be a shame if he couldn't fight a big name due to the sanctioning bodies getting in the way. Hopefully an agreement is reached and we will see a unification fight instead of the mandatory.
Who says that though? I mean if it's not official then shouldn't we bother too much? How can Butler make more money when he steps aside to give way to Inoue?

If it goes to purse bids he only gets 20% of the bid and it is also not expected to be a very large bid. Getting step aside money and a shot at the Inoue-Casimero winner is without a doubt more lucrative than getting paid a low purse in a fight he is expected to lose. It doesn't matter anymore because they did not reach an agreement and the purse bid is already scheduled.

Of course, you didn't! I understand your logic, and I am active almost every day but sometimes I simply forget to claim cashback... I forget it's there! Smiley And when it hits me and I check cashback I only see "expired"! Somehow I am sure I will miss it here and there again!
Well, it's the system... I don't like it especially, but I don't have anything against it. Of course, it would be better if cashback can't expire, so we would be able to collect it and get to some significant amount before claiming!

Yeah, I also forget to check it in my account. Although it's worth noting that Betfury sends notifications about it in the right corner of the screen, but it's inconspicuous. I think it would be useful for users if Betfury added email notifications about cashback as an option in the account settings.

When I used to play at BetFury sometimes I didn't even receive a notification and when I would finally remember to check if I had cashback available it would already be expired. I agree that the system could use some improvements. The little green dot they had when you received a notification was always easy to miss if you weren't specifically looking for it.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: September 30, 2021, 01:30:45 AM
Triller cannot seem to do anything right. They already had a date and venue agreed upon only to change their minds and delay the fight again without having Kambosos' approval. They have not taken their duty as a promoter seriously and I think Kambosos has every right to want their bid defaulted so that another promoter will take over the event.
1178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is in a downtrend, will it last long or temporary? on: September 29, 2021, 02:34:36 AM
I am choosing to remain optimistic. I had some big purchases planned for this month and was counting on the price remaining higher so that I wouldn't have to spend so much BTC. Now is the opportunity to be stacking sats instead of spending them so I've made some tough choices and made adjustments to my budget. I am hoping the news cycle will be more positive next month but with the hostility we are seeing by many governments and a struggling economy it may not be so easy.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is telling people you're into stocks "cool" but crypto is a big secret? on: September 28, 2021, 09:02:11 PM
Many people hold their own crypto so if you own a lot of it and are bragging about it this could be a huge security risk. Somebody might threaten to hurt you to force you to transfer all your crypto to them. You can't really rob someone of their stocks so for some people they are more comfortable talking about this.

no sending any email id or passport, not one person use all accounts, my sister not live with us, but maybe we have each account without referral.

You dont seems to understand the main point. One household signing under each another account as referall already sounds sketchy and on top of that everyone in that household is probably going to use the same IP. Aside from that, there is no legit way to prove that you are not trying to abuse the site by posing as several people using different account

for premium need only buy 2500 tokes Fun and hold, or lock?

Buy and hold but you might as well just lock them if you are planning to get the premium membership benefit

ok, this means i need lock them as i see this

You don't need to lock tokens to get the premium benefits. The only reason to lock them is if you want to get interest on your FUN tokens. If they are unlocked you still get WOF spins, higher interest on your BTC, and cashback on your wagers.
