How does the cost of ISP benefit creator of the Blueray though ?
How does the cost of a blank CD benefit the musicians that get a 'tax' from it ?......ARE YOU KIDDING ?
2082  Other / Off-topic / Re: Piracy on: November 06, 2011, 07:12:29 PM
Perhaps it's time for our ISPs to dish out a few $$ back to the Establishment...similar to the Blank CD Tax ? (without raising our already high prices in the process.....lol)

Piracy, although free in concept, can in fact cost quite a bit to the person benefitting from it.

I personally pay about $150/month for a 100Mbit Unlimited Bandwidth/Unmonitored Internet Account, so even though it affords me the luxury of a few 1080p Bluray Rips per day......how are they FREE in the end ?

Can you make o joke, sing a song or entertain us somehow ... ?
If he does, can we make copies of the performance ?

Oh Oh....it just got really quiet in here as all my fans spin down....lol

<EDIT>
...and 10 seconds later, it's LOUD again....hehe

Awesome security features. I am using both.
2086  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1200 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz) on: November 04, 2011, 02:35:17 AM
really cgminer eh.  I use windows so I don't have to go to the command line.  All those tools are nice to have in one place, but its not like I don't have them with various gui's already.  Why go back to the dark ages and use a cli.
Because it does everything....

Those are decent payouts. What is your GH/s mining rate ?
2088  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [235 GH/s] ABCPool.co - 0% fee PPS - Here to stay! on: November 04, 2011, 02:06:10 AM
It is not an easy password. The address is not changed in the control panel.
Well, looks like the pool OP owes you 25 BTC Wink
2089  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [235 GH/s] ABCPool.co - 0% fee PPS - Here to stay! on: November 04, 2011, 02:03:21 AM
It is the address with which I registered and it is the actual address from the control panel. I did not change anything. They sent the payment to the wrong address.
Looks like someone got access to your account and changed your wallet address. Do you have a weak password ? or does this have to do with teh fact that ABC does not have https setup and someone just packaet sniffed all they needed..... ?

Look in your control panel and see what the address is now, as your default. Did they change it back to your old one ?
2090  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [235 GH/s] ABCPool.co - 0% fee PPS - Here to stay! on: November 04, 2011, 01:57:22 AM
Hello there,

There is a problem with the automatic payment.
I had an automatic payment of 25 bitcoins which went to a different address which is not mine.

Please advise!
Did they (the BTC) go to the address in your control panel ?

Anyways, consider them LOST FOREVER.....that's a sad fact about Bitcoin.

Why would you do a 25 BTC tranfer on an untested setup ? I always go a .5 BTC or less as my first transfer from a pool to ensure that it gets to where it needs to go, before I wait and transfer larger amounts.

Sorry about your luck......that is, if you ended up sending it to the wrong address.

If you had the correct address in your control panel and it was the Pool's fault, I would expect a 100% refund or some sort of compensation (again, 100% worth) from the Pool OP.

If you made the mistake, consider it an $80 lesson Wink

Once you learn how to use cgminer I guarantee* you won't ever use anything else.
That is so true and more people find that fact out each and every day, only to wonder why they hadn't made the switch to CGMiner earlier...
2092  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Polemine-Non-payment-bad statistics-mining namecoins & not crediting miners on: November 03, 2011, 09:35:06 PM
Which reward system do they use ? Could this simply be the blocks catching up and the pool still owing miners for shares ?

I believe.....
...and that's the great thing about belief. You don't have to be correct or even have a clue while trying to convince yourself of something.

Throw one of these in a PCI slot (or fill as many PCI solts as you like), use a regular mining-suited PCIe card and call it a day.
2095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What effect will changing the block size from 32 to 5 have on SC? on: November 03, 2011, 09:42:06 AM
Second it is a shame because staff members should not be participating in questionable at best petty vendetta wars on the forum, they should be removing straight up validated lies such as what you just posted and much of the garbage that you and some others out here spew, caught 2 of you idiots out here in flat out lies, and 1 even provided her own proof that she was lying.

This is after all, Bitcointalk.org isn't it ?

Considering the circumstances and the 'other forums' out there and how dissension is handled by The Leader, would you rather:

a) Have the Bitcointalk Mods 'get in' on a little alternate crypto-currency banter ?
or..
b) Simply kick-ban who they deemed a threat to <insert RealSolid's excuses here>..... ?

I still don't understand how a crypto-currency that was created to serve the interests of a single person.....and continue to with almost the blessing of it's users while they support it, could have so many loyal followers considering the blatant greed on the part of The Leader and the transparency under which it all takes place.

Some of you guys actually think that CH/RS is doing you all a favor or something.

.....completely messed up.
2096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stolen Bitcoin code on: November 03, 2011, 09:19:49 AM
If you use a gpl project, your project must be gpl too.
You can choose to keep your contributions under alternate licencing. Only the original GPL code that is used stays GPL if used and must be ackowledged as such.
Like building a proprietary/end user licensed front end on GPL framework.....it happens every day.
2097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: namecoin are low, why? on: November 03, 2011, 09:14:33 AM
Also the value of namecoin is not THAT important anyway, what is important is that NMC miners keep the DNS working.
...and in turn, adds strength to the BTC, who's powerful network it (NMC) gets a free mining ride on Wink
2098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tracking Places that Accept Alternate Cryptocurrencies for Payment on: November 03, 2011, 09:10:59 AM
With the current market, to use anything other than BTC would be about as pathetic as using Pesos or Yen.

The thought of paying millions of any bottom-end crypto-currency is just rediculous when when tens (or worst case scenario, hundreds) of BTCs could be used in their place.

Everyone wants to be an early adopter and continues to PRAY for a BTC-like 'Silk Road' summer 2011 'bubble'.......GIVE IT UP.
2099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin v2.01 Released on: November 03, 2011, 09:03:21 AM
Now that the source is out, can someone from the BTC community write a bad-ass GPU miner for this thing already so that we can pump/dump and collapse it once and for all ?

Solidcoin 3 ----> Ready for the collapse of Solidcoin 2.1
('cause let's face it, SC 2.0 was closed source with hidden goodies that served the interests of the creator only.....LOL)

In progress from two people I know of.

I have an inside hunch as soon as ArtForz finishes the one he is working on, all hell is going to break loose!

I will gladly give up BTC mining and GPU mine-the-shit out of SC's.... if only to devalue the millions currently owned by <insert 'The Leaders' current bitcointalk.org forum nick this week>

The sooner it happens, the sooner we can all expect to see SC3.....1 miner, 1 owner, 1 developer, 1 local network.....1 SC3 BILLIONAIRE.....LMAO

Na na, na na, na na, na na, Na na, na na, na na, na na....LEADER ! (Simpson's fans will get it....lol)

Future Solidcoin Conference.....
