1581  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Havelock Investments - Exchange feedback/comments on: May 08, 2013, 09:17:02 PM
TAT Investments is happy to announce that ASICMINER shares are finally available within the Havelock Investments website!

Shares will be released in small waves at https://www.havelockinvestments.com/order.php?symbol=ASICM at fixed prices, so if you see them sold out for some reason, just wait a little bit and I'll post more.

------

ASICM represents a passthrough asset of fractional shares of the ASICMINER Mining Company. ASICMINER is a market leader in the bitcoin mining industry, creating various mining equipment for sale, as well as running their own mining farm.

Proceeds from ASICMINER mining farm and from the sale of equipment are distributed to shareholders as weekly dividends. This asset represents fractional passthrough shares of the underlying asset, receiving a proportional amount of dividends for each share.

Quote

ASICM, an ASICMINER Fractional Passthru managed by TAT Investments

Each 1 share of ASICM represents 1/100th of a share of ASICMINER maintained and verified by either Friedcat or any officially designated exchange, and has rights to 1/100th of the dividends of a whole ASICMINER share.

This is asset is being offered for the following purposes:
1. To provide an additional venue for investors to buy or sell ASICMINER shares more easily by splitting the shares.
2. To provide an easy way for ASICMINER shareholders to reinvest their dividends to maximize compounded interest opportunities.
3. To consolidate enough ASICMINER shares so as to reach 5,000 whole shares, thus increasing their inherent value with potential access to ASICMINER’s established and future board member benefits, namely any hardware opportunities ASICMINER provides exclusively to board members.

The site will sometimes hang if someone is filling an order at the same time that you are refreshing or also instigating an order somehow.

If it hangs, simply wait a sec and refresh, then it will load quickly.

This thread is going a little off the rails. No one here should be making claims about the psychology of child rearing. Pun intended.

I like this idea!

@ThickAsThieves

I wish you good luck and good health!

BUT:
What if you got hit by bus? Is there anyone available to use your account and your private keys?

Where are you from?

Thanks Maciek!

You will see in our contract that I have designated someone trusted by me to take over the asset if something happens to me. I am in weekly contact with this person, and if something happens to me, they will get login info from a family member to take over (hopefully this is never needed, and if so, it is temporary!)

Regarding my location, I'd prefer not to publicize that in order to prevent social engineering, etc, but you can contact me privately if you have specific questions which I can try to answer if relevant and necessary.

FYI - I like how these guys implemented semi-accountless rolling: www.coinroll.it

Not sure if it poses security or customer service issues, but it sure makes losing my money easy Smiley
1586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: May 08, 2013, 05:55:59 PM
question for one and all.

based upon history of btc vs $USD (@gox) ... what is the largest swing in the following periods:

1 minute
5 minutes
15 minutes
30 minutes
60 minutes
120 minutes
180 minutes

anyone?

You can gather this info yourself by looking at the historical charts. Don't be lazy. Tongue

I think you're underestimating the problem.

EDIT: a naive sql query on the trades table runs way too long. I could do it another way though, would take roughly 2 hours. So if the info is important enough for you, Viceroy, you can try to bribe me Wink

Just use the CSV and Ruby or Perl to parse the data.

Accessing and working with the data is not the problem: Unless he meant "timeframes" instead of "periods" you need to consider every possible pair of trades with times of execution no further than 60 seconds apart (could also be 2 seconds). You can't just use min/max (or even average or last price) values of some "minute bins" and look for the highest delta between 2 consecutive ones. The way I'd implement it would be to have a sliding window cointaining all trades from time t to time t-60s tracking min/max of the trades and then move it through the data (by moving t to the next trade and adding it to the list of the trades in the frame, then checking wether the oldest trade in the frame has time < t-60s and remove it if that's the case. keep trades in the frame in a list ordered by price so "max" can be adjusted in case the removed trade is the one with the highest price).

If that sounds too complicated to you, please share your simpler solution.

I have a easier solution: Don't waste your time trying to parse useless info.   Cool

I bought one AM-PT share last week. Dividends come out today right? But when I check my BTC-TC account, I didn't see any dividends received?

Some of the passthrus have not issued dividends yet. You'll get them sometime in the next 24 hours most likely.

Minimum quantities have been updated.
1589  Economy / Securities / Re: [NOW LIVE!] [BTC-TC] TAT.ASICMINER New Micro-share Passthrough! on: May 08, 2013, 04:07:28 PM
Guys pay attention to the fact that buying from this fractional PT is actually more profitable than buying whole shares if you considered the trade rates!

Come on TAT add a lockout section I want to withdraw shares  Cry (In the future not now ofc)

There are no plans to allow share withdrawals in the near future. However, this MIGHT change at some point. If this feature is added, it will have minimum amounts and a withdrawal fee though.

The goal here is to get to 5000 total shares, and to provide a service. Keep in mind that share transfers are quite a burden of time on Friedcat and the exchange PT operators.

You would be amazed at how much time I've put into this asset so far. I know it seems easy, but it really does take up time.

Fastest div payout in the West.

Actually, even faster than Friedcat, since confirms weren't at 6 yet Wink

TAT.ASICMINER Dividends have been paid at 0.00010531 per share.

Thanks!

@ThickAsThieves, Do you have a way to withdraw shares into real ASICMINER shares?

Not at this time, but you can indirectly do this by selling your shares and buying whole shares anywhere you like with the BTC.

There are a few reasons it is set up is this way, including maintaining the health of the preexisting PTs, and preventing a ridiculous amount of share transfer work for Friedcat and all of the PT operators.
1593  Economy / Securities / Re: [HOWTO] Trading/Buying/Selling Asicminer Shares Overview and Comparison on: May 08, 2013, 10:52:33 AM
Could you add my passthroughs to this thread?

You can get fractional shares now:
https://bitfunder.com/asset/TAT.ASICMINER
https://btct.co/security/TAT.ASICMINER

I will add them today. Together with the third new pt. You dont know any more too?

I don't think the third one you mentioned went live. However, I might have news about a new one later this week.

You can get fractional shares a little bit cheaper... while they last!

First deal accepted and in progress!
1598  Economy / Securities / [WTB] Bulk Shares of DMC, G.ASICMINER, ASICMINER-PT, TAT.ASICMINER, ASICM on: May 08, 2013, 12:10:55 AM
I will buy shares that exist on any reputable exchange (as well as ASICMINER shares that exist with Friedcat).

Why should you sell to me?
1. Bid orders in your exchange might be too thin to support what you want to sell, and/or you might take a loss if you sold into current bids.
2. You need your bitcoins fast, but bid volume only supports selling a little at a time on your exchange, waiting for new bids can sometimes take weeks/months.
3. This is also a good way to sell shares if you want to avoid directly impacting the share value negatively on your current exchange with a big sell-off.

Please do not post offers in this thread, but ask any questions you like!

Below are the current assets I am interested in, and the minimum quantity of shares I would entertain buying:
DMC - 55
ASICMINER DIRECT-  25
G.ASICMINER  -  25
ASICM - 500
ASICMINER-PT 25
TAT.ASICMINER - 500

How to make an offer:
1. Simply send a private message to me with your share quantity, or contact me on IRC (freenode).
2. Please include your offer price in your message. I will either accept, or I may make 1 counter-offer. There will be no further negotiations after my counter-offer.
3. Once you make an offer, PLEASE DO NOT SELL those shares elsewhere unless I have not replied within 4 hours. I will make myself available to chat live whenever possible.
4. After an offer is accepted, it is considered binding by both parties, and arrangements will be made for the trade. If you backtrack on an accepted offer, it will be made public.
5. If you require escrow, you will pay any escrow fees/tips.

Please do not expect that I will pay full market price. I am looking for good deals that will work within my overall investing and day trading strategies.

I am not always able to buy your shares, and I may not be able to support HUGE sale offers, but I am in contact with many other day traders and may be able to broker a deal for you if the price is right.

This thread may not be completely up to date. I have 1 or 2 more assets I may be adding to this list soon as well.

Thank you for your consideration!
