2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins survive the dip on: August 23, 2021, 11:33:52 PM
That is what we obviously seeing and for sure that everyone makes to understand that shitcoins can no longer be a good coin no matter how long we hold them it never has a chance to increase their market credibility. This somewhat gives us the reason why we should choose those coins that are worth it. If we don't care about losing our money, then we have to choose shitcoins.

For we are aiming for long-term investment, it was best not to choose new projects as the majority of them are short-term and as usual, they will go after the hypes rather than to pick coins on the top 10 or top 20.

Most of the projects that have been out in the market today are usually good from the start seeing the project's good promotion and development but when a big correction strikes, their value eventually start to decline and some may even recover but most of them stay in dip. So its best to choose those top coins who are always listed in the top 10 or 20 as they have more chances to recover from such corrections in the market.

However, everytime a bearish season comes, even those good coins drop their prices along with those low potential coins. But as long as they still recover from any dips, investing in those coins are still worth the risk.
2042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin brings us true freedom of thought on: August 23, 2021, 09:41:45 PM
maybe this is what makes bitcoin last so long and is getting more and more popular so that there are so many enthusiasts who want to invest in the crypto world, with true freedom of thought that bitcoin gives like for example we want to survive or release bitcoin in the stock market, then we can do that anytime when we want, maybe this is what we say bitcoin gives us true thinking

The presence of bitcoin changes the perspective of investing and trading, not bound by place and time as in stock trading or bank deposits that have to queue up if you want to open or close an account, this is true freedom because bitcoin gives us a vision of the future of transactions and finance.
Bitcoin is definitely gives us more freedom not just to express our thoughts but also freedom on anything we want to do with our own money without the control of banks or any finance group. And it changes my perception about finances that made me more attracted to it not just as a mere investment but also as a valuable currency in the future.

With bitcoin, i do realize that having a decentralized currency is worth every value on it than just relying on fiat alone which brings more inflation and no transparency because of its centralized nature.
2043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: August 23, 2021, 09:18:26 PM

If Casimero will lose this fight, maybe, his trash talking will slow down. So it is interesting to see this fight.

Depending on the outcome of the fight, if it will turn out a controversial fight that will have to go to the scorecard, maybe Casimero will continue with his trash-talking so he will get a rematch. However, Inoue does not want to go to the scorecard, as per his statement, he wants to beat down Casimero to the ground, so that's very interesting to see.
2044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 20, 2021, 08:40:31 PM
I don't know if anyone saw this, but Lebron James was not to thrilled with the recent poll that came out that was asking who the best player in the NBA is and the only two players receiving votes were Giannis and Kevin Durant.  Lebron of course is using this a fuel to his fire for the upcoming season but I ask you guys..who is the best player in the NBA?

My personal pick would be Kevin Durant.  I think right now if I had to pick one player, he would be my go to guy.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/32051548/lebron-james-reacts-amassing-zero-votes-nba-best-player-offseason-survey

I'd definitely agree with you on that, Durant showed how great he is last season, he is probably in his prime now and Lebron can't beat his team if they are playing healthy. The reason why they are the favorite to win the Championship next season and the Lakers are just behind them.

Lebron is an all-around player, but lately, it's Durant's impact on the floor that is more appealing to me.

This is also my personal opinion, we have a different opinions because we are biased since we vote based on our emotions.
2045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge gains and still holding ? on: August 20, 2021, 07:13:57 PM
If we earn quick profit like 40X in a short span one must book some profit and should not be greedy because I always believe good growth is always slow in the start, later on, can boom fast depends on the credibility/use-case or the activeness of the dev of the project. It's definitely greed when you are in huge profit and greed for more stopping you to book some profit and later on you do not book profit because you always feel it will rise but most of the time thing happened almost opposite but I don't say every time your coin will drop some can continue to rise even in case of top coins I believe they will grow as crypto market outreach grows. Greed is the root cause of all losses but in my opinion, if we talk about coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB we can go long with these coins as I feel these coins are like fixed deposits that will grow over time as these have huge potential to grow these are gems of the crypto market and many of the holders are holding for long and this is called patience, not greed.

Most of the people who lose that kind of opportunities are those who didn't set any plans for their investment,

once greed trgigered them out nothing that they can do but to keep holding and hoping that the price will keep

on rising, they will only realize that they've missed the chance once the price start to dumped back..
This thing happens to all of us not just in bitcoin investments but even in gambling activities. We will not try to stop ourselves from doing it unless we see ourselves start losing. Greed is something that should be controlled and i think that's the biggest enemy we have to fight so we will not end up losing such huge amount.

I think the best way to avoid being greedy is to set a target goal. We should know when to stop from hodling when our target prices have been met already and that we are making profits already. It's good not to be greedy than seeing our ourselves start to lose just because we still aim for higher profits.
2046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What hatred do people have for Bitcoin? on: August 20, 2021, 06:43:42 PM
Many people think Bitcoin is gambling, so they try to get into Bitcoin and they end up losing money. Finally they say Bitcoin is a SCAM and they hate it.
And that's the most reason I come across when people hate Bitcoin is Because they have lost a lot of money trading or investing Bitcoin. Even though for those who want to learn more about Bitcoin, I'm sure they will like Bitcoin.
I think its most likely that they once invested, trade or even gambling with bitcoin but unfortunately, they end up losing the game with a huge amount. They won't come up hating bitcoin if there's nothing had happened. Just like some other ordinary people who come to bitcoin thinking that it's a rich quick scheme and so even without proper research, they put their capital and eventually lose them.

I cannot blame those people who have to hate bitcoin because maybe that's what had bitcoin had caused him. We all have different experience anyways. But as for me, bitcoin has helped me in so many ways and so i had a positive experience on it. I have no reason to hate it but rather love it for what it is.
2047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 20, 2021, 01:34:55 PM

Great news for the followers of this sport, there's a delay but only a short delay, and what matters is the PBA will resume soon. We just have to watch the Pacquiao fight then we will focus on the news about the PBA.

The practice will also resume next week.

2048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: August 20, 2021, 12:48:50 PM
Just read this on social media and it seems that this tweet exchange of Tete and Inoue confirmed that this fight between Inoue and Casimero won't push through. Damn, Bob Arum is up to something and would not let his future cash cow's career be dented by Casimero  Smiley.

snip

So with the above statement of Inoue, i have to lock this thread for good in a few hours.

So it turns out that Bob Arum wont really let Inoue for him to fight Casimero. Is it that theyre afraid that Casimero would able to beat him? or they do really just letting the hype even more deeper to sale more tickets?

It seems that Inoue is really that interested but as long the management or promoter doesnt say so then he wont really have any choice but to deal with it.

That's why a lot of fighters leave under the promotion of Bob Arum because he wants to control the fighter and does not give them the fight that they want.  Manny Pacquiao's career is very successful because of Bob Arum but he has to left bob arum so he can fight anyone he likes and maybe that's the reason why he became the 8th division world champion. If Inoue would like to follow the footsteps of Manny Pacquiao he should always accept any challenges as long as it in his division, no excuses.
2049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will The Sorrow of BTC Be The Pleasure of Altcoins? on: August 19, 2021, 11:04:33 PM
The word "Alt-coin" should mean "Alternative Coins". And the word alternative in a layman's language should mean having an obvious option. Example, having an alternative plan means I can decide to use Plan B, most especially if plan A may not favour me at that time. Also, Coffee is an alternative to Tea, in this scenario, alternative is a choice and not a measure of importance. In a situation where an alternative is a choice, is therefore means that the Sorrow of one will be the pleasure of the alternative.

Relating this to cryptocurrency, if BTC who is the mother of Cryptocurrencies and who has gained extensive trust ceases to exist today, will altcoins flourish or will it make the people loose total interest in cryptocurrency.

if bitcoin has lost the trust of everyone then there are definitely no more cryptocurency users in the world. because bitcoin is the ICON of the world's cryptocurrency. Maybe many people don't know "altcoin" but everyone has heard the name "Bitcoin". so if bitcoin does not exist then cryptocurency will not exist.
There's no reason for altcoins to be in pleasure because once bitcoin loses its value, altcoins will definitely lose its value too. Yes, bitcoin is even more popular compared to altcoins and so people recognized bitcoin as the king of crypto while altcoins are only those coins used to become alternatives when they think bitcoin is not enough.

However, when the whole crypto market seems bullish because of bitcoin, eventually potential altcoins too will come up surging their prices. Only those altcoins with low potentials will remain undervalued.
2050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some individuals hostile to Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2021, 03:57:46 PM
For some time now I have constantly come across prominent individuals in society sponsoring hate speech against Bitcoin, most surprisedly These individuals either own traditional financial platforms such as banks and they are expected to be knowledgeable in investment and financial transactions and processes that seek to eliminate all the security challenges faced in the banking system through blockchain technology which give end-to-end encryption that guarantees a high level of security.

What are their motives could it be that they are just anti Bitcoin or attacking Bitcoin because it is a competitor that will soon push them out of business.

Unfortunately, the people that are hostile to BTC are also the ones who invested during the ATH of it on the last quarter of 2018 then proceeded to sell it when its price dropped on the first quarter of 2019. Mostly, these people blindly invest into it without doing their research. They just ride the 'hype train' without even knowing what they are investing on.

There will always be hostilities against something innovative. As an analogy, some people were hostile and against the creation of vaccines. They tend to believe what others say without even conducting proper research on their end.
There are really these people who are very hostile to bitcoin not because they don't know nothing about bitcoin, but because they are too confident investing in bitcoin that they tend to forgot the do's and dont's in bitcoin and made them become greedy so they end up losing their capital.

Perhaps the reason of their hostility is their unaccepted losses that until now they even hate bicoin more than they love it before. People like this should never engage into any kind of investment or else, they will keep on being mean on the reason of their defeat.
2051  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin investment on: August 19, 2021, 03:27:37 PM
For now, I think it's good to hold on. Buying BTC at this time is also good but tends to fall again in price. If you have made such a decision, then the advice I can give is not to hold BTC until the end of the year, just until October.
Market conditions for Bitcoin today improved by 1.72%, meaning it is still good.

As long as we don't really need money then long term hold is a good thing, I'm not sure october price will skyrocket again, usually price skyrocket is december, keep buying and holding is the best thing for bitcoin investment.
no one knows what will happen in october, the price could move up or down. but if you look at bitcoin price movements lately, most likely in October there will be no significant price changes. So I agree with you, holding bitcoin is the best option right now.
Hodling bitcoin for now might give an advantage rather than buying bitcoin with the present expensive price. It's best to stmart buying bitcoin when the price  was still cheap but with the current price, its more likely you are gambling your capital.

I think there's no wrong if you really want to invest in bitcoin today but think of it a hundred times. And the fact that your predicting a $100k within this year, it might possibly happen but not too fast. Bitcoin is very bullish this time but i'm really doubtful if it will hit that certain amount. So be careful and even cautious.

2052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most Bullish Altcoin of the moment on: August 19, 2021, 02:34:06 PM
I love Ethereum the best out of the best altcoins to buy now, but with the Ethereum price prediction on about $6200 for this year.  I can see the Ethereum news being positive for the remainder of the 2021 year and should see good things through the 2022 year as well. The price is very cheap right now and I don't think we can see this cheap price anymore in 2022.
In your opinion, maybe the price of Ethereum is still cheap, but some people still think it is expensive, because in the past the price of Ethereum was not as big as it is now and many people were still skeptical of Ethereum at that time.
As of this momet, ethereum hits the price of $3,052 so its definitely becoming expensive day by day. I think the latest hard fork has made ethereum very positive and if the surge keeps consistent, then its not surprising that we will end up reaching its new ATH before the year ends.

Although bitcoin is also very bullish this time, ethereum too will not be left behind. The movemet of  these two promising coins are very noticeable in the market and comes up with a realization that the price of ethereum will always follow bitcoin's price. If one coin comes up bullish, the next coin will be influenced too.
2053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is important on: August 19, 2021, 02:08:58 PM
Patience is one of the most important attributes of a good trader. When investing, you need to be patient enough to give your investment time to grow and yield rewards. But you don't just invest and be patient blindly, you also need to know when to take profits and also when to cut short your loses. They all go hand in hand in trading.
Being patient alone is not enough to be profitable in trading or investing. While waiting, you also need to think of other ways how you will still make profits even if the market is crashing temporarily. Or when you see the market isn't going on your side, stay calm and never do things in a rush. Most of them will only put you in the losing end.

It's also good to set your own target price when to sell. Once you are motivated with your investment, you'll never resort into panic selling because you know exactly your goal and how you will be able to achieve it. It's just a matter of focus and patience i think.
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be more effective in the future on: August 18, 2021, 10:23:04 PM
Bitcoin will be more effective in the future, because presently people who are more into cryptocurrency are the younger ones (18-50 years in age).
Bitcoin is currently not 15 years old, or exactly 12 years since its emergence in 2009, And maybe what you say is true. Currently, only a few people know Bitcoin, or it can be said that the younger generation knows Bitcoin.
And in a period of 50 to 100 years, it is certain that Bitcoin will be known by all humans on this earth, and that's when Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency will be really effective in their use.
Regardless of the people's ages, bitcoin is already effective when it comes to investing and trading. But since bitcoin will be more effective as a currency, then all ages of people should be more aware and inclined to it.

For now, we cannot expect this to happen as only few countries have been adopting it its still less effective. But as soon as the rest of the countries who put restriction in bitcoin at first, will create changes and so it may lead to a more useful usage of bitcoin. Although its hard for it to replace fiat, but bitcoin being a reserved currency is already a big achievement.
2055  Economy / Economics / Re: "Crypto is no longer in the early adoption stage" on: August 18, 2021, 09:51:38 PM
It's still in the early adoption stage because people treat it as a digital commodity, not a currency. And you go to any major 1st world country, most people will have heard of Bitcoin, but don't know how it operates nor use it. The few that do use it probably have some stored away as an investment, which isn't really the main function of Bitcoin.

This statement was given by someone that associates price with adoption.
For me, since bitcoin is already known worldwide so they are already aware on it, so we are done already with the first stage. Next is application. I think this time people should still be more educated about bitcoin and cryptocurrency so they can use it based on their function and not just merely as an investment.

But knowing the fact that the government is not even supporting it, i think it will take time before bitcoin becomes a reserved currency. Although there are already some countries who are making it as currency and becomes even a legal tender.
2056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 18, 2021, 09:41:34 PM
Donaire is already in His late years meaning improvements are far from happening if he will be facing Inoue as the japanese boxer is too young and has a lot of future while Nonito is nearing retirement .
although you have a point that he is already old and would probably have a hard improving but seeing his recent performance I'd say he has improved a lot and have a chance of winning against Inoue. but then again this is just my opinion.

Donaire had some trouble with fighters who move well on the floor, just like what we saw in his fight against Rigo and Inoue, he loses in the fight. We were just hype because he KO an opponent which not really at par with Inoue and Rigo, but still this rematch is quite interesting so let's see if this time he will shock the world or maybe he will not be able to survive anymore.
Power is just one on taking down on an opponent but that wont really be that effective if the opponent is way too moving or really have some good footwork and who do know on how to move.

I had that kind of observation too when it comes on how they do move well and he had really some hard time on taking effective heavy blows or counter punches.
Each boxer does have their own style and Rigo is included into those who do really love running.  Cheesy

Donaire does not throw a lot of punches, he is just looking for good timing to counter and if he hurt his opponent, that's when he attacks aggressively. We saw Inoue struggled in the first few rounds of their fight, but he adjusted, and eventually, Donaire was gas out as he cannot take down an opponent that he usually does when he hit them with clean shots.

That's his style, that's why he can't go up in weight because if he can't KO his opponent, he will be the one that will be KO or will lose in the decision.

as we can see in his record, (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/48243), most of his wins are via KO, and since he is not getting any younger, he might just be gas out if the fight will last longer.
2057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: August 18, 2021, 09:23:11 PM
Find the audience for your game then make them to be addicted and then make money out of it that is their strategy and its one of its kind, people who are obsessed with that game will go for it no matter what and certainly it is expensive and high risk than compared with a casino where we have lot of choices.
^ I think it will always depend on the users, there are some people who only want to play the game not to gamble. For others, also want to gamble not to play. I don't think if underage will be able to become addicted to gambling in such game, they don't have money to support that kind of activity at the first place and most likely those young teenagers are like more having fun than looking for money online and gamble, they are dependent to their parents when it comes to the financial aspect so I don't think they will able to survive gambling if they want to.
They will not survive if they just rely on the allowance, but addiction will make them do everything and they'll find a way to gamble, and it might result for them stealing money which is not good. That's why prevention is always better than cure, so as a parent, we should monitor our children as they are minors, weak and easily get addicted, whatever happen to them, nothing to be blame by us.
There's no other person to be blamed but only you as a parent but not totally because there are really some decisions which cant really be handled out by parents but totally in self will.

This is why its better to give out some awareness and let them realize that gambling is never been a good thing specially on young minds. It will just create or mold something which would

really be a big problem in the future. As a kid or a son then you shouldnt really be that too hasty on dealing up with things which is connected to gambling.

There's a reason why casinos would only allow you to gamble if you are already at the right age, though they say if you have money to lose, you are welcome, they also have a responsibility to ensure that they'll follow the guidelines from the regulators and that is not to allow minors to gamble.

With the advent of crypto, it has become easy for minors to access, a simple game may lead to serious gambling and since crypto casinos are not fully regulated, there's a big risk that their children will be hook if without guidance.
2058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven? on: August 18, 2021, 05:44:43 PM
To be honest, after Elon Musk withdrew a significant part of bitcoin from his turnover, and then bitcoin crashed, I really started to worry about my bills.d
No need to worry mate. But I understand your concern because it happened so fast because of the panic of all bitcoin holders. But I believe bitcoin is one of the safest coins for me to invest. And it's true, now btc has bounced back.
Bitcoin is definitely a life changing for me so i agree that bitcoin is a safe haven. I think others may see it not a safe haven because of the government negative views on bitcoin and cryptocurrency for now. But if the government starts to welcome and support bitcoin in the future, those people who never see bitcoin as a safe haven will eventually change their perception too towards bitcoin.

I think it's just a matter of time. As soon as everyone gets educated on bitcoin, things will definitely favor into bitcoin being a good currency and a profitable investment.
2059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to distinguish scam? on: August 18, 2021, 05:12:10 PM
Some scams are obvious and some scams are not intended to be scams until the project fails. There is no way to predict whether legitimate projects will fail and end up scamming its members. The ones which are clear scams usually do not put much effort into their websites or plagiarize. Before investing in any project I recommend running their whitepaper through a plagiarism checker and see if there are any matches. If there is a match then they are probably not a legitimate project and will try to scam.
Scam projects are sometimes too good to be true. If you think the project has definitely the best things to offer even without much effort to do, then be aware of that because most of them fall into scams.

However, a legit project needs enough funds for its promotion and development so its very impossible to land into a reliable project nearly zero cost. If you want a good outcome for your investment, then start taking risk. After all, investments are sometimes seem to become gambling especially if you have less knowledge on the project you invested.
2060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is not a rival of Bitcoin on: August 17, 2021, 11:47:04 PM
The comparison of the value of etherum and bitcoin is very far, the price of one BTC is $ 45,975 and one Etherum is $ 3,152 (15 August 2021, 16:53:00). Etherum is far behind BTC, although Etherum’s current popularity is great, unfortunately Etherum still can’t be the first in the market. what do you think?
I think we have to stop thinking about that because no matter how many ups that ETH has been made, it was impossible and never be the first in the market. Bitcoin is Bitcoin and known as the king of crypto, ETH is just an altcoin. If we think deeply, this could never happen and besides, they have a different purpose in the market and so no reason they've got into the competition. Price was just how it value in the market, but it is not our basis that a coin could be the first, 2nd, or the last one.
