741  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application 🚩 on: December 17, 2023, 03:06:40 PM
That is a sad side-effect of what happens when trolls and nefarious actors post a barrage of nonsensical text. When replies are made to address and question the trolls, it does inevitably take us away from the essence of the thread.

There is zero cloud around icopress and his application to become merit source because he has competence and credibility in abundance (and he has displayed that over a number of years). The issue is one that can only be accepted or declined by theymos, other than that it seems the vast majority of members support the application.

Looking into the thread I notice that it has veered off the topic for which it was or has been created. Icopress, in my opinion, deserves to be a Merit Source but the forum admins know better.

I don't see why there is so much cloud around his competence and credibility. I know the number of campaigns he currently has under his sleeves may not account for his persona but considering his degree of coverage in the forum, I support his application.

Or has he been made a source already?
742  Other / Meta / Re: Second chances on: December 16, 2023, 11:41:51 AM
We have had 70+ posts in the thread and are on to page 4 yet there have been just two appeals that I can find. True to form, the NoorulHuda account-farmer was never going to miss the opportunity to try get at least one of the banned accounts reprieved. Another account (Nathrixxx) has asked for a reprieve too.

Here are their second chance appeals, in my opinion it is pointless restoring their accounts even with conditions/restrictions attached:

743  Other / Meta / Re: Second chances on: December 15, 2023, 12:44:13 PM
Not necessarily. There forum is full of people from all sorts of backgrounds and all have their own reasons for posting here. Some are copying text from external sources and pasting it without claiming to be the author and it is about news and current affairs. Without a shadow of doubt there are highly contentious and controversial members that are posting copied text for nefarious purposes but personally I would not tarnish all of them with the same brush.

I don't know if this kind of thing would be worth it, people don't change. If you used plagiarism, it is because you only have a financial interest due to campaign post goals.
744  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 15, 2023, 11:50:08 AM
I doubt the member you know that earned $1200 per month was a sole case by being on a customised deal. If I recall correctly, for a short period at one stage all the Chipmixer participants were getting paid more than $1200 per month because the price of Bitcoin was high enough to take them over $300 per week.
You recall correctly! But it wasn't because the Bitcoin price was high enough, it was guaranteed over $300 per week if someone made the allowed 50 posts to be paid as it was a flat rate for every participant of $6 per post. Depending on the month, it was ~ $1300-1350 per week.
Your memory is far better than mine Smiley

In many places of the world, an account in that signature campaign would get them above average income per month.
That is one of the beautiful things about the forum ecosystem because of the way it has contributed to the benefit of such a large number of members. The economy it has generated (by virtue of signature campaigns, buying/selling goods, services, competitions/games, loans and crypto exchanging) has flourished.

The imbalance is there for us all to see when posting in a forum as a Chipmixer participant back then would earn a minimum of $1200 per month when (as you rightly stated) it is above average income for many people around the world. That figure will drop significantly from new years day, that is when we will be able to estimate a median campaign rate.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: December 15, 2023, 10:24:36 AM
There is one Premier League game taking place this evening: Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

Both teams have lost four of their previous six Premier League games. If Tottenham manage a win they will be joint 4th place with Manchester City but will remain in 5th because of goal difference.

These are the games taking place tomorrow Saturday 16th December:

Bournemouth vs Luton Town
Chelsea vs Sheffield United
Manchester City vs Crystal Palace
Newcastle United vs Fulham
Burnley vs Everton

I am expecting wins for Bournemouth, Chelsea, Manchester City, Fulham and Everton  Grin
746  Other / Meta / Re: Second chances on: December 15, 2023, 09:51:15 AM
I understand, however those that have been banned and have come to terms with it may have created at least one other account. In the event they are the average member they may have come across the second chance thread and then can contemplate their next move.

If it happens to be an account-farmer, they probably would have flooded the thread with as many banned accounts as possible in the hope at least one would be saved and with that (even with the conditions of being unbanned) the hope of joining a signature campaign in the future. The fact it did not happen seems strange.

snip~
I am surprised the thread has not been flooded with applications.
I am not the least bit surprised, because those who have been banned for a long time have already come to terms with it and will certainly not even know about this opportunity. In addition, there are certain conditions under which these accounts could be returned to their owners, and the signature ban makes them quite worthless for most of them.

I know someone who earned $1200 per month from ChipMixer.
748  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'll Pray for You ... on: December 15, 2023, 09:30:03 AM
He really might have Heavencoin as his next thread. I also do not need prayers from the OP no matter how much tries to re-invent himself. He is still offering odd jobs to offering prayers and anything else as long as he get paid in BTC  Grin

It is also possible he is using religion as the excuse that brings him to the attention of others. When you look through the levels of scam accusations and reputations across the forum, you will notice there have been all manners in which people have been trying to extract money from gullible people or from those who they can gain trust of.

Without much ado, let's start. All requests will be attended to.

You've stated you're in the religion for the money at the end.   I would not want my name even mentioned in your prayers, lest I be associated.   Undecided

Why do you need millions of dollars in paradise anyway?   Any wouldn't inflation be insane with everyone having so much US?  currency?

Or maybe it's a million dollars in heavencoin?

749  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal For NoorulHuda. on: December 14, 2023, 09:59:07 PM
People appeal, get no positive response and never come back, but not this guy.
Well, it doesn't cost him anything to bump and since he probably has more accounts on bitcointalk and is active daily, why not bumping the appeal thread from time to time? Its those whose only account gets banned are the ones that lose hope fast.
Even if he managed to get the account back there would be an interim period of a signature ban therefore to some extent it would defeat the object of getting the ban lifted. Having said that, it is a vital first step because the end goal would be of-course to join a signature campaign.

The irony as far the length of time he has waited to get his ban lifted (if it were to happen), is that after mixers themselves get banned the unbanned account would probably never be accepted in to any campaign by any decent manager.

The only campaign manager that was allowing members with red trust join his campaigns on an excessive basis will no longer have the luxury of filling slots with alt-accounts and spammers with mixers therefore the OP could have gone through all this fake apology for literally no benefit.

Anyways, to his luck, Cyrus announced the second chance, which many of the banned ones would be awaiting for sure.
Considering one of the requirements to get unbanned is to post one very good constructive post, I don't think that thread will help him much.

750  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 14, 2023, 09:53:18 PM
The OP is quite clearly making up the whole alleged incident but we do not know why he is attention-seeking. In my opinion he is an alt-account and certainly knows his way around the forum and has interacted with members. The way he is posting also shows him trying to show he is unaware of certain things but he cannot fool all the people reading the thread.

As he has not logged in since yesterday, hopefully he has ended this charade and it is the last we have seen of him.

Someone is coming here to make a scam accusation without knowing anything about the mixer he used, without knowing the required format he should go through in making his application, isn't all these serious enough not to trust OP himself that he's actually the scammer here and not the mixer, mixers has their own rules, if you violate any, you may be in this kind of condition you've already found yourself to be.
751  Other / Meta / Re: Any 50 BTC donor still active here? on: December 14, 2023, 09:48:39 PM
For someone who claims he does not know a lot about the forum, you seem to know a bit too much about the forum and the members.

I heard you can buy the "Smart1985" VIP account for $2,000 since the domain email linked to his account is up for that very price. The account was compromised during 2015 and was used for a scam unfortunately. Not sure what happened after other than it looks like it was abandoned completely and has not been used since then. I guess one day it'll be taken control of again probably by someone who buys the domain.

Some people like Pirateat40 were arrested too by the way. 500K BTC Crypto exit scam. Its insane to think how some are in jail, like him.

Btc_Bear/JusticeForYou is hacked I think and the idiots running the account are also scamming with it. The email is btc_bear@gmx.com it cannot be recreated anymore. It is a shame that a well respected account gets taken control of by morons who want to make a quick buck.
752  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal For NoorulHuda. on: December 14, 2023, 04:54:36 PM
Maybe the owner of the farmed accounts is trying to keep up the charade of proclaiming their innocence because they hope eventually one of the admins will get bored of reading their constant crocodile tears. He should stop bumping this thread and make an appeal in that second chance thread as a last chance saloon.

If he fails in the second chance thread, he should lock this thread and give up.

Seriously i have been seeing this guy bumping his ban appeal thread on a consistent basis for more than a year now but of no use. People appeal, get no positive response and never come back, but not this guy.
Anyways, to his luck, Cyrus announced the second chance, which many of the banned ones would be awaiting for sure.

If he is unable to satisfy the mods on this second chance occasion, then believe me he will never get unban. For him, this is not a second chance, but a last chance to get him unban.  Wink
753  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 14, 2023, 12:37:08 PM
What some of us in the forum deem to be marginal could be seen by the wider community as not marginal therefore the debates will rage on. Also, regardless of how fair or unfair a situation is, it is possible we will see cases where the community is adamant the business should be allowed to be represented in the forum but maybe theymos will disagree.

And, let us not forget the scenario of vice-versa too. It is will interesting to see if any mixer (or alike) will post to appeal against the ban. If there was an appeal or a request to review their ban it will be something members will probably not find consensus therefore it will create another piece of contention here.

Good point. It is possible that there will be some marginal cases where a mixer service is suspected of being a scam unfairly, so it would be useful if their (un)official representative could address the community publicly and share their side of the story. I guess that in such situations the community will have to make an opinion based only on the evidence presented.
754  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit is a scam betting site, DO NOT ENTER!! on: December 14, 2023, 12:20:15 PM
There is no need for you to pretend you are scratching your head.

The first point is more to do with why a newbie such as yourself would bump a thread (which happens to be one of average information and not carrying the most important or statistical data) that has not been posted in for 15 months. for a members to con

The second point is to wonder why you or any other member would state the "screenshot really speaks volumes", when in fact the OP or Imgur removed it months ago (and that is why it does not show in my previous post when I re-quoted the image).

Here is what the screenshot currently show, does the "screenshot really speaks volumes" to you: https://imgur.com/a/2CXSC4U

That's quite the head-scratcher with 1 x bit. Having an abundance of deposit methods is awesome for flexibility, but zero withdrawal options is a major red flag. Your screenshot really speaks volumes.
755  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 14, 2023, 12:07:09 PM
He never provided any proof that he ever sent funds to a any mixer (be CM or a different). All that we have from the OP is his own story that he has posted without the slightest piece of evidence. I do not believe the $7 story and I am convinced he is an alt-account that is attention seeking. He does not even have a transaction id therefore why should he be believed?

Though it is not impossible the incident occurred, the manner in which he posted responses when questioned was sufficient for me to base my conclusion.

OK, now that we know it was CM, it's blatantly obvious that you deliberately lied here

756  Economy / Services / Re: I'll Do Odd Jobs for You on: December 14, 2023, 11:59:59 AM
You never did point to any forum members you work with/for.

Do you have any reviews from previous jobs? Did you manage to find any jobs here in the forum? Can any forum member with Hero or Legendary rank provide a reference for you with regards for the work they hired you for?

Taking more jobs at the moment. Contact me inbox.
Hire me

I can refer you to some members that I have worked for if you so wish.
757  Other / Meta / Re: Second chances on: December 14, 2023, 11:57:22 AM
I agree, if members are given a second chance there should at least be some kind sort of sanction attached to the reprieve. Even if it is the season to be Jolly it should not mean every member that has been banned will be be reprieved. The OP covers that sanction part:

You must have been banned already for an extended period of time, at least 6 months.
You must point to at least 1 really good, constructive post you've made.
A ban on wearing a signature will be added, equal to at least 2 years minus however long you were banned.

I am surprised the thread has not been flooded with applications.

I'm all for giving banned accounts another shot.  Some folks probably get kicked off just cause they didn't fully get the rules of the place and  that doesn't make what they did okay, but Ive always thought outright banning someone for copying and pasting without citing sources once seems kinda harsh.  Maybe a warning or temporary ban would work better?

I also think giving people a second chance should come with a probation thing.  And we should look at everything they added to the forums, not just a post or two that stood out.

759  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'll Pray for You ... on: December 12, 2023, 09:43:25 PM
It seems you have deviated from the previous thread where you claimed you wanted to be employed but now you seem to be offering free prayers for members.

Keeping that aside, how on earth are you expecting to receive Bitcoin for your odd jobs when you cannot string a sentence together without mentioning religion? What about the members who would consider hiring someone for the quality of his work and skills rather than the religious sermon, they would not bother contacting you now even if they had initially considered doing so.

Without much ado, let's start. All requests will be attended to.

Note: NEVER send me money for prayer. All the money on earth can't even buy it. As a preventive measure, Ive deleted my addresses on this forum.
760  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 12, 2023, 09:33:01 PM
The OP was never interested in knowing the name of the mixer he allegedly lost $7 with while he was mixing. Or to make it more, when someone created a thread (especially Scam Accusation) and does not even provide any evidence it cannot be taken seriously.

Furthermore, when the one accusing is then asked to provide evidence but all that is presented are more ramblings rather than coherent statements (but evidence is conveniently missing), it all points to this being an attention-seeking exercise by the OP.

Nope, Mixy is not the only one. The criteria where it has something similar to "money" and had advertised here but no longer did so was also shared by WW, and WW should make more sense, given it have more massive campaign and logically reached wider audience. But nope, not WW. And should not be mixy either, as OP already gave this thread a read [it has list of mixers] and none rings a bell, and the thread has mixy on its list.

Right, OP? None of the mixer on that list, or anyone suggested here sounds familiar? Including any on this list suggested by NotATether? But it's not important anymore, is it? You're not really interested to know their name anymore, are you?
