1701  Economy / Lending / Re: Can I get a loan as a newbie? I need $100 worth of BTC on: November 03, 2014, 10:52:16 PM
Hi there
I was wondering how I can get a loan without a collateral. I heard providing ID is possible ? I'm looking for $100 worth of bitcoin load in a time span of two weeks.

I would venture to say you heard wrong. Not much anyone can do with your ID if you default. Collateral is key here.
1702  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] Paypal [W] BTC on: November 03, 2014, 01:10:57 PM
Looking to buy .68 BTC for Paypal. I'm a verified member of Paypal as well. Thank you.

And how will you guarantee you won't charge back a month or so from the time of the purchase?
1703  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] $44 Paypal [W] Bitcoins on: November 03, 2014, 04:57:08 AM
Hi I have a verified paypal, have rep on steam, and am looking to buy $44 dollars worth of bitcoins. If you are a trusted seller I will go first.

Edit: I'm marked as a scammer by Vod for some reason. I messaged him about it but he didn't respond. I've actually never done any trades here before

Are you willing to wait out the 180 day period with Paypal with funds in escrow?

Um, no I'm just looking for a simple paypal btc transaction thanks

You do realize Paypal can be reversed for 180 days or so after the payment?

I'm sending as a gift, you can't exactly charge back that without a credit card (but I'm using paypal balance).

Yes you can.

Look if you're not interested you don't have to reply anymore. I'd rather not spend more of my time arguing about this.

You keep arguing Paypal can't be charged back when sent as gift. With a balance or not, it can and you are wrong. Basically you are spreading a fallacy. Please stop.

Never have I said that paypal can't be charged back when sent as a gift. I'm saying I would not be able to chargeback because I'm not using my credit card. You can't open a dispute when a payment is sent as a gift, did you know that?

You are plain wrong. Anyone can claim a hacked account and another reversal is born. Stop with the FUD already.

If paypal accounts are ACTUALLY hacked, there is a high chance the account will be limited. After all, Paypal can check the IP history. You're telling me you can claim you got hacked when 1. your ip is the same and 2. your account is not limited

I am absolutely positive paypal can check your IP to see if a hacking actually

Ever heard of TOR or a burner account?  Roll Eyes Now you're getting plain silly. A simple search through the Scam section will show how wrong you are.

1709  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Confirmation on Anush3070 "The Biggest Scammer" on: November 02, 2014, 02:27:16 AM
Those logs in that format are pretty useless for proof. Easily edited to say whatever and I don't bother to read them anymore. You need to post more concrete proof.
1710  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Paypal scam - User olucun cheated me on: November 02, 2014, 02:21:33 AM
So i assume you sent funds as a gift so you can't charge back? Anyway it's not a good idea at all to use PP for digital currencies...sorry to hear that.

He could if he went the "hacked account" route. If it was funded via CC, the same could happen.
1711  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Marcchernandez scammed me for $500.00 on: November 02, 2014, 02:06:15 AM
Why would you not use escrow for such a large transaction? $500 works out to over 1.5 BTC and this is much too large to "trust" someone with.

Small figure...was not concerned about such a minuscule amount.

1712  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: New to bitcoin looking to buy small amount by paypal on: November 01, 2014, 02:53:56 PM
Escrow will do NOTHING when using Paypal, I don't know how many times it has to be said and proven.  Huh

Escrow doesn't protect the seller of BTC. It protects the buyer / the person sending the paypal payment. If you're going to sell for paypal, why not use escrow? It's not like them sending first will prevent a chargeback.

Better off staying away from paypal unless both parties can be trusted. 99% of the people selling BTC to new accounts for paypal are going to scam by not sending the BTC after receiving payment.

Because it's a double protection for the buyer using Paypal, the seller can still be scammed. It really defeats the purpose of escrow where both buyer and seller have some protection.  So I say again, escrow is worthless where Paypal is involved.

1715  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering loans on: October 30, 2014, 04:33:14 AM
Collateral should be send to a third party escrow.

You could do that if you want but I get to pick the escrow.

Escrow insures there isn't a collateral scam and what does the escrow matter as long as they are reputable?
Good luck!

If its an escrow I've used in the past it just makes me feel more confident that I'll receive my BTC (or Collateral) at the end of the loan.

I understand what you are saying but if you wanted "AceFartkn0cker" to be the escrow, well, I would have to pass. Escrow really should be agreed on.

I buying 50 USD  worth BTC via paypal (veriefed)at bitstamp USD prices.
available in small portions.

I can go first with members with more trust than me but others will have to go first or use escrow.

Thanks

Explain to me how exactly will escrow help in this case? You do realize Paypal can be reversed many months later?
I do know how, but  I can send as for friend and can't claim paypal to dispute

Yes it can.
1718  Economy / Services / Re: Cainy's BTC Escrow Service. on: October 29, 2014, 09:39:38 PM
Hey, my name's Cainy. I've been a member here for a while but haven't been too active in recent months. I've decided to come back and start up an escrow service to get myself involved again.

Obviously since I'm new to this I don't have anyone to vouch for my services but a few people will be able to confirm I am a genuine member and I've written a couple posts about programming and such in the past. I did a reasonably comprehensive guide to CPU mining DogeCoins when they first came about after I found the process a little confusing myself to begin with, for example.

Down to business:

To begin with I will charge no fees in order to establish my legitimacy. This is only an introductory offer and I intend to charge 1% for standard transactions once I get started.

Any security requests such as multi-sig or offline wallets, I am happy to oblige to.

Please feel free to comment with any questions/requests. If I escrow for you I'd appreciate some feedback here too to let people know. Tips are also welcome, my tipping address is 1CainyGGK2yeA7Niwps8z3xj3n4iUdkHXW.

I also deal with DogeCoin and a few other coins, feel free to ask!

Have a nice day!

Well, I think this is a bad idea in light of you having no referenced transactions and little activity. I would suggest you spend more time in the community before trying to escrow.

^^ Particularly since they implemented the extended reversal, which is significantly longer than the previous length of time, although I can't remember off the top of my head the exact number of days.

I believe they matched credit card with 180 days. IIRC
