So according to a tweet, Ja Morant is back on the 21st of December, and then the young star commented on the tweet and mentioned December 19. There are still over 60 remaining games in the regular season which means the Grizzlies still have the chance to climb their way up to the rankings. It's not easy though and it'll be a challenging season since there are only a few teams that are considered rebuilding.

Meanwhile, the powerhouse Boston Celtics' biggest fear is the sensitive Porzingis getting injured. Luckily for them, Porzingis is expected to return in less than a week. They just lost today to Indiana for the chance to enter the In-Game semi-finals.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm looking for sites with good sports predictions on: December 04, 2023, 07:40:41 AM
For many years, there were times when I tried to look for sites or someone with good sports predictions but they aren't consistent as always which is why I haven't tried paying for them. I even tried losing most of the free picks for days. Yes, some offer good analysis and stats. But it's also not that hard to get or even know the stats already if we're also closely following the sport or leagues or athletes.

So I'd rather just stick to betting on the sports and leagues where I am very much paying attention. Or we don't have to necessarily bet daily if we aren't that familiar with games.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 04, 2023, 06:59:25 AM
^^ Garcia has been doing that kind of defense though, but he was not as slick as a black boxer. However, when he moves to train under James, it was evident that maybe he teaches him that defense, the Philly shell, but Garcia has a lot to train with that, as he over exaggerate it.

And it's good to see another familiar name there, Shane Mosley Jr., obviously the son of Shane Sr. We all know that Shane Sr is a good boxer as well during his prime, defeated Oscar Dela Hoya and almost knock down Floyd Mayweather.

As for Ryan, he wants a belt at 140 lbs so he is calling Rolly Romero as his next fight. Duarte though trying to get back in this fight, unfortunately he was waived as he got up at the 9 count and still has wobbly legs.

Even though there is no title fight in the event I gave it a try because I expected good trades between Ryan and Duarte. But it ended up with Ryan using his newly learned techniques from James, the Philly Shell, and some running. There were so many openings on Ryan in that fight. Even light punchers Shakur and Haney would've easily stopped Ryan. But Duarte seemed lost in that fight. He was supposed to throw 3 to 5 right hooks on the side where Ryan is open but he can't. I guess Duarte was probably thinking about why he couldn't throw punches like he wanted to. But that was because he moved up 2 divisions north. He felt heavy and he was too slow to exploit the many openings in front of him.

If that was Ryan's last fight under GBP then he can sign with PBC to get that Rolly fight. Otherwise, he gets easily demolished by the champions, Teofimo, Prograis and Matias. But what can we expect though, he lost to Tank who's not even a world champion so how much more if he faces the real high-caliber fighters.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 04, 2023, 06:39:58 AM
As for the poll. It seems like the majority is favoring the Celtics as the first team to reach 20 wins. But looking at their next 5 games, it is favoring the Timberwolves if their momentum continues. The Celtics in their next 5 games will face Philly, Orlando, and the Cavs. Although all of these games happen in Boston.

Speaking of home-court games, there are only 2 teams that remain unbeaten at home, the defending champions Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics.

Meanwhile, the In-Season tournament starts its quarterfinal games starting tomorrow. Is there even paying attention to it? Cheesy
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: December 04, 2023, 06:17:30 AM
There's still luck involved in everything but compared to most casino games, sports betting depends more on our analysis. This is why it is important to bet only on sports that we are mostly familiar with. Having vast knowledge of athletes and teams also plays an important role in our decisions.

I love sports betting because it gives more thrill watching games. It is also challenging and a good measuring stick for my knowledge of the sport and leagues in which I am interested. And of course, we can also win in sports betting even in the long run.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 04, 2023, 05:55:32 AM
I already started buying altcoins this year although at a very slow pace. Next year I will start accumulating more especially the months before the halving. I'll still do the DCA next year although it may depend on the market situation too. I am also planning to start trading again next year.

I actually expect the market to be a little stable of a small bull run even after the halving. In the previous cycles, it's always the year after the halving that the market goes into a huge bull run. So there's still plenty of time for us to accumulate.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 04, 2023, 05:34:00 AM
This fight is fast approaching. We are only 22 days before this fight happens.

Just like on that poster/member above, i do also believe that there might be some upset of this upcoming match.
Im not that into those final words in regarding about winning but basing up on Tapales sparing partner.

“He is in very good condition,” Estrada said to GMA News. “His punches surprised me because speed and power are there. Nothing is impossible if [Inoue] brawls with Tapales. But even if they finish the rounds (and go the distance) I would still go with Tapales because he never lets up, punches a lot, closes the distance, and he is aggressive. I do not believe the people who say that [Tapales has no chance against Inoue] because he is a two-division champion and he is training hard. He is preparing hard and [is] ready to fight. From what I experienced in sparring, he is very strong.”

Source: Marlon Tapales Sparring Partner Estrada Says Tapales Has Great Shot At Beating Inoue: “He Never Lets Up” - Boxing News (https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/marlon-tapales-sparring/271422)

Preparation is intense and he do really knows on whats stake on here.

I am also giving Tapales a chance. He is indeed a 2 division champion and most people have no idea about it. Tapales also stopped 9 of his last 10 wins so his power is underrated. But of course, Inoue knows all of this. Inoue is not just all about power and skills, he's got a high IQ and doesn't underestimate opponents which is why he is at the top. So I doubt Inoue will brawl unless he feels and is not hurt by Tapales' power punches.

As for Estrada's other assessments, like Tapales' strength and condition, they may not be a good basis because he is not a world-class fighter and has no experience at that level which is why he was surprised.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 02, 2023, 11:15:11 AM
OKC winning is one thing, but its quite bad that Lakers lost this badly as well. We are talking about how good OKC is, but we are not talking about how terrible Lakers was. We are seeing the later days of Lebrons career and he is going to retire in a few seasons at most, well we have been saying that for years but seriously he looks like he may have like 2 more seasons after this at most, if he continues anything after that then I doubt he would be any good. And with that, we are basically seeing Lakers ruin his last years, and that's not really that nice, I think it should be noted that Lakers should do a lot better to put a team around him and coaching around him that could get him another ring before he retires.

You do know that the Lakers management has done everything for Lebron. Trading every potential prospect they had since the arrival of Lebron. Although he is currently having issues with injuries, but getting AD brought them a ring at least. A very costly trade but maybe worth it. The other costly trade that I consider a failure was the Westbrook trade. I'm not even sure if the Lakers have first-round draft picks soon due to their previous costly trades.

I think the Lakers are still having a decent squad especially if they're healthy. It's just that the other teams have better plays and better team chemistry.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: December 02, 2023, 10:52:07 AM
Ryan Garcia talking about wanting to become a world champion yet here is another issue with him not making the 140 limit. Luckily this is not a title fight and he is cherry-picking a 135 fighter. Duarte looked bigger than Ryan but let's not get misled that this guy is not used to fighting in this weight. So Duarte might be slower and at the same time not used to getting hit by opponents at this weight. No wonder the odds are nearing x4 already on Duarte. I'm just hoping Duarte can take Ryan's power punches so he can go near and unleash his power punches.

Yes, we will have to see both sides, Ryan's fighter carrying to 140 lbs or not or if he can take the power of Duarte. And this is Ryan supposedly first fight at 140 lbs although both are over the weight class limit. Duarte is huge no doubt about it, but we will question if he can used that power and if Ryan chin can hold with that power.

The odds though, Duarte being a huge underdog, personally, I might skip this one and probably just watch it for fun.

As for Ryan vs his boss, it's understood by now, once that contract is up, he will go and shop for other promoter, I reckon it could be just Match Room or Premier Boxing Champions of, how you call him? Al Hymen?  Grin

This is supposedly Ryan's 3rd fight in the division. He moved up in weight probably after suffering his first career knockdown against Luke Campbell. So it's a valid reason for moving up in weight to make him stronger and more comfortable.

I think Duarte has real power even if he only came from 135. The only question however is if he can manage to pin Ryan and corner him in the ropes. Ryan is more comfortable in this weight so he will be faster. And it will only bring disaster on Duarte if he becomes very slow at this 143 catchweight.

Yeah, Al Hymen will try to take Ryan in the PBC umbrella. But if Ryan is all about money then I guess he'll be in Matchroom because it has the deepest budget in boxing and a chance for the WBC belt which is held by Prograis. Al Hymen however can tempt Ryan by assuring him a fight against the undeserving and weakest champion in the division, Rolly Romero. I still see Top Rank as having the best talents in the division but Ryan may not like it as it will only bring disaster to his career.

I'm thinking that both of this 2 fighters doesn't have the intention to make that 140 lbs weight limit. I do agree that Duarte is somewhat the bigger fighter based on their physical body as he looks more dense that Ryan Garcia.

I was surprised that the bookmakers put Duarte at 4:1 underdog against Ryan. For sure they know something after the weight-in. So obviously, this is a cherry pick for Ryan just to be comfortable at 140 lbs. But still very interesting how Ryan chin will react. As I think that Duarte will go head hunting from the very first round to really put pressure on Ryan and test if he is ready from those power bombs.

Yeah, I think Duarte is a little underrated with that odds here. But maybe it's the bettors' money that moved the odds. Ryan has a huge fan base so it's possible.

Although it happened at 135, it's still possible that Ryan can be dropped when hit hard in the chin and the body. So Duarte has to go to the body more often than just headhunting. But before that, Duarte has to show at least decent speed or he can corner Ryan, then use his strength and turn the fight into a brawl. Ryan is trained by James so I expect him to become more faster and will try to box in the outside.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 02, 2023, 10:15:07 AM
Meanwhile, San Antonio failed to stop the visiting Hawks. Trae Young erupted especially in the 4th quarter. So Spurs are now on a 13-game losing streak. And it seems like the bleeding won't stop very soon since their next games they will travel to New Orleans and Minnesota.

I think it is to be expected that the Hawks are going to win, it's just a matter on what will be the handicap. And for those who bet on the Spurs on the + side, they will obviously win, but still at the end reason, they are on the losing streak and we don't know when it's going to end.

Well, the odds aren't as wide since the Hawks lost its last few games as well and the Spurs are at home. Betting on Spurs ML was tempting but the decision to take the +6.5 was right since the Hawks managed to escape a very close game.

Meanwhile in Phoenix, the Suns can only manage to make it as close to a tie in the last few minutes against the Nuggets in a very entertaining game. It's really hard to beat a team not just depending on a single player as the Nuggets scores were widely distributed. Jokic with 16 assists in the game.

612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 01, 2023, 03:04:42 PM
Everything is possible in sports betting including becoming a millionaire. But it is not an easy task though and it seldom happens to bettors. Before, I joined a group of NBA bettors where people were sharing their picks and insights. I also noticed some of them are doing what OP's story said, risking only small amounts as low as $1 but are capable of winning big amounts just like the lotteries.

I am not a fan of this type of betting though. I am mostly into 1.80 to 2.20 odds. Easier to win while at the same time challenging enough.

Do Ryan and Bernard Hopkins has a beef?

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6bytr02m4_M

Probably this is a sign that Golden Boy and Ryan Garcia are really not in terms. I don't know what is the terms between Ryan and Golden Boy, but if it seems that this could be his last fight with Oscar's promotion.

Or is this the way that they wanted to promote this fight as everyone knows that as much as Oscar Duarte looks good in paper, this is a total mismatch and so they need to create more hype in this fight?

Well, Ryan is just forced to honor his remaining contract with GBP. Earlier, Ryan tried to get out of it but GBP filed a case citing the contract is still active. It could be 1 or 2 fights under his contract. But Ryan is heading to another promotion after his contract with GBP. Oscar just remained professional but Bernard another owner of GBP said something that offended Ryan. Ryan's talkative as always so he's expected to respond. But Bernard has a point, Ryan is more like bluffing and calling champions but I doubt he is facing a champion anytime soon.

And even if Ryan wins in an impressive fashion against Duarte, it's never a good basis that he is ready for anybody at 140 since he's only facing a 135 fighter.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 01, 2023, 01:50:05 PM
OKC is back in the winning column after back to back 2 close defeats against the other top teams earlier. I thought Lebron and AD would teach young OKC some veteran plays. But OKC exploded in the second quarter with a huge rally.  I like this young team, they are pretty sure tough to beat, especially in the coming seasons.

616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 30, 2023, 09:00:34 AM
Ok guys I changed the poll. Our new question is first team to get 20 wins. Which team do you think will achieve it?

Right now Celtics is leading with 14 wins, they only need 6 more. Magic and Bucks from the East, Timberwolves and Nuggets in the West have 13 wins each. Very close race is going on right now.
I voted for the Boston Celtics, seem to be they are one of those teams that are really consistent right now. With Brown and Tatum as their leading offensive weapons, and the the rest just jiving in the right now.

Even KP seems to be back in his prime, unlike when he plays with the Denver and Wizards team. Right now he moves differently, maybe he fells that he is on the right team right now and their chances are very high again to be in the top of the East.

Cool! We're the first three to cast votes. I also voted for Boston. When it's about consistency in the regular season, it's always Boston and Milwaukee in my head but I just feel like the former is the better team. Lillard is a good addition to Milwaukee but Boston letting go of their noisy talkative players that are sometimes seen as leaders was a good decision. Tatum and Brown are very good team players and have no ego which allowed their new roster to progress.

I'm surprised that Magic is on the list and even on the second choice. I just noticed them. They're second in the eastern conference with a huge 8-game winning streak.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not this guy on: November 30, 2023, 08:20:08 AM
What OP forgot is asking that guy about his status in life. Maybe that guy is super rich and losing thousands of dollars is not material to him. I remember going into a big casino a few years ago, people are playing with bundles of money like it's nothing to them. But I expect them as rich people so I cannot say they are irresponsible gamblers.

I have a friend who has a budget of $2,000 NBA bets daily. I see nothing wrong with it since he is doing well financially. He's got businesses and some solid investments.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: November 30, 2023, 07:54:50 AM
Meanwhile, Devin Haney planned on vacating all his 135 belts after his fight with Prograis. The young kid shared his plan of making his own legacy while he was still young. He wants to become a 3-division champion.

So if he beats Prograis, he may stay short unless there are big money fights to make. Otherwise, a move to 147 is expected. I'm curious though, what if he loses to Prograis? He's having a hard time making 135 but he can make bigger money with his 3 belts rather than build his resume at 140 for another title fight opportunity. And maybe Tank Davis gains confidence and is willing to fight Haney if he loses to Prograis.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 30, 2023, 07:31:56 AM
Overall it is hard to imagine how Tapales can beat Inoue. Speed, stamina, skills, IQ, and power belong to Inoue. But we've seen in the first Donaire fight that Inoue can also get hurt. So I guess this is the only chance Tapales can exploit. Not necessarily that Tapales has to knockdown or hurt Inoue. But Inoue feeling the power of Tapales makes him less aggressive or even on the backpedal and that is the time when he is vulnerable. The biggest question however is if Tapales has the power to make Inoue respect him.

Tapales only has 19 KOs of his 37 wins but in his last 11 victories, he stopped 10 of them. That made me believe that he might have enough power to hurt Inoue if the Japanese get reckless or caught by the awkward style of Tapales.

Before, I thought about putting Bitcoin and crypto marks in my house but I didn't because maintaining my privacy, especially about bitcoin is better. The same thing happened to my earlier plans of having shirts and caps with bitcoin markings. So far I only have a tiny bitcoin logo on my phone and laptop.

Maybe in modern and open countries, this is not a problem. But lately, in my country, our government has been trying to emulate what the US is doing including Binance. Tax analysis computations are still in process. Living in a very corrupt country, I prefer to just stay private.
