Received my C1 yesterday with watercooling kit.  Set it up today.  No problems initially, pump not leaking (could all these leaking pumps be due to overfilling?  The instructional video seems to show the pump being filled to the very top, but when the liquid heats up it expands, if it's completely filled where is it going to expand to?  Might be something to consider to fill it less full, so the air in it can compress when it heats up.  I've completely filled mine so I'm thinking about removing some fluid).  Did have 2 of the radiator fans connected to one header as others have pointed out.  My fan/pump power cables are connected to a PCI 6-pin power adapter that instructions state to connect to one of the open ones on the C1 which is new to me.
Anyway after doing some initial setting it was hashing, but went to log in to change something and was unable to.  Get the Antminer C1 screen but no request to login and all blank.  Tried the 10 second on the rest button and power recycle but same results.  Looks like the SD card image might have become corrupted as happened with many others.

EDIT:
I was able to get it working with HDD Raw Copy Tool reflashed to the SD card with the image BitMain linked me to in an e-mail, but it was the old firmware so when I upgraded the firmware I got the same blank AntMiner screen.  So I'm reflashing the SD card to get it working and hoping for a link to the image file with the new firmware included.

I fill them right up to the very top and then screw on the brass screw cap just enough so if any pressure builds it can release from there. And no evaporation issues. This has worked best for me.

Who is receiving fans with one 3 pin connector attached to 2 fans?
It appears, everyone is.  There's nothing wrong with that, either, as all the fan and pump needs are two wires - one positive and one negative.  The fans and pump run at full-speed and are not throttled so there is absolutely no need for more than two wires.

That's fine, but the fans were damaged. All the plastic brackets that hold the fan in the square were broken.  Bitmain said he wouldn't send me replacements unless I bought another miner since it would cost him to much to just send me two fans. Basically he doesn't want to pay for the cost of doing business as he should be. I don't care what shipping cost. When a customer receives damaged parts, shows hi-res pictures of it, the expectation is to get them replaced without a hassle.
Shipping damage is normally fixed with a claim to the shipper, not the manufacturer.

I would have never signed for a box if it was not in perfect condition. That's why the shipper makes you sign for it also. Boxes were in perfect condition. It's just obvious they sent me defective fans and don't have the balls to honor a simple replacement. They are trying to make me buy another AntMiner so they can put an extra set of fans in one of those boxes. This starts to show the real layers and colors of a company when they pull shit like that. Even though it is just 2 fans, which is not huge deal, if something happens later on down the road we are all screwed. Horrible business practice on his part. He's going to lose potential sales and a customer because of two 120mm fans? The idea in business is to try and keep your customer's for future business so you can stay in business. No hard math, just simple common sense.

Apparently they are getting DDOS attack and you can't even use the site, so if you have any bitcoin being held hostage there may be a long time coming. Live and learn. Next time I sell ANYTHING the buyer picks his ass up and drives to my location and hands me the money.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner: Any Miner, Any Where, on Any Device (Free, Open Source, Cross Platform) on: December 10, 2014, 08:09:31 AM
Can I monitor my Spondoolie SP10 that's being co-located that is not on my subnet, but has it's own IP address? I full access to it, and SSH as well. My Antminers magically appeared without me doing anything with those.  Now, just trying to get my Spondoolie on the list. Can I add it by the IP address?

Thanks.
505  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Syscooling SC-BC2 Watercooling Kit:Cool your multiple C1 antminers down on: December 10, 2014, 07:43:08 AM
Not really, all complaints you see is of several very people, and truely there was misunderstanding in our treatment,we have tried to solve those problem without counting cost. You didn't see other process of after-service,and few peole whose watercooling kit worked fine post here.

I don't know if it would make any difference, I bought 4 Batch 2 C1s with cooling kits directly from Bitmain. They have been working well for over a week now.
Thank you very much,in any ways your satisfaction is our pursuit.
[/quote]

Your kit included two broken fans in my last order and basically syscooling told me me contact Bitmain, which I did and he's refusing to send replacement fans UNLESS I actually order another miner from him. He's using the excuse of cost and how long it takes to get to the US. Strange. My C1's made it to the US in 4 days, now he says two cooling fans will take two weeks. This was a BRAND NEW syscooling OUT OF THE BOX, broken fans and neither syscooling or Bitmain wanted to honor their own hardware only unless I purchased another miner. HORRIBLE customer service. I'll never order anything from Bitmain or syscooling again, and I hope other users realize this. If you don't want to run a proper business and support your customer's then get out of the business.

so that psu has a 1250 watt limit from 110 volts to 218 volts?

is this the psu?

https://www.artesyn.com/power/power-supplies/websheet/401/ds1200-series

https://www.artesyn.com/power/assets/ds1200_ds_1219707774.pdf

If it is you are really pushing beyond it limits at anything over 1200 watts.   that is the spec sheet above.  If I owned it I would not use more then 1050 watts on a 120 volt setup and I would use 1200 watts max on a 220 volt setup.

I don't understand why you don't simply tell people  that the high setting are like driving your car at 150 KPH or 90MPH  yeah you can do it but it is not that safe and burns a shit load more gas.  If you drive at 100 KPH or 60 MPH it is easy and the gas mileage is better.
I you were really clear about this you would have less people hurting the gear they own.

Just like the sp20  yeah I can get  mine to do 1725gh  with the fans at 100 and using an evga 1600 p2 psu with a garage door open my power at the kwatt plug is 1300 watts.

 so 1300/1725 = .75 gh

right now I am doing   1328 gh  and 720 watts or     720/ 1328 =  .542 watts per gh

you really should make that clear    to people .

No, the PSU does not have a 1250 limit. The SP3X programming imposes limits, which can be overridden. The override voids the warranty though, if the supply voltage drops below 218V and the PSU is stressed over the acceptable limits.

You might be interested in the best efficiency .. but not everyone is. "free electricity" locations, and/or hosted environments care more about mining stability than performance.  If you can make the unit run stable at top output .. there's the setting some other people might be interested in.

okay I read the spec sheet very carefully and I have run plenty of psu's past spec's but as I read the spec sheet from the psu company if you run 1250 watts draw you are exceeding the psu's warranty limits.

Now this means in order to run to the max gh on the sp31 you must be voiding the psu's warranty numbers.

to me spondoolies  advertisment for the sp31 is not clear enough for overclocker's.

now I am using this pdf as my guide

https://www.artesyn.com/power/assets/ds1200_ds_1219707774.pdf

and it looks like this is the psu in the sp31.

i get that I can go beyond its rating.  I just think that the spondoolies advert is not clear enough to say doing that is like speeding down a highway far beyond the posted speed limits.

Personally I am only going to buy sp20's I am at the game of max efficiency .

If you have a farm with good cooling and want to run the gear beyond spec I am fine with that.
I just think the add makes you think you can get 4.7 th or more  within the psu's spec's .  I would like to see if anyone is running their machine at 4.7th and 2300 watts or even 2400 watts. or if you can show me where in the pdf it reads that these psus can do 1250 watts 24/7/365

I read 12 volts 100 amps max out put  so 2 are 2400watts max rating   or 1200 each.

So while you may crank the fuck out of the sp31 and pull 2600 watts and get your 4.7th you have voided the psu warranty. to do it.

You have free electric, right? Soon as coupons and "holiday" specials are advertised there is something in the consumer mind that just clicks. I bought several other miners, but I'm getting free electricity for them so the return will be alright. Who knows when, but a while.

That share will stop working in a few days.

Format the card.
Flash it with Win 32 imager by selecting that image you just downloaded
Insert the SD card carefully into the miner, make notice that all pins make contact with the metal on the SD card.
Try to boot.

Thanks, that worked great as I am now hashing away on the  C1

Now for the S4

Glad that worked for you.

This is very frustrating and I need help, I look online and every thing says to un-zip the files, then burn them to a SD card.  Here Dogie says to just burn SD-C1-20141126.tar.gz file with Win32 Disk.  I have tried and tried with both the S4 and the C1 nothing works. just fan playing very loud.

Does someone have an card image I can just copy to my SD card.

I live in the Seattle wa area and I am willing to pay some BC to someone who can get this going.  I have written to Bitmain, but still waiting for answers.  I have 3.5 tb of hashing currently with 3 tb sitting around doing nothing

Who should I talk to??

This is the image I used to flash my card with. Unfortunately Bitmaintech doesn't have a "support" department or even a support ticket system. It is basically email back and forth 100 times until he makes you just give up. I've already sent him 5 emails with duplicate information regarding just two fans.

Format the card.
Flash it with Win 32 imager by selecting that image you just downloaded
Insert the SD card carefully into the miner, make notice that all pins make contact with the metal on the SD card.

How is the difficulty manually set in this pool. For when I'm entering my pool information in my miner's setup page.

Is there a way to list them in the order you want? I'll add them as I want to see them, but then when I click save an error pops up which I close, restart the program and they are there, but just not in the the order I want them to be.

Unless I can edit the config file manually?

Actually, where does it save the configuration file?

512  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 08, 2014, 12:27:38 AM
The network lights are not blinking, the S4 was running fine until I tried to under volt it.

I am double posting this as I really need an answer soon S4 and C1 Support

I am trying to flash a file to a sd card

I downloaded the files tar.gz both for the S4 and the C1

I downloaded Win32Disk imager.

I put the SD cards in my computer, I can view the old files there are 7 of them.

I point Win32Disk imager to the downloaded tar.gz files.

I Point the Device to the SD card and select write.

I warns me and then writes.

I try to view the file on and it says I have to format the disk first.  {Okay I know I just viewed the previous image)

I put the card in the miner and it runs high fans for over 5 min and nothing at all happens, the fans do not slow down and the Watt meter does not register any real usage.

This should not be so difficult even for a old person like me.

Thanks for your thoughts

Barbara

If you read in my previous posts one of my C1's came with a defective SD card. I flashed it several times and the miner would never boot. Soon as I used my own SS card from my girlfriends camera it worked fine. I'm not even going to try to RMA the SD card. All I want are two working fans that were botched up when I received them.

513  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 07, 2014, 09:55:06 PM
I want to apologize for blowing up last night and being so brazen. Getting defective parts on anything is a bad deal, but it is especially bad when it comes to mining hardware since the goal is to try and get your money back. Every minute not hashing is losing money. I've dealt with 4 companies, all of which I had to process an RMA and all of them were quite efficient and quick. Unfortunately Bitmaintech.com's support is quite slow and the only time you really hear from him on here is when there is a new product. Too bad. Anyway, let me make a pool. Anyone that can guess how long it takes Bitmaintech/Syscooling to get my two fans replaced with working ones will get $20. I have emailed Bitmaintech and Syscooling information, pictures, order numbers, everything that is needed. See ya!

514  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 07, 2014, 09:08:49 PM
Anyone able to tell me how to flash an image?

just copying to the card does not work
Barbara

Download this program and use it to "flash" the SD card with the image file.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/

You can't just copy the contents.

Received a DOA unit today. All it does is stay at that high pitched fan noise and doesn't connect to the network. I'd love to troubleshoot, but the lack of information is holding me back. Can I manually flash the firmware some how without accessing the unit via IP? Is there a hard reset button somewhere?
There is a serious problem here. I re-flash my rig back to defaults and now it is only hashing at 500GH/s.
Why can't these fucking things just work? Looks like I'm definitely going to RMA this paperweight back.
These were the pool settings that were in the rig before I had a chance to even flash it.

The unit was not DOA based on the photo you provide. It clearly operated at spec for over 3min, with the default pools being part of the installed firmware. You re-flashed it with a different firmware and now it is half-working.

I couldn't run the unit for longer then a couple of minutes because 2 of my fans were not working. Picture provided above as well. Why the heck they tried to put two fans on one connector baffles my mind when their harness clearly has three fan connections. So I put a high speed table fan in front of the radiator to make sure nothing would over heat. The unit only powered and worked once. After that it just ran the high speed fan initialization process and that's it. Would not even connect to network or get an IP. To make a long story short I had to flash my own SD card for the unit to boot up properly. After several boots, I tried the original SD card (flashed) and it wouldn't work. Apparently a defective SD card. As long as the miner works I'm good with that, but not having two fans working is making things a pain in the ass. I really don't want to trust a table top fan to cool the loop. Since the fans come from syscooling, I'm dreading trying to work with them in getting replacement fans since I saw one guy on here wait for many weeks to get two pumps replaced. So in 20/20 hindsight, the unit wasn't DOA but whatever killed that original SD card is unknown to me.

I downloaded a flash image called C1 Image - DHCP.zip at https://mega.co.nz/#!tEIQkDqJ!wTLk4B_K2IiNl248puBU6JXsq5hF7nR1wzWPJqvKHT0 from the 2nd post from Dogie. If this was why his information was in the pools then I apologize for being so brazen about it, but at the time (2am in the morning) I was just tired and pissed about shit not working.

There is a serious problem here. I re-flash my rig back to defaults and now it is only hashing at 500GH/s. Also, Dogie's name was all over it. I have a feeling maybe someone knew it was bad hardware and someone didn't want it, so they shipped it out anyway.

Why can't these fucking things just work? I'm really starting to hate myself for trying to save a little money when I could of had a Spondoolie that could run an entire year without intervention. These things are like kids. They need constant attention and work just to get them running normal. Looks like I'm definitely going to RMA this paperweight back.

These were the pool settings that were in the rig before I had a chance to even flash it. So to top it off, it seems like it was a used piece of hardware also. And I could only wish to get that hash rate. Won't budge over 500.

And more bullshit. Since when did they start combining two fans into one connector??? Well, they fucked it up. Now both fans don't work. If you look closely you'll see that two fans are connected together using the same 3pin connector. Well, guess what? It doesn't work!!!! They either have a bad crimp or another crossed wire or just have no idea what their doing. That shit is going back to China and I sure as hell hope I get an UN-USED unit with proper wiring.

Are the brackets for the 2nd fan in that pic broken?

Just ignore dogie's response and try to get someone from bitmain direct to answer you. ie someone who can give you a real answer. replying to dogie's responses will get you no where.

Yes, this morning I just noticed all three brackets on one of the fans is broken. Who is receiving fans with one 3 pin connector attached to 2 fans? I agree with your statement about Dogie and all the other statements I've just read about him.

There is a hard reset button next to the Ethernet port.
Be careful as the button may not line up with the small hole perfectly

Reset Procedure:
Power on the C1 and let it run for 3-4 minutes.

Press and hold the reset button with a paperclip for 5-10 seconds.

Let it go and wait for 3 minutes.

Power it off and wait for 1 minute

Power it back on.

It should be 192.168.1.99 and clear all the setting by then

Thanks. After spending more time with it last night it turned out to be a physically bad/defective SD card. I had to use one from my camera to get the unit to boot up properly. Since I don't have any extra fans for my radiator I really can't run the unit until I do. There are no stores around here at all that would have fans like these, and from the feedback I read on here trying to get an RMA for defective parts is almost impossible. I really wish I knew that before I bought these things.

Were you guys able to get ssh access on this? i log in with root/root and get invalid password.

RMA process was a breeze with the CO guys too. Got everything hooked up a few days ago and its very stable

What water pump do you have there in that picture? Is that the one from Ebay? How is the quality? I purchased one from FrozenCPU for $100, yes, $100 but the quality was excellent and turn around time would be quick. Not sure what to do. I just want to mine my 6 rigs at 1000TH/s that supposed to be guaranteed. according to the sales pitch online.

520  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 07, 2014, 01:48:39 AM
When my voltage was on 725, watts at the wall was 745-750. I increased voltage to 760 and the watts at the wall went up to over 820. So be careful when making changes to the voltages. Unfortunately I have a bum unit where it just won't get to 1000TH/s unless it is at 760 volts, but I have a feeling if I keep it at 800 volts it's gonna burn up real quick.

My question still stands. What does this second firmware do? Changelog, anything, please?
