I just received mine from him today!  Now I just have to figure out how to get it to work.. I am currently using bfgminer, but its not picking it up.
they are hard to start.   what bfg miner do you use? use 3.6.0

and did you load the drivers. I will look for the youtube video link on driver loading.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUtcah8iSNE

this lets you do windows 7 drivers above

http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/

  use 3.6.0 for windows 7

once you have the driver loaded and you have done bfgminer up to the point of

password    click the reset button on the   stick then press enter on the password to start bfgminer  fast   boom boom.  if you wait too long before hitting the start of bfgminer after you hit reset it can freeze.

I am waiting for my three. we spoke via pm on the 11th make that the 14th  .   I ordered the 8th make that the 9th.  I am getting a bit nervous .

I will go back and check dates.

I  checked the dates  I sent  the money for 3 on the 9th.

I asked about them on the 13th he replied on the 14th.  So I will wait a bit for them.  I am hoping all is well.  He did let me use paypal so I am protected.

1st shipment was fast.  I would think that holidays are starting up I should see them soon..  It does not make sense that he would let me use paypal and not ship.

Most likely this is a Post office issue.

45125  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Blue/Red Fury maximum on each PC? on: November 15, 2013, 07:18:34 PM
Is there even a max? I believe unlimited...
There is a maximum of 128 addressable nodes, 127 devices per controller.  Your computer can have multiple controllers.  A realistic limit is around 80 devices per controller using common hubs built from 4 port chips.

getting over 80 is hard…  but possible.   here are 120 plus   AM sticks on the 49 port hubs.

these hubs   can fit 25 red furys.

  row 1--  4 sticks
  row 2--  3 sticks
  row 3--  4 sticks
  row 4--  3 sticks
  row 5--  4 sticks
  row 6--  3 sticks
 row  7--  4 sticks

total -----25 sticks

I am pretty certain 3 of these with 25 red furies each would work on my pc  that would be 75 x 2.2 or about 165gh.

I would love to have the sticks to test it.  but too much   $$ to buy that many.

I found out that when I exceeded 125 sticks cpu use went nuts and the 125th stick read endless errors.   not sure if the pc or bitminter software is the issue.  windows 7 has a 127  usb device  limit for 1 controller.  this pc has a 5 port pcie usb card with a second controller  so I should be able to go to 240 sticks or even 250.  So when I got past the 127 device limit the cpu went nuts and the last stick added com284 just read endless errors.  in the photo below it is at  6000 and change and counting up really fast

I pulled the stick out and have been running the 3 hubs with 122 sticks at 40.6 gh dead stable for a day.

3 hubs 3 extra psu's

45126  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN IN-STOCK] batch #32/31 0.65 btc per Blade on: November 15, 2013, 06:24:15 PM
i am sorry i had to write this here but i feel it needs to be resolved

i have tried my best to resolve it privately but canary will not do so and therefore i am forced to make it public

This thread is in regards to a scam accusation i have in my trust feedback.

it was made by canaryinthemine.  i may be wrong but i firmly believe it was a revenge attack on myself.  although it was left a while ago i only noticed it now due to the red line under my name Warning: Trade with extreme caution!  which i believe was due to a change in the trust system see here    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=327573.0

I had bought a over 50 miners from him previously.  then came the day when voucher distribution was announced for 0.10 per miner plus 0.05 shipping and handling.  i paid him that day and provided all the necessary info that he asked me for.  i also immediately asked him for a shipping quote internationally and asked him if some of that 2.5btc (0.05 x 50) i am paying for shipping and handling could go towards my international postage which is fair.

i did not get a responce for a few days until i wrote in the forum that i had pmd him.  all i got was a short snappy answer recieved thanks. i had no mention of shipping prices.  it only takes him a minute to write to me a shipping quote and he would know what it was as he had sent thousands of parcels international before including my own previous one for the same weight.

then he announces that he is taking a nice holiday.  which meant he would only be back on tuesday 3 september 7 days after i had paid him.

i felt this was dishonest as i was losing a lot of money as i sell on ebay.  (even if i mined i was losing a lot).  i had paid him and i estimated a 3 day shipping and therefore did not purchase other miners to sell.  Little did i know that he was going to mess me around.  i felt that i had given him the btc and now he had no pressure on himself and he could do whatever he pleased.  I therefore left him negative feedback and clearly wrote that he ships orders but he is delaying mine which is causing me a loss and is not fair and honest. that was the only way i felt that perhaps i could get him to speed it up. the feedback details that i left i feel were  honest and correct. i was hoping he would rectify the matter similar to sveetsnelda and i could then proceed and remove the feedback. instead he just abruptly told me to have a nice life and am banned from doing business with him.

again as i believe he took a revenge attack and left me negative feedback stating i did a scam  and he wrote abused the feedback system.

according to my understanding i have not abused and what i wrote was correct it but i am only human and i may be wrong.  i have removed his bad feedback in any case.   But i do believe that his negative feedback is wrong for two reasons.  firstly the feedback says he risked 7.5btc which is incorrect as i was the one risking it.  a quote from the website
"Risked BTC amount is money that the person could have stolen or did steal. For example, if you do a currency trade where the other person sends first, your feedback for them would have 0 risked BTC and their feedback for you would have risked BTC equal to the BTC value of the trade."
secondly i have not done any scam and what is the point in the trust system if any time i feel i have been treated dishonestly the other party can just leave me negative feedback say i am misusing the trust feedback.
I have tried to resolve it peacefully with canary and even apologized to him for the issue but he is not relenting.

therefore i am posting this here.  please can anyone help me

you can see the pm's in this link (one link is the pm's i sent to him the other is pms he sent to me)

a quote of the feedback i had left him.  (i removed it in order to try and peacefully resolve the issue)
"dear sir. i have sent payment to you on 27 august. i asked for shipping price to abroad as instructed in your pm. i have asked you for this numerous times. I only recieve 1-2 word answers and not related to this subject at all. i know you are busy and generally fulfill orders but why do you have to treat me like this. all it takes is two minutes to write me shipping price and it could have shipped with the rest of other peoples shipments. I am losing a lot because of this (for various reasons). I am at your mercy and it is not fair to delay expecially as you are saying you are now on holiday! Will i recieve any compensation for this. "

well you deleted  your trust so how can we judge if you are right or wrong?

canary has been good with me  not perfect but at least a  9.5 out of 10.  In the world of BTC that is very good.
Frankly the USA sellers of am sticks  (canary, silent and crazy) have all been pretty good.  So I am inclined to think you may not win out here in the court of public opinion.

Lets put it another way  he has had under 10 more likely under 5 complaints on the threads…  He has sold to over 500 people     so  even if he was fully wrong with 5 people that puts him at 99 percent good.

Pretty close on the numbers - we're at 17.42 BTC before expenses (the month of free hosting I paid for is over) which will work out to about .0846 BTC per share after.

With the Bitstamp price currently being $427, that's about a $36 return for two weeks on a GB that was only $78 ($75 + 3 UPS fund) to start with, or a 46% USD return in just these last two weeks.  Smiley

yeah this deal and the r9-r12 deals were very good for me. Smiley

Should be moved here.

FWIW: Hosting prices were actually reduced so that we can hash profitably for longer.

Also: -R- opted to do payouts on the 1st and 15th since he's handling payouts for these rounds. Just means the payouts are about 1/14th larger and we wait one more day.

Cheers!

P.S. Apologies to anyone's PMs I missed. Buried w/ my usual PM avalanche on top of work IT emergencies, co-op site redesign, future GB planning, as well as business setup and biz planning on the pro side.

Just not enough hours in the day even though I'm down to 3 days right now at the lab.  Undecided  Tongue

Thank you. For combining the 2.  I am looking forward to the payout tonight.  we are at about 8.66 + 8.51 = 17.18 coins for the 2 rounds.

that is around 8.5 btc a round   or .085 a share.

I have 19 shares or  about 1.615 btc   all estimated but close.     1.615 at 420 usd is  678 usd.    pretty good.

To expand on profits.. If you cashed coins each and every day you got paid from this group you would have less then if you had held all the coins up until today. The advantage of cashing out the day of payment in btc is ease of us tax return.  you can base your profits in usd more like a gold miner.  hold the coins more then a day will complicate your tax calculations..

(why? once you hold the btc for any length of time  you need to calculate the loss gain of it for the time held in usd).  any how or any way.  even if you cashed the btc the day it was paid you will be in the black with todays payout.

My 19 shares were 78 usd each or 1482 usd.  if I held all coins including todays  my total btc would be  would be about 6.20  at todays price in usd about  2604.

if I cashed the same day I got my btc   the prices of btc have moved up  I would have only 1529…..  Either method of cashing out I am ahead..

one method  I am ahead 1122   as 2604 - 1482 = 1122 usd.  this was the hold on to your coin method….

                             I would have 1529 - 1482 = 47 usd   the sell right away method….

that extra 1075 is due to btc price rise. kind of like digging up gold in a mine.  holding the gold and hoping gold price rises.   Or being paid in stock then hold it waiting for a price rise.

I have a tax background .  I can not say what all rulings will be by the USA on the tax accounting law for these coins.  So hold these btc rather then cashing them will affect you tax wise in an unknown way.  Cashing them the day you get them  is easy to understand profit,  but I am not  sure if it works better taxwise. My guess is cash them out.  but it is a guess

Forgot to mention

Total Mined Coins for Payout: 39.84231837
Total Coins before fees for Payout: 39.87285772

Yes that's right we mined less coins then the payout.

Thanks to bob correct?

Oh I cashed this in  as soon as I could on coinbase.

I am due 453 usd.  dropped from 464 above due to a miners fee and a small rate exchange drop.

this r9-12  I will cash in all btc asap at coinbase.

I want to have a easy trail to show profit or loss in terms of usd.
11 shares at 123 = 1353 in and so far 453 back  down 900 usd.  but this was only 6 or 7 days of mining .

in the next 2 weeks with luck  we should do higher btc since nov 30th is 16 days of mining.   like bob said next diff will not be as bad maybe 15%- 20% not 35 %.

in USD we could be even by dec 1st. fingers crossed.
45133  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Black Arrow R9-12 threads, DZ Miners Co-op. Plz move ?s and discussion here. on: November 15, 2013, 05:22:18 AM
thanks ! looks like I got 1.09098806 for 11 shares.  so this is about  0.099180732  a share after fees

If I were to sell this right now on coinbase I would get about 464 usd.  my usd spent was 1353     so a few more weeks would get me close to out for this group.

This group I will try selling every btc earned on coinbase  as fast as possible.
And the next diff doesnt look bad. 590m from 509m is nothing like the last one.

yeah  fingers crossed but r5 + r6  are a winner  and r9 + r10 + r11 +  r12  may join that club very soon.

good chance you are maxed at 28 vs a possible  127 max due to the mother board.  I run Am sticks lots   and motherboard to motherboard they vary.  I have 1 laptop a cheap asus and it only allows 1 7 port hub with a max of 3 sticks.   while my high end asus maximus v gene  has done  122 sticks.  my  as rocks motherboard tops out at 105.

That is good to know, because I am re-building my new litecoin mining rig tomorrow. And it is using MSI Z77A-GD65 motherbaord. Hopefully if it is the motherboard, and maybe I can run all of them on that board. I won't know until tomorrow after I build it and install Linux on it.

well I am a windows  7 miner  and a bit of 10.8.5 osx   mining with mac minis.   I have found that mobo to mobo the max varies with AM sticks.   Most likely it will vary with the red/blue fury sticks.   I am waiting g on more reds to test.

Hashing looks like its evened out, And all the bad boards have been pulled, and shipped back for RMA. Untill they come back, I will be keeping the Jupiter on hashing to maintain advertised speeds.

Extra 7BTC was paid into the payout fund, and will be distributed with first dividend tonight or tomorrow.

The payout will more than likely be tonight as I have to get a procedure done tomorrow and will be slightly sedated, not sure how I'll be feeling on the 15th so might as well do it a day early.
I wish to best for you on the Medical end bro.  I just got back from my doctor today he removed stitches on my back. I am doing okay I hope you do just as well as I have>

Blue/Red Fury maximum on each PC? I got both Blue and Red Fury. Actually I prefer Red Fury than then Blue.

How many did you managed to run on your PC? I only managed to run 28 Fury with my PC. And I am running another 13 on another PC.

Did you manage to run more? I found that when I tried to run more than 28, it doesn't recognise it.  Huh

Ideally I want to run all 41 of them using one PC. Do you know how?

Thanks  Smiley

what pc .  what os.

I got up to 120-122 AM STICKS on my pc.

Right now I have 1 red fury so I can't test.

I do have a  few questions
1) of your 41 sticks how many are red and how many are blue?

2)also can you mix and match the sticks?  like 14 red with 14 blue

3)  what are your hubs?

4) what is your pc and what is the mobo?

Congrats, looks very interesting. Out of curiosity, how big is your first batch, and what kind of production volume do you hope to achieve?

would be nice if first batch was 2500 or more.   no delays no bs.  if they ramped up to 5000 a batch and a batch every week they could sell them all. fast at the right price.

Talking usb sticks.
