1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only 89 days left for Litecoin Halving event! on: December 15, 2023, 09:52:02 PM
that is enough time to taste what Litecoin can really bring to the supporters , but what I
am desperate to see is that Halving of Litecoin should be bringing at least quaking the value of this coin
for investors of this coin , Actually i also hold this coin back in 2017 but leave when 2018 bull ends because
I know that there are coming bad for the following months and years.
With all of the halvings that happened to Litecoin, the most recent and the past one with that didn't have much effect. That's why when there are news about Litecoin halving, it doesn't do much anymore to impact the price. While it is believed that there should be one but it's different on this manner because the market variations are changing and Litecoin is no longer one of the altcoins that we used to say as the best. To me, it's still one of the best if for alternate transfers for its features.
1302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 15, 2023, 09:22:32 PM
Does he have leads on who's the potential culprit with the said hack? if it's a direct access then that only means that there's someone from his home that have done it.
There are no assumptions. Direct interference is almost 100% excluded: no one had access to his PC and there are no people around him who understand cryptocurrencies. The only thing I can assume is that the seed phrase was stolen during the installation of the wallet by some type of Trojan or the version of the wallet was compromised. Plus he used a Mac.
Whether someone uses mac or windows or linux, if the person have fallen to the phishing links or forms then the seed probably have been taken and compromised and the hacker just waited for it to get funded and always checks it from time to time. What an unfortunate scene for the guy, I just hope that he'll recover from this incident and won't make him quit the market because that frustration will make someone quit if it's a lot of money that's been hacked or even the hack itself alone.
1303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi i do Challenge to start from today with capital 3$ trading on: December 15, 2023, 08:55:43 PM
Hi, i do trading with capital 3$ spot trading no leverage.
Im using poloniex for this
I have experince over 10 years not actively traded all those years.
Going to be interesting
I want to see how i will do it in one week 2weeks and month and so after few months.
I Im in ADA now with 1$ of my capital 3$

I have STARTED now today - anyone knows how to get my poloniex PNL ? So i can show here my PNL
Will the orders even allow you to place an order with $3 as your capital? Binance says $10 for the minimum amount and let's say that poloniex allows that.
What's going to be your profit with that? I know that everyone can start as little as they can be but this challenge is so hard at all to pass. But if this is just for the sake of content and satisfaction then, I'd wish you nothing but good luck with this because even I do this as a challenge, I think that I won't make it far.

Of course, if the amount is small, the profit that can be obtained with 3 dollars is also small, but I just found out that it is really possible to trade worth 3 dollars on Poloniex. I don't seem to know of an exchange that allows a trader to trade below $5.

Then on Poloniex, that used to be a well-known exchange and was on the top list way back in 2016–2017 because I used to use that too. But I was stuck there for a long time because I didn't have any assets there.
I've known poloniex but didn't used them for a very long time. If it's allowed to trade there as low as $3 then good luck to OP and his plan. The expectation won't be that much then for this challenge that he's going to do and if he finds success in expanding and growing that capital of his, he might be considered as a great trader based on how he'd end up here. But as I have said about not expecting a lot, I just think of it that he's going to get liquidated with that very small amount through fees.
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craze for Meme coins never ends? on: December 15, 2023, 08:18:30 PM
DR; That can be a made-up story to get more attention to that meme coin. But I also know stories like that are the same in the past that are genuine. I have no guts unlike this guy to invest $1k in meme coins. He probably has this money as spare and willing to lose. Who's going to invest in unknown meme coins? Well, anyway this season is like whatever you buy seems goin' to make you money even with random meme coins. Still, I'd play safe and won't do this.

just what i thought too. the marketing never ends in just launching a memecoin but having made up stories that made some random investor make $100K out of $1k could mke someone also dream of it. the new memecoins are the last thing i would get into but would rather be gambling on the old ones that have already tested the bull and bear season.

i made a good profit as well with doge but at least this memecoin is very much known to every crypto user, unlike that WFT memecoin that even SOL holders are unaware of it. BONK is more popular and holders are even taking profit already.
This is the other way of marketing although this is no longer new to the scene but many projects are attracting ignorant people about this. They'll make good story that they've bought it too early and now they've earned thousands, hundred thousands and millions. It's funny when you understand it although some fact may be on it but in general, this is nothing new and everything is all about hyping the project itself and that's why if you're going to be dependent on these news and experiences, you need to be careful.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How exactly do you find new tokens before they blow up. on: December 15, 2023, 07:58:53 PM
Honestly, it's all about luck. Like what's happening now, many say that SOL tokens are going to be the good ones and that's why they're going to end up with some good gains because Solana is also pumping and gaining traction. But in reality, no one really knows what will be the next new projects that are going to gain those gains because we don't hold the market. And those that have good developers don't also guarantee the success of projects and that's why you just keep on DYORing if you're into it.
There are many features we can look out for to know the projects that are reliable and the ones that don't worth it. Good projects can be sometimes difficult to know so we need to keep checking the mark for reliable projects that would give us huge profits from the market.
When looking for crypto projects to invest in, we need to look at the ability of the team to do marketing and keep promoting the projects so that other investors can join the project and send the price to the moon. This is why we do see projects going up and doing well after launch.
There are but it's going to take you time and even if you apply and try to find those features, you are still unsure if a project is going to be worth it to invest. That's why in all of it, there's no way to determine if a project is going to blow up because they're all random. Maybe a sign is that when you see some good gains for this day and it's gaining a lot from its market cap and from there, you can start speculating and analyzing if they're going to blow or not.

Exactly what I see here mate, because random people claim to be earning this and that but
ended nothing but a made up stories, how many of this have we seen over the years even in ICO/IEO times
this is happening , this is also the reason why I never trust any Memecoins now aside from Dogecoin and
Shiba-Inu that i have vested recently but take out my coins now.
Not just one time I've seen something like this but a lot of times. They claim that they are early investors but what seems to be unbelievable is that, with great amount, knowing that these are shitcoins and meme coins, do they really think that with such amount people are going to invest randomly on them? Anyway, they really are risk takers if they are this type of investor that looks into these projects and invests a lot of money that can multiple a lot.
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How exactly do you find new tokens before they blow up. on: December 15, 2023, 06:58:28 PM
This question is to help guide newbies on how to spot new gems themselves.
I believe the best way for people with small liquidity to make good money from the bull market is to invest in small cap projects before they get big.

I’ve always asked gurus( that post is 100X and ask you to join their private telegram) this question but none of them ever give a detailed answer. All they say is DYOR, I mean I’m asking because I want to know how exactly to do my research. Can anyone give a detailed explanation on how to find new projects as they are launching before they gain attention.

1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Shuts down their Visa Debit Cards in Europe on: December 14, 2023, 11:18:24 PM

Yes, that doesn't exempt the others from the compliance that the regulators might ask them. While there can be a lot of these advisories that are going to come in the bull run. As of now, that's all what they need to make based on the situation that Binance is dealing with them.
Well then, we're going to see if something different might come then after they're done with Binance. All the compliance were done, each country has their own rule towards them, so that's it.

If we look at the past and take the case of the SEC, they always chased those who were not "compliant" or when they found some loophole concerning the imperfect cryptocurrency regulation. Take the example of Bittrex or LBRY, they do get charged by them. Furthermore, yes, I am also aware when it comes to bull run, many eyes will be looking into the space, so the regulation pressures will likely increase.

As the cryptocurrency ecosystem becomes more mature, a strict or firm policy will be directed toward this space. There is a lot of interest and motive from authority to control this space.
That's true and that's why we might find them everywhere regulating and I think it's as early as last year when we've heard the pressure to Binance on their US resident users and then it something like this. And I guess that most countries are going to follow steps that have been taken by the US for each and following countries that has also SEC on their government agencies.

1311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 14, 2023, 07:26:44 PM
We've got projects already that dealt with privacy, Monero is one and the government can't even stand with it because of what it offers so they're pressuring exchanges to delist it. How about ETFs? like just applications and no need for them for any approval and it's just all about hype.
There's already an ETF application for Ethereum and that's what these institutions want for it. They only just want to file and see how the market reacts.
Yes, Monero is a great example in terms of confidentiality of transactions. My friend mined Monero two years ago and transferred it from the pool to his wallet. The wallet is not active (it was created on a local PC only for withdrawing coins from the exchange, the seed phrase was stored separately). A couple of months ago, when he wanted to sell his coins, he discovered that his wallet was empty. Someone a year and a half ago simply stole all the coins in one transaction. At about 3 am, i.e. direct access to the PC is excluded and at that time he himself could not withdraw the coins and forget.
Does he have leads on who's the potential culprit with the said hack? if it's a direct access then that only means that there's someone from his home that have done it.

And the coins cannot be tracked  Wink
That's what monero and its privacy is what for. There's no way to track the transfers that you've done there and that's why the government is even afraid of it and they implement delistings from exchanges for it.
1312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 14, 2023, 06:37:18 PM
From memecoins to nft's etc what do you think will be the next hype of 2024 or 2025? I personally think of real utility and true privacy. I think CBDC's and constant blockchain tracking will scare a lot of people and they will want true privacy something that monero can bring. Privacy by default is what will be highly desired and needed in the coming future as it will be highly beneficial. Nobody wants to be tracked 24/7 of everything they do.

What do you think?

1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: December 13, 2023, 10:34:01 PM
Trading requires skill trading is easy if you have good experience.
I won't call trading an easy thing even if I'm an experienced trader. Even the best traders are still struggling to maintain their positions in the market that's why it is no chill. While there can be moments that they're chill and thrilled regardless of that, it's still not an easy thing to do.

You can buy and hold any cryptocurrency of your choice like bitcoin ethereum etc. This is the advantage of holding which you can easily profit by selling again when the price rises.
This is what easy is, holding. The best strategy whether you hold bitcoin or altcoins, if you're going to hold it then it's so much better.
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: December 13, 2023, 09:51:41 PM
I think it is realistic to choose Ethereum as an investment because, up to now, Ethereum is still the best altcoin and is only below Bitcoin. The reputation it carries is beyond doubt. Even though many altcoins are growing and there are many alternatives available, of course Ethereum is still a rational choice to continue to hold as a very promising investment in the future. For those who are too lazy to do analysis, of course it is a natural thing to choose Ethereum, but I also feel that there are still altcoins that are also good; although not better
You are in the right thing if you're going to choose Ethereum over any other altcoins as an investment. There is no debate with that as Ethereum have proven its usefulness not just on its own network/chain but also to the other projects where it all started.

BNB is one that is really worth considering because it always gives surprises when it reaches its peak.
And like BNB, it came from the smart contract of Ethereum before and then launched its own mainnet. It cannot be denied that the contribution of Ethereum to their success is there.
1315  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 13, 2023, 09:08:14 PM
So Im still surprised If anyone still use Banks they are old
Are you sure with what you're saying that you're surprised if someone still using it? They're old? I don't think that because they're old or what, they shouldn't be used anymore. I am not promoting to use of them but let's go to the reality that there are several banks left and right in most countries. Even in the US, banks are there and likely being hated because of the interest rates they give to the lenders. Ask your relatives, aside from your family if they're still using one because banks are no longer young.
1316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wojak - Meme Coin on: December 13, 2023, 08:38:53 PM
Marketcap: 19 Mio $
What does even 19 mio $ mean? I bet you talk about $19M but it's down to $18M as I have checked this coin. This coin is still young and if it's a meme coin that has already a lot of market cap then good luck to all of you folks who have this. You'll never know if it's going to be back with that top line on the chart because for me, it's going to take time or maybe in the bull until you can make money from it. Surprisingly, there are a lot of exchanges where it is listed.

1317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: December 13, 2023, 08:03:57 PM
As for LTC, it's entirely different after all of those years when Lee has quit as the main guy of this project. How many years was it already? 6-7 years has passed and LTC has never been the same.

He's still the main guy, just not that much showing his face of the public. There are YT videos were he debates LTC with others.
Latest is this one I think:

 https://youtu.be/ygCiU-ZSs3k?si=tCZI2rZkPQza3xn-

The marketing of LTC is non existing. And now it comes they do have a marketing department. What they do? I fear no one knows.
Litecoin being on Paypal is a huge plus though.
He is? I thought that he has quit his position but yes, even if he has already quit. No doubt that he's still the main guy. And with the news[1] years ago, that's why I felt like it was an abandoned project and the community is the one that sets for running it and that's why it's still there.

1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: December 13, 2023, 01:52:34 PM

Because if just because of the Updates we will trust this coin , then why not happened back in 2018  Grin

You can not seriously compare 2018 to 2023 in Crypto. Or 2010 to 2018 for that matter.
Every situation is quite different. The userbase of crypto has risen, due to 25000 new "opportunities"
Some have turned maxis even.
That's right, every cycle is different and we just can't compare what's in the past and what will be likely to happen for the upcoming year. But we get the pattern and understand that there's a possibility that something might be the same to come. As for LTC, it's entirely different after all of those years when Lee has quit as the main guy of this project. How many years was it already? 6-7 years has passed and LTC has never been the same.
1319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of NFTs have a market cap of zero on: December 13, 2023, 12:20:42 PM
Will this change when the bull run comes? Seems that the altcoins market is ripening and rich again but I don't know what's with the NFT scene if they're flourishing and going back to what they used to be. If there's no movement at all even in the bull run and that 95% remains the same for the majority of the NFTs then, it just means that there is no hope anymore from them and they're likely dead at all as people look forward for another place to invest into this market aside from btc and alts.
1320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: December 12, 2023, 11:50:46 PM
if they are influencers who shill coins, they are always biased with what they are saying.

but its not so bad following those channels that provide news about what is going on in crypto space like the channel of Paul Barron or George. i have been listening to them for some time and there are news that i only heard from them which is not posted in this forum. ETF updates and SEC regulations are always the news that i always want to be updated that's why i'm following those channels.
Not bad to follow good channels that are providing news and articles that they've read. But it can't be avoided that there will be time that they're going to shill projects. So watch them out when the bull run comes because a lot of projects will use these influencers as their channels for advertisement and shilling. This is a common trade for the crypto influencers as they get paid to have their insights making it look a genuine reaction but it's all paid and shill.
