781  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase has started trading in NASDAQ minutes ago on: April 14, 2021, 11:11:40 PM
Literally after going public, they went up from 1.6B in 2016 to 100B today. And this is just the start of their journey in NASDAQ, I know there will be future endeavors that Coinbase can achieve. Although the dumping could mean that they aren't as worth as much as they are valued today, keep in mind that this will change in the coming days as well.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Love the bad news on: April 14, 2021, 11:05:51 PM
I get that what you're trying to say is to see opportunity even in the direst circumstances that others would find hopeless. But your example just wouldn't cut it out in the real world. Realistically, hackers would have to go to a very painstaking process in order to just cash out one of their stolen goods, the same may not be applicable for user hacking, but for something as big as an exchange, you cannot expect a price drop that drastic unless the hackers are deliberately trying to get themselves caught.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: April 14, 2021, 10:45:07 PM
Some people are inspired to gamble because they know that a rally will come after a bitcoin price increase. But the same people will also be seen not using Eth or Btc for withdrawals or transactions because they are well aware that the transaction fees will be ginormous. So it can definitely inspire and cause more people to invest but not in a way that most people think is conventional.
784  Economy / Economics / Re: I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe or it isn't? on: April 13, 2021, 10:46:00 PM
As if the newbies are the only way the people here are making money. Besides, bitcoin isn't your "get rich quick" scheme. It is a technology meant to revolutionize the currency world we came to know of. If you think of bitcoin solely as a way to get money, then you're probably new to the industry. Plus, a lot of people have been saying this bubble's going to pop. Yet we're at 63 and bitcoin hasn't even shown any signs of dropping in value.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government ban on crypto on: April 13, 2021, 10:40:12 PM
It is very unlikely indeed that bitcoin is to be banned in the US, basically because it has already been recognized by the government. But in the off-chance that it is to be banned, Bitcoin will receive the biggest downfall it would ever receive ever. Although it's operations aren't centralized to the US. The most of people who show the promise of accepting bitcoin aside from Nigeria is the United States, so to lose a very prominent investor/supporter will definitely dump the price of bitcoin to big degrees.
786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devices used for Gambling on: April 13, 2021, 10:20:26 PM
The use of desktops is obviously going to be more frequent than the other modalities of gambling, since it allows for some features and perks that other devices wouldn't be able to enjoy in their native platforms. I myself have switched to desktops soon as I saved up enough money for a decent PC. And I'd be lying if I it didn't positively affected the way I play casino and gambling games altogether.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: April 13, 2021, 10:02:35 PM
I do not impose time constraints in gambling, rather I would put these limitations on the number of games I play, as this is much more workable and profitable for me. I usually stop after getting 3 losses, whether or not I have won. This ensures that I do not incur further losses for that gambling session. So far, this gambling setting has allowed me to save myself from huge losses and have even given me wins that I am sure I can secure.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did this guy just find the founder of Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2021, 11:03:13 PM
Let's just quit looking for the guy. He already made it clear that he doesn't want the fame of being Bitcoin Jesus at this point, because if he does, then he literally would show up with defining proof sooner. Plus, whoever claims to be Satoshi will just be shut down by us guys because we all know that the real Satoshi wouldn't show his face, or tell people that he is Satoshi, even if the guy really is. Lastly, there's no real payoff to knowing who he is or where he is at right now. It's not like someone held a contest where you can win prizes if you find out who Satoshi is, so to look for him is lost cause.
789  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are you doing when you make your way down? on: April 12, 2021, 10:59:44 PM
Welp, probably disperse some of my earnings in to other forms of asset, to maximize my chances of earning more. The funny thing about pursuit of money is that, it never ends. Once you know how to earn huge racks, you'll never stop abusing that strategy until you die. So while some of you is probably going to treat themselves to a nice new house or a fancy new car, which is definitely right and okay since it's your money by all means, I'll invest some of my earnings back to earn more in the future.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “Bitcoin is the laughing stock of our firm” on: April 12, 2021, 10:55:55 PM
*Laughs in Gamestop Craze*. Investing firms are basically just legalized corruption offices where people call in to get their money stolen from them, so to actually hear this from someone no different from a criminal is quite funny. At the very least we have a very strong price resistance that can't easily be dialed back to zero, unlike some hedge funds out there that literally got finessed over by self-proclaimed retards from Reddit. Keep holding diamond hands.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument. on: April 12, 2021, 10:51:59 PM
Very well said. I'm honestly getting tired of people being very misinformed about bitcoin telling things like it's polluting the environment when millions of dollars are being spent into burning fossil fuels, mining oil, mining gold and basically all other non renewable energy resources that are much more polluting to the environment than bitcoin. Plastics, the food industry, phone production, I can literally go all day here talking about industries that are much more damaging to the environment than bitcoin mining.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will Quantum computing affect Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2021, 10:40:27 PM
Quantum computers can make and break the cryptocurrency industry. On one hand, faster computing power means easier mining, at least for a cheaper rate than what we're at right now. GPUs wouldn't be scalped anymore, so the PC gaming industry is kept alive and is not consumed by the greed of the scalpers. On the other however, private keys being hacked and sold in the black market will be more common. Since a computer that can literally guess every combination will be powerful enough to guess everyone's private key.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: April 12, 2021, 10:27:20 PM
Of course. You have to remember the first rule and the most important rule in gambling: "You will lose if you don't think". At least you owned up to your mistakes and discovered that it is indeed you who is at fault for the current situation you're in. I suggest you seek professional mental assistance, if you think you're already becoming addicted to gambling, which I honestly think you are considering you blew 35k all for gambling. After that, get a job, pay off your debt. and before you know it, you've already cleaned yourself out of your mess.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have anyone tried to stop gamblers from losing while they keep on wagering. on: April 12, 2021, 10:21:06 PM
I haven't tried giving advice to people on their betting behavior, at least ever since the fact that I would always get into a fight with someone when I tell them what to do with their money. Don't get me wrong, what you did was good and probably was the right thing to do, but I just don't see myself being altruistic enough to help a fellow gambler in deep mire after wasting away thousands of dollars on a loss.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is the most popular game in gambling field ? on: April 12, 2021, 10:17:46 PM
Sports betting is definitely taking the first place in my opinion. There are a lot of sports out there, and almost any of them have some sort of underground betting playground where viewers earn a quick buck by placing bets on which team will win and which will not. This is followed by Casino games. Slots, Pokers, dice, these games are the literal cover page of every gambling site I have been in ever since I tried gambling, I only place sports bet above it because sports betting has a much more bigger following than Casino. You can literally fill a stadium with bettors, something that I doubt is somethign that can be done for casinos.
796  Economy / Economics / Re: The One World Currency: Is it Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2021, 10:43:06 PM
It could very well be a precursor to a one world currency, but the token that would succeed bitcoin cannot be centralized, otherwise people aren't going to dive in it. This goes without saying, that a decentralized currency like bitcoin can't be used by any one world government that may rise up in the future, and they may need to employ a new currency to facilitate their newly formed economy.
797  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Elon musk 5000 BTC give away scam ad on: April 10, 2021, 10:40:17 PM
Youtube's ad and privacy algorithm is very erroneous, so it's not surprising that things like these fly off their radars. Although of course, this is bad news for people who are not really savvy with crypto and bitcoin, or even perhaps the newbies that just got into bitcoin not too long ago. At this point, it is our own responsibility to take care of ourselves, we can't expect the internet to be very forgiving and generous to people who are complacent with their safety.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there's no USDT (trc20) deposit method in gambling sites on: April 10, 2021, 10:37:17 PM
I believe it's a matter of convenience. Most crypto enthusiasts and gamblers alike are fond of using ERC20 tokens rather than TRC20, so gambling sites wouldn't waste thousands of dollars to integrate a system feature that wouldn't be used that much anyway. Plus there are much more cheaper options than using USDT. There are DOGE, RIPPLE, TRX, to name a few. So it doesn't really look like people are going to profit or benefit that much from being able to use a TRC20 token on gambling sites.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Table games VS slots on: April 10, 2021, 10:34:07 PM
I feel like I have more agency and power over my wins and losses in table games compared to slot machines, so most of the time play with Table games instead. Although sometimes I do feel the need to play some slots so every now and then I play a couple of games. Gambling is a form of entertainment, so always prioritize the things that will give you the most fun out of, although profits are important not gonna lie. For me, it's all just a matter of self-control and sound thinking.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is trash on: April 09, 2021, 11:23:53 PM
Bitcoin's advance towards global acceptance is still in its infancy. The technology has just been here for more than a decade, compare that to fiat with thousands of years of development and evolution. It shows great promise for the future, not for the present, and if you're here for a quick buck, then you're getting everything wrong. Bitcoin isn't trash. Do you call unrefined gold ores trash too? Bitcoin is still an unrefined version of itself, the future it possesses is very promising to just label it as trash, just because it's not that accessible now.
