Oh no it's rigged because I lost money when somebody sucked out on the river against the odds.

It happens on every site and it's a good thing Wink

Yes there is the occasional crash but I can reset it within one hand by closing the program and reopening it which takes 20 seconds.  Although I haven't experienced the bug in the tourney break timer it was there when the software was running on Grid Poker who developed it.  The crashes also happened on Grid.

It's going to be fun watching people try to get their head around quantum physics Grin

From my understanding the basis of quantum computing is the phenomenon of entanglement.  Although entanglement is sometimes portrayed as information being transmitted faster than the speed of light, that is not what happens.

Volume may be low but Monero volume is in second place on Polo behind ETH.

Edit:  The point has been made before that Monero has been at or near the top in volume on Polo since it was introduced there almost 2 years ago.  Over the course of 2 years many coins have been introduced and Polo has grown.

As we flatline for a little while and the blocksize "debate" has abated I guess we are lucky to have something else to talk about Grin

At least a technically clueless person like me might actually learn something.

In other news: I know of a bridge for sale that is a good deal as it has stood the test of time Wink

Is it last year yet?

Interesting theory that Wright's friend David Kleiman (who died 3 days after telling Gavin he was moving on to other things) was Satoshi.

https://seebitcoin.com/2016/05/everything-makes-sense-if-david-kleiman-was-satoshi-nakamoto-heres-why/

Thank you for this.

In other news I wasn't correct that we had left the 440s behind.  No surprise there Grin  I know that there is so much BS to CW but didn't realize the depth of the the story.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: May 04, 2016, 02:02:28 PM
I agree with Hueristic.  I have seen no mention on red it and I also don't frequent IRC.

In other news, it's been a weeks since I have received the error messages in the daemon that many reported here several weeks ago.  Also it seems that the post hardfork naughty nodes are now virtually nonexistent.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL Is Craig Wright Satoshi Nakamoto? on: May 04, 2016, 10:52:22 AM

In light of the recent revelations by Ian Grigg (http://financialcryptography.com/mt/archives/001593.html)
I'm now considering it a possibilty that "Satoshi Nakamoto" was indeed a team of individuals where
Craig Wright played a crucial part. (If that turns out true I will apologize profusely to Gwern!)

If so, then Wright's bizarre play of both presenting himself as Satoshi and at the same time
pulling out the rug under such claims might be a part of some elaborate cloak and daggers game.

Interesting.  He makes many assertions and those lead one to believe he knows intimate details about the creation of btc.
569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 04, 2016, 12:16:22 AM
Your spacing is willy nilly.  Definately not up to standards.

In other news I was able to buy some in the 440's.  Thank you.  Today I worked 14 hrs with no break so I was not able to buy from my source.  It seems that the 440's are most likely behind us but you can never tell with the wacky world of bitcoin.

Please don't tell anybody who I am Cool
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Craig Wright turns out to be Satoshi? on: May 03, 2016, 12:14:04 AM
did anyone ask this  Craig Wright  Satoshi dude guy what he thinks about blocksize limit.

Whatever causes the price of btc to increase the quickest so he can pay the Australian tax authorities.
571  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 02, 2016, 02:56:47 PM
the first time Craig Wright said he was Satoshi I watched some videos of him talking. it was so obvious that a person such as him could in no way be Satoshi.

chest puffed out

so self-absorbed

to me this current "episode" says more about Gavin Anderson than anything else

thanks to those who can explain in technical terms that which I am clueless about.

sorry for the spaces Grin Grin

400 before
4000 after (4 months after the halving)

Why $4K in exact, I'm not against it and both of us permabulls, but why $4K in exact, why not $5K for example ?

Funny you mention $5K.  Early in 2014 that was what I was promised come August 2014, September at the latest.

Must be cheap.  Maybe that's why I bought a small amount everyday for the last 7 days.  Missed today because too busy at work.  16 hrs and I am still here.  You guys should try being a slave, you might like it.  Tongue

I was looking at coinmarketcap's listing of exchanges and see that CoinsBank is listed as the second largest BTC/USD exchange behind Bitfinex and the largest for BTC/EUR.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/?markets=all#markets

I have never heard of them.  They seem to be based out of Scotland or is that Belize Tongue

Has anybody heard of them?

We went under 0,002 a few times now. Wondering if this is the way down or the way up  Roll Eyes

i would say under ... everyone is waiting for btc to move or not move :p

Yes virtually all alts seem inextricably tied to btc right now.  This week I have been buying btc with cash.  I buy whatever I can with cash in my day to day life.  Monero is the closest thing to cash. Kiss  No I haven't been buying btc with Monero.  In the past whenever I accrued enough btc, that definition varies, it somehow became Monero.  As usual I have no idea what happens from here Tongue

Instead of TV I read or wander the world wide web, wow.  I have 2 "videos" that I just started watching.  Gravity and Entanglement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQU9yOtWrQk&nohtml5=False
At around 1:45 an older gentleman in the audience stands up and briefly talks to the audience.  That is Leonard Susskind who is great and at 75 years old is still going strong.  So with only watching a short part of the first I looked at the beginning of this second video,
Leonard Susskind | "ER = EPR" or "What's Behind the Horizons of Black Holes?" - 2 of 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiG_EtVQu5o
As Susskind oft times explains things in a way that lesser minds can grasp I probably will watch his video first.

WONDER

Yes it can be a time wasting addiction.

Hello my name is nioc and I have been without TV for 15 years.  Welcome to TV watchers anonymous
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 28, 2016, 10:16:50 PM
Right now on ShapeShift the btc deposit limit for buying Monero is 0.0018btc  Huh  I guess it will really be back shortly.

Seems fine now.

You got me excited  Cheesy but alas no  Sad

You can change >600 Moneroj to btc but still not btc to Monero.  For a moment it seemed possible but no.  There are a few coins that were just added that can't actually be bought yet with btc.
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: April 28, 2016, 09:23:13 PM
It seems Monero is back on Shapeshift:

https://shapeshift.io/#/coins

Yes it's listed but the btc deposit limit is currently too low to actually use.  Well you can buy 1 Monero  Grin   I'm sure it will be fully functional soon.

ShapeShift is back for Monero!!!

Perfect timing for me as I am going to make a btc payment soon by using XMR.TO for the first time.  I will be able to replenish those Moneroj and maybe a bit more Smiley

Anybody have a way to contact the head of Bitcoin?  I'm trying to send some and it's been 44 minutes since the last block and I see that all the recent blocks have been full.  Maybe they can hit the reset button.  Thanks Smiley
