2741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 20, 2022, 04:32:54 PM
I do not get how you can say that Mercedes is doing better, I mean look at the results, we have 2 Ferraris at the top, and Max is right behind them, we have VIPs not doing great obviously but he wasn't given that order, he just did some testing and that's all. This should be something that shows you that we are talking about Mercedes still being third team in the race right now. Sure, VIPs could have been low, but Hamilton was 6th in the tests as well.

We also need to remember that this was a test run, it is a practice and it means nothing. Even qualifying is not that important anymore, the fastest team last race was Ferrari and they lost very quickly.
2742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which will be the new NFT series? on: May 20, 2022, 01:29:02 PM
Why focus your investments to NFT at this point? I mean it is not an investment to focus making money on. If you really want to, if your entire focus is on making a profit based on NFT, then do not look at collections. What you should do is, find good real artists who are turning their projects to NFT, that would be a lot better.

I personally believe that the best thing to do would be finding a great painter, or any designer, or anyone who is followed by millions, an incredibly loved person, and find their works on NFT markets on their social media. I did something similar once and didn't buy because I was afraid, but that 4k dollar drawing went for 80k just a few weeks later, not because of any NFT reasons, but because the seller was THAT famous person, the person gave the value to it.
The difference is that when you have a coin, the price of it is the same for everyone and there won't be any problem and you know what you are going to get. However, when you are investing into an NFT collection and minting at release along with everyone else, there is a chance you could make a huge profit with it very quickly, how?

Well, simply if you mint the rarest one of that collection, even while the low level bad ones go for 50 bucks, the best one (the rarest one) could go for 10k+ or more. And that means that if you spend 100 bucks on it, then you may get the half back (or maybe not even that much) or you could get 10k for it if you are super lucky. That’s gambling and people are doing that right now with the NFT world.
2743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna CEO Taking Lone walk To Luna 2.0 on: May 20, 2022, 11:54:36 AM
He is going to be trying his best to keep the few followers he has and try to make it into something much bigger. I have to say, it's going to be quite difficult to do it, and we are going to face what could be crashing of a person along with the coin as well.

Do Kwon will not go down easily, he is not just going to go "oh I used to have a coin that topped at top 10 and then it crashed so hard that I am just a crypto worker nowadays earning a salary and not famous at all", people do not go from those highs to suddenly lows. So, he will try his best until he can't anymore until he is totally gone, and that will hurt him, and all of his followers.
2744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin was outperformed by Alternative coins on Tuesday! on: May 20, 2022, 10:28:30 AM
The truth is that some people only care about the short term profits they can get and nothing more, it is because of this that they can make such superficial comparisons and see that an altcoin has outperformed bitcoin during the last 24 hours and somehow think that something like this can be sustained, when we know that is not possible and in most of those cases when you see a coin that is pumping it is not rare to see that coin dumping during the next days and then never recover from such crash.
I believe that we should be doing a bit better when compared to people who are doing short term profits when long term people like me are considered.

I get that they may or may not make a big profit in the short term, and even if they do like 2x in the short term, if they keep doing that they are not going to be making that kind of profit many times back to back to back, eventually they will lose money and that will be a bit of a trouble for them. Whereas when you are doing a long term investment then even though it drops time to time, you will be in profit if it has been a while since you invested. Imagine someone who invested 5 years ago, they would be in big profit even after the big drop we had recently.
2745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sideways huh! on: May 20, 2022, 08:39:30 AM
This isn't sideways for bitcoin standards. We have seen 48k last month, then 40k, then 26k, now over 30k. That is not a sideways, sure for the past few days we have been a bit sideways but we can't move breakout every single day, we need to end up with a bit of a challenge and that should be something a bit better.

I believe that we should not be doing anything that should be sideways at this moment just because it has been for a few days. I believe that we should be something that is a bit of a big deal, the ups and downs are constant and that is why I believe that we should be careful about the current situation since it could do anything.
2746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does Luna( Terra) worth to invest? on: May 20, 2022, 06:40:14 AM
I know that most people will take a chance at what we are seeing right now. You may end up profiting if it goes up just a little, because right now the price is so low that even just a bit of money could push it to a high level, and that is what people are hoping for.

But at the same time, I do not agree that it will do as great as people imagine it will. This is why I try to stay away from it as much as possible. Why would I trust Luna at this stage? They have already proven to be a failure, and people are saying that they are willing to risk their money for a good return, why would you risk your money for a good return? Makes no sense to me at all.
2747  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who’s itching to buy? on: May 19, 2022, 09:55:23 PM
I have moved past this buying itch recently. I already bought at around 28k+ levels, under 29k of course, at around 28400's and that was good enough. However, I have to say that I could have bought lower, and this is enough for me and I will just wait. I had a lot of purchases beforehand, so this isn't my first, I bought from all over the place, from much lower much higher, everywhere.

So, it is going to be fine for me to keep holding it for many years to come. I will never go down to loss if you ask me, it would be very difficult and bitcoin needs to crash beyond wildest expectations for it. Hence holding it doesn't seem too much of a difficulty to me.
2748  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Strategy and Custom Tradingview Indicators on: May 19, 2022, 09:28:48 PM
I would like to warn everyone that even though this could maybe work, I have to say that there is a chance that it may not work at all as well. This is why I believe that we wouldn't be able to do something wrong if we get it free, but be careful just in case.

We do not know OP and we do not know if he is a great trader or not, and if he is a great one then he will teach you something amazing, but if he is not a great one then it is going to be a terrible situation to be in. So, just focus on getting better yourself if you can, but if you are getting a free thing, just check what type of deal it is and if it would work or not.
2749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trying to identify the bottom.. on: May 19, 2022, 08:44:05 PM
I agree that if we are looking at the bottom of the bottom then we could assume that it could go down even more but I doubt that would happen. I am guessing that there is a good case to be made about the situation not being that much of a trouble, it looks like we are going to end up with something that is a bit more dangerous and would probably be looking at the wrong side of things.

If we are looking for a profit, then we can't wait for the bottom of the bottom, we need to end up with something that is risky since we may end up with something that will be hitting and then skyrocket back directly and that won't happen that easily.
2750  Economy / Economics / Re: Cooperative investing between small investors on: May 19, 2022, 06:50:49 PM
This has been something that I suggested for a very long time in my nation. I have tried to do something like this for real estate, because buying a land, and then building a building on top of it costs about 1 million dollars in my nation, and you could build one big apartment with 16 flats in it, which costs about 300k each, in that case you could divide it to 16 and each person would spend about 60k give or take, and would have a house worth 300k.

Then they could repeat that as much as they want, you could literally do it 5 more times if you do it just one time. But, unfortunately people are never trusting others and the people who will be leading that cooperative.
2751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins achieve goals I set? on: May 18, 2022, 10:01:46 PM
It is quite a bad situation if you set goals for coins, because you should not do that at all, it makes no sense at all. The best thing you could do with the current situation is that you could end up with buying and holding and not caring about the price.

If you set a goal and it reaches those goals and you sell them then it keeps going up even more then you would be upset. I had that, I invested into bitcoin way back in time and when it reached 20k I sold it, and paid of all of my debts and I was super happy, and we reached 68k few years later. So if I kept it, and paid my debt regularly, I would still have a bit of debt, but at least I would have 3x more than my debt, instead of just enough to pay the debt.
2752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which will be the new NFT series? on: May 18, 2022, 08:51:06 PM
NFT series are getting super risky at this point, because they are not as valuable as it used to be and most of them are dropping under the mint price so even if you just get it as soon as it could be minted, you could be ending up with a loss.

Back in the day minting was such a hard thing that people would work very hard to get whitelisted first, and only 10k would get whitelisted and each would get one whereas tens of thousands of people applied and as soon as it was mintable, people would end up minting it and make a ton of money as soon as they sell it. These days nothing like that is happening and it is such a horrible situation to invest currently.
2753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you live through the last bear market ? If so, what did you learn ? on: May 18, 2022, 07:22:56 PM
I have experienced through 2012-2013 period, then 2014 peak and 2015 crash, then 2017 peak and 2018 crash as well. I have been here probably during almost all big crashes and I have faced them all. At the first ones I saw that as a dangerous thing, and since bitcoin was a new thing as well, I thought "oh here it dies" and that was a mistake that I made, biggest mistake of my entire life, because if I bought there, I would have 500+ bitcoins right now easily.

When 2018 came in, I realized that sometimes it crashes and it is not a big deal, I held and did not sell too much, well I sold during 2017 peak which was awesome and then bought it back during 2018 but then held it all the way to 3.5k prices. This time around, not only I held, but I am also buying as well.
2754  Economy / Economics / Re: The end of the Pay to Play hype? on: May 18, 2022, 06:18:43 PM
Axie had literally just one reason why it drooped; being unlimited. The logic from the start was screwed, if you can breed as many axies as possible, and there is no limit to it, then why wouldn't it go down? Of course it would go down, because there will be more axies, more people who own them, more scholars to use them, more money to be made from everyone, and more SLP to be sold on the market.

Everyone who had axies or scholars would end up making too much money and they would all sell that SLP eventually. So when you have just 10k axies that system works, but when it reaches 10 million how could it feed everyone at the same time?
2755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 17, 2022, 09:33:12 PM
There are discussions about Messi finally deciding the iniesta route. It is talked that he may leave next season to Inter Miami and leave PSG and just own 35% of the Inter Miami club. That way he would not be paid just a salary, but more like a profit from the clubs coffers as well.

I do not know if it is true, this is just an ews right now regarding one season later, but if it is true, then Psg is crumbling a lot. They may lose mbappe, they are losing di maria, and that would mean they have only one more season of Messi left. By this logic they have only Neymar as famous player and that is not enough for anything at all, they need to use that big oil money they boost all the time.
2756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins achieve goals I set? on: May 17, 2022, 09:02:31 PM
I do not know much about others, like XRP reaching 3? I mean it is not impossible, if the market skyrockets one day then why shouldn't it? But considering they are centralized and people are moving away from them, a coin that reached second position, barely standing in top 10? I can't guarantee anything but at the same time I cannot say it won't happen.

However, I am well aware of bnb and eth, and I know that they will be doing much better and they could reach not only those numbers but they will reach a lot better numbers as well. I do know that it will be much better, 1k+ is nothing for BNB, and it will be even 5k right now, and ETH will be 20k+ one day as well.
2757  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine has launched a global initiative United24 to raise funds on: May 17, 2022, 04:11:28 PM
40 billion is a wild amount of money. I mean maybe USA doesn't realize this because they have like 30 trillion dollars in debt, and that is why they do not realize what they are doing. But at the same time, we are talking about a thing where 40 billion dollars is a huge huge huge amount for many other nations.

My nation could literally get out of debt trouble if we had 40 billion dollars, we are a poor nation and 40 billion dollars is enough to make us not a poor nation anymore. This is why Ukraine getting this amount is a big deal, they would be able to both defend, and also rebuild with that kind of money and would be so much help for them.
2758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: May 16, 2022, 09:34:29 PM
Honestly with the type of season Arsenal had, it doesn't even matter if you ask me. Yes I know that fourth position would be lovely, and it could happen, and it is certainly something everyone would want, why wouldn't anyone want that.

However, at the same time, we know that they started terribly to get here. Which is a proof that they do not really need anything extensive to actually claim it a great season. Even fifth would be a great year for them, they haven't been that good for past few seasons, and now they are going to be doing a bit better thanks to being fifth if that happens, or even fourth. Neither really matters as long as they are not out of top 10, which looked like might have happened if you look at first 1-2 months.
2759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League & 1. League 2021/22 Season on: May 16, 2022, 09:19:38 PM
Galatasaray will be facing Antalyaspor, which is 7th in the league right now, whereas Adana will face Goztepe who are 19th right now and Sivas will face Kayseri who are 14th. So, I am guessing that unless something unexpected happens, GS will finish at this spot, or even maybe worse.

Being in top 10 would be fine, but this year was a forgone year anyway and anything between 9th and 13th wouldn't really change too much honestly. They need to get a decent manager, sell all the useless and terrible players they had this year, get as much money as possible (sell them to Qatar if you can, they pay top price usually) and then get a few decent players, because they can't just reroll and try again with same roster, and need even better manager than Torrent.
2760  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 16, 2022, 08:30:55 PM
The amount of no's in the results gives me a lot of hope. I know that it sounds weird, people are saying that it won't, and these people are the ones that should buy it to make it go up, so it sounds weird for me to say or even expect the same people who say no would end up buying and making it go up.

However, if you have been in the crypto for long enough, you know that this is exactly what happens, you see something and you say it won't happen and then exactly that thing happens. Now many people are saying it won't happen, but I honestly 100% believe that it will happen exactly like that. This is a big dilemma in crypto world, if everyone is saying it won't be 40k+, then it means it will be.
