~

Are you the nutjob that pestered me to provide escrow for a trade with colires a few days ago?  It must have been you, I recognize you as the same entitled asshole who can't take no for an answer.  I don't believe you that you got scammed by not saving the codes in time.  Smacks of bullshit to me.

Don't misinterpret this as me defending colires; he's dealing in digital property that's either stolen or hacked.  How can you trust people who do that?  Why do you think I refused?

I do believe nutildah, however.  The blockchain doesn't lie.  Good job making the connection.

Aaron Jones needs to run the whole length of the field and score a touchdown.... ~5 times. Which is not impossible, they're playing the Lions Grin

Well, he got 4 TDs, but fell far short of the yardage I needed.  What a bastard!  Cheesy

Are you guys watching the game with Payton and Eli?  It's different, that's for sure, but I think I like it.
Yeah the eli/peyton broadcast is much better.  It's a way better experience watching the games like that than watching the regular format with 2 announcers.  It's like hanging out with your friends talking about the game as it's going on but with 2 people that know the ins and outs of every play and situation.  Definately watching the rest of the season like this espn nailed it.

Yeah, that was fun.  I agree, it was like watching the game with some very knowledgeable friends.  I didn't miss the play by play broadcasts, the Mannings would talk about formations and coverages, and break down the defensive successes and breakdowns.  Bret Favre was an awesome addition, I've always liked that guy and his presence brought up some fun stories.

Can you believe Eli snuck into a bar at age 17?  What a hoodlum.  I would have never done anything of that sort... (that's what I tell my kids, anyway.)  Cool

Who are 49ers fielding against Green Bay on Sunday, do they even have healthy RBs left on their roster?

Quote
#49ers RB news from Kyle Shanahan: Jamycal Hasty is out for a while w/ an ankle injury, Elijah Mitchell is day to day with shoulder injury and Trey Sermon is in concussion protocol

They lost Mostert to a season-ending surgery following week 1 injury, i mean who do they have, Trenton Cannon? Ravens signed all the serviceable RB free agents that were still available.

Fuck, maybe go with Deebo Samuel for a week, dude is built like a running back.  Grin

I expect Elijah Mitchell to play this weekend, but yeah, that's a common theme for the Niners.  We usually employ smaller, stout running backs, and plenty of them.  One of the reasons they tend to not be as durable as the bigger guys on other teams.  I was bummed to see Mostert go out for the season, but honestly I wasn't surprised.

I still have Aaron Jones left to play tonight, but somehow I'm doubting he'll score 67 points.  Anyway, I'm accepting my loss this week, congrats to suchmoon on a decisive victory.

Funny you should say that, I did some math yesterday and if I was right (kinda doubtful, math rarely works after 3rd beer) then Aaron Jones needs to run the whole length of the field and score a touchdown.... ~5 times. Which is not impossible, they're playing the Lions Grin

But yeah it's a bit of a long shot.

Unfortunately for me, my beginner's luck won't be there when I'll need it, e.g. week 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 LOL. All of my players - except maybe Kittle - happened to have a great week but I can't rely on Bills D/ST bringing in 19 points every time.

Yep he just needs like a 400 yard rushing game with like 5 tds lol.  Watch he goes off for 200 yards and 3 tds though against the lions.  This is going to be a high scoring game I think.  I just need swift to not rack up crazy points.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda started the Pat's D, and now it's looking I should have started Rodgers also.  Deep down inside I knew he would have a good game tonight, and it was probably worth taking a risk on him over Josh Allen.  Of course I also expected the Bills to trounce the 'Fins, but who knew it would be that type of trouncing?

First quarter Aaron Jones already has 30 yards rushing and a receiving touchdown.  That's why you never sit him.  He will have a bad game and all every once in a while but he is a legitimate top 10 ff player.

Yeah, he's on pace to give me the points.  If only every drive can go like that, I'll have a chance.

Dolphins OL is sucking so badly today... I'm cringing even though it's making me a shitload of points.

It would have been nice to see it translate to receiver and QB stats as well, but no such luck for my team.  Cry

What a fucked up week for my team.  The Steelers' D was just abysmal and cost me -1 point, my top receivers had a pedestrian day.  You know you're fucked when your QB only scores 3 point more that your kicker, who outscored everyone else on your team.  I still have Aaron Jones left to play tonight, but somehow I'm doubting he'll score 67 points.  Anyway, I'm accepting my loss this week, congrats to suchmoon on a decisive victory.

At least I won my bet from last nights game; multibet with the Ravens to cover (+3.5,) the Chiefs over 23.5, and Mahomes to throw 2+ touchdowns.  4.21 to 1 odds; BOOM!

1866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 15, 2021, 09:57:46 PM
Greenbay was a massive shock to everyone this week and to me it looked like Rogers was timid and afraid and had no faith in his O-Line. Maybe his antics are coming back to bite him in the ass and his boys are truly pissed off at him. I think it might be dangerous to play GB players this week even though their opponent should be a cake walk.

I think that surprised everyone.  I had Rodgers on the bench for that game, but I started Aaron Jones and he didn't do much either.  I'm not going to dump either of them, in fact I think I'll keep Jones on my roster for the Detroit match.  I hope he does better this week.  As for Rodgers, I'll give him one or two more weeks to see if he gets in the NFL mindset before making my decision.

Well week one is in the books and I don't know about you guys but me and Suchmoon had a real close game that came down to Monday night. He Had ravens QB and Raiders RB and I had Ravens D and a 35 or so point lead with which Lamar can cover easily alone so I was a bit worried and rightfully so!

It was quite exciting indeed. I was worried about Jacobs being questionable before the game but he delivered big time, limping and all.

What pisses me off is that ESPN put me in 7th position on the wire, which basically means I can't get the players I want... even though my team is like 3rd worst in the league.

It was almost as fun watching your two teams as it was watching the game on Monday night.  That was cool, and it did come down to the wire.  It was looking like Lamar was going to keep suchmoon in the lurch, but he did just enough.

GUI
  • bitcoin-core/gui#4 UI external signer support (e.g. hardware wallet) (Sjors)

Taproot, schmaproot, this is what I'm most excited about.  Just kidding, of course taproot is obviously a big improvement to the network and data base.  My hard drives are celebrating already.  But I am really excited about GUI support for hardware wallets.  I updated the full node I'm running on my primary (Win10) PC last night but I didn't get a chance to play with it in combination with a hardware wallet.  I'll goof around with it and a spare hardware wallet (a KeepKey) tonight.

I plan on updating my node server this weekend, getting ready for taproot integration.

@achow101, just an FYI; the downloads page on bitcoincore.org still lists Wladimir's key, 01EA5486DE18A882D4C2684590C8019E36C2E964, but I didn't see it as one of the keys that signed the sums file.
Yes, the docs are getting updated. Wladimir's release key will still be used to sign the backport releases (0.20.2, 0.21.2, etc.), but he will use his personal key for in the signatures for future releases.

Thanks.  I've had your key and Wladimir's key in my keyring for months, so I thought it was funny that yours was the only signature confirmed.  I didn't know which of these keys is Wladimir's personal key, but I found it:

Double bad news for DireWolfM14 Raheem Mostert has decided to go through a season ending surgery so he is out for the reminder of the season, as a fan and as a fantasy owner this is not good, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

https://www.sfgate.com/49ers/article/49ers-Raheem-Mostert-out-eight-weeks-wife-16455788.php

Yeah that's a drag.  I had high hopes for him.  I really didn't intend on drafting a 9ers RB, but I fucked myself over in the Running Back department during the draft.  Once I finally realized my mistake he was the best prospect available.  I tried to replace him with Elijah Mitchell on waivers, but Hueristic beat me to him.

Would Trey Sermon be included in the team on week 2 or will San Francisco make Elijah Mitchell their rb1? I speculate that there might be more effort to play Mitchell as rb1 than considering Sermon in the team as rb2 or rb3. I have requested for a change in ESPN already hehehe. Also, did Covid Cam get a free opportunity for a reunification with Ron Rivera?

A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Fitzpatrick is expected to miss six to eight weeks.

Fitzpatrick was injured on a second-quarter hit in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He was replaced by Taylor Heinicke, who will start Thursday's game vs. the New York Giants. Heinicke completed 11 of 15 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown Sunday.

Source https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32203017/washington-football-team-rules-ryan-fitzpatrick-thursday-vs-giants-taylor-heinicke-start-qb

This is a good question.  I drafted Sermon in one of my leagues and was absolutely shocked when I saw that he was a healthy scratch on Sunday morning.  I am not sure what that is all about by any means.  Normally the San Fran Niners like to use a few running backs which made it even more confusing.  Now that Mostert is out for the year Sermon will get his chance to shine..and it might not be that hard to take over the job from Mitchell.

After Elijah Mitchell's performance this past Sunday, I expect him to get the starting job this weekend, but I expect we'll see a bunch of Trey Sermon as well.  Typical 49ers playbook; running back by committee.  If Mostert had stayed healthy last weekend we probably would have seen most Mitchell's production shared among him and Raheem.

1870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 13, 2021, 03:15:31 PM
Congratulations to Francesco Bagnaia, the 2021 Aragon MotoGP champion and Marquez in second place.

The two riders went ahead of each other to reach the last lap and it was nice to see these two riders, and I think everyone thought only Bagnaia and Maruez were racing because the cameraman was only focused on them because they were both very interesting to watch. Grin
I didn't think Marquez got the podium yesterday, but he deserved it. In the last 2 laps, both very fierce competition in bend, sometimes, Mark surpasses Bagnaia, but he Surpasses him again so on until last the finish, mark make a bit mistaken off the track on the sand, then make Bagnaia farther away from him. I focus either on Quartararo, what happens with him?, I guess he gets the trouble with tire or machine cycle.

An amazing performance by Bagnaia, beating Marc Marquez in Aragon and making him look old with every overtaking attempt is a not easy task. And at the end Marc tried the crowbar and has clearly brake mistake, Bagnaia had a very good day and can imagine for the future that he will be the next world champion on Ducati.

Yamaha was simply not competitive on the track, Fabio has brought out the maximum for Yamaha, more was not inside.

That was a lot of fun to watch.  So many chances for Marc to get clear but Pecco just wasn't having it.  Bagnaia had a great race, obviously excited to get his first win in MotoGP.  I'm sure it made it even better having fended off the 8-time champ who was nipping at his heals.  You may very well be right about him being the next to bring Ducati the championship.  There's very little chance of that happening this year with only 5 races left in the schedule, however.

My main take-away from yesterday's race however, is that Marquez is back!  Marc looked great yesterday, that was by far his best performance since coming back from his injury.  The rest of the riders should be concerned to see him striving to get back to his previous form, and now it looks like it's just a matter of time.  I predict he'll win a race or two before the season is over.  He's been super strong at the Circuit of the Americas in the past, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the top of the podium in Texas this year.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 13, 2021, 01:50:02 AM
My wide receivers and running backs on the bench have collected more points than the players who were playing hehe. It also appears that I have made a mistake. I have drafted lower ranked players without superstars the team requires to bring more points.

How much is a good average no. points per week?

Don't despair, there're fluctuations from week to week.  Also keep a look out on the waiver wire, you may find a few gems to fill in your weak positions.  It's hard to determine this early in the season, so be very critical of your decision before you trade.  Make sure to consider the opponents and how they performed.  Ask yourself, was it a fluke that X player performed so badly, and X performed so well.  What could possibly go wrong?  As the season progresses and you have a larger pool of data to review, the decisions to trade up become easier.
1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 12, 2021, 08:19:58 PM
Hmmm... maybe I should have put Deebo in flex. Oh well.

Yeah, he's had a great game.  I'm hoping my gamble on Pat's D against Miami was a good call, my other option was Pittsburg, and they held my QB and one of my receivers to a total of 24 points.

Danm, now the Niners seem to be doing everything they can to lose this game after scoring 41 points.  WTF!  Picking up Goff doesn't seem so crazy now.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 11, 2021, 03:05:23 PM
I think there could be three plus goals in the Leicester/City, Man U v Newcastle and Leeds V Liverpool games. I've gone for 3-0 on the Man U game but if Ronaldo is starting I might add another one or two on there. Games like Brentford V Brighton, Watford/Wolves and Southampton/West Ham could be bore draws though and I don't expect many goals if any if those ones.

Scoreless first half in almost all the matches, except (of course) Renaldo comes through in stoppage time.  ManU is looking pretty good, lots of opportunities in the first half.  I could see a couple more goals in the second for United.

Arsenal hungry for a first win and looking to get it versus Norwich? Chelsea hoping to get the full points and stay close to Spurs? Leeds Liverpool was 4-3 last season, lest we forget?

I hope Arsenal get 3 points today, the match is subscription only in my market and I'm not seeing any highlights yet.  Go Gunners!

I predict wins for Chelsea and LFC, but I also expect Leeds to make things interesting.

Tottenham losing by 3 goals to Crystal Palace!

Big upset for the Spurs, none of us saw that coming.  They just imploded in the the last 15 minutes and Palace took advantage.  Otherwise that was a pretty boring game for the first 75.

Nothing that happens here is worth that much, I assure you.

Morbid af, but a good segue back to the topic at hand: @airfinex, give it up.  Nothing will come of this, and as nutildah so eloquently suggested, it ain't worth the heartburn.
1875  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electr on: September 10, 2021, 11:48:21 PM
If you want to have a nested segwit wallet, you have to check BIP39.

Yes, of course.  My point was that you don't have to use the iancolman tool; a seed generated by Electrum will also allow to you to select the "Bip39" option, and you can indeed create a nested segwit HD wallet by doing so.  I made the distinction between a Bip39 seed and an Electrum seed because they are technically different.

Again, this is not a recommendation.
1876  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electr on: September 10, 2021, 10:15:12 PM
For having a HD nested segwit wallet on electrum, the only solution is to generate a BIP39 seed phrase somewhere else like iancoleman and import it into electrum.

It doesn't have to be a Bip39 seed, it can be done with a seed generated by Electrum.  You just have to generate a seed and when creating a new wallet select "I already have a seed."  It's not a recommended method, for various reasons that have been brought up before, but it does work.

I missed the game, had some plans with friends last night.  Everybody was talking about it at work today, so I'll check out the highlights when I get home.  It sounds like you guys enjoyed it too.  Football is officially here, yay!

After collecting points from Tom Brady, can I put him on the bench and replace him with Matthew Stafford or will that remove Brady’s points?

 Shocked

Damn, you greedy!  Tongue

Good FF day for Brady, congratulations on that.  I'm glad that I started Amari Cooper.  I was seriously concerned that the Buc's D was going to keep a lid on him, but he scored nearly three times ESPN's projections.

Gronk Smash!!!

Lol, quite impressive stats for a tight end.

What an opening game last night!  I had pretty much figured that the Bucs would end up destroying the Cowboys but have to give credit where credit is due, Dallas came out to play and Dak looked really good last night.  It was amazing that he had 50 pass attempts with 11 minutes to go in the the 4th quarter lol

Did you guys catch the Tom Brady FTX Commercial?! It played twice during the game- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shVpqXNso2A

I was expecting a lop-sided victory also, and was pissed when I checked the score after getting home last night.  I put a tiny bet on a series of props, and the Cowgirls fucked up two of them for me.  I'd rather see two good teams knock each other around in a close match than watch one team run away with it.

Stop deflecting, address your problems head on.  It's the only way to resolve them.  That's nothing more than friendly advice, and now I'm done here.

Advantage?  What possible advantage am I offering anyone by talking about your head-hunts that result in nothing?  I don't know that user, and I'm not offering him any support.  I'm talking about you and your tendencies.  Stop deflecting.

Ah, now I'm delusional and lacking "thought process" in my head.

Sorry I'm not a Ratimov fanboy.  I guess you'll just have to spend the next week going through my blockchain history.  Carry on.
