881  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the point of collateralized loans ? on: February 27, 2021, 05:36:41 PM
There's none. It's literally made for people desperate enough to let themselves in the hellish trap that is collateralized loans. Imagine getting less than what you want to borrow and then still having to pay the whole amount as if they just didn't took a fee out of the blue. So never ever take collateralized loans unless you want to play life in hard mode.
882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Trust In-House Casino Competition? (Wager/Multiplier/Raffle) on: February 27, 2021, 05:31:11 PM
I don't see why they would have to put fake people on the leaderboards even if you say that it's to boost popularity. They literally could use any other tactic than that. And besides, if you think the gambling site you frequent in is pulling a fast one on you, then you might wanna switch to a different one just to save yourself the trouble of being so skeptical about it.
883  Economy / Economics / Re: Use of cryptocurrencies, a concern – IMF on: February 26, 2021, 10:58:50 PM
Even in the old days, people really would persecute and condemn things that they lack information about, the same thing is happening with bitcoin wherein people who don't use it are the ones to talk badly and depict bitcoin in a bad light. The only way we can feasibly solve this is to provide and help them be informed about the benefits of bitcoin.
884  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 26, 2021, 10:16:42 PM
A correction will come around once the price resistance is apprehended. The price at this point is strong that's why no correction can come in. I'm not so sure what would trigger such resistance to fall off but if we were to learn from last 2017's ATH, it can be solved by simply cashing out your btcs and then buying the dip.
885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The good side of banning btc in Nigeria on: February 26, 2021, 10:13:52 PM
So some sort of realization after the lacking, kind of story. Since it will only go to show the government that they really need cryptocurrencies to operate and be adopted or else they will be left behind in the current stature of the world economy and the upcoming future ones, once bitcoin becomes globally adopted. However, I doubt this will happen because they should've known this from the very start, even before they impose the ban on bitcoin. Don't governments use feasibility studies to check if their ordinances and policies will work?
I believe favorable regulations will be good for any country and their citizens. Blanket ban will only create an underground market and people will pay zero tax on their black money. So banning a cryptocurrency is not a solution, rather it's an initiation of a much larger issue!

So I don't think banning cryptocurrency will bring in any positive impact on Nigeria. Because common people always try to stay within their legal limits. So no matter whatever free advertising it is doing for bitcoin, it will be mostly negative for the commoners.

But I sincerely hope these governments realize their mistake soon before it's too late!
Yeah, not sure how this went past the Nigerian government's notice. And a very untimely ban too, considering they are the leaders in bitcoin adoption in this planet. That's like being first place in a race and then letting yourself lose at the last minute mark.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History Of Crypto Gambling on: February 26, 2021, 09:40:44 PM
In a span of a couple of years, the gambling industry in crypto already have gone a long way and is continuously innovating to cater the ever-evolving customer pool. And with the rise of numerous coins on the market, expect more gambling sites coming in and out of the system, and of course with this improvements in the current system.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify Cryptocurrency Scams on: February 26, 2021, 02:21:35 AM
Really nice, don't really got scammed in trading and exchanges but have been in projects and bounty programs, and the only thing that has kept my odds of being scammed so low so far is the fact that I follow my gut feeling. When I think something is too good to be true. It most probably is, so I prompt to avoid it, ensuring that I do not get scammed in the process.
888  Economy / Economics / Re: COIN PRICES CRASHING!!! SELL BITCOIN NOW!!!! on: February 26, 2021, 02:15:01 AM
I can't say much for sure regarding the current state of the market, but looking at its downward trend, I guess we can safely say that we are in a dip that may span a couple of days or perhaps even weeks or months. What's really scary about this though is the fact that this could easily spark a panic selling rally among the people which in turn could drop the value even further, though I guess it's good considering that it's going to open the gates for more people to buy.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to make money with Bitcoin ? Here is a Tip ...Psy... on: February 26, 2021, 01:25:45 AM
Well, I always thought trading handbooks and such are a huge bullcrap and are not really something you should expect to teach you on how to be the best trader you can be. So it is best to just learn and atudy your past trades and improve upon them, because nobody in the upper echelons will tell you how they got there.
I agree that psychology (emotional control) holds an important role in the process of investing and trading. However mathematics, economy and finance are also essential to being successful on the long-term in any kind of markets. All these disciplines are interlinked and if you are knowledgeable and continue to refine yourself in each one of them AND apply the concepts learnt money should be a by-product.
Basically self-study. Learn by yourself, study by yourself, if need be, try your hardest to manipulate the variables to your liking. That is how you win in the industry.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is only high demand causing the long transaction time? on: February 26, 2021, 12:53:58 AM
I guess it also includes the computing power of the system since it doesn't matter if there is a long chain of transactions waiting, long as the system is adequate and enough to accomodate such transactions. It has an inverse variation with transaction duration, so I guess it should also be included as factors that will heavily affect the transaction time of any coin in the market.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: February 26, 2021, 12:41:49 AM
It's bad for Casino's business but it's fairly okay in other aspects if you're going to ask me. First of all, they are sponsored because the casino is hoping they will gather more people into playing in the casino, which in practice will give them bigger profits in the long run. So it's not that bad really. And in the case of the common player's side, I don't think it's not fair.

893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: February 23, 2021, 11:18:33 PM
At the surface, people see bitcoin as a get rich quick way out of poverty, so when they lose their money in it, they start calling it as scam or ponzi. Bitcoin is not Ponzi because despite what the charts and news show, there is no 100% guarantee that you will make a killing with bitcoin. You can invest of course, but investing in bitcoin entitles you with the fact that you should be aware of the repercussions of your actions.
894  Economy / Economics / Re: Earning interest on your crypto on: February 23, 2021, 11:14:40 PM
Depending on your crypto, you may or may not need to stake your coin just to earn profits. Let's say you're using bitcoin and is planning to trade it for something esle that can be staked, it would be better to keep it as it is as bitcoin offers better profitability compared to any other coin in the market. In terms of long hodling of course.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling Weekly on: February 23, 2021, 11:12:23 PM
Bitcoin is mainly used now as a store of value, so you might find that only a few people will actually try and use bitcoin for gambling transactions in that wallet. Of course this may shift in the coming years, especially if bitcoin receives more notice and is adopted by more states and countries to the point that it is on par in terms of daily usage with fiats.
896  Economy / Economics / Re: Great reset is done on: February 22, 2021, 08:02:25 PM
I admire your optimism OP but as of the moment, we can't easily say that the traces left by the devastating pandemic is already gone. But the world is definitely recovering, that much is true. I guess in a span of a couple more months, provided that everyone follows the protocols religiously, we can guarantee to our selves that the great reset is already finished.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: February 22, 2021, 07:50:57 PM
I feel like PacMan is trying to help Crawford here. Not like he is not that famous from the start, but of course if you're going up against the pound-for-pound champion of the world, your name is bound to blow up. And him allowing Crawford to bag a $10 million paycheck after the fight is going to be the biggest pay of his career.
^ Bob Arum says lately, this fight of Manny Pacquiao and Crawford have a possible overseas with a new site fee. https://www.boxingnews24.com/2021/02/bob-arum-says-pacquiao-vs-crawford-possible-overseas-with-new-site-fee/.
This is a big favor to Crawford when it comes to $$, it's a big payout for him while the chances of winning will probably have a 0% against Manny Pacquiao.
Nevertheless, as the article says, if Pacquiao and Crawford's fight will not happen it will possible Crawford and Porter would be a tremendous fight.
Crawford got the moves and the talent, there's a good chance he will win against Pacquiao knowing that he is probably at his prime and Pacquiao isn't. So it's not that farfetched, plus reach advantage and a couple more stats where Crawford can excel.

899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: someone bought 13000 BTC just now on: February 21, 2021, 09:11:41 PM
Whales are starting to move towards pumping the coin even more, so it seems. With this bitcoin purchase, either a lot of people will FOMO and buy in hopes of catching the bitcoin train, or they will be discouraged to buy bitcoin because of its ginormous value at the moment, which doesn't seem to show any signs of stopping by the way.
900  Other / Archival / Re: ... on: February 21, 2021, 09:06:16 PM
Bitcoin is continuously rallying because of these two facts:
1. Whales pumping the coin
2. Influential figures shilling the cryptocurrency to newbies and people who are yet to try bitcoin.

With all these reasons in mind one can simply assume that the reason why bitcoin kept rising up amidst the global pandemic and the seemingly economic collapse that ensued, is because of Elon Musk, among other influential figures, and the aid of huge companies buying bitcoins by the thousands, something that would be really hard to do for us small-time investors.
