621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: August 29, 2023, 12:02:03 PM

If Charlo wins then no changes for what Crawford desires, he will face instead the winner and proceed to his own timeline.

But technically speaking, although everything is possible to happen including an upset win by Charlo, I don't see any advantages he can use against the prime Canelo. I remember when Bivol was facing Canelo, only a few believed that the former would win but the result didn't say the same. I can't apply that same scenario to Charlo facing Canelo.

Anyway, let's wait for the winner of the Canelo-Charlo bout and speculate everything from there.

Both the players Charlo and Crawford had their equal opportunities to win the game. The players should try equal try to win the game. The game between Bivol and Canelo itself explain the exact situation now.The crowd opinion is Canelo, but the same was changed at the end.Bivol win the game with the support of the judges.I hope same will not happen now to Canelo.Even now the crowd opinion will be Canelo compared to the Crawford. When you compared the support of 100 people in the community, the seventy people will support Canelo.

At that time, it was so hard to support and bet against Canelo Alvarez because honestly, we've certainly known him far more compared to Dmitry Bivol who is just a champion on our eyes but wasn't really a threat because he doesn't have someone strong in his record that he already defeated. And so, at that time, we did expected that Canelo can defeat Bivol because that wasn't Canelo's first fight at 175 either as he already managed to defeat a boxer way back named Kovalev.

But then, we thought it wrong because Bivol proved to us that he's definitely a different boxer than Kovalev and can defend his belt successfully unlike the latter. In-fact at that time when he fought Canelo, Bivol was under heavy pressure because it was also the beginning of Russia-Ukraine war.

Canelo certainly holds several advantages, but it appears that his power might not be sufficient to overcome Bivol, who seems quite established in his current weight class. Similarly, if Crawford were to move up three weight divisions to face Canelo, many might predict a loss for him. However, boxing is renowned for its unpredictability, and surprises are always possible. It's worth noting that Crawford has already achieved significant accomplishments in his career, so he might not feel the need to prove anything further. Ultimately, the outcome of such matches remains uncertain, so let's see if Crawford would make history again.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to collect altcoins now or later? on: August 27, 2023, 09:53:31 AM
Planning about collection some MORE altcoins and thats why i manage extra money for that. But market situation is still confusing and today Altcoins dump minimum 10% even more. So is it really right to collect altcoins?  Or another dump will be coming before bull run? Should i postponed my invest or not? I post this in speculation sector cause we can only predict!  And I'll go with the most predicted result
It is an accumulation time for altcoins, we consider this dip to take the opportunity to buy promising coins at cheaper prices. But there is one thing I would say to you OP and to everyone, especially for newbies is to stick to our limitations. Why? Over spending could affect our budgeting and targets and if we want to succeed we must adhere to our goals and plan. And most of all, we are sure that we are buying the right coin, not just because it was on the top altcoins but also, it is because it is currently performing so well.
623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does monitor size affect trading? on: August 27, 2023, 05:27:35 AM
Is it just for aesthetics? or does trading on a big screen have an effect on the outcome of your trade. I often see that professional traders have created a work space for themselves where they invest heavily into hardware and big monitor screens. So I wonder if trading on bigger monitor screen has a better effect on trading because I think that with the big screens a trader will be able to make better analysis. Is this my opinion correct or is there no special effect that trading on big screen has?
Well, clear vision is very important, and the size matters but not a lot. Of course, if we compared using a phone vs a laptop/desktop computer, I can say it was better on the laptop or PC. And I say not a lot because it also matters in our strategies as well. Because is makes no sense to have a big screen when trading if we are not consistent and our strategies are ineffective as we still end up losing as the only advantage that it gives is only a wide view that we can see right away without a need to zoom in/out.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 25, 2023, 07:44:47 AM
but let's find out later on as the first game will start in 30 minutes from now. I'm referring to Angola vs Italy.
This game might not be particularly interesting to watch, but it's the first game of the tournament, so there will probably still be a lot of people tuning in. I checked the betting sites, and Italy is the heavy favorite. Here are the odds and the spread:

Italy (no betting odds)
Angola (x28)

The spread is currently -21.5.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 25, 2023, 02:40:02 AM
Here are the current odds for that particular game:

Moneyline:
Pilipinas 5.50
Dominican Republic 1.15
Spread: +10.5

Are you gonna take the moneyline or the spread?

Understandable though to see such a huge gap in the odds provided the Dominican Republic is a powerhouse team regardless if Karl Anthony Towns is there or not.
Aside from that, rankings play a big factor in odds distribution regardless if it's a host country or not. If someone will have to bet on our Gilas, it's not about the hue gap but rather to show support from the country.

I myself, understand the distance between Gilas and the Dominicans but no way I will support the latter for an obvious reason.

Though technically, performance is the key, I hope the expected big boost from the crowd will fuel the Gilas to play at their top level.

To be safe, betting on the handicap might be the right choice here. +10.5 seems reasonable, considering it's their first game and they have the energy and the crowd's support. The opponents are quite strong, so maybe we can compensate with our 3-point shooting, as it's difficult to penetrate the interior, especially with Town there. I guess no big man has a favorable matchup against Town; he's capable of dominating everyone.

Here's the roster for Dominican Republic. https://basketnews.com/news-193501-karl-anthony-towns-headlines-final-12-man-dominican-republic-roster.html

I think the size average isn't that much compared to the Philippines.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 25, 2023, 02:15:06 AM
New York Times is reporting a quote from Giannis Antetokounmpo where he alludes to signing with a new team for the first time ever. Definitely trouble for the Bucks. He’s going to play for them this year, but to me it sounds like he’s preparing them for a departure after the season. If he goes to the Warriors and pairs with Curry, it will be the greatest team ever built.

I don't see why he would be leaving the Bucks.  I mean maybe there's internal struggles we haven't heard about, or perhaps things I simply haven't heard about, but lets say he does..greatest team ever? I think that's a bit of a stretch.  Curry is getting old, and although he's still the greatest shooter ever, he's getting old.  Klay isn't the same player he use to be either.

No way that team is better than the 72-10 Bulls.  Though of course I am biased.

Giannis probably still can't accept that they were beaten by the Miami Heat when they were the heavy favorites. When a team is struggling, problems also arise internally. So, maybe he doesn't want to remain in that environment anymore. Signing with another team would give him a fresh start, and perhaps he is hoping to join a team that hasn't won a championship yet, so he can bring new success to his resume and be considered one of the greats in the NBA.

I'm also wondering if he leaves the Bucks, would he take his brother with him?Grin
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you gained anything after the end of bull run? on: August 24, 2023, 11:24:56 AM
Well, OP...I couldn't say I was in profit because I'd never sell any but just keep on holding waiting for the next bull season.
But despite the situation that we take these days, I could still think that some people have it good and earn a few bucks especially if you can play the market so well. But if you are in long-term investment, I couldn't think if they have gained any considering that they are just buying. Maybe if you are in trading, earning is not impossible.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Young people should take more advantage of the crypto space. on: August 24, 2023, 10:55:43 AM
Young people not faced problem when getting down with their investment and keep more patience waiting until cryptocurrency assets up again, difference with adult and have family, they don't have more patience because can't manage with their family needed in daily day and selling cryptocurrency assets is the first option thing.
You can't be sure of that what I notice is that this current generation is more impatient than the old one. Of course, their exposure to crypto seems to be their advantage but I still don't think that they will take this opportunity as well. Because the truth is that not all want Bitcoin, not all want to become patient, and most of all, not all can afford to take risks. Generally, although they know about crypto, however, this will remain an option for them if they want to take part in crypto journey or ignore it.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: August 24, 2023, 03:09:23 AM
If it happens two years from now when Canelo is in the twilight of his career then I'll go for Crawford but if this happens in May of next year then no doubt I'll go for Canelo as Crawford is just too small for him, I mean he needs at least 2-3 fight to prove his worth on the 168lbs division. I think he is just calling Canelo as this is a money fight for him of the latter took the bait.

We might want to note that Canelo is younger than Crawford. Canelo is almost 3 years his junior. If this dream fight happens two years from now, Canelo is indeed approaching the twilight of his career. Crawford, on the other hand, is already approaching 40. Age is probably one of the reasons why Spence was running away and delaying his fight against Crawford. That's an off-topic opinion, though.

It would be an amazing moment in boxing's history if this fight takes place, especially if the two remain on a winning streak when the match happens. Crawford will, however, prove his worth in 154 first. If he proves to be effective and natural in this weight, and wins fights, then he could allow his body to continue gaining weight and reach 168. But he shouldn't be confronting Canelo right away. It would be the same process. If he proves that he can handle the weight naturally, without compromising his movements, quick responses, and so on, then he could face Canelo.

As to their physical stats, they're pretty much the same. Crawford has, of course, a longer reach though.

Canelo struggled against Mayweather, who is a good defender and quicker as well. Probably, Crawford sees the weaknesses of Canelo, as although he has power, he can be outboxed, as was evident in the fight against Bivol. The match might be even in the eyes of the fans. Although Crawford is not fighting in his comfortable weight, given his achievements, his undefeated record, and the hype generated when he beat Spence in a one-sided beatdown, all these factors will come into play.

For now, Canelo still has business to take care of. It might be a bit early to discuss, but at least we can have an open discussion about the possibility of this fight happening. I'm sure both camps are eager to make this happen, as it could be the biggest payday for both fighters. Who knows, they might even surpass the PPV revenue generated by Mayweather in his fights.

As fans, it would really satisfy us to see the best fighters in the ring, with no excuses or dodging. They will prove who is the best.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2023, 02:15:32 AM
They may try load management just like what the Clippers is doing with Kawhi, but again there's no escaping injuries once it hit you.
New Orleans fans are getting restless, he needs to be better this season.
The best thing to do if they want to limit the possibility of Zion getting injured again is to take that load management thing. If the Raptors were successful with the load management they applied to Leonard, I see no reason why the Pelicans wouldn't be able to do the same. The good thing about the Pelicans is that even without Zion, they can still make the playoffs. This is a relief, as they can choose to let Zion focus on the playoffs.

However, fans might not like this load management approach, as they come to see their favorite players on the court. Zion is the team's best player, so it might disappoint some fans. Nevertheless, business is business, and the team needs to focus on what's best for the overall team.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oleksandr Usyk VS Daniel Dubois For The Undisputed heavyweight champion on: August 23, 2023, 01:32:53 PM
Usyk needs to win this fight, as there's a rumor that he's up for a big match against Fury in Saudi Arabia. Based on the records, there's only a small disparity, but in terms of the quality of the fight, I see Usyk having the advantage here, as he has beaten AJ twice, who is one of the best in the heavyweight division.

Daniel Dubois, on the other hand, is not undefeated; he suffered a loss against Joe Joyce through KO. So, I wouldn't be surprised if Usyk manages to KO him.

As the betting odds suggest, this is a sure win for Usyk.
Quote
Fighter   Odds
Daniel Dubois   +700
Oleksandr Usyk   -1250
https://www.oddsshark.com/boxing/usyk-vs-dubois-odds-betting-picks

Judging by the betting odds, this appears to be a total mismatch. I won't be expecting much from Dubois, as I see it as another easy fight for Usyk. Just think about it: if those odds are accurate, betting $100 on Dubois could win you $700. It's insane and likely attractive to those who believe Dubois will pull off an upset.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New bull market or new bear market ahead? on: August 23, 2023, 10:15:08 AM
Normally it should be bear when you accumulate then sell it if bull market happens, but its hard to determine if we are in bear or bullish situation since there are times that we think that this is the final dip but turns out there will be more to come and we get trap with it.
Also there are scenarios that we expect the bull run came but it stabilize on certain price level so for this situation we need to be more updated on any situation so that we can do some good decision if the market is not going on the direction where we like to go.
Now, the situation is uncertain but for me, I don't see it going to again, no more $20k at this time as we are done already with it.
Till now, we don't have any assurance for the price to recover shortly but I know we are going that moment, yet it will take time to arrive.
What we gonna do for now is to keep calm and strong. I do not often check the market price because I don't want to think negatively about the current situation, so adjust and wait. As long as I'd never sell my Bitcoin, I'd never lose any.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC will hit new high, as crypto bull billionaire predict on: August 23, 2023, 09:42:17 AM
Do people still believe in this kind of 'billionaire prediction', I don't think so, they always say the prediction vaguely. 'Bitcoin will hit new high' nothing on the date, not even the year. They not even say the highest price they think Bitcoin could go before another sideways or bearish. Bitcoin will definitely hit new high, everyone could predict that, but it could be this year, next year or next 10 years, the time is the thing that need to be predicted.
I believe that Bitcoin will hit another HIGH but talking about a certain price, that is somewhat impossible, really.
Everyone seems to have their speculations, some agree with others while some are not. But it was not a big deal actually because whether we liked it or not, nobody had made it right and all our speculations were wrong. However, despite that situation, optimism remains, and keep believing that Bitcoin will skyrocket once again.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream is coming close. on: August 22, 2023, 09:57:32 PM
People who are annoyed by the declining price of Bitcoin due to buying at high prices, while those who are enthusiastic about this condition will welcome happily because they can get Bitcoin at low prices. This is how the rotation of feelings that everyone has with certain conditions that occur in the Bitcoin market. On the one hand investors need to prepare mentally and be patient until the price increases again, while on the other hand those who want to get Bitcoin in large quantities will continue to increase the number of their assets while the price is cheap. The enthusiasm for getting Bitcoins will give you the opportunity to collect more bitcoins while the prices are cheap.

That is why we have to understand the word "Volatility" because, at any time, the price of Bitcoin will either pump or dump. This is why, if we are able to understand this, we never feel too emotional when seeing the current situation but instead, we are still calm. Because while some people are selling their Bitcoin, some investors also had taking advantage of buying it.
If we are investing in Bitcoin or altcoins, we adhere also to understanding how the volatility works. This is why, if we wanted to earn more, therefore, we also have to buy more and sell high, not buy high and sell low.
635  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad economic situation makes bitcoins more difficult to keep. on: August 22, 2023, 09:35:26 PM
Inflation is the cause of this, that is why your income might not be able to meet up with your needs anymore. You don't need to start selling your bitcoin only if you have invested more than the amount that you are suppose to invest. This is where the problem lies because when there is an emergency need, you are left with no option than to sell off. That's is why you need to have various means of cash inflow to enable you not sell your bitcoin or you need to invest based on your cash inflow at a given period of time. Inflation can destabilize one bitcoin accumulating plan or your plan to hold for long if you can't be flexible with the changes in the cost of living.
People invest in Bitcoin for some reason and they would sell them when they are in need. We can't stop them either nor urge them that just hold because some of these investors are weak, they will easily get into panic once they saw a decline. But I don't see it was a problem because this is really how the crypto market works and this is how the volatility showed to us. It is definitely we can't see Bitcoin keep on high but we also see its price dump for any reason that is why we always have to be prepared for what will happen next.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 22, 2023, 11:18:37 AM
We could call his recent weight though as out of shape, but he can carry that body, and he is still very agile so we can't question about his shape or what because he could be a freak of nature.
He looks out of shape, judging by the picture shared, but it doesn't matter as he has already proven that he is the best in the heavyweight division. When he defeated Wilder, he solidified his legacy in the division he currently reigns over. So, even if he does not look as intimidating with that body, I have no doubt he can still be the best once he steps into the ring.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 22, 2023, 10:24:03 AM

Enough about James Harden. I think I've found an interesting topic to discuss.

Pelicans star Zion Williamson shows off new look in viral photos

Take a look at these viral pictures. What can you say about his appearance? He has been criticized for being overweight, with some suggesting that his weight is the reason he is prone to injuries. However, when you look at this 'scary man' now...
Ooh, papi.
He is ripped. Well, it's part of his contract. To lessen that weight off him and avoid injuries. Let's hope he is doing it correctly and we can see some new highlights from him.
This guy will change the path of the New Orleans Pelicans if he can play the whole season. They might even have the chance to take the top 3 spots in the league. I mean, without him they played great with Brandon Ingram leading the pack. With him, I bet that's a large plus for the team.

It's a new look for Zion this coming season. I don't want to hype myself up a lot as he has disappointed me many times already. However, I'm seeing the hard work he has put in, as evidenced by his new look. I hope people will refrain from criticizing him, as it's not his fault he got injured. In fact, he is still trying to help the team, and hopefully, he will be able to please us once again.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to teach older people about bitcoin technology? on: August 21, 2023, 12:33:58 PM
Bitcoin has captured the center of attention, especially with the younger generations showing keen interest in it. Yet, there are those who believe that teaching older individuals about it might not be a wise investment of time. However, we must ponder: does it carry value? This conversation revolves around the question of whether it's worthwhile to educate older generations about bitcoin.
Why not, there is no age limit for teaching Bitcoin even to older people. The capacity of Bitcoin is not only for certain circles, as long as these people are willing to accept Bitcoin in their life, they can receive knowledge about Bitcoin and then get involved in it. The openness of Bitcoin to anyone will make it easier for people who are interested to become part of the investors who have been involved in Bitcoin investment for a long time. As long as they are able to take the time to learn how to invest in Bitcoin there will be no useless knowledge.
Learning and teaching Bitcoin is not just a trend but we are spreading the right information in order to correct wrong information that has spread mostly in the social. Although teaching oldies was not really important but we also let them gain knowledge about Bitcoin because it was their right as well. As long as they have an interest in Bitcoin, the more we have to spend time teaching them because this would give a huge impact on the community and could also be shared with their family. Maybe it was a big challenge for them because of the technology use but I see how helpful it was to promote Bitcoin when these oldies are already believe it.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we need to buy meme coin? on: August 21, 2023, 11:57:37 AM
Because
Sleep dreams that the tendency to suddenly become rich Cry

This is not really normal because meme coin is more dangerous in this crypto market. They always collect money from investors by showing amazing attractive offers. In reality their project does not last long in the market because most of the team members of meme coin are new generation and they have less experience. They are coming to the market only to grab the investor capital completely.
People had invested in meme coins because of the influence of social media influencers. Yes, they are tempting enough during the hypes as many people show their huge profit investing meme coins but it was not the one that we looked for, we need at least some assurance for the project to stay longer and it grows because of its potentiality not just during its hypes. Meme coins are known for their hype and Elon Muk's influence, not because they are valuable and have a use case which is a big factor why I don't encourage newbies to invest in them.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 18, 2023, 01:31:40 PM
It's unfortunate that there is no coverage for the tune-up game between Gilas and Ivory Coast as it is a closed door event, the don't want scout to know their system hehe.
Are there betting odds for this particular game? It's understandable if they won't be showing the game live, but having betting odds available would be helpful as we can still check the outcome. Maybe the box score would be sufficient. I'm not sure if this is the rule for all tune-up games or just for this specific one. If I'm not mistaken, I believe there were some tune-up games that were broadcast live. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, there are odds in my favorite crypto bookies and at the moment the Gilas squad is ahead by a slim margin of six point, this only shows that Gilas is no push-over team anymore.

Thank you for sharing the live odds, kabayan. I am currently monitoring them, and I'm happy to see that the Philippines seems to be winning this game. We are already in the 4th quarter, and the score is 74-58 in favor of Gilas. I would like to extend my congratulations in advance to you, kabayan, if you were able to bet on this game.
