^  Ah...  So you already know the results.  I could tell you my thougnt process now on why Soulkey was actually the way better pick than Mini and I should've seen it after watching the quarter finals and the semi finals.

I realized that when faced with adversity, Soulkey tends to rise on the occassion and overcome the challenges of going against a tough opponent.  He was 3 - 2 vs JyJ in a tough out and 4 - 3 vs Rush in another really touch turn out but won both.  We know what kind of player he is and he showed his desire to win.

With Mini we don't really know his mindset coming into the finals.  He breezed through Sharp at the quarters with 3 - 1 and went 4 - 0 in a very easy match vs Effort.  So coming into the finals we have no idea how he'll react when faced with adversity...  But unfortunately I found out when he was down 0 - 3.  Cheesy

Anyway congrats on the win.  Til next time...  ASL 17 will be in a couple of months.

^  Mmm I don't think Chimaev is going after the strap at 170.  He was originally match up with Costa who's currently 6th at the rankings at 185.  And now he's fighting Usman on short notice, still at 185...  :/  So I guess the original plan for Chim was to fight Costa then fight somebody in 185's top 5 then a title fight.

Vids...  Enjoy.

^  Ah..  The usual shenanigans again.  Lol.  And they are everywhere.  You see them wherever they there's some sort of chance to get some free money, it doesn't matter how much.  It's really funny as they're putting their online reputation on the line just to get what?  Just a couple of bucks?

And is having two different people in the same house not allowed?  Me and a couple of guys used to live in the same place and we all played online poker at Poker Stars and Full Tilt using one connection.  Never really had any problems.

Did you guys watch the event?  Barboza still going at it at 38 and another old guy Elkins at 39.  Lol.  The UFC must be thinking how could they make these guys retire and get rid of them from the roster.  Lolol.  They just wouldn't go.  But they were good matches.  Nice to see some underdogs win, esp if it's the older fighters showing the younger prospects what's what...  :/

706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layerzero Speculation airdrop on: October 14, 2023, 12:40:22 PM
For that, they need to remove the Sybil and bot wallets. Otherwise, it will be a shit drop.  but the problem is that Layerzero's CEO said they do not care about Sybil wallets. I don't know he said it to farm the layer zero airdrop. because nowadays protocols give some fake hints farm the airdrops..

Six months ago, the CEO of LayerZero Labs Bryan Pellegrino announced the size of the average transaction on the network, so as not to be considered a sybil. And it should be $2000 - https://twitter.com/PrimordialAA/status/1643648195128606721 I hope that he has revised his views by this issue over the past time, otherwise few people will receive an airdrop from L0.

In my experience with Arbitrum, which I really didn't expect to be eligible for the airdrop, I just used it for less than couple of months or so thru Dopex, GMX and a little bit of RDNT and Jones.  I didn't even realize that I had more than 10k USD in transactions over there.  So I was really surprised to see that it was enough to be eligible for the airdrop.  I think it's gonna be the same for Layer Zero.  They'll see wallet activity and they'll know which ones are just botting the network for the airdrop and which ones are the organic users of the likes Stargate Finance and Layer Zero supported protocols.

Btw...  I'm hearing talks that Aptos is gonna have another airdrop round.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: October 14, 2023, 12:24:03 PM
^  Ten Hag not really a good manager, sure...  You could say that.  Who do you think could save United?

Manchester United didn't get along with Ten Hag. Ten Hag actually made the decision that affected Ronaldo's career. If I remember correctly, Ten Hag didn't want him in the team when he was going to continue playing. Maybe this is one of the biggest mistakes he made. If Ronaldo had stayed in the team, he could have been a big brother to the young players and contributed to their development. If Ten Hag doesn't get the team together soon, there is no way they won't be eliminated from the Champions League.

Nope, dropping Ronaldo is really one of the right decisions he made.  He was popular but he was somewhat a nuisance for Ten Hag because the squad had to revolve around him and the way he plays because he really doesn't defend all that well.  I think any manager would find old Ronaldo a nuisance as he wasn't like the dynamic striker or winger he was when he was younger.

The lack of United's success post Ferguson is just one of those things you know..?  It happened to Liverpool, Man United and it will surely happen to City when Guardiola leaves.
I don't think Ten Hag is a good manager, when he was manager at Ajax it was the players who made him a star. If Manchester United had Ronaldo, I think the squad would have been better. At least they would have kept the ball forward and it wouldn't have been such a problem for them to concede goals.

I'd still have to say no.  Even if you put Klopp, Guardiola or Poch in at United at the time when Ronaldo came back to the club, I really think they'd be a lot faster in dropping Ronaldo cos the squad has to adjust and has to be built around him because he doesn't really defend all that much.  I don't think the great managers would give two fcks about Ronaldo if it's gonna pull the rest of the squad behind.

And if Ronaldo's was really that good then why did the club get rid of him anyway..?  :/  He's old and he isn't what he used to be when he could get away without defending all that much.  And the high weekly wages...  Ugh.
Ronaldo is one of the most incredible players we've seen in recent years. Even though he's older, he's a character who can really add a lot to the players and the team in terms of experience. When there were teams who wanted to take advantage of him, he chose to go to Saudi Arabia. This is of course his own decision and his own career, unfortunately nobody has the right to interfere in this. He could have played for a team in Europe and become a big brother and transfer his experience to the players of the team. Now that ManU are trying to build a squad of young players, I think he should have been utilized. I don't think it's important for him to play defense because you can do it with 10 players.

Uh no.  Lol.  But if you think he'll still be a good addition to the squads of the biggest clubs in Europe, sure go on right ahead.  But I beg to differ and I guess the top managers have already showed us that they wouldn't want to acquire an old, overpaid player and what could be problematic tactical situations on the pitch due to reasons that I've already said in my posts prior.

And no club in Europe wanted to take advantage of him...  It's just because he prolly realized that he's done in Europe.  So he went to Saudi Arabia to get paid the big bucks before he retires.
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 14, 2023, 12:11:15 PM

Was announced that they gonna fight as middleweights, not welterweights? I think bookies give Usman very low value. 1) he had 5 title defenses 2) he was winning that fight when he has lost his title 3) he is a wrestler also 4) he has one of the best striking coaches. What we got from Chimaev: 1) strength 2) self confidence 3) wrestling. But that self confidence played bad when Burns started to land punches in exchanges. Where strength is, there is also stamina nearby. I would value Usman for around 2.00 honestly and give Chimaev 1.40-1.50 only due to his series of wins and hype. In fact, I would not be surprised if Usman wins.

Actually I favor Usman but if it turns out to be middlewight then I can't place my bet on Usman. I agree with all the facts you have mentioned regarding Usman's quality but the problem is the same as Volk. Moving up to class is not too difficult, especially since Usman really looks like a Middleweight man. But Chimaev is a big guy and looks like he has almost the same natural weight as a light heavyweight. I think it will be a tough fight for Usman.

Usman is huge for 170 which could make him sit in right well with the guys at 185.  He's line could be value with it at around 3.25 - 3.40 depending on the sports betting site you make bets in.  And he has fought some of the more experienced guys in the UFC.  It's going to be a tough match for Chimaev imho.  :/  Too bad it's just gonna be for three rounds.

Ok guys, last look at the fighters before getting your bets in if you haven't yet.

Hah!  Hope so tbh.  Always good to see some long green candles at the chart.  Hope it props up a lot of the alts too and make it a party.  Grin

So ok...  I think we're seeing a bit of change in sentiment as the guys who voted for 28k and above and 30k and above seems to be getting quiet as of late.  And we're starting to see a couple of 'sideways from 25k to 28k' guys coming out of the wood work.

But yeah..  And for the final match of ASL 16, it's a coin flip.  Mini is lined at 1.90 and Soulkey is at 1.80.  I lean mini but seeing how Soulkey played on through and got the win vs Rush from behind, dunno...  :/
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 13, 2023, 12:11:04 PM
And I have always been curious how Usman would look like at 185 as he's a huge for 170.  I guess we'll see in what could be the fight of the night for the event.  And the books lined Usman at 3.40...  Remembering how Chimaev fared vs the smaller guy in Burns, I think that's a lot of value on Usman.  Do the books really think Chimaev will finish or dominate the match?  Against Usman?  Dunno...  But I think the line is too wide unless Usman has some sort of injury or something.

Was announced that they gonna fight as middleweights, not welterweights? Costa has always been a 185'er, so no.  Chimaev was scheduled to fight at 185 with or without Costa pulling it.  I guess it's an opportunity for Chimaev since Adesanya lost the belt to Strickland...  Now they want another fan favorite in the mix.  Not that Strickland isn't a fan favorite now.  He's actually pretty good on the mic if he isn't goofing around.

And I guess Usman found it as an opportunity to try 185 too.  There were talks that he wanted to move up straight to 205 because he didn't want to fight Adesanya at 185.

Here are a couple of vids of the guys who for me should be the co main event.

^  I feel like those low cost AI tokens are cheap attempts at developing an 'AI project'.  Even FET, AGIX and OCEAN looks like it the more I think about it.  I guess I got excited as the charts look like they were gonna start trending up big and go super nova just like what most alts did at January.

But that doesn't mean AI won't be a huge thing in crypto in a couple of years.  If anything, I think it's time to look for the projects that are really trying to build something in AI.  It could be the next wave that could bring a lot of good investments in crypto...

But I would agree that the line being at 1.73 this early in the season has no value and betting on it would totally make no sense as an outright bet.

Its said that Usman who will fight against Chimaev. And whoever wins will hve a title shot against Leon.

While I wanted more to watch Chimaev vs Costa due to their trashtalk drama, a fight against Usman is also a good challenge. I would say that Usman is more challenging than Costa. At least Usman is in p4p rating Cheesy Well, we gonna see if that highkick that Edwards landed in 2022 was a game changer for Camaru or not. Based on Chimaev fight against Burns, it seems that Chimaev gas tank isnt unlimited, in third round he breathed heavily. While Usman had 9 5round fights.

Yup, I totally like he new match ups better at the main and co main event tbh.

Recent news, Oliveira is out from ufc 294 due to an eye injury. And guess who has replaced Oliveira Grin Their fight that got a controversal result in the past. I am speaking about battle dwarf - Alex Volkanovski. Wow! What a surprise. UFC hit perfect with such replacement. To bad, it might be a really short notice for Volkan.

Heh...  That sucks.  :/  But I don't really mind seeing Volk in there and getting another shot at 155 title tho.  The books seem to line him as a stronger challenger than Oliveira.  He's at 2.95 right now, if his line goes to 3.50 it could a good value spot imho.

What do you think about the quotes?

Manchester City 1.73

Arsenal 5.00

Liverpool 6.50

Tottenham Hotspur 13.00

City, after the easiest stretch of 8 games, ended up in 3rd place, but at the same time is rated better than Arsenal, which is ahead.
A bit unfair.

Is that the outrights for winning the league?  I'd say the books got it right.  City's squad is deep and that will come into play when the other clubs start fading in the final stretch of the season.  Remember last year when everybody thought that Arsenal was gonna get the EPL trophy?  City just kept at it and won the League, the FA Cup and the UCL.  And if anything I'd say gamble on Klopp and Liverpool at that line.  They have the grit to push on through.  If they could get it together, they could win imho.
