I like it, 99.182% return is 0.818% stupid tax, the best that I've heard of so far, gave it a try & lost 1 + 1+ 1+ 2 + 3 = 8 BTC on the <24000 36.62% game, oh well maybe I'll be lucky in love then instead  Wink
2682  Economy / Gambling / Re: [RAFFLE] Butterfly Labs Bitforce Single ~$600 - 6 days left! on: May 04, 2012, 04:31:46 PM
... Tickets have been purchased so far. What are you going to do with your new BFL single?

Well obviously I'm going to raffle it away the moment that it arrives, you've sold 1,200 tickets so 300 BTC minus say 10% discount on average = 270 * $5.15 = $1,390 & that's plenty for 2 brand new Singles with shipping plus plenty more left over once this finishes, beats mining with it but even at these poor odds I'm going in now for a block of 60 tickets for myself & a friend - I must be crazy but I'm having a good week  so WTH

& don't forget that one ebil genius (myself) could destroy Btca plus all who sail in her's funds at anytime instantly, it just needs $1.6M atm to jump the price up to $20 & Btca is history, now crowd sourcing the funds for vicious bear traps after in a language you probably don't know just for the lulz & the profit too   Wink
You obviously have an active fantasy life, how's the weather in your mom's basement?

It's fine thanks, just the right humidity & temperature, we prefer to call it the wine cellar btw, or simply la cave Tongue

What is useless about it?  Pretty standard merchant account terms.

Ah sry, I don't use any of them so I was just comparing it with Bitcoin merchant's services like BitPay

2686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Google checkout service on: May 04, 2012, 10:33:50 AM
I signed up for Google's checkout service (merchant's cart) when it started on the off chance that it might be useful some day but have never had occasion to use it & certainly won't now, it looks even more useless than PayPal, today I received this update from them:

Google checkout
Hello Otoh,

Thank you for using Google Checkout to process your orders. We're pleased to inform you that we've transitioned your account from the new merchant payout schedule to the standard payout schedule.

Your payouts will now be initiated two business days after you successfully charge an order. Please keep in mind that your bank may take up to three additional business days to register the payout in your account. Additionally, Google doesn't initiate payouts on weekends or banking holidays. For example, if you charge an order on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, your payout will be initiated on Monday. If Monday is a banking holiday, your payout will be initiated on Tuesday.

To learn more about Google Checkout's payout schedule, please visit our merchant help center.

Unbelievable, post on the Newbies Give away/request free bitcoins here! thread to try & give away 2 BTC for a miniscule amount of effort & the result is FA, except for GR who made it clear just how much better this was than the measly 0.02 or whatever Satoshis you all stuck your hands out for & I even extended the offer twice for 24 hrs - wtf are you all bots or something?

Anyway, game over, no more extensions, no more random Newbies - sry, so 1.1 BTC just sent to the only participant GR who gets an A+++ on this, got a life or cretin test, whilst you all don't even get a grade as you couldn't even get your lazy arses in to here's some free money come & get it mode on the give away free bitcoins thread that you asked on

https://blockchain.info/tx-index/4724666/440c2425cb61fd9c212b545a29882d0755b1ba77c1a2f93cd8e32afe0b3d96d1

Just in case ILC is also some zombie/bot - PM me within the next 24 hours if you'd like your half share = 1.1 BTC & I'll send it, otherwise I'll reenter it in to next month's BitLotto - see my sig, yes 0.25 BTC can win 400 BTC & you only pay 1% stupid tax instead of the usual 50 to 60% plus tax

Well newbs, it's been fun (not so much actually) cya - I'm outa here

@niyum, this seems to have been going on forever, can't you just buy back in to Bitcoins on Intersango with your $ there & move it to an exchange where you can get it wired to Thailand more easily, or sell them locally to Goat in Bhat which he will do I'm sure if you cover any local bank fees

2690  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: imsaguy's Enormously Interesting Extended Investment Opportunity on: May 03, 2012, 06:43:18 PM
well it takes about 5 months to build up to the top interest rate of about 3% per week, I only entered in to this on the assumption that once reached I would be able to hold that for at least 6 months, better still 1 year, or I probably wouldn't have bothered, other reputable lenders like Hashking have been offering deals with 3% a week from day 1 recently (10 week special) & we all know what Pirate's rates pay - but I like to diversify. So I think it only fair to let those who are 3 plus months in to this (like me) to get up to the promised rate & to be able to hold that for a min of 6 months, at the very least 4 - if you can guarantee that then I'm happy & will stick around, otherwise I shall most likely look around for other options

2693  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitLotto raffle is 1 yr! May 2 was over *385 BTC or 1,925 USD* Next is June 1! on: May 02, 2012, 10:38:59 PM
@bitlotto, ah yes cool Blockchain.info wallets are back to normal again - please feel free to send the loot at your convenience, no rush

I make it 390.50 BTC total bets, less 1% is 3.905 = 386.60 Jackpot & donating 3% of that is 11.60 so say 375 BTC to me, or send the full 99% & I will return 11.60 BTC as a donation to your sig addey, which is probably the correct way for it all to be seen to be done - but as you like

I note that this time it was the high rollers who got closest, there were only 3 lump sum bets in double figure & they got:

2nd closest with hash starting 0102 was from the 15 BTC bet - edit: The Banker's Pool
3rd with 0107 from the 34 BTC bet
4th with 011 from the 25 BTC bet

anyway just in case that's any consolation to them, which I doubt, but best luck for June - maybe it will be even fatter  Grin

(edited to show total with 0.25 bets)

The "banker's pool" 15 BTC this time around - JUST missed it.

Phew!  Cheesy

JUST missed it = 2nd place Sad

I vote we create a smaller jackpot for 2nd place!

I vote that you cabal of wealthy bankers up your pool stakes from a measly 3 BTC each per month to at least 30 BTC each  Grin

edit: or are you planning to double up each month if you don't win, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 coins each, that would make a healthy 480 BTC bet on game 6 if you hadn't already scooped the JP  Wink

2694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give away/request free bitcoins here! on: May 02, 2012, 06:52:51 PM
well as blockchain.info wallet was down (it's now back up) & because I'm in a good mood today, I've decided to extend the deadline on my game for 24 hours more from now - see my posts on the previous page, if no one else wishes to participate then prizes go to GR & ILC this time tomorrow - Enjoy!  Grin
2695  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the highest value you've sold your bitcoins for? Or lowest value? on: May 02, 2012, 06:24:28 PM
2011 08 15 highest buy $11.20   Angry  Bloody Bruce pump & dump BS hype
2011 08 27 highest sale $8.19   Shocked  Time to dump this shit, we're going down big time

2011 10 17 lowest buy $1.57  Tongue  Back the truck up, on Intersango, even though the Mt. Gox never fell below $2.26 att
2012 03 19 lowest sale $4.84  Undecided  Before The Great Wall of March 26 was placed http://qkme.me/3p397m

but what counts most are the quantities involved & all the trades in between  Grin

Hiya BL

Well I really wasn't expecting that if it turns out to be correct, I only had about a 1 in 4 chance & the omens didn't look encouraging like in gigavips mining contract auction I actually got the ticket furthest away as possible from the winning one (I had highest instead of lowest hash), it mostly made me sad because I wouldn't be able to continue as I'd pledged & re-enter the 100 BTC in to June's BitLotto especially as it seems to work well in encouraging other punters to come on board & being placed early doesn't seem to be a problem

I expect that if Blockchain.info wallet hadn't been down the last couple of days the pot would have been well over 400 BTC, maybe a lot over (& I'd have surly lost to a last minute better), talking of which if I did happen to have won then could we wait for payout until BCI wallet is back to normal & I can confirm to you that I have full control over that address again, I do have the private key on backup I believe  so could move that to Gox but better to wait, it will be announced on piuk thread when fixed

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40264.740

Assuming all's well re calculating the winning hash then I will bet 100 BTC again for June as promised & send you an additional 3% of the winnings as pledged for site development etc, so it's good that has now been established as a precedent & peeps may see it as good karma & do the same, gamblers being superstitious & all often

Whatever happens it was fun to have participated & my condolences to the runners up, I know how that feels believe me especially when you've plonked down a lot (I had over 80 BTC riding on April's BitLotto), but at least with your 99% payout eventually everyone will even out on their returns as variance lowers over time I guess

Thanks again for making this & thanks to all who participated & wishing you all a great June Lotto!

Suerte,

Otoh Smiley

Im sure the site will be back up soon anyways.
