681  Economy / Economics / Re: What kind type of market player you are? on: July 23, 2021, 06:25:51 AM
I am more of a mix of investor and speculator because I gamble a percentage of my capital by putting them in risky and new coins hoping that they will yield some sort of money. So far, it's doing good speculating because I made a decent money out of it vut I don't want that wins get over my head and risk an all in.
682  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: July 23, 2021, 05:49:56 AM
I'm not going out of crypto, I currently have a coffee shop business earning $60/day. I will continue to use crypto as my side income and investment. the money that can be made from crypto is very large, why do I have to leave.
Good for you that you have other streams of income that makes you much less susceptible to panic selling since you can't worry too much if the prices go down since you have other means to make money. I plan to do the same but I think that I will have to make sure that I put the right amount of money so it's not going to go under.
683  Economy / Economics / Re: Central bank digital currency will improve the use cases and value of Bitcoin on: July 23, 2021, 05:11:33 AM
I don't know about that part because I feel like if CBDC becomes a thing in a country, it becomes a catalyst for governments to ban other cryptocurrencies because they think that cryptocurrencies threaten their project so they try to eliminate competition like what China did.
684  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies replace fiat currencies on: July 23, 2021, 04:05:09 AM
Not yet. The whole world is equal to the dollar, and is used to the dollar and local currencies.
I have no idea what will happen if financial systems disappear leaving only cryptocurrency, how will we determine the value of certain things in cryptocurrency?
I'll tell you what happens, we will see the whole financial world collapse right in front of our eyes because cryptocurrency alone won't be able to handle the sudden vacuum in power that was in place after the fiat is gone although that's not the likely scenario to happen, most likely it will be a slow absorption until it becomes all digital.
685  Other / Archival / Re: El Salvadorans are not happy about accepting bitcoin as a means of payment on: July 22, 2021, 03:24:17 PM
77% is a lot of people, that's probably the reason why some people including me that expected the price to go up because of the declaration that bitcoin is a legal tender didn't happen. I think this will take time and all it needs is for the government to not budge and stick to the plan, people will adapt to it in the end.
686  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial freedom and success comes from knowledge on: July 22, 2021, 02:50:35 PM
Financial success is the key to life. who is successful in the financial sector I think he or she is a successful hole in life. now come to the point of knowledge. every success depends on good knowledge. without knowledge, anybody can not succeed in life.so I agree only very good knowledge can give us financial freedom.
It's not just that because if that's the only key then rich people won't commit suicide because they've fulfilled the key to life. I disagree with this because there's no satisfaction when it's just a selfish pursuit to finances. There are people out there that don't have a lot of money but is much happier than those that have money, those are the people that have found the key to life.
687  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the popularity of cryptocurrency continue? on: July 22, 2021, 02:06:11 PM
I think it will continue, it's not like every person on this planet knows the beauty and awesomeness of cryptocurrencies, and I don't it warrants for us to worry about the popularity of cryptocurrencies, it's here to stay and it won't disappear like a bubble in the air.
688  Economy / Economics / Re: Does studying Economics in School make one to be economical or what on: July 22, 2021, 01:31:41 PM
It could definitely but there's a small percentage in that group of people that studies Economics in school to not become economical themselves which is understandable given that not everyone is interested in Economics but at the very least it makes them aware about the subject and the things that it teaches.
689  Economy / Economics / Re: EU wants to ban crypto anonymous transactions and wallets on: July 22, 2021, 12:17:53 PM
Fiat is a serious problem, then, because most money laundering is carried out using cash. And don't think that abolishing cash would help either. Large amounts of electronic money are laundered via corporate networks and international transfers through tax havens.
Maybe in the past but right now, I think that launderers are trying their luck with cryptocurrency because of the advent rise of privacy coins so I don't think that it's not just fiat anymore but also cryptocurrencies and we have to be really proactive when it comes to this kind of thing. I mean no matter how we don't like it, terrorism is much more problem.
690  Economy / Economics / Re: On Cuba and economy on: July 22, 2021, 10:10:11 AM
I think the protests is because of the pandemic not being able to resolved or being under control by the current regime. Plus another reason is that people are probably sick and tired of the current regime because they haven't made the lives of their countrymen easier which proves that communism doesn't work in practice.
691  Economy / Economics / Re: Only young and naive guy believe in high risk high return on: July 22, 2021, 09:32:48 AM
Well, if being naive is taking high risk then call me as one because the moment that I have invested in bitcoin I was ready for all the risk that there is for me to see. Also, isn't life all about taking risks and taking the win? If you don't take risk OP then you are probably a coward.
692  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do most cryptocurrencies rise and fall together? on: July 22, 2021, 08:44:43 AM
This is just a theory but I think that it's because some of them are tied together so for example one of them were to ever go down which causes some of the investors of another coin that's connected to the coin that's going down to think that the prices for the other are also going down.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: What event could trigger new bull run and ATHs? on: July 22, 2021, 08:04:40 AM
Maybe more countries adopting bitcoin like what El Salvador did could be the biggest trigger for another bull run and ATH. Although that's a wishful thinking on me because they might see adoption as a threat to their power like what China did.
694  Economy / Economics / Re: End Game? on: July 22, 2021, 06:52:26 AM
It is undoubtedly true that bitcoin has now evolved into an investment rather than payment. I have seen a surge of people coming into these sphere trusting bitcoin that it could skyrocket their investment.

Most probably, I can see bitcoin could still be use in the near future. Many projects are coming out for bitcoin utility like SOVRYN. The DeFi for bitcoin.
I think that it's more of an improved but not evolved because evolved implies that it left the early parts of it which didn't happen to bitcoin. I think that we are going to be seeing much bigger increase in the prices in the near future.
695  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto lead to the next financial crisis? on: July 21, 2021, 02:02:42 PM
Not really. Lets say that "bitcoin is in a bubble" - the amount of bitcoin in the economy compared to other magnitudes is insignificant. Just for the shake of comparison, and I do not consider Bitcoin like tulips, when the crash of the tulips bubble happened, the economy of the country itself did not suffer much. An unlikely massive crash of bitcoin as of now would not make a significant dent on the worlds economy - albeit it would in individual economies including mine.
It's not really a good thing to compare bitcoin to a bubble because bubbles work different and have a different effect, th Tulip Mania didn't affect the economy because rich people are the only ones that buy it and I don't think that not every Dutch bought it and there's the Housing Bubble of 2008, it did affect the economy. I don't think that bitcoin is going to cause a financial crisis because as @ paxmao said, it's not a lot and it represents only a small percentage of the market.
696  Economy / Economics / Re: How to Start A Cryptocurrency Exchange Step-by-Step on: July 21, 2021, 01:27:58 PM
Launching a crypto exchange is not easy, way more harder than introducing a new crypto project, if you are planning to do this I suggest you work with top crypto exchanges first to atleast have some good idea, read about CZ online you will see that binance isn't where he started his crypto journey, he worked with top exchanges in the last
You can always start small, remember that most come from it and then slowly expand, you don't have to work with the big ones to know how it works but it's a welcoming option to do if you want to be meticulous about it.
697  Economy / Economics / Re: The Rothschilds have quadrupled their stake in BTC since April on: July 21, 2021, 12:52:45 PM
I just learnt something from this family and I know it must be one of the facts that they still remain relevant and one of the wealthy ones in the European countries is that they look at investment not from the face value but the future value, some people will never invest in bitcoin as at that April because of the drop in price but real investors will because is a long-run investment that will yield multiple profits for them.
It's not just that but they are also one of the oldest family in Europe meaning that they have a really deep influence in many countries because they mainly operate on banks.
698  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: July 21, 2021, 11:59:45 AM
There's no answer to that question unless there's a study conducted that tries to settle who is much more happier. In my opinion, it's a subjective matter in terms of happiness because sometimes what's fun to you, isn't fun for the other people. Plus, crypto and stocks is vastly different because crypto is much more volatile so a one digit percentage increase isn't sparking joy for crypto investors but for a stock market investor, that's a payday for them.
699  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: July 21, 2021, 11:20:03 AM
If you only save though, it wouldn't help because if you are a conventional type of saving then you aren't protected against inflation, on the other hand, I think that saving money on banks and slowly investing money at the same time is a much better idea.
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 21, 2021, 10:35:08 AM
I think that their a bit over the top because you have greed and lust in your establishment and I think that that kind of business destroys marriages more than anything especially if the sexy casinos have their own escort services where patrons can ask for their services no questions asked.
