Well, Satoshi doesn't think 0 confirmations isn't that bad. So why should we be more concerned than the almighty creator of bitcoin!? If you're requiring more than 0 confirmations, it's nice if you show the current balance (0 confirmations) and the available balance (1 or more confirmations), so they can immediately see that their payment is acknowledged. Not all sites need to wait for confirmations, so the dual current & available should be optional. Most sites selling digital goods are fine to accept 0 confirmations.
That means a lot coming from you
Thanks Satoshi. You've always got my back.

I heard that theymos is the first human being to exist entirely on the blockchain. a decentralized human will live forever. let's hope he ain't forked.
Sexy. I'd fork that.
Maybe his widow would pick up the forum and run it more like a business. Maybe Theymos Jr. would drop out of school after girlbtc.com murdered his father in cold blood his papa mysteriously disappears off the face of the earth.

Hahaha omg I'm glad I stumbled upon this. These are really really cheap omg. It's just a generic poker chip with a hologram sticker on it. That's literally it. Why wouldn't I just take a roll of quarters and put holograms on them with my own securely made bitcoin address? Oh my defcon... Why? Just why...

I'm assuming this is a scam attempt
I concure. This op is clearly a sketchy bastard. Looks at all of that negative trust he has. What a lazy 3rd world dirt floor scamming newb.

How about a picture of the pig farm to ease the minds of the people who think this is a scam?
Lol signature spamming at it's finest. He posted pictures of the pigs in the very first post. Are you kidding me? You couldn't even read the OP? Holy shit. Not like I agree that anyone should invest here but he already posted his proof (if you can believe that he can pay you make 180% interest)

Huh? I only see one post when I go to that post history. What are his other posts then? Am I missing something here? Can you post a screenshot? This is bizarre. I only see the one post. Checked on statistics too and it shows the 1 post but gives the old statistics of when the previous posts were from.

Here we go. Could we get an administrator to have a look at the IP address of this user? He's probably smart enough to not use his own but we'll see. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1654387.0;topicseenHe's looking to sell bulk orders of full member accounts. Edit: he has deleted all his previous posts. Maybe it's a hacked account? U=299272

This makes no sense. As soon as a block is made larger than 1MB it will split the chain.
Where is the part that explains why this is a "safe hard fork"?
That's what I'm trying to figure out. A soft fork could be half a Mb (so tightening the rules) but if you increase or loosen the rules it's a hardfork. Where does it explain the hardfork but at the same time increasing block sizes?

Oops I've accidentally gave you 4 negative feedbacks
Get the fuck out of these forums you scamming newbie. All of your accounts will be sought out and you'll never have a chance to scam. Maybe you should find another forum. Your negative feedback means nothing btw. I've had mosquito bites that piss me off more than your useless untrusted feedback. Leave already. You're not welcome here.

I am now awaiting on withdraws which take 7-10 days in my business and I'm needing coins in the mean time. I'm only looking for 0.165 and willing to repay 60% within 10 days maximum. I don't have proper collateral which has put me in a hard place to actually get a loan. I'm willing to provide any information requested and knowing this isn't proper collateral but I'm willing to stake my Paxful account which has great buyer feedback with a trade history of a total of 1,585$ .. Just throwing this out there but why would you only lend 0.015BTC to a legendary member but ask for collateral? If it's their only account I doubt they would want to use an account worth 10x the loan for collateral, just saying. Also yes I agree that everyone should haven't an escrow hold the collateral as this user has virtually no reputation here.

From my observation from bitcointalk, African are not really make it in bitcoin or other altcoin. I try to introduce bitcoin to my colleague but it seen their don't understand what am saying. Is it that we don't study or we underrate the potentials of bitcoin?
No. I know few forum members who are from African countries. So, not sure about your circumstances also due to high anonimity maintained by every member here in this forum hard to know who are all from which continent. Maybe you are right in percentage of users from Africa. my observations was based on local knowledge of bitcoin in my area. I find out that 90% of people from were I come from don't have knowledge on bitcoin, in fact their don't even believe that minig bitcoin is possible. Some of the people think bitcoin is another thing like PayPal or liberty deserve. Thats the same in the city I live in (in Canada) but I don't just lump the entire continent in with me rofl. That doesn't make any sense. Again, what country are you in?

Everyone I've tried has been utterly crap.
What have you tried so far? What was crappy about them? What kind of traffic do you have? There are lots of things you need to answer before any good suggestions come about.

Once someone receives around 10 messages for a trade and he doesn't complete a trade it becomes a sign that there might be something wrong, if you do decide to work with the op get an escrow.
Sold to mixan It's clearly sold. Maybe you should read a little more and type a little less. @op you can lock the thread at the bottom left of your screen (unless there is another trade going on now?)

Waited 8 days with 50%, now the window looks like this.
...
Is anyone able to explain what those % mean at all? I can't understand what these % mean. I understand that the higher % means higher chance to find the address, but do the % refer to a precise timeframe or? And if it doesn't refer to a timeframe, what does it point to?
Is that 75% the chance to find the address in the next 8 days? Or that after 8 days I will have 75% of chance to find the address in the following 8 days?
This has been explained time and time again... The prob % is the odds that you would have found the address in the time you've been running the program. In your scenario, it is estimated this job will take 32 days (at the rate shown in the screenshot). It appears at this rate you've been running vanitygen for 16 days which is 53.2% of the expected time to find the address. It goes a step further by telling you that in another 8 days, there will have been a 75% chance you would have found the address. So, the first prob shows your current progress at finding the address (this is an estimate as it is random), and the second tells you more detailed stats of how much longer until you have a 50%, 75%, etc. chance at finding the address. Thank you very much, sorry for repeating! Should be put in the opening post, imo... that's why it has been answered over and over: because people can't find it. Nobody is going through 150 pages to find this answer. It is on the first page... "If I stop vanitygen when it reports 60% complete, how do I have it restart where it left off? You don't need to. The percentage displayed just shows how probable it is that a match would be found in the session so far. If it finds your address with 5% on the display, you are extremely lucky. If it finds your address with 92% on the display, you are unlucky. If you stop vanitygen with 90% on the display, restart it, and it finds your address with 2% on the display, your first session was unlucky, but your second session was lucky." That's pretty much self explanatory from there!

Zoomer scammed me as well on September 28th about $30 in BTC. I have transcripts to prove it, and I purchased from his ebay account as well and will be leaving appropriate feedback.
Ah, very nice. Please post everything you have, including the eBay username. If a new alt tries to scam with the same username we'll get him tagged asap. Obviously he's going to change his Skype because he made it just for the zoomer account.

but it seen their don't understand what am saying.
Neither do I. Maybe it's just lost in translation. Maybe just showing them the benefits will help you educate them with cryptocurrency. It's kind of strange that you're lumping everyone in Africa together though. What country do you live in?

An app is essentially static while this website is dynamic. The entire site could be changed without your knowledge and you would find out next time you opened it in your browser... the app would need to be upgraded and downloaded and installed and available for all different oper8ing systems.
Can any of the pro app people explain how an app for this website would be of ANY value to anyone...please?
maybe we need new service or promotion to the forum , eg,charge our online time (on this forum) into bitcoin or altcoin as reward than APP maybe a good alternative or plus Lol people already get paid to be here with signature campaigns. The admins aren't going to pay you to be here. Or are you saying we get charged for using bitcointalk? Either way it's a terrible idea. I hope the new forum at least has a mobile friendly website. I always have to zoom in to see the teeny little letters. Maybe I'm just missing something on android 6.0 haha.

You will want to be very cautious when choosing who to deal with. PayPal can be reversed up to 180 days later and if it's fraudulent then possibly even long (even for a friend's and family payment).
