522  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 10oz .9999 Gold NastyFans Minted Seats on: March 22, 2024, 08:47:27 PM
Show us the design!

Ask and you shall receive.  It isn't anything out of the ordinary for the series.  Here's the front design, and the back would be the same as the 10oz silver round (same die used to stamp even).

Sadly this 20oz .9999 gold coin never found it's way into reality.  It would have been/is the final coin to complete the minted series set and would have been the counterpart to the 10oz .999 silver coin.  It's been 5 years now and Bitcoin has increased in value quite a bit.  Maybe there's some folks out there that might be interested in being owners of the greatest crypto coin ever created and helping me finish turning a pipe dream into reality by completing this series.  I haven't gone over costs or anything with the mint, but a good estimate range with today's BTC value would probably be ~1.5 BTC.  If that sounds like something you'd be interested in being a part of, shoot me a PM.  I figured I'd toss the idea out here.  No more than 3 would be created and likely only 1 if I'm the only person who wants to see these exist.  Don't let me have a 1 of 1.  Smiley
523  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz .9999 Silver NastyMining Wallets (Colorized, Gold Highlighted) on: March 22, 2024, 08:15:11 PM
I wanted to give my review for the Nasty coins, I was really surprised by the quality and how incredible they look, I had the opportunity to acquire a gold one, but none of Silver until now, still a good price compared to other coins I think every collector should have...

Agreed. I have a set for myself and have resold 5 sets over the past couple years. Everyone has loved these coins.

They are definitely some of my best work as far as materials and processes go.  They were sort of the culmination of everything I'd learned about coin making up to that point.  A bit of a shame they weren't more well received.  I had toyed with the idea of doing a 5oz .9999 silver coin someday with gold highlighting and colorization, but I'm not sure that's what the people want.  Maybe someday when all my other coins have sold out.  Until then, I'm wondering if it is the requirement of buying a set that has been holding people back.  Maybe I'll auction a set off individually and see how people feel about them.  Would love to get these into more people's hands.
524  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: March 22, 2024, 08:10:21 PM
For me, this is day 50 of the challenge.  That means I have done 4920 push-ups since this challenge began and by the end of the day I will be sitting at 5,000!  I must say that I am impressed with myself for having reached this milestone, but am not ready to give up yet.  I've got my sights set for another 50 days at least and with any luck we'll be at $100,000 by then and we can all congratulate ourselves for a job well done.  I am beginning to wonder if maybe halving day can be considered a holiday for a day off break or if that is just weakness talking...
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 22, 2024, 08:03:48 PM
After a heartbreaking loss yesterday with one leg of my parlay not hitting what should have been an easy win, I'm going a little more mellow today in hopes to reverse the losing streak before it starts.  If one of these teams lose then you know something has gone seriously wrong as all these games should be easy wins.  A 3 game parlay for 1.61 odds isn't a bet I'd recommend following though.

Detroit Pistons - Boston Celtics
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Boston Celtics

Portland Trail Blazers - Los Angeles Clippers
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Los Angeles Clippers

Los Angeles Lakers - Philadelphia 76ers
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Los Angeles Lakers

Odds
1.61
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 22, 2024, 05:56:01 AM
I won't risk any amount on your 5 leg parlay picks @0gnasty. For sure there is one game that will ruin that 5 legged parlay. It might be the Knicks vs Nuggets because the Knicks really need to push their remaining game to avoid playing in Play-In Tournament and to secure their Playoffs spot. Instead of picking moneyline for Nuggets, I gonna go with points handicap for Knicks +11.5 with 1.62 odds.

Looks like you were right. The Sacramento Kings had no business losing to the Washington Wizards though. With them being in a playoff race and nearing the end of the season there’s no excuse for them to drop one to the worst team in the league. They’re going to regret letting that one slip away at the end of the season.
527  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] bitpic - Metal Bitcoin Picture Wallet on: March 21, 2024, 06:32:39 PM
PS - The NFTs collection is still out there for those who just want to see the pics.

Upon making this post it was brought to my attention that the collection had been suspended for trading.  After some discussions with OpenSea it was discovered that someone (I won't mention who) reported the collection as being a violation of their copyright & linked to securities.  I went through the steps to prove that this was untrue and that these are not linked to any securities as well as me being the copyright owner.  As a result, the collection is back and once again for sale for those who might want to own the digital copies of these images.  Saboteurs abound but we keep moving forward!
528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How old would you be by 2140? on: March 21, 2024, 06:10:54 PM
2140?!?!!  I'm sure I will have been dead for damn near 100 years by then!  Most likely all that will be left of me will be an old pile of bones buried beneath a metal plaque covered in weeds that hasn't been visited in quite some time.  That's if I'm lucky...  Many others will be dust scattered in the wind.  I don't think any of us will still be alive, but who knows...  Maybe Elon will have us all living as code inside some computer by then, or maybe we already are and just don't know it.
529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Get one btc right away or 5 btc with a bet? on: March 21, 2024, 06:06:06 PM
A 50% chance to get a 5x increase...  Seems like a no brainer to me.  I'm taking those odds all day long.  Even the best of casino odds are less than 2 to 1 when it comes to doubling your money (think the green squares on roulette) and you're talking about even odds with a 5x payout...  Anyone who says they would take the 1 BTC and gambles should slap themselves.  That's like a ton of bets with more than 5x the odds you play for usually.  You could even make a side bet of 1 BTC that you will lose and worst case scenario you break even, best case scenario you win 4 BTC.
530  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin Magazine Issue 8 & Bitcoin Magazine Issue 13 for sale on: March 21, 2024, 05:23:34 PM
I have issue #1 that I bought when it was released and have had sitting around for a decade.  I remember these were a pretty big deal when they first came out.  Are they still making new issues?  It seems like it's been quite some time since I've heard anything out of that company but drama.  I just saw someone on Twitter (x) today calling for new ownership of the company and firing of their staff...
531  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Stick Miners, all of them ... on: March 21, 2024, 05:20:35 PM
By the way. if anyone is willing to sell grey block erupters with golden logo, I am open for offers.

I've got one of the original gold ones with the grey logo still in the plastic case that they came in.  I can't say I recall ever seeing a grey one with a gold logo, but that was a long time ago...  I also have a red one with a white logo but those are more common.  I think I paid around 1 BTC each for them so I've just hung onto them all this time as a reminder.   Cheesy

I've also got a couple Butterfly Labs FPGA miners from back in the day which I thought I'd mention for nostalgia purposes.
532  Economy / Services / Re: I'll Do Odd Jobs for You on: March 21, 2024, 05:10:37 PM
I didn't see your location in the OP.  That might be of some relevance to prospective jobs.  I have a job in mind that would require you to leave your house and do about 30 minutes of work.  I'd be willing to pay you depending on your location.  Drop me a PM if you're interested.  I can't promise that it will pay great, but I can promise that it will be a lot of fun.  Smiley

Hi buddy. No time for offline ventures at the moment. Nevertheless, I'll announce it when I'm I'm available for yard work. Regards.

That's understandable.  Nobody wants to do yard work am I right?  More seriously though...  I was curious to know if you would be willing to test drive a Tesla Model S (for free) and how much you would charge me for such a thing.  I was hoping that maybe you might want to drive a $75,000 car and wouldn't want to charge me too much money for the experience of doing so.  No worries though.  If you ever do decide to make your location known and want to start doing real tasks, feel free to drop me a line.  Smiley
533  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BITCOIN CONTINUE TO RISE on: March 21, 2024, 05:04:44 PM
Like a tent on a camping trip or my pants in the morning, Bitcoin's demand will act like tent poles lifting up the price until it's value hangs over our head safeguarding the value of our created wealth and keeping us out of the ills that nature has in store for us otherwise.  Things like inflation or asset seizure will bounce off our safety layer like wind or rain, leaving us free to warm ourselves by the fire of our crypto incomes, knowing that we found our place before we were left out to fight the dangers of nature with the rest of the animals.
534  Other / Meta / Re: [REQUEST] the wall observer thread should be pinned. on: March 21, 2024, 04:56:53 PM
The thing that makes the Wall Observer thread so great is that it is resilient on it's own.  It doesn't need to be pinned like other weak threads that are here today and forgotten tomorrow.  The Wall Observer thread lives on through it's own means.  If you want to help the Wall Observer thread live on in it's infamy for all time you need not worry about pins, you just need to participate along with everyone else.  That's been historically enough to keep it around and I suspect that will do the job going forward as well.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 21, 2024, 04:54:20 PM
AFAIK, Mike Tyson isn't in a very good financial situation. He would fight anyone for a few dollars.
This would be more like a circus or US wrestling rather than a real boxing match. At this point, I truly believe that there will be a fight between Floyd Mayweather and the Paul brothers(it doesn't mater Logan or Jake) in the near future. Mayweather and the Paul brothers both like money and shitcoin/NFT scams so there won't be a problem for them to setup a match and get some easy money.  Grin
I really don't know who is going to win between Paul and Tyson, maybe whoever gets proclaimed as an outsider by the bookies. Grin

Where did you get that information? Wasnt it only in the past, his promoter Don King, stole most of Mike Tysons money. I havent heard that Tyson is in so bad situation that he would fight anybody. At least he has earned recently when he helped Francis Ngannou to prepare against Tyson Fury. And if he would really be in such urgent need of money, I think he could have organized a friendly fight with some of former boxing champions. That would be more easy and less harmful way to earn.

He is still a millionaire as what we can read online.

Quote
As of 2023, Mike Tyson, the iconic figure in the world of boxing, boasts an estimated net worth of around $10 million. This figure, sourced from Celebrity Net Worth, paints a complex picture of a career marked by astounding success and notable challenges.

That was in 2023, $10 million is already a lot of money. However, compared to other boxers who are making millions every fight, that might not be big enough, but for sure he is not struggling financially, unless he is living a lavish life. His fight with Jake Paul, this could be another million paycheck for him, so that's fine as if it will not happen, I'm sure other boxers will be interested with Mike, and he can still make money.

His life is very related to boxing, so we will see him from time to time, on and off the boxing ring.

$10 million dollars seems like a lot to normal people, but to Mike Tyson it is probably very concerning.  Enough so that he's taking this fight...  He doesn't have a day job, so it isn't like he has this regular stream of income.  He has his podcast, which he just shut down, that I'm assuming employs a lot of people and costs him a lot to run.  With all the podcasts nowadays, I'm sure he isn't bringing in the same money he was previously.  So I think it really is a situation where he wants a final payday to retire on while simultaneously doing things like ending his podcast to cut his liabilities and give him a chance to be smart with his money going forward so he has a comfortable end of life scenario.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your worst nightmare in a casino? on: March 21, 2024, 04:50:48 PM
Well, considering the wording of your question and it containing "in" as though you're talking about a physical place, the answer is easy for me.  I hate casinos because the ones that I've been in always allow cigarette smoking.  Cigarette smoke is my least favorite thing in the world and I can't stand to be around it for any length of time.  So for me, I avoid casinos because I don't want to smell like an ashtray or have to breathe in that nonsense.  A close second would be a very large scary man seeing me win and then following me out to the parking lot.  Smiley
537  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: March 21, 2024, 04:42:13 PM
With less than a month to go until the halving it seems like Bitcoin is ready to make another push upwards in an attempt to get to $100K before then.  I have my fingers crossed, but am prepared to continue on with this challenge for longer than that if necessary.  It's become pretty easy for me to get through the push-ups, but my lingering elbow pain is still there and more present now that I'm doing sets of 50 every now and again.  I'm sure a couple days off would make a world of difference pain wise for me, but that's what makes it a challenge.  On days like yesterday when I'm doing a lot of manual labor it would be very easy for me to skip a day, but I'm proud to report that I have done 100 push-ups per day every day going on 49 days now. The consistency is the hard part.
538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 21, 2024, 04:34:02 PM
The thing with the Warriors is that they are not a road team, haven't check their schedule but if they are going to travel it might be hard for them to win, just saying.

Well then, the Warriors could really have some problems, as only one of their upcoming six games will be on their home court. By the way, it's worth noting that the opponents in these matches will not be easy. Likely, only the games vs. the Hornets and Spurs at the end of the match won't cause any difficulties for the Warriors.

It's not actually a problem since their stats says they are better on the road.

As you can see in here https://www.espn.ph/nba/standings.. Warriors currently have 36 wins, and these are the breakdown.

18-18 home record
18-14 road record, .. so what you have pointed as problems actually favors them.

Ya, the Warriors seem to have gotten over the road woes that plagued them a couple years ago with a horrible away record.  I actually think the Warriors are the most experienced team in the NBA right now, so it probably matters less to them than anyone else where they play.  They've seen it all in their run and while they might be at the end of their dynasty with heroes of the past coming off the bench now, they're still an extremely dangerous and experienced team that can beat anybody if they let their guard down.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 21, 2024, 04:31:52 PM
Fresh off yesterday's parlay win, here's another one that should hit unless something crazy happens.  Nothing too surprising here.  Maybe the Knicks might pose a threat but the rest should be easy wins.  I also placed another side bet parlay on the Kings and Suns to both win.  The odds aren't worth taking that bet, but I think it's as close to a sure thing as it gets (famous last words).

Washington Wizards - Sacramento Kings
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Sacramento Kings

Milwaukee Bucks - Brooklyn Nets
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Milwaukee Bucks

Dallas Mavericks - Utah Jazz
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Dallas Mavericks

Denver Nuggets - New York Knicks
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Denver Nuggets

Phoenix Suns - Atlanta Hawks
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Phoenix Suns

Odds
2.35

Mike Tyson has officially ended his podcast Hotboxin. This move isn’t totally surprising as I imagine the money pales in comparison to what he’s about to get from Netflix. This seems like Mike’s retirement if you ask me and well earned. I think after July we’ll probably only see him licensing his name for branding and not doing any more in person work.
