1141  Other / Meta / Re: Disallow locking of threads on: June 15, 2012, 11:07:52 PM
How else can Forum Cry-Babies 'Hit-n-Run' without being able to lock a thread after getting in (what they perceive as being) the LAST word ?

Thread Locking shows who squats to pee and who can actually maintain civil communication without meltdowns, resulting in running away.
1142  Other / Meta / MOD Enforced Marketplace Rules on: June 15, 2012, 11:05:16 PM
As with every other forum on the planet that has a marketplace, we need to adopt a few simple 'Marketplace New Thread Creation' stipulations/conditions that when/if not met, result in a Deleted Thread.

...Rule #1 being:

LIST WHERE YOU ARE SHIPPING FROM OR WHERE YOU ARE FROM

/end
1143  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Intel Atom 330 Dual Core Twin-1U Rackmount Servers on: June 15, 2012, 11:01:51 PM
Where are you shipping from ?
1144  Other / Off-topic / Re: PirateFly Labs or Butter@40 - You be the judge on: June 15, 2012, 10:29:51 PM
Bitlane you have no idea how many people hate you
I am sure I can venture a guess...

......another kid complaining!

I'm an OLD MAN ....LMAO

We were all waiting for ASIC announcement today....

Great....another product that they will fail miserably at delivering in a timely fashion....

On a side note....

I will be selling 'Custom Tested' Radeon 7970s for $300 USD each (10 14 Week delivery shipping-date from date of payment receipt)
1145  Other / Off-topic / Re: PirateFly Labs or Butter@40 - You be the judge on: June 15, 2012, 10:23:22 PM
* ckolivas hugs his 7970s
..and I am hugging mine as well.
15x 7970's, 4 days from pay to mine and I couldn't be happier with my last farm overhaul.

They didn't want my money THEN and they don't want it now, as I am a 'small fry' in the grand scheme of things....lol

It's Mini-Rigs or nothing now....and dreams of ASICs. BFL = Great at PR, terrible at delivery.

I feel less and less bad as each day passes, for the countless public beating(s) they all took when they first joined this forum and announced the Single in the first place.

Hate me if you want for using this thread for an advertisement but at BTCFPGA.com we GUARANTEE 2-4 week delivery time and if your unit does not ship by that fourth week we give you a 9% discount which can be refunded in BTC, credited back to your Credit/Debit card or used as a discount on a future model.

Nope. No Hate here....At least you guys have a SHIPPING TIME guarantee and hold yourselves accountable with a partial refund offer.....this is the best place TO advertise your units.
1146  Other / Off-topic / PirateFly Labs or Butter@40 - You be the judge on: June 15, 2012, 10:05:01 PM
So, 'doing the rounds' as I tend to do monthly, I decided to get back in touch with Butterfly Labs in regards to possibly ordering 10 Singles.
To my HORROR (and dismay) I was quoted a 'fair' shipping estimate of 10 weeks from time of Payment receipt.

ARE THEY FUCKING SERIOUS ? STILL ?

Short of sending them a reply to the email that I received (that I pray could explode hot-acid onto the face of the person reading it) I decided to 'run a few numbers'.....

Let's call BTC a $6 shoe-in currently, or better yet, let's call a BFL Single a 100 BTC proposition.

They want 1,000 of my BTC for 10 weeks, even THEN with no promise of delivery ?
We all know that if BFL quotes 10, then it must be more like 14-16 weeks realistically.

So, let's call it 10. 10 Weeks, with me starving my BTCST Account of 1,000 BTC.
During those 10 weeks, that 1,000 BTC stands to generate 56 BTC (on the first week) per week+ at medium interest (5.6%.....and of course, I would simply let it compound).

So, Week#1 of my 1,000 BTC generating 56 BTC profit, leads all the way up to week#10, at which time the initial 1,000 BTC would be worth just shy of 1,750 BTC.

With THAT in mind, I have to ask....

Does ButterFly Labs have a Pirate Savings Account that they leverage as part of their Business Profit Model ?
(along with mining for 10 weeks with the proposed 10 Singles, generating an additional 35-odd BTC per week on 8,500MH/s, while the 10 units are being 'tested')

So, to summarize:

- 10 BFL Singles @ 1,000 BTC
- 10 Week Pirate Savings Investment @ 5.6% Weekly = 1,750 BTC
- Additional 350 BTC Mined while units are 'burned-in' (8,500 MH/s 10 Week PPS estimate)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2,100 BTC / 10 = 210 BTC Per Unit, Delivered.
1147  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 15, 2012, 07:04:38 PM
It looks like the Bitcoinica Consultancy will make a profit after all.

Covering a whole 50% of the so-called 20%-of-total loss should creep just far enough into their bottom line (profits) to make them look like Saints in the end, while 'giving something back' to all of their customers (better than nothing, right ?).

How the people at the top of the Bitcoinica Food Chain have been able to (up to this point) evade Litigation, Incarceration, a Mob 'Hit' or any type of 'personal call' that would demand some sort of face-to-face accountability, is far beyond me.

They somehow seem to have a 'knack' for survival on all fronts.
1148  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing the ModMiner Quad 840Mhash @ 40 Watts http://www.BTCFPGA.com on: June 15, 2012, 02:50:22 AM
Sorry for the crappy Windows Paint attempt at what I was trying to say...LOL

At least you understood what I meant.

Everything answered perfectly...

yes and if anyone wants to request the old-style passive coolers instead of the new fans I would be happy to oblige

and to answer your question these new fans are practically silent

Perhaps next time, I will start out with a less abrasive sounding question...LOL
1149  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing the ModMiner Quad 840Mhash @ 40 Watts http://www.BTCFPGA.com on: June 15, 2012, 02:26:30 AM
....and we are back on track. New design.

Is there enough space between the cards to mount the old-style passive coolers ? (to use in conjunction with a 120mm side-blowing fan) or are the new fans recommended ?

(to run this type of setup with multiple units, sandwiching fans)

kinda like this....you get the idea though....

Are the new fans fairly quiet ?
1150  Economy / Lending / Re: 1-10 mil usd BTC loan request on: June 14, 2012, 10:53:12 PM
With the outstanding balance of your previous 60 BTC loan still looming overhead and this 'situation' that no one seems to know anything about, yet you use it as an excuse as per your tardiness in payback of the previous loan, I simply can not risk more than 10,000 BTC to invest with you currently.

Where can I send the funds ?
1151  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7970 GPU/MEM Combinations on: June 14, 2012, 09:26:41 PM
Correct. I am using AfterBurner for Memory and Voltage Control, then setting the final GPU clock when launching CGMiner from my bat file.

With this, I can adjust the GPU clocks to anything I want without disrupting the memory clock and having the values revert back to 150Mhz Mem-Diff as well. The memory stays at what I initially set it using AB, even though I change GPU clocks in CGMiner on the fly.
1152  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing the ModMiner Quad 840Mhash @ 40 Watts http://www.BTCFPGA.com on: June 14, 2012, 06:17:04 PM
I think I officially just shed a tear or 2 once I saw this re-design....I really liked the idea of using a single 120mm fan on the side of a 'stack' or similar....using the previous design/model.

1153  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA development board "Lancelot" - official discussion thread. on: June 14, 2012, 05:27:11 PM
i will update these information after i can confirm. thanks.  Smiley

Thanks very much.

The future of my mining operation is hinging on the release of Lancelot...lol

I am praying nightly for $500 @ $1/MH/s @ 25W
....as I am certain I am not the only one in touch with God currently in regards to this.
If God is unwilling to answer my prayers, I will have no choice but to contact Satan.

1156  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [208 Gh] MtRed (PPS, LP+, API, 0 FEE) Merged Mining Test LIVE on: June 14, 2012, 07:50:46 AM
Is there a SECRET Proportional payout section for the pool that I do not have a login or link for ?

Why does the hash rate for the pool INCREASE dramatically at the beginning of every new block ?

I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that people aren't hopping to get the most out of NMC mining...so what's the deal ? This pool IS PPS, isn't it ?
1157  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 7970 GPU/MEM Combinations on: June 14, 2012, 07:48:11 AM
Well, it's all about trial and error....and each time, I either get closer to that magical combination, or further away.

I am now trying 990/180 on my 7970s (Win7 x64, CGMiner 2.4.2). Please share your results.

1160  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1397 GH] BTC Guild - Pure PPS Merged Mining, Port 80 Mining, No Invalid Blocks on: June 14, 2012, 02:50:32 AM
I am getting alot of Get & Send Work connection errors as of late using btcguild.com:8332 as my Primary pool.

In Western Canada, would it be better for me to use either mine2.btcguild.com:8332  ...or...  mine3.btcguild.com:8332  for my PRIMARY POOL instead ?

I normally use a setup like this in CGMiner, using BTCGuild mine2 and mine3 as backup pools to regular btcguild.com:8332 as my primary:

PRIMARY: btcguild.com:8332
POOL #2: mine3.btcguild.com:8332
POOL #3: mine3.btcguild.com:8332
POOL #4: Localhost/Solo Mining Server
