45101  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN IN-STOCK SHIPPING!] batch #23/24 .18 btc USB + 4 btc NEW Blade miners on: September 09, 2013, 02:14:23 AM
these troubles are why I sold my 3 blades without even trying to hook them up.  I have 94 sticks about the same as 3 blades.
if I have an issue it is a hub or a few sticks.
If one blade has a problem it is just like 30-33 sticks going bad.  it is a bit cheaper to run the blades.

who is running 3 blades at 31gh total? what is your watts used?

my 94 sticks cost me 400 watts Counting everything.  3 blades should pull close to 300 watts add the switch and the router you are at 325 watts.

A power issue and all 3 blades could go down. but 3 blades are 12 btc  power source say 13 -14 btc

94 sticks and the hubs are 20 btc

I would definitely be up for a 32 g/h unit if the price is around the $500 mark, but if difficulty keeps rising the hardware costs will have to come down.
We are going to see the hobby miners all dying off otherwise.

I'm in for one if delivery is going to be under 4 to 6 weeks from order. but not "Two WeeksTM" Grin

That is  Why I said under 2 weeks TM Grin

I want a product like this, but  I have 4 or 5 preorders as I type. I have to wait for at least one to show up before I do another preorder.

2) a bitfury since june 2013========= 10gh    maybe 2 weeks  about 3 btc
3) a knc sinc july 2013 ===========  40gh    maybe 2 weeks  about 7.5 btc
4)a jet with d zombie since aug 2013=== 10gh    maybe 6 weeks    about 1.55 btc

a grand total of  15btc so whats another 5 btc

this  is 74 gh on hold .  I am hashing 30gh as I type.

Hey Zombie.

Sounds good. Always nice to have spare hands and brain to keep on top of all this stuff. Sounds like it could be good to see what we can do together. It would be nice to start seeing what kind of interest there is out there for either a fast-hash-one based project http://virtualminingcorp.com/shop1/index.php?id_category=8&controller=category, or a cointerra based project http://cointerra.com/shop/

They are both offering chips for what looks like a January delivery. The smaller size of the fast-hash-one chips is more appealing to us at this point as they can still be accessible to smaller scale miners, and most likely can be built into the expandability of our current equipment. If you are reading this and would be interested in either a $3200ish contera 500 GH/s miner, or a $550ish 32 GH/s miner, please speak up and it may come to pass. Wink

Barntech

the 500-600 dollar market is underserved  a 32gh miner at that price point sounds like what I want. for 2 years 400-600 dollar gpus were big news for mining the idea of a 32gh unit vs a .6gh gpu .  uses less power less noise is appealing.  If this can be done without huge leadtime it would be very nice. gpus were a 1 day wait from amazon. the only fast ship gear right now is from AM.  We need a 550 piece of gear that can ship fast under 2 weeks .  Waiting for a chip until Jan is the sticking point as I see it.

I am back up to 30-31gh around 90-94 usb sticks. in house(my garage) and as always mining here on bitminter.

I have 2x 7gh jalapenos march date. so maybe I will go to 44gh in 10 days or so.
I have 5gh with cloudhashing  but that has been a mess.

I have a 40gh piece of a jupiter group buy maybe 2 weeks.
I have a 11gh piece of a bitfury maybe 2 weeks.
I have a 10gh piece of  a baby jet due in nov.

I have some am stock.

Still selling off the remainder of my gpu farm.  anyone need a hd7970 or a hd7790 usa based

Well, there are so many people who are doing what you are doing right now - buying high hashrate ASICs.  Because of this the the amount of hashing power is increasing rapidly.  When the current rush of miners have got their systems in-hand, the hash rate will steady out somewhat.

Unless the price of bitcoin increases, I don't think rigs bought now will ever make enough to repay their cost as the total hash rate spirals.

Of course, you could keep buying more rigs to keep up your hashing power  Grin

or he could sell his machine on ebay for a profit .  he paid the old price around 1500.

he could sell it for 3.5k right now 2000 ahead.  the price of 3.5k would be the lowest on ebay, just be sure to do pickup only and btc only (no charge backs)

then buy asic sticks with the profit (if he really wants to mine) I would sell him 50 sticks for 1500.

his out of pocket cost for the sticks would be zero. he would have only 17gh hash but it would be free. and still have 500 in his pocket.  he would make me happy and the ebayer that paid "only" 3500 would be happy.

now down the road his asic sticks would not make a profit due to power costs (sounds like gpus) but 50 sticks pulls 200 watts or so and in the winter would be a bit of free heat so to speak.

your single will make about 3.52 btc in the next 10 days.   I use this calc

https://bitclockers.com/calc

 plugged in  61200 hash

350 watts

 .18 usd a k watt

 10 days time

120 usd a btc

87000000 diff

1% diff change-----   since we will stay at 87 mill for about 10 more days

25 btc a block

so just see what you make in the next 10 days   over 3.52 btc good luck under  3.52 bad luck   you pay fees so  3.52 is off a bit.

so more like 3.32 btc    you used .34 which 10x is close to my number.  and in 10 days or so diff will jump and your single will be a little worse.

you could sell it on ebay  but offer pick up only and btc payment only.  No chargebacks that way.  this one is over 4 k

I do not think a single will earn 4.5 k over its life.

No company sell asics in stock. (other then AM).

On the down side Knc could drop 1000 th in the next 75 days.

Where the data(1000 th) comes from? Thanks. Does KNC claim that ?

I have only read the number online not on knc's site.

Being Chinese, I am now wearing red underwear to ward off the bad luck.  I STRONGLY SUGGEST IT!
my brother teaches english as a second language to Chinese students. I will put on a pair of red jockey under pants right now. Followed by a red jockey undershirt!

 Is this TMI?

I think Vycid can't possibly know the future. To predict that AM will never go above 3 btc is easy to predict impossible to guarantee.

If AM has a better usb stick on the market before the holidays they would be boosted in price. If AM puts up 50th more hash power they would be boosted in price. If AM sells a better blade by black friday they would be boosted in price.

No company sell asics in stock. (other then AM).

On the down side Knc could drop 1000 th in the next 75 days.
 AM may not increase hashpower.
AM may not sell a better stick or a better blade in the near future. ie 2013 no better gear .

How the f does Vycid know any of the above info?

confirms are in on todays payment. of .211  what was the percent on this one?
45117  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [19 TH/s] BitMinter.com [ASIC support: var diff, Stratum, GBT, rollntime] on: September 04, 2013, 11:03:59 PM
why has it taken so long on this block? would that be due to the diff rise recently?

yes and no.  yes in that more diff slows block production no in that 97% is bad and we are up to 97%

yesterday  the wheel of fortune had 65 slots the new wheel now has 87 slots.  so it is harder to "spin a win".

but the 97% is based with the diff increase accounted for so it is really lousy number.

knc news:

"delivery towards end of september"

Please, knc, do NOT become another bfl!!!

well that is very bad thought to begin.
but since I am still waiting on my bfl I know where you are coming from.
I can live with a short delay lets say up and running by oct 10th or sooner. It would help out my aisc miner usb sticks that are mining in my garage. but a long 60 or 75 day delay would be hard to take.
45120  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is cloudhashing.com a scam?? on: September 04, 2013, 10:24:48 PM
