1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and ETH on their 2 years high on: August 23, 2020, 11:12:05 PM
There will still be bullish ahead but always see to it that you're prepared for the corrections.

Get yourself a pretty decent position every time you get to see the correction. There will be times like this and you won't have any problem when it corrects because you are stacking up when we hit on that part.

We are very near to the end of this year and 2021 is what I see to be the promising year of the bulls.

And when it comes to btc and eth, they deserve to increase its value in the market. Definitely, this current market performance has long been overdue I'd say. As a crypto user, I trust these 2 cryptocurrencies because they are not like those pumpndump coins, or other alts which are created to make the devs' pockets fat. They have actual usage in this crypto community.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: August 23, 2020, 10:21:38 PM
This is real in crypto, we know that today many people who don't have the skills and abilities but just want to get their money are willing to deceive many people. This leaves a lot of people both defeated and gullible because scammers usually have big promises for their bullshit projects, so anything has to be done with smart work and hard work.

And that because a lot of people are falling from their trap because of greed. They thought they will gonna get those rewards or bonuses but the thing is, most scammers will not give you anything but will rekt you with everything you have. Phishing sites, high ROIs, overwhelming bonuses and more. If the offer is too-good-to-be-true, doubt its authenticity. Don't let yourself easily give in with those sweet words. Do your own research and remember to inform others if you found fraudulent activities.
1443  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What are the risks of mobile wallets? on: August 23, 2020, 12:47:33 PM
1. the most obvious one, It's very easy to lose a mobile device since you move with it everywhere.

Solutions
- Always encrypt your device and all the wallets with very strong pins, passwords or Pass phrases
- Always backup your private keys and seed phrases and keep the safely in a secret place

2. High chances of downloading malware especially if the device is used to access internet all the time. This problem is so common with android devices.

Solutions
- Keep your device's OS always up to date in case of any exploits
- Avoid downloading unnecessary apps which could contain malware. Always download only official apps
- Avoid rooting the phone (common with Android OS)

I believe that's my main issue when it comes to using mobile wallets. Aside from being stolen, the case of getting it crushed or damaged is high. So if you want to use mobile wallets for convenience purposes, you really need to do the above solutions mentioned by logfiles. Because ask yourself, how many phones have passed on your hands? So the phone where you want to install your mobile wallet definitely will not be your last and forever one.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin on: August 22, 2020, 11:25:38 PM
@Baofeng, did you saw that? OMG, what a shot by Povetkin. I thought Whyte already have the fight as he knocked down Povetkin with that left hook late in the fourth round but what a shot by Sasha in the fifth round. Whyte still unconscious as i write this post.

Lost my bet but no regrets.

F**k man, yeah I thought that my prediction is right, left hook win for Whyte under 6. But damn, that was one hell of an upper cut from Povetkin. I also lost my bets, it was really an upset. But we can't do anything about it. And with this win, it changes the landscape of the heavyweight division. Povetkin inserting his name and will probably face any of the big 3 in the future.

I am assuming a lot of people here lost because most of them are rooting for Whyte. Seems that Povetkin really did prepare for this fight. This will open more doors for Povetkin. With regards to Whyte, this fight gave him the second loss of his entire career. Is he going to ask for another round?
1445  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Pay Could ‘Destroy the Financial System’ on: August 22, 2020, 10:23:17 PM
Well, so far most people only think about price volatility that makes it difficult for cryptocurrency to be used as a means of payment in the world, while the main problem of many countries is about worry about the collapse of the country's financial system. So in this case at least this cryptocurrency will indeed continue to get opposition from every existing institution, but when they can still accept crypto and legalize it as an investment asset, I think that's good enough because it will at least grow the market bigger.

If there will be a lot of shops or merchants having crypto as part of their payment method, I don't think users will think of the volatility issue. If it is already in front of them, they will use it for convenience purposes. And owed to this pandemic, I am guessing a lot of merchants are thinking of adding crypto in their payment system to lessen contact from fiat money owed to this virus. But right now, I don't think crypto pay could destroy the financial system, it is too early to have such effect.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] ANN Zensports Peer-to-Peer Sports Betting on: August 22, 2020, 04:22:45 AM
Wow, after almost 2 years this project becomes alive again in this forum. Is that because of their current sig campaign? The devs should really come to this thread and update the community about their current progress and it seems that their sportsbetting site is already fully operational. Just right timing that sports events are coming live again.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Governments cannot control Bitcoin on: August 21, 2020, 11:59:41 PM
The governments can't control Bitcoin because it is decentralized. It wasn't made in favour of a centralized system where one person or authority can have full power and control over its transaction. The farthest the governments can go is to impose regulations on Bitcoin transactions especially on the exchange sites.

Your first line of thought or statement is the perfect answer why government can't control Bitcoin; decentralization is the main reason which has lead to the high trust found in Bitcoin. But as for other altcoins, or maybe a good number of them, they can be easily controlled because even the team cares for themselves first. Also, although there many altcoins which claims to be decentralized, however it is important to know that only few are actually decentralized or somewhat decentralized, while others are just hiding under the claims of decentralization just to exist and keep working.

This is actually the main reason why some governments are still banning the use of bitcoin because they don't know how to get ahold of it. Some are treating this as a competitor of their traditional method like the banking transactions. But since they can't fully control the usage of it, it is better to just regulate the use of crypto rather than totally banning all crypto activities. In that way, they can implement regulations on local businesses dealing with crypto such as local exchanges or remittances.
1448  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance trading bots are garbage on: August 21, 2020, 11:26:19 PM
Just reading first and last page and I think we're confusing bots with strategies here. Bots = a script that automates trading, triggering order events and closing positions or opening new ones according to instructions pre-determined by the user.

So a bad bot is just one that doesn't follow instructions properly, a good one does so quickly and accurately -- coding is what sets bots apart.

Profit relies not on the bot but on the strategy (or if you're me, dumb luck).
People havent realize this one and you are perfectly right on what you had said where there's a confusion on whats a bot all about.Majority do believe that this one can really make money
but as said these are just scripts that automate trading that had been set up by the user itself. It do indeed matter with coding and thats why we do able to see lots of bots in the market
with specific kind of strategy based up on market movements. Its a garbage? then its not that something new because not all the these times these bots will really be profitable.

And Binance has nothing to do with the performance of your trading bot. It is up to the trader what kind of performance he will get from his trading bot. I don't know if the OP is just ignorant or just trash talking binance? Because users here are not dumb to just believe what has been said by anyone without basis. Yes, a lot of these users thought that trading bots will make them instant rich without effort and skills applied.
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🦆[ANN][GSCN]Goosecoin POW/POS 🦆 on: August 21, 2020, 11:09:06 PM
Aside from the generic items listed in your roadmap like the exchange listing, bounties, advertising, listing in ranking websites, wallets - what is really the purpose of this coin? Seems that this is just another alt addition that will be forgotten very soon. Because without use case, the fate will be the same like hundreds of alts that were already abandoned.
1450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank cards with hot wallets safety on: August 21, 2020, 10:25:23 PM
I have to agree with @ranochigo - hot wallets are as safe as you make them be. But knowing that so many people don't have much security knowledge, hardware wallets are usually more advisable for the average person.

If by "bank cards with hot wallets" you are referring to crypto cards like Wirex (not sure if this one still exists), it's way less safer imo than having a wallet that is non custodial, one for which you make your own rules. Storing your money on custodial wallets means holding your money in someone else's pockets. As I mentioned yesterday in another post of mine, I would not advise linking your Bitcoins with banks in any way.

I agree with this. If you don't have the keys for your wallet, take it as somebody is holding your funds. You have no total control for what may happen. What if one day, the team decided to disappear or someone hacked from their system, what do you think is the chance that you can recover your funds? So better to have your own wallet that you can control like hardware wallet.
1451  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Bit-Share.uk Ponzi Scheme on: August 20, 2020, 11:52:00 PM
I think they have the same ponzi scheme here. Scammers are on the loose, trying their best to rekt naive users with their too-good-to-be-true ROIs. I hope users are now smarter than ever and not fall from this scheme.

1452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: btc sent to wrong address on: August 20, 2020, 11:04:18 PM
I don't know who'd remember that site but if you don't have a private key it looks like a faucet hub type site (which may itself be gone) then it's going to be quite unlikely your funds are recovered. This is one of the problems with bitcoin imo at its current state, there are no inheritance schemes in place.

I'm sorry to say this to OP, but recovering his btc will not be possible in this case. For one, the site has long been gone. And the wallet is owned by paytoshi so I don't think the OP will have the wallet.dat file for that. This is the reason why we always not double check but triple check the address where we are sending our btc. Because most of the time, it is not recoverable especially if you don't have the control of the address where you are sending it to. 0.089BTC is quite big amount of money. But I don't think there is a solution to his problem.
1453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to set the transaction fee rate for your exchange? on: August 20, 2020, 10:20:32 PM
For me personally, i think there is little that can be done by the exchange platform user about the exchange rate. Binance and every other exchange sets their withdrawal charges to ensure they are always in the profit line. It is up to users to choose the best and most convenient platform to trade efficiently.

Because most exchanges have their fixed rates like in withdrawal fees, as a trader, you can't do much about it. The only thing you can do is compare it with other exchanges and choose which one will work for you. However, trading is not only about the withdrawal fees that you will incur but the liquidity of the exchange and the availability of the trading pair that you are interested with. So sometimes you have no choice but use a specific exchange for the coin you have.
1454  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India considers another widespread ban on Bitcoin on: August 20, 2020, 09:00:10 PM
Seeing how they handled the demonetization back in 2016, I'm not that surprised that heavy-handed measures are still being proposed there. Imagine how it could affect the price if Indian lawmakers actually managed to pull this off.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Indian_banknote_demonetisation
I read a blog where they mentioned that India is going back to their 70's in terms of the economy especially after the covid 19, and a fun meme I watched on the internet when a journalist asked a minister how they are going to tackle the high unemployment rate in their country then his reply was you can own a street food shop to make income this show how much they care about their people actually. Cheesy

Totally banning of crypto of course is not favourable to their citizens who are crypto users. In this forum alone, we know there are a lot of Indians and some of them are relying their income on what they are getting from bounties/sig campaigns that this forum offers. And since we are still in pandemic, their government should not be so hard on implementing the total ban on bitcoin. They are just making their citizens' life miserable.

1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree with the experts? on: August 19, 2020, 01:17:35 AM
even though the corona pandemic can shake the global economy, the crypto world still continues to survive even recently showing an increase. that is because the resilience and confidence of investors are still high. hopefully crypto can recover the global economy which can be said to be getting worse.

Though I don't think crypto can recover the global economy but I do think that crypto right now is helping a lot of people to survive during this pandemic. And as we have seen, the crypto market survives and btc is increasing since last month.

I always follow forecasts and comments, experts in social media and forums, but I always try to filter the news because not all of their opinions are correct, Corona has influenced the global economy, many people from developing countries experience economic difficulties while staying at home (lockdown), many people looking for alternatives with additional income, one of them with crypto. since the beginning of March the Bitcoin wallet has increased in number, and the demand has increased and the price has gone up and yesterday it reached $ 12 thousand, although now it has dropped again but many predict Bitcoin will be $ 15 thousand by the end of September.

It is good to read different perspectives from various personalities. Somehow you can gain good insights but you are right, we need to filter these things as not all opinions have solid basis.
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why You Think That Your Coin/Token Will Grow? on: August 18, 2020, 09:44:43 AM
Many Crypto lovers believe that Altcoin season will coming, so they keep holding some tokens / coins in their wallets. I personally also still hold some tokens / coins on my wallet, I am sure that at the end of 2021 Crypto prices will be same as in 2017. So prepare your assets now.

The growth of an altcoin depends on the dev team managing it. Because if they don't have goals for the project and no developments going on, I don't think it is smart to hold them. You will know if they have active development if there is improvement with their network or real updates not only talk.

But they are not so active here in the forum. Are they confident enough that they will attract clients without putting much effort on the forum?
Or maybe because of their partnerships and backings, they feel that they can successfully implement this project.
Anyway, since DeFis are sprouting like mushrooms, I hope they have chosen the right DeFi partner for this, which is Kava.

Maybe there has a reason the team is not active in this forum but you can ask in official group telegram when you have question I think the team still constrains and still busy on the platform they are working on lets stay and follow to the progress of Injective Protocol.

As a new project, they should give attention also to this crypto community as this is one of the biggest crypto community out there. Anyway, they have their own reasons and I feel that they have their own things going on.
1459  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ Bet online ᐉ BTC Betting ᐉ Online betting odds on: August 15, 2020, 01:43:48 AM

Indeed nice movement to promote your betting site. Do you have any plan to launch social media campaign as well, it’s good to get more engagement. Wish you good luck for your project.
They just open a previous campaign the other day and I just late to know they have open scam accusations that did not resolve yet. When they plan to open a social media campaign for sure a lot of users will be the victim of this betting site. This betting site needs to resolve their previous accusations first prior to start again here in the forum. If you are aware of such accusations better not to join them this just looks like another try to scam the players or gamblers.
Even if they are serious this time since its a new management but it cant really be avoided for the public to have those bad impressions. It will surely affect their profit since people will really be hesitated to bet on the site
and since this had been known by majority then those new people will able to read up users experience and feedbacks towards this site.On a new management they should really resolved the issues as soon as possible.
All marketing programs will really be useless and wont be effective no matter how hard they do try as long it hadnt been resolved yet.

The question is - are they willing to address the past issues of this site or just continue their business? Anyway, I guess they are doing good even without the forum's players. But if you are a user who search first for the background of the casino, you will encounter some not so good feedback. So it is the player's loss if he will not do his own due diligence before playing on their site. But awaiting what will be the official statement from 1xbit regarding these issues.
1460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is This Site Legit? on: August 13, 2020, 10:18:27 PM
1xBit has numerous scam accusations on them. I don't know if they are a legit casino or not but they indeed push some heavy promotions all over the internet. They wanted to start a sig camp here too.

And their sigcamp was halted fast because of the negative trust given to them. Just like P2PB2B here, they didn't manage to run their campaign because of the negative trust and unresolved issues. So I can say 1xbit should not be in the list because of existing allegations that are not yet resolved. Don't trust review sites, mainly, they want to earn from their referral commission.
