1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice 101 on: September 08, 2021, 08:50:18 AM
I've seen people make massive profits with dice but the vast majority of people will end up losing. If you use automated dice rolling your entire bankroll can disappear in an instant. It's happened to me before when I thought I could use martingale to beat the house.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The nft trend should be adopted by old coins. on: September 08, 2021, 01:02:07 AM
I might be too complicated to add this to old coins. There are many doge themed NFTs but they are issued on other blockchains. I don't know how you would do NFTs on Dogecoin. They would need something like Counterparty but that would not be the most user friendly solution. Dogecoin is only intended to be used for basic transferring of their native coin. It would require completely redesigning their code to be able to implement this successfully.
1243  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Regulators Investigate Crypto-Exchange Developer Uniswap Labs on: September 08, 2021, 12:14:27 AM
Most, if not all, decentralized exchanges are not actually decentralized. There are companies and investors behind these exchanges and they have a lot of control over these protocols. Uniswap Labs was able to delist certain tokens from their platform and their code is under a Business Source License. There are too many centralized aspects that I felt it was inevitable for regulators to eventually come after them.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 07, 2021, 04:00:47 AM
Right, and now that he has Canelo's attention, it will be very bad for Caleb for bringing this as this is provoking Canelo. Alvarez has seen a lot and for sure he was not affected by it. And worst this can be his final motivation to really put a punishment on Caleb's big mouth. I'm seeing the best version of Canelo is this fight and I will not be surprised if the fight doesn't last a distance. So Caleb better be prepared now that he uses this strategy that will backfire on him.

Caleb has an enviable record in professional boxing until now (12 KOs out of his 21 wins, with no losses). But he has never faced an opponent of the caliber of Canelo. His last three opponents were Caleb Truax, Vincent Feigenbutz and Mike Lee (all three faced him for the IBF super middleweight title). These opponents can't even be compared to Canelo. And Caleb has again made some controversial statements. It is interesting that I haven't heard much from Canelo for the last few days. Caleb has been doing all the talk.

Plant is trying to sell the fight that is why he is trash talking. His fight with Canelo is going up against a stacked UFC card so they need all the hype they can get. Plant isn't really a household name so it will be harder to convince people to buy this fight instead of the UFC event.
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is a hardware wallet really worth it? on: September 07, 2021, 01:48:07 AM
It is totally worth it. I've had software wallets on devices that eventually stopped working. Luckily I haven't lost my backup phrase so I could always recover my funds on a different device but it is always a worry I have. With a hardware wallet there are still some risks but it is a specialized device that is resistant to issues like malware and other things that affect software wallets.
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's wrong with uniswap? on: September 07, 2021, 01:10:43 AM
The network has become unusable for small investors. Even for whales I imagine it has to be painful paying these exorbitant fees. With DEXs on other blockchains offering much higher APR and more features I wonder how long it will take before we see Uniswap start to lose it's dominance in the market in terms of TVL. PancakeSwap has already surpassed it in total users and it might just be a matter of time before we see a higher amount in locked value also.
1247  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is listed on CoinGecko|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🔔Polygon & XRP release on: September 05, 2021, 10:46:48 PM

Betfury has, together with another site, indeed the most options of coins to deposit/withdraw. Network selection (especially the BSC network) is a great addition to minimize fees for popular coins such as ETH or USDT.
Absolutely! At the site, I have been collecting daily dividend rewards staking my BFG tokens then withdraw it. The implementation of the BSC network on the site is indeed a great idea. BTC withdrawals now have network selection options, so users can withdraw with the minimum network fee using BSC. Withdrawals at BetFury are so relaxing now.
But always remember using the BSC network is very risky to those new on this. I don't know if that is okay if you will send a token from the BSC accidentally to your ERC20 wallet. Do you think it will still be recoverable? However, I like the idea of adding XRP recently. I guess there are more coins to come and to choose from in the future, this is not a bad thing at all. In the future, what possible coin that Betfury team will accept that also lower fees.
As they said, the more, the merrier.

If you own the private keys to an address on Binance Smart Chain then you will still have access to that address on other networks. It is quite common for people to store BSC, Polygon and ERC-20 tokens in the same Metamask wallet address. All you have to do is change the network you are interacting with.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Warrington vs Lara II -Sept 4 on: September 05, 2021, 04:36:58 AM
Lara already won the first fight decisively. A third fight is not really necessary at this moment. Lara will probably have to fight a mandatory sometime in the near future. If Warrington wants a rematch then he should work his way into becoming a mandatory challenger.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 04, 2021, 07:18:34 AM
Valdez will be on probation with the WBC but it still leaves a bad taste knowing there wasn't a stricter punishment. Now we are in a situation where they have to be consistent and some level of PED use will be tolerated if you can find a loophole in WADA's rules and cycle off before you are considered "in competition".
1250  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Crypto Casino with a built in MIXER and token bridges!!! on: September 04, 2021, 07:01:23 AM
Great question. There are many reasons to use 0xMR, first, the token supply is very limited. Most casinos use their own native token, which there are millions or billions of that they created out of thin air. By using 0xMR we let everyone have a fair shot at mining or buying mined 0xMR on the market to play with. If you read the 0xMR whitepaper you will see that it does have some privacy features but it's main usecase is casinos and payment for mixing. Monero has a lot of problems, especially since it's founder was arrested for fraud, and we don't want to risk adding a coin to the casino that will likely decrease significantly in value.

Fluffypony is not Monero's founder. Their creator is still anonymous. If Monero has a lot of problems then that would reflect negatively on 0xMonero because they copied the name name and logo.
1251  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Twitter seems likely to integrate tipping using Bitcoin. on: September 04, 2021, 01:54:12 AM
Strike only requires the receiver to be KYC'd but anybody can send them BTC from any wallet that supports Lightning Network. I don't know why it would be necessary for the sender to go through KYC. I don't want to have to be asked for ID when supporting a charity or even for personal transactions where I send money to friends. Bitcoin is designed to be permissionless so if they add all these requirements then it would be a huge disappointment and it will keep many people excluded from their payment platform.
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of trc20 tokens got flop or can't do well?? on: September 04, 2021, 01:37:44 AM
Stablecoins are still very popular on Tron and seem to make up much of the volume. Besides that I would agree that they have mostly flopped. BTT had a lot of hype but it seems most people have forgotten about it. Justin Sun's main focus seems to be elsewhere. Tron smart contracts are written in Solidity which is something that developers of other blockchains are familiar with but for whatever reason they are not able to attract many interesting projects to build on Tron.
1253  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Crypto Casino with a built in MIXER and token bridges!!! on: September 03, 2021, 03:23:58 AM
I don't know why anybody would want to use 0xmr. It is not a real privacy coin, it is just a standard ERC-20 token. Why not use actual Monero if you wanted to build a privacy oriented casino? Using this token will just burden users with unnecessary fees also. I guess people can use Bitcoin but the point of using altcoins is to avoid Bitcoin's fees so it just doesn't make any sense to be using 0xmr.
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT a Future of Crypto? on: September 03, 2021, 02:23:01 AM
I've been saying that NFTs are just a fad but currently we have seen them have tremendous value in the market. According to Chainalysis a majority of the volume is from institutional investors. People are in this to make a profit not because they appreciate art. It's great that artists are able to make money but I don't know if there is a level of interest for this to gain mainstream adoption.
1255  Other / Off-topic / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas Rematch discussion on: September 02, 2021, 06:59:05 PM
The PPV did not sell well. It reportedly had 250,000 buys. There is not much interest in seeing a rematch because there was a clear winner so the buys would be even worse if they had a second fight. Unless Pacquiao agrees to have a significantly reduced purse, I don't see them doing this fight again. The promoter will probably try to make Ugas vs. Spence next and then hopefully the winner of that fight will fight the winner of Crawford vs. Porter and we can have an undisputed champion.
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Difference Between Farming & Staking? on: September 02, 2021, 04:32:00 AM
I always have thought of it as the same, so I did a quick Google on this to find out the differences in general. We are comparing Yield Farming to Staking.

- Yield farming or liquidity mining, you temporarily lend crypto assets in a permissionless way.
- Staking is you lock up assets and act as a node, and there you confirm blocks in the blockchain.

Yield farming has higher risks but has bigger APY, while Staking has lower APY and has lock time.

I guess that's where you can compare the two. For a better investment, it depends on the money you are going to use. Is it going to be set aside and not needed right away? Or something that you need to liquidate right away? I think that's the better question.

You're describing proof of stake but there is also a different kind of staking. You can stake coins by locking them in a smart contract. For example Pancakeswap has Syrup Pools where you stake CAKE and earn more CAKE or other coins. The benefit of staking is that there is no risk of impermanent loss but your returns will diminish over time. Other decentralized exchanges have their own equivalent to syrup pools.
1257  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥NEW game CRYPTOS release 🔥 |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| 📈HotBit listing on: September 02, 2021, 03:37:37 AM
to be honest, we're not happy for issues with this captcha too. We are looking for the best option. But the best option is to do it yourself. I forward your comment to the development department

There is another casino that uses hCaptcha and it is not so difficult to solve because they upgraded to the enterprise version. It usually only takes me one click to pass the test and claim my reward.
1258  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can a transaction be bigger than a block. on: September 01, 2021, 10:38:27 PM
You could create a transaction that is bigger but it would be rejected by nodes and never even end up in the mempool. If somebody tried to mine it their block would be invalid and they would end up forking themselves off the network.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: September 01, 2021, 06:00:55 AM
Jake Paul is now claiming that he is retired from boxing. I'm not sure I take him seriously but if he is telling the truth then I hope this is the last we will see of these freak show fights. He has made more than enough money to retire comfortably and now he can focus on more serious business endeavors.

Hehehe this only implies that his talent fee is going up. He is a promoter’s dream and he has potential challengers who are retired MMA fighters or retired athletes from other sports who have a name but in need of money. Tyron an Ben were 2 of them. Also include the retired basketball player hehe.

He already announced today that he is coming out of retirement. So it was all just a publicity stunt and the circus will continue. Your probably right about what type of opponent he is seeking for his next fight. After almost getting dropped by Woodley there is no chance he fights a real boxer unless it's somebody as inexperienced like Tommy Fury.

It's been 2 days after the fight so I will close the thread and someone can open a new one when the next opponent is determined.

P/S: It's not Photoshopped btw.

Promise is a promise right, I guess you have to win something now though it might be just 1 sat.    I dont see that particular banner but the normal show for my number of weekly lottery tickets is showing me the usual zero point very lows odds as expected because I dont have that many.

This is from the promotional email. I received it also and it said my odds are 99.99940951% for the lottery and my odds for winning the lambo are 0.11111111% with only 1 ticket.
