How can I get my account to the level where I can actually reply on a thread?

You can start by reading the forum rules. After that, read through the Loans section and head straight for the Scam section. If you do this, you will probably not hit up the Loan section.
2522  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 0.2 BTC Loan to be paid back within two days 0.25 on: February 22, 2014, 02:30:36 AM
Then all you need is to place collateral.

ID isn't collateral. It will need to be something of equal or greater value that is placed in escrow until the loan is paid off. This must be done before any funds are transferred.

I think there is no Boinc project that use sha256 and i think asic miners are useless with boinc

If someone could pull it off that would open a whole new market.
2524  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What else can you do with mining hardware? on: February 21, 2014, 10:28:54 PM
You can run BOINC on it.

Yep!

any kind of information can be transferred upon investors request

Didn't like getting flagged for non-payment on your other post?

You have a negative trust rating here, an unimpressive one @ btcjam, and no mention of collateral, how much you're looking for, or what it's for.

BE VERY CAREFUL HERE, LENDERS!

after I got that rating i payed off my other offers on btcjam and the rating i got was because i have multiple loans out, i don't see nothing wrong with that as long as i pay them on tim !!!WHICH I DO!!! I  don't see why i can't get another?

2526  Economy / Lending / Re: Requirements for BTC Loan on: February 21, 2014, 01:24:32 AM
Standard procedure for obtaining a loan is as follows:
  • Request loan for x amount
  • Provide adequate collateral to lender
  • Receive loan
  • Pay back loan
  • Get your collateral back
Note: The above type of loans are exceedingly rare.

If you manage to obtain a loan without collateral, standard procedure is as follows:
  • Obtain loan
  • Log out of your forum account
  • Create a new forum account and never log into the previous one again

LOL

The other option would be exactly like the second except that the lender would take the collateral and gtfo with it.

That where the third party escrow comes into play.
2527  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 20 BTC for Investment. Will pay 30 BTC back within 10 Months! on: February 20, 2014, 05:56:11 PM
Hello.

I'm in need of 20 BTC to invest into a mining farm. As the rewards are expected to be high i'm willing to pay back the loan with 150% interest within 10 months. Estimated Hashrate is ~ 1.6 TH/s.

If you are interested please PM for details!

regards,
j

One way to guarantee that nobody gets ripped off is if the lender buys the mining farm himself, then mines out 150% worth of interest in 10 months. After the lender has made his profit, he packs up the mining farm and sends it to you for free.

That way he gets the 150% you promised, and you get your equipment.
That wouldn't work. That would mean the Borrower gets free Equipment with no money out of his pocket? Hell i'll take that deal Smiley

By the time he mines to pay off the equipment, (if it reaches ROI), will it have any real value?

It does not matter if its not owned by government well actually thats better because you will not be actually in court aganst government but against private owner. If site owner have his own rules it does not mean that law is on his side in full. I can state on my website that every material I publish on my website is my property and I can put there any material even if I did not made it. Does that statement actually make me the owner of that material? I doubt so. The statement that owner of site can make any rules and users must be playing by them does not mean it actually is right by the real rules made bu government. You didnt catched my point I am not against bitcointalk or whatever but this may cause troubles in the future.

Again, put your money where your mouth is and start the process.

Maybe but if you have a good lawyer it is possible to win.

Talk is so cheap and you aren't the only one that has spouted off to intimidate with "lawyer" tactics. I say get a lawyer, spend tons of money and we will watch you go down in flames. It will fun entertainment! When is the blessed event going to take place? Maybe we should get a pool together, place a few bets.  Cool

I am not telling that I want to delete I am saying that if you have a good lawyer you can win in this case. So please read first. This forum is about money and some people here have money to spend fortune just to have a fun and make bitcointalk to actually do what they want. Government is not so keen about bitcoin so I think they will be more on the user side.

I read first, and through all the laughing, replied. Sorry to burst your bubble but hiring a good lawyer won't guarantee you success. Laws vary from state to state and country to country. You don't understand this forum isn't a government owned website. You play by the owners rules or be gone. It really is that simple.
We await your lawyers arrival, let the odds commence.  Roll Eyes Grin

Edit for humor:

Yes, I just registered to this forum as I thought this might be a good way to find an investor.
I have no intentions to scam people. I will also provide any ways to prove my identity. If I would have collateral worth 20 BTC I wouldn't be in need of a loan.

ID and an internet promise won't cut it. And by the same token, why would I lend you the coins when I could just buy the equipment, mine and keep ALL the profits? Doesn't make any sense either.
Your best bet is to sell everything you can, ask friends and family, car title loan or bank personal loan. Of course, these loan places WILL go after you if you default.

2534  Economy / Lending / Re: .4 BTC Loan to be repaid in 2 weeks on: February 19, 2014, 08:12:51 PM
Could maybe help, but would need the collateral sent just in case.

Know of any good escrow services?

If I'm sending .4 btc, I want possession of laptop, in case you don't pay it back.

Because you are new, you need to include a third party escrow to hold any collateral.

Then the third party can put up the btc.

I might be new, but I've been doin business for over 25 years.

And I'm filthy rich with a 12" schlong. You are new, have no trust and could walk off with the collateral anytime between the loan and repayment WITH the repayment AND collateral.

Well, like I said, the third party can put up the btc, and hold the collateral.  Not a chance I put up my btc, and STILL not have collateral to back it up.  Just because someone has been around a long time, does not mean that they are honest.  Not implying you aren't, but it is a fact.

I made the man an offer, he refused it through you.  No huge deal.  It hurts me none, and hurts him none.

By the way....nice schlong Smiley  And since you are filthy rich, you should help this guy with his loan.  Free money, right?

If I chose to loan I would use a third party escrow to hold the collateral.

2537  Other / Meta / Re: prohibit self-moderated groub buy sale topics on: February 19, 2014, 05:43:17 PM
You should always err on the side of caution on any purchases made here. If you have any reservations the time to act is before you send any BTC not after. All too often you see people jumping the gun because they think the deal might not last or they want to get in line quickly.

Some forum rules won't save you from yourselves.

I had to refund an order for two "live baby unicorns" when I did the original UnicornHasher stunt.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412586.0

This sorta proves that forum users will literally pay for anything without research.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

2539  Economy / Lending / Re: 1.5BTC loan, repay 1.65BTC this Thursday, Feb 20th on: February 17, 2014, 11:49:04 PM
Hi all. I have a pending buy at Coinbase for 1.5BTC that will be in my account this Thursday, Feb 20th.

I'm taking a risk by purchasing some mtgox btc from a user that wants to unload a few. I could wait until Thursday, but I believe the landscape will be much different by then.

I can verify any and all information requested, and am open to suggestions if you're interested in loaning.

Without offering collateral you're better off waiting.
