1961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: United state 🇺🇸 take the lead in global Bitcoin adoption 2021 on: September 20, 2021, 07:57:59 PM
Measuring adoption by the number of ATMs in a country is equal to measuring adoption by the number of new addresses on the blockchain. It's nonsense and helps exactly zero % measuring it.
It's still not a guarantee just by measuring the number of bitcoin atm machines, and yet the government has not even regulated bitcoin and even the citizens are not even crypto friendly i think. I would rather say that it's El Salvador because its the first nation to accept bitcoin as a legal tender and its citizens are now starting to utilize bitcoin as what it supposed to be a currency.

However, most of the developers in crypto are US based but when we talk of countries leading global adoption and making it widely spread this year, it might be some other countries like Japan and EL Salvador.
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you cope with the stress of trading? on: September 17, 2021, 09:08:54 PM
What is really stressful about trading? To be honest I never experience stress when it comes to trading because I always think optimistically when there is a price drop
everyone has different hours of trading time, and also different levels of mental strength, bro. Don't compare yourself to other people because they are not the same. There are many factors that make people experience stress or fatigue in trading and they should be avoided.
Trading has always its risk associated in it and of course the stress that it will caused. And i know most of the traders have hard time avoiding stress so if they can't deal with it, then it would be very unhealthy to continue trading.

I have been dealing with stress lately and i must say i had come to conquer it. I think getting a break from trading is really a good idea to avoid being exhausted. Have fun with the good people around and never stop yourself from enjoying just because you failed in trading. Do the things that will help you forget about trading for a while. Divert your mind into some other interesting activities that will relieve all the stress in your life. And when you think you are ready again to trade, start trading with more positivity in mind.
1963  Economy / Economics / Re: Now UK is facing inflation so choose the best for you.. on: September 17, 2021, 08:36:46 PM
What is clear is that in a hyperinflation scenario, and in life in general, those who have financial assets will always be better off economically than those who do not, even if in a crisis those assets lose value and their income is reduced.
Owning a boat without hole is surely better than sinking one in the ocean but that doesn't imply you can sail through your journey easily and same is the case with middle class and working class that with rising prices they both will have to suffer a lot but Middle class can survive upto some more time with all their savings and financial assets but if you notice the hyperinflation situation won't let them survival chance at high level. So bitcoin is surely a better option for them both. The rich and lower class won't have much impact because rich or elite class are already having and gaining more day by day so these inflation don't affect them at much and lower class already are not having privilege authority to have or maintain such living standards. But working and middle class have to live upto that mark but it's creating problem for them with these high prices of necessary food item.

And that's the kicker--in addition to higher prices, taxes are going up and governments are looking high and low for ways to cut funding to various programs, and it's not just happening in the UK.  It's happening in the US and who knows how many other countries.
These kind of things are happening around the globe and what government is doing to counter such things is printing more money or ramping up the taxes and revising tax slabs and still these inflation charts are not relaxing and when next votes will come they will blame previous party for the same and this continues.

I hate to be pessimistic and I'm not a person wearing a "doomsday is coming" sandwich board, but Jesus....it's going to suck to be poor for a very long time, and even if you're in the middle class it's going to be bad.
If there was not an option like bitcoin to us then definitely we would be living in delusional world where fiat is everything and inflation is just because the supply is limited or due to another factors but with bitcoin we see a firm future ahead which is away from any political hindrance and you can have your funds safe. The dollar and other currencies have gone 60-70% downward of the prices and purchasing power is reducing so it's better not to be poor at that time.If not bitcoin then backup your options but don't blame at that time because the time is not too faw away even if we are not pessimistic about it.

The continuing high inflations right now happening in different countries is no longer a normal scenario anymore. It will cause the economy of such countries to collapse so while there is bitcoin right now that will serve as a good option, then probably adopting it might be a good start. UK is not an exception to this as this is facing a high inflation rate which if not addressed in as early as possible, the citizens will be the one to suffer. So its time for the country's leader to save the country's economy by having to adopt bitcoin and put an end to its never ending high inflation rate.
1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bag holders of SOL? on: September 17, 2021, 08:10:47 PM
Lesson No.1 - never buy a coin at ath or who has already gone up in percentage alot, the pump was already too scary and this dip was bound to occur,
That being said, you can either develop a steel hands and hold through or sell now (for a possibility of more dip) and buy something fresh to recover.
It is possible for sol to hit that price again depending on market situation, probably it won't happen now.
SOL is currently in a price correction and i believe its normal. If we can hold them for years then that will be good for SOL because we know the project has definitely good potentials and might even outgrow ethereum in the future. Yes, it might fall into a more dip but if we think this project has the potentials to survive, then it will definitely bounce back again. So no need to worry for bag holders of SOL, you will make huge profits as long as SOL continues to be bullish again.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 17, 2021, 12:10:43 PM
I'm curious why Canelo does not want another big fight with GGG

As he said in his interview "he has beaten GGG already, there is nothing to prove anymore". Also he said that "he will rather give an opportunity for other boxers to have a title fight, then beating same guy twice".

But I think that Canelo is simply afraid to give a rematch. As he won GGG only with 2 point difference (115-113, 114-114, 115-113). That is not such a big advantage co claim he has beaten GGG. But I guess will might see Canelo vs GGG 3 only when they both finish their career and it will be an exhibition fight or the fight that wont get in their boxing record.

I have a doubt that he knows that GGG could beat him, if he is really good, why not give way to this fight that could potentially give him a lot of money compared to what he can make fighting the young fighters. Though they have already fought twice, people are still urging them to fight again as they weren't so convinced that the bout was won by Canelo, so for one last time, I hope Canelo will realized that it's the people who are asking it.
1966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trader needs to be a full time trader to be successful? on: September 17, 2021, 08:30:59 AM
When I'm still new here in crypto i did tried trading and yeah Lucky that most of my trade brings me profit though not that big because i wanna be secure so if i reached 15% gain i will go out and find another coin to trade.
but this is not happening to everyone so maybe you'll gain today and lose tomorrow .
if you think that you can make money in this and enough to make a living then why not?after all this is a sole decision and the forum won't help you at any cost here.
You're right. At the end of the day, your decision to take full time or part time in trading will still be the one that matters. So If you have no other job and you think you can do more good in trading, then focusing in trading could give you more advantage and be more successful in the field. It might be more risky than just simply investing and holding while waiting to make profits but trading has more guarantee that the profits will be easier and faster. Just imagine that you are giving most of your time into trading so definitely you will gain more techniques and strategies in trading that will be very useful in making your trade more successful than those who are only doing part time trading.
1967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar supporters destroy Bitcoin ATM in El Salvador on: September 17, 2021, 07:36:41 AM
Suspicious as if someone pays them to do this. I mean if bitcoin is just an alternative currency for them to use then why would someone came up to do this without them being affected at all. Anyway, the government must take action to this kind of behavior because the rioters only want the government plan to fail and their reason is hate and nothing more.
This is very cruel and insensible. I agree on you that maybe someone is behind with this improper act. But come to think of it, are these citizens are very much affected having bitcoin as a legal tender? We all know that the USD dollar is still used in EL Salvador so they have nothing to be worried and be angry like that. I almost think that these people are against the governance of the current leader of the country so all they have to do is to keep ruining the president's advocacies. But there's no way that bitcoin be threatened like that seeing its adoption will eventually grow in the coming months and years.
1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the house of the cryptocurrency market on: September 17, 2021, 06:33:00 AM
That's right, bitcoin is the first foundation for other altcoins and ethereum I think has a second position under bitcoin. And cryptocurenncy exists because of bitcoin itself
The whole crypto market evolve in bitcoin so yes, bitcoin is the strong foundation and ethereum and the rest of the altcoins are just its followers. If  bitcoin drops its price, most likely the whole crypto market will definitely fall too. And if bitcoin starts to rise up again, only those potential altcoins will eventually recover. So without bitcoin, the whole crypto will never make progress and might only stay undervalued.

However, every coin has its own function but it can never be deny that bitcoin still drives the crypto market to where it is right now.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: September 16, 2021, 07:26:06 AM
The Puerto Rican might be a good prospect but he is facing somebody with much more experience and this will be a significant test for him. Sultan has not been consistent enough to become champion. He beat Casimero but then lost to Ancajas. Sultan has 5 losses but has never been knocked out. My prediction is that this will go the distance but the undefeated fighter will get the decision.
The undefeated will always prevail, either Sultan does his best twofold or even hundredfold or be half cocked and get defeated, he has to step up his game on this one because it's going to be the big match and pretty sure that there's a lot of eyes on this match.

If Caraballo wanted ot keep his undefeated record, he is the one that are pressure in his fight. So he might over extend and that's where Sultan is good at, getting his opponent off balance and not giving them the time to set up their power punch just like in the Casimero fight. Casimero can't get anything going because Sultan is beating him to the punch. So this is still a good fight so we shouldn't underestimate Sultan here.
I don't know that he fought Casimero, so Sultan is really legit, he can give his undefeated opponent some problem because he is also good, maybe just underrated. Sometimes, we only look at the record, and if we see an undefeated fighter, we presume that he is a great fighter without going through the quality of his opponents.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 16, 2021, 06:45:33 AM
Not much to argue with Blackwater, personally I really don't see any desire from the players, they just good at the start, but when the opponent locks them down, they are not willing to take the challenge.

If they play like that all the time, then there's no reason to watch them because they are not inspired and they will not win. The current handicap odds for the Blackwater is +13.5, bookies really know what's happening with Blackwater as they gave us very attractive odds, of course for those who have no idea on the struggle of the team this season.
1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you protect your Bitcoin from market volatility? on: September 15, 2021, 08:29:36 PM
I don't think it's something possible, except if you sell your BTC every now and then.
The high volatility of the market has been here since the beginning of bitcoin and as long as bitcoin will exist, it will never be protected from any price fluctuation, the price might go down all of a sudden then goes up again. But if you sell your btc every now and then, you will never feel the impact of market volatility.

But i know most of the people in this community prefer long term holding than short term because the profits is absolutely high. So if you hold bitcoin for long term, it will never have an excuse from having price fluctuations  because at the end of the day, you will only sell it if it reaches your target selling price.
1972  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin trading? can Bitcoin trading profitable without having lost? on: September 15, 2021, 07:33:04 PM
I have spent time to read about Bitcoin trading, hence want to comprehend how it influence and overwhelm The market in this forum.as a newbie who's interested and curious about Bitcoin trading, eager to be impacted with knowledge from my superiors (legendary and hero members etc)
A trader will get a loss someday because the trader can not always take profit, even in bitcoin. But what makes it different is that a good trader can change the situation by recovering their losses and learning more about trading. You only need to learn how to be a good trader, make a profit, and control your emotion because, in trading, you will face many things that can make your emotion or tension or pressure high. If you lose, you will have a good lesson to analyze why you lose to improve your skills in the next trading.
Losses will be very possible when it comes to bitcoin trading even how good or expert you are. The good traders may overcome from committing losses often but still, they end up losing somehow. Because if trading does not incur losses most often, then everyone will focus on it rather than simply investing and holding. But it will not be that way. The more you get knowledgeable and skilled in trading, the higher chances that you will make profits than losing your capital. But even how often you make profits, expect that you will also lose sometimes because bitcoin trading is just between losing your money or winning your profits. If you lose, the other trader wins profits too.
1973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The path to mass adoption of crypto on: September 15, 2021, 07:12:20 PM
The biggest challenge for any crypto project is mass adoption and for various reasons many people still prefer the traditional method over blockchain technology.
They will prefer it and it will take a long long time before a transition will start.
People prefer to use the traditional method of paying which is the fiat currency because they feel comfortable with it. Another one is that is the currency that all of us are accepting unlike crypto that only a few are accepting it as of this moment. I agree that it is the biggest challenge right now and its normal too that transitioning from another currency to another will take some time.
Bitcoin is definitely the way to go, there is no way that it wouldn't be bitcoin. All we need is a way to get into phones of everyone. The shops that suppose to accept it needs to actually handle this part, if we could convince more and more places to accept bitcoin or even any other coin then we are going to be doing fine, but it hasn't been that easy at all, it has been quite the challenge.

There are tons of people who are willing to pay with crypto to buy something, and there are not enough places that take crypto for giving whatever it is, so we do not need to convince people who spend money, we need to convince people who accept it, like a cafe, an ikea like place, a bookstore, a hotel, whatever it is, just accept crypto, and we will have mass adoption for sure.
Mass education for crypto should always be the first step so that people will eventually understand how crypto works and how it will be beneficial for us. Its hard for everyone to accept crypto and use it right away as a currency without having been informed on how to use it and how it can be an advantage compared to the traditional method.

Blockchain technology is definitely better compared to the traditional method. People cannot realize it because they are still attached to fiat because the government backed it up and because they are already used to it. Especially with older people who cannot easily adopt blockchain technology because they don't have enough knowledge on it and because they have no time to understand it either.
1974  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador Bitcoin payment option on: September 15, 2021, 07:52:46 AM
it's a good thing El Salvador is taking it slowly, not everyone can quickly adapt to Bitcoin and just understand it so quickly, also, I guess they made an option/choice to the sellers to receive fiat or BTC as payment since we all know how volatile Bitcoin is, probably those who are knowledgeable would likely to receive the payments as fiat just so they can play it safe and not worry about the price dipping.
Well its still an advantage that even if you have bitcoin in your Chivo wallet, at the end of the day the merchant is still free to choose whether to accept bitcoin or fiat as a payment. The buyer can save his bitcoin, as well as the merchant or the receiver of the payment is free from bitcoin's price fluctuation. So at least bitcoin payment option is already clear.

And as far as i know, right now the Chivo wallet is not yet working fully because of some issues but eventually the government will be done in fixing it so it will be already available to be downloaded by all Salvadorans. Things might be tough from the start but eventually, since the government has addressed it already, then it will be smooth sailing after that.
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does the scammer companies earn through bitcoin ? on: September 15, 2021, 06:18:18 AM
They promise people huge amounts of money and then making them excited about this and at the same time instigate them into investing into their company and then this gullible person will comply and give them the amount that they're asking for and that's how they make some money, some of them will pay for awhile and when you decide that you want to increase what you're making, that's when they pull the rug on you.
No one would pay you with that amount just by seeing an ad. If you want to earn bitcoin, work hard for it. The company is not really existing and its only run by certain scammers who's job is to encourage people to invest and when they start investing, the said company will offer them huge returns from their money being invested. Maybe in the first months, investors will definitely receive a good amount but after several months when the fake company has already received lots of money from investors, then they totally disappear in just a sudden. This is not new to everyone especially when you're in a business field.  Different types of scamming like ponzi scheme will definitely arise just to make advantage of those people's money out from their ignorance.
1976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins on: September 14, 2021, 10:15:10 PM
I just leave the dead coins be. There is no hope for them anymore. I hold up tons of them different kinds in my wallet but I just remind myself to
focus on what is active right now. You cannot do anything for them now.
Dead coins will never be profitable and gain their value back so most likely they are bound to trash. Clean your wallet so you can focus on the new potential coins that have been making profits in the market and as much as possible, prioritize bitcoin more than altcoins. In this way, even if your coins are dumping because of some price corrections but you won't get much affected because you are not holding anymore those shitcoins.

I prefer to forget all my losses with my dead coins before. There's no way i can regain all my losses back then. This time, focus on bitcoin and altcoins that have been more established and more productive in the market.
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: September 14, 2021, 01:08:38 PM
I wouldn't doubt about Caraballo's power, Sultan has to be careful as he is facing a very dangerous fighter, winning all his fights via KO, that's something special, he is like a Wilder in the bantamweight division, and for Sultan to be able to win, he needs to be the Fury.

Record wise, we can say that Carlos Caraballo is a dangerous fighter but he should not let his guard down against a dangerous and aggressive Sultan. I made a few searches on Sultan's previous fights and the attached youtube video below caught my attention. Sultan was challenging Tete for his continental belt and man, that was a very dangerous KO and I'm sure that Caraballo's camp has seen this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMllqkIbt1k

That kind of power needs to face a fighter that is also powerful. I have never seen this kind of standing KO, seems like his opponent could have slept if not because of the roofs. hmmm.. I feel like despite Sultan is not undefeated, he should be given full respect due to his power and Caraballo cannot be too complacent here.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 14, 2021, 12:42:56 PM
If Casimero wins, Donaire has no choice but to fight him like no other champion in the division where he could unify. Not good for Donaire because he once cancelled a fight, they were supposed to meet Casimero this year but it did not happen because Donaire was soft, trash talk made him cancel the fight, that's hilarious.
The thing is the more you got trash talk, the more you'll be motivated to beat him. IMO, their fight got cancelled is just a trick to give more chance of both Filipino boxer to beat Inoue. If Casimero and Donaire fight didn't get cancelled, Inoue only need to fight one of them to be a champions of his division.

Good theory, they are both Filipino so they will bring pride to the country if they will win against Inoue the best fighter in the bantamweight division. I like to see the outcome of Inoue vs Casimero soon, but honestly, if Casimero loses, I don't expect that Donarie will beat Inoue in their rematch.

Quote
In boxing trash talk is allowed, if Donaire can't accept his opponent trash talking to him... he shouldn't become a boxer.
Way too much according to him, he was disrespected, his wife and his family, that's enough to cool off the fight.
1979  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 12, 2021, 10:48:04 PM
Sad but true, though the government assures that vaccination is not compulsory if we look at the establishment, they will require a vaccination card before you can enter the place as it's the standard set by the owners. How would anyone enjoy freedom if that's the rule? the government did not directly say it's compulsory but in reality, it is, I'm expressing my opinion based on my experience in our country.
I can truly attest to that because that's already happening in our country too. Even when it comes to public vehicles and services, passengers are required to show their vaccination card and a negative result of rapid antigen test particularly if you came from other municipalities or cities. We cannot longer enjoy our lives with this kind of governance as if those who are not vaccinated are being deprived from our privileges.

I get much affected with this type of government because i am not yet vaccinated, so other people who are fully vaccinated are acting like they want to avoid those non vaccinated ones. This is the sad reality of what is happening now.
1980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shall We Hold Our Bitcoin Like Gollum? on: September 11, 2021, 10:53:42 PM
Many of us are hoarding more Bitcoins over time. That is also the reason why Bitcoin dropped sharply on exchanges
transactions in the past few years.
Will we sell out of Bitcoin one day? Like how the ring was thrown into volcanic lava.
Even I am a holder, I will take certain times to sell my Bitcoin (at least some) to take profits.
Actually, being consistent to have more and more Bitcoin for investment is interesting. However, at least, taking profits is also important, at least for me personally.
And every time that we have the moment to buy again the coin, we can buy it and make it as an investment again.

It's not that we are only here to keep hodling our coins and continue seeing its price continue to grow. Our main goal which is to make profits and enjoy it should not be put in our last option. Atleast once in a while we were able to enjoy the profits that we have been working for so long. And once its done, then maybe re invest again for future profits.

I know that most of us have been so greedy in hodling our coins longer for better prices but don't tell me if emergency case suddenly arise, won't you sell some of them? The choice may still vary at some point at a time.
