1161  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think Bitcoin Market Need Promotes for Price up ? on: July 25, 2023, 04:10:42 PM
I am Seeing Bitcoin Market is Not good Its Correction every Time
It can Hit $25000  ?
In actual sense, no one can tell you where Bitcoin price is headed exactly. At a time like this, most people will tell you it's upward bound because of the effect of its halving in 2024. That event is just around the corner and if by now Bitcoin hasn't dumped, it simply means it's going to take a very ominous FUD to drag it down. I don't see that happening. I'm optimistic at the moment that price will shoot up instead of going down. If you're waiting at $25,000 level to get in, you may get lucky or not. However, it's better not to miss the bus than miss it. If I were you (while waiting for it to get to $25k) I would DCA on it.
1162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: July 25, 2023, 01:19:02 PM
~
Unfortunately, learning by reading is not enough, never enough. They must experience with real trading practice which will help them to test knowledge they learn, test themselves including their deeply inside personal characteristics.
Exactly the point I buttressed there. Reading and all that are mere theories. Trading is essentially practical, not theory. This is why most people who talk about trading with all the razzmatazz never get to excel making profit because they don't have a good handle on trading. It's like a medical doctor who's good at book work but never gets to perform surgeries. His mindset won't be like one who has been performing surgeries all years. This is why I criticize those who think trading is a shortcut to making it big. It's never. It requires practical hardwork and patience.
1163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Is dirty Bitcoin an Attractive Option for growing money on: July 25, 2023, 11:19:06 AM
OP's moniker (idkwhatimdoinghere4039) is indeed a very hilarious but revealing one. Truly, "I Don't Know What I'm Doing Here" doesn't know what's happening here. What do you actually mean by idkwhatimdoinghere4039

What is your definition for dirty bitcoin?
~snipped~
If you are interested I can send you a link
Someone asked you what you meant by "dirty Bitcoin," and you're asking them to meet up with you on Telegram or receive external links. That's not a great strategy to win your arguments.
1164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: July 25, 2023, 08:41:55 AM
Investment and trading books, articles and videos are made by people who might not actually be winning traders. They make their money by writing "investment materials" and sell it to us, the plebs.
With the few years of experience I've garnered in trading, I'm of the opinion that those who jump up and down on social media brandishing one paid signal group, articles, books or the other aren't actually profitable. They're mere marketers. Those who trade for a living don't have time for such unnecessary involvement on daily basis.

Talking about those who think they can be self sufficient by solely learning on their own, my word to them is that they will easily and quickly burn out. In trading, no man is an island on his own. We need the knowledge of others to know where we truly stand. Cross fertilization of ideas is needed to help proper one further in life, trading especially.
1165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Impact of Bitcointalk forum in our lives on: July 24, 2023, 09:47:57 PM
I would be lying if I say that it impacted my life so much, if I'm being honest, being involved in this forum is comparable almost to being a regular poster in Reddit, the only difference is there's a way to make money here although that's not entirely a difference. What made the most impact to me is probably bitcoin itself and not the forum, bitcoin changed my mindset about money, didn't know that I wanted freedom in my finances although I don't want to be too attached to material stuff anymore. Maybe I am still finding how this forum impacted me because there's still so much to learn.
Even though reluctantly, it still escaped you to acknowledge that this forum provides an avenue through which posters get paid for posting. I don't think Reddit does that. To be frank, there aren't a handful of sites that do what Bitcointalk does. It provides us knowledge free of charge and we still get paid through signature campaigns just for sharing ideas, knowledge and gossips. This forum has indeed helped (still helping) a lot of families out financially, whether directly or indirectly. We shouldn't jettison that.
1166  Economy / Economics / Re: Fast Transportation Makes Economic Turnover Faster on: July 24, 2023, 08:20:25 PM
do you all agree that with the emergence of fast transportation now, the economic turnover is also getting faster, this is based on the fact that any delivery will be distributed quickly, automatically it will make the price of living necessities and kind remains stable as long as it can be distributed quickly!
At high school we were taught in economics the crucial part transportation plays in both the lives of man and his agricultural produce. These are things we see in the open. It's not rocket science to know it. That's why the least thing that affects transportation also tampers with the cost of living and its standard. It's a given that whenever there's an increase in the pump price of PMS, cost of living in general flies up. It begins with whatever that's sold in the market. Fix electricity supply and transportation you would've solved half of man's basic needs.
1167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MT4 lots and leverage on: July 24, 2023, 04:09:22 PM
Mt4 is good for forex but shouldn’t be used for crypto.
We know that forex trading existed long before the discovery of cryptos and Meta4 was the in-thing then. That explains it. MT5 is a new discovery and an update on MT4. So, it's expected that most forex brokers are already hooked up on that platform. I've also see a broker that has Mt4 and Mt5 platforms. It's a matter of choice, I think.

Quote
So it’s great if you lose all your money but if you actually make a profit they will use any slight error in their terms agreement to void the trades and close your account. My advice is get a real broker.
That's the way of criminal brokers and we've them a lot in FX. The advantage FX trading has over cryptos is that such brokers can be reported to regulatory bodies if you've solid proof against them or you drag them to www.forexpeacearmy.com (FPA) which they dread. I once took a broker to FPA and won my case against the broker.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Farmer's Bitcoin Investment on: July 24, 2023, 03:24:57 PM
His success made all the farmers in our area interested in Bitcoin investment.
That simply emphasizes the aphorism – Failure is a bastard. People only want to be associated with success and not failure. Others saw your uncle's success as an achievement they could tap into after they must've shown skepticism while your uncle was starting off with his plan.

Bitcoin may be worth 100k$ around 2025. Then maybe we can earn from Bitcoin.  And we can go further in agricultural development.
It's almost assured that it will happen, except something very unusual disrupts the Bitcoin circle before then. Next year is halving, it's a price chase from there till 2025. I believe Bitcoin will do above $120k in its next all time high expected in 2025.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency comes close to bitcoin? on: July 24, 2023, 02:14:26 PM
I see people saying that nothing else comes close to Bitcoin and I don’t really believe that is true. I believe there are many superior coins out there that do a better job than Bitcoin.
Oh, I thought I was the lonely one with such a thought.

I believe ETH has better utility than what Bitcoin offers. It has advanced this industry more than Bitcoin and every other alts. Let's not even go into its contract utility which Bitcoin doesn't have. However, I think what seemed to have given Bitcoin that edge is the pseudonym anonymity of ownership and its decentralized nature. These two have endeared it to a very strong and committed community. It's the fan base that has given Bitcoin the value of attraction.
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM or not ? on: July 24, 2023, 12:03:43 PM
you have already got the answer , better to close this thread now and learn your lessons.
Exactly my thought, and to even think OP hasn't been around these past days after opening this thread makes it all amusing that they aren't even reading here. It behooves the moderators to lock this thread up now.
1171  Other / Meta / Re: The problems newbies face on: July 24, 2023, 11:27:40 AM

An example of a bad post is, for instance, your last topic: What is political Economy. What were you trying to achieve with it, anyway?
Oh mine! I'm not one to easily say someone's posts are shitposts but I've to say it here on that Kalson9's thread. I'm trying to unread what I read in the OP there. Like you asked, what indeed, was the OP trying to achieve with that? Total nonsense and I think such deserves to be taken off by the mods. Perhaps that's how best that user writes because I quickly ran through their other posts and there isn't any difference in their sentence construction.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your watch list on: July 23, 2023, 05:23:14 PM
XRP already have shown the possible move of bull at the full ruling of the case going to their favour, so that is one coin that I feel may get on the bull ride, maybe it will go pass its ATH of $3.
Even though the court ruling favoured XRP, it didn't move as expected. I had expected that it would crush $1 after the ruling but it couldn't and that's disappointing by my judgment. Perhaps what caused its slow pace could be that there are still some other issues it has to settle in court. Talking about its ATH, getting there again will depend on the coming alt bull rally expected after Bitcoin halving. In summary, and from all indication, XRP continues to be behind expectations. It hasn't been fantastic like its counterparts – LTC, ETH, BTC and other top ranked alts.
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM or not ? on: July 22, 2023, 04:55:16 PM
What's more, they've told me that I can't pay this fee with the funds available on the platform, but that I have to pay it with funds from another portfolio. If I don't do this, I won't be able to recover my funds on this platform.
How you guys only get to locate this forum after you've been "supposedly" scammed beggars explanation and the only explanation that best suits is that this isn't a genuine newbie account. Two things are involved here – 1. It's either the OP just made up the story to court sympathy or 2, they're ashamed to post from their main account.

I mean, for crying out loud, how do you invest in something a random person online introduced to you without doing due diligence on it? With a simple click on search engine should give you an idea what that site is all about. Well, I know I sound harsh on this and that's because we've hammered severally on something like this here. Verify first before investing, always.
1174  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 22, 2023, 03:54:30 PM
Your friend did the right thing on second thought by selling his property. You can't have a disposable property and wait to suffer in abject poverty. However, I hope your friend didn't sell for some frivolous stuff. I won't sell my property for anything other than emergency or investment. If your friend sold so he could feed himself, he will still sell again to continue feeding. That shouldn't be a cogent reason.

On the other hand, it's a thing with me anyway, I never can bring myself to accept buying a friend's property off them when I know they're selling just to raise cash to make ends meet. If they're disposing the property to create more room in their space or replacing such with modern ones, I can buy. If they're disposing them because they want to move over to a different country I can buy. Other than that, I won't. But I can raise them some cash even if it's not all they're asking for as loan (which I won't be keen on asking them to refund me thereafter.) What are friends for.
1175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie - advice? on: July 22, 2023, 02:00:40 PM
I have been looking online for a book to buy to start things off does anyone have any recommendations?
www.babypips.com is a nice place to start the basics. It was part of the sites I slept on during my formative years in trading. I strongly recommend it. However, whether reading babypips, other resource materials or not; it still boils down to practicals. If you read all you want but don't demo trade or back test whatever information and strategies you've assimilated from books or sites it amounts to nothing. Practice is the main thing in trading. You need to burn the midnight oil doing that. Trading is a serious business career.

Again, once you think you've found your footing in demo trading and want to go live; learn Money Management (MM) and don't ever force trades. Let the trades come to you. If trades delay or don't come, act like nothing wrong happened. No one needs to be trade every day to be profitable.
1176  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 22, 2023, 12:15:39 PM
The same case scenario here in the Philippines before the amount of 20 USD is fair enough to sustain for almost five days for food, but right now half,f of it, even the 20 USD, just caters a daily survival only or even takes three days if you have an excellent proper management of money. People see that storing their funds in those banks or even cold cash as the best way to save is not the reality; inflation continuously increasing makes your money less valuable. Reason why good to have a good cashflow so you don't need to think that your money in the future makes a zero or even less value.
I guess it's a global thing. I even thought the OP was talking about the situation in Nigeria when I saw the thread, not knowing they were talking about Europe. The rate of inflation in Nigeria is double figure and it's hitting the citizens real hard. The country hasn't had it this bad until with the new administration in place. Prices of goods aren't predictable within 24hrs after knowing what prices were. They change on hourly basis so to say.

I guess it's about time people started saving their money in stable coins than in fiat, if they can't keep it in Bitcoin at a time like this.
1177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading and gambling on: July 22, 2023, 10:55:11 AM
In gambling, you simply lose your money if your prediction is wrong and you lose the bet, which is not the case in all types of trading because there are different types of trading, like spot trading, futures, margin trading, options, etc.
Now, that's a wrong conclusion you've there that people don't lose in some types of trading. That's not true. You lose in all, even in Spot trading. As conservative as we believe Spot trading is, one can also lose. What do you think bagholding is? If any coin/token one buys gets rugpull or worthless in the market, isn't that loss? Of course, it's.
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: July 21, 2023, 04:04:40 PM
Memecoins rely solely on speculation to remain on top positions in the market. With the exception of DOGE, every other memecoins have equal chances of doing good or bad. DOGE is the exception because it is a classic cryptocurrency which already existed a long time before this memecoin trend started, however it's also not a guarantee it will get more relevance in crypto market futurely. There is also the possibility it has already reached its roof.
To be honest with you, I try as much as I can not to look at Dogecoin as a memecoin. The dev may have created it as fun coin but it has utility. Payment with Doge is as fast as the speed of light. It's the fastest coin I've used for payment. Bitcoin isn't anywhere miles close to it. That's even besides Dogecoin's use in most casinos for gambling. When we talk of memecoins/tokens, we should be looking at worthless coins that merely thrive on hype and nothing else. Those ones are complete shitcoins.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32nd Binance Launchpad Project Arkham on: July 21, 2023, 02:43:31 PM
~

I was lucky to get in on it and ended up with some free money. Projects like Arkham are currently very low, but this project has potential to big later. This could be a fantastic chance to turn our small investment into a much bigger amount before the project getting into limelight.
I think it was more of free money for people than the actual sales on the launchpad as I read online of its airdrop. The airdrop was specifically for Binance users who had to apply by enlisting their emails and address on some private wallets like Metamask and TW.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This time for meme coin? on: July 21, 2023, 12:40:08 PM
~snipped~

Coin categories such as memcoins will always appear in huge quantities, regardless of the approaching halving, market trend, or the presence of any particular altcoin season or season of any particular coins. It's all about the very nature of memcoins.
Yes, I know memecoins are not stressful to create and push to the market. However, the point I made there is that there's often a mad demand for them during a bull season because of their cheap prices. Noob investors would mistake these low prices and their low market cap for an indication that there's more room for growth and then buy in. During bear season most investors are meticulous as they're disgruntled investing. Every cent counts during a bear season. Investors are more skeptical and careful during a bear season than they're during a bull season.
