901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul moving to Puerto Rico, fight back on? on: February 21, 2021, 09:00:41 PM
Or he just really wants to enjoy his payout to the fullest. Don't get me wrong, Logan is slowly coming up to be a formidable fighter despite a tragic past being a YouTuber. but at the end of the day, if he's going up against the giants in the league I can't expect him to win outright. Unless he has some trick up his sleeve that could fell a giant.
Maybe he’s planning ahead for a big payout with Mayweather match. As nothing has been official yet if the fight might happen or not we cannot conclude. Even if the fight has low interest still its a fund raiser with a staggering amount.
Exactly, even up against Mayweather we all already knew he had a very slim chance if he had any. and the only logical reason why he's moving to Puerto Rico given the situation would be to avoid paying high income taxes after bagging out the prize for fighting Floyd. That's all there is to it folks.
902  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Doge or Bitcoin? Which to buy? on: February 20, 2021, 10:23:05 PM
Bitcoin has a better upward trend than Dogecoin, that should already give you an insightful view as to who to invest your money into. Yes bitcoin may have price dips and occasional panic sells, but at the end of the day if you're a good holder, and is willing to hold your coins for about 2-3 years. Bitcoin will reward you dearly.
903  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria led global crypto adoption in 2020 on: February 20, 2021, 10:16:07 PM
The country is riddled with people well versed in the internet knowledge, so it doesnt come as a surprise that they are leading the world towards crypto adoption. What they lack in economic stability, they make up for in terms of brains, that's why contrary to what the media says, they are one of the most progressive countries in this planet, and I hope to see more from them in the future.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling payments fees on: February 20, 2021, 10:13:41 PM
Most well-established platforms of gambling nowadays are armed with features that allow multicryptocurrency transactions, so gambling wouldn't be exclusive to bitcoin and eth holders. So it's not like the bull run affected their business negatively. It was actually the other way around upon my careful observation, where gamblers seemed to increase in number since the bull run.
I haven't seen any fee changes recently except for stake and I feel like most gambling sites have no plans in changing the fees since they've been charging high fees for quite some time now.

I suggest checking this thread out once in a while as the OP usually compiles the bitcoin withdrawal fee situation between several sites and updates them whenever there's a change.
Staking will definitely be affected as it requires continuous transactions which can take a toll on the system.
905  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: February 19, 2021, 11:39:02 PM
These companies who bought bitcoin way early are the ones reaping the benefits and all, we get to enjoy the ride too which ia not so bad. Still, ai'm not wholly bought out with the fact that there are a growing amount of whales in the market that can literally shift the tide with one tap or click. Kinda scary if you ask me especially when we consider the fact that they are only growing in numbers.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hit 1 trillion dollars marketcap on: February 19, 2021, 11:36:20 PM
As far as I know it's the cryptocurrency market that landed 1 trillion, not bitcoin alone. Though this still stands to attest the fact that bitcoin is becoming more and more noticeable and is changing people's perspectives when they talk about money and investment. This is a great first step towards what we aspire for which is global acceptance.
Before, there's not much attention to bitcoin and if they do, it's all about the negativities. But it's getting noticed now by most of the mainstream media. Just as these fresh news from bloomberg and reuters.

--> https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currency-bitcoin/bitcoin-steams-to-new-record-and-nears-1-trillion-market-cap-idUSKBN2AJ0GC
--> https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-02-19/bitcoin-nears-1-trillion-value-as-crypto-jump-tops-other-assets
This is bound to happen, people will catch wind of thsi eventually and if the media doesn't cover cryptocurrency, a lot of the people will be missing out on something very important, and of cpurse their integrity will be put on the line.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What games are best suitable for PvP gambling? on: February 19, 2021, 11:33:29 PM
Poker will be the spearhead of this new form of gambling as it is easy to code and easier to play. That being said I see some future in the Arena Genre as Axie Infinity, which I'm not sure can be classified as gambling of some sort, is  taking the crypto world by storm, future game developers aspiring to flourish in the PvP genre can pick up from the ideas in these games and they will surely gain something good from it.
908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if the major holders of bitcoin all decided to sell it all? on: February 18, 2021, 10:53:47 PM
A major crash will happen of course, panic will ensue, people will post suicide notes on bitcoin subreddit, among other things. That's why I am a bit against the current state of bitcoin where whales take over the market instead of the collective small-tume investors, because with a single press of a button 10+ years of journey and trust buildup will be put to waste.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take team's cohesion into account when betting? on: February 18, 2021, 10:51:02 PM
Team work is definitely an integral part in the success of a team, but honestly speaking not a lot of people will take team cohesion and trust into account when betting because it's not something that you can see at face value, most of the time it becomes obvious after a careful game observation and even then it can't be guaranteed you are correct unless you're part of the team itself.
Team integrity is a must with football and all games where the contribution of each and every player is required. In games like cricket even a single person can change the scenario. With football along with integrity, each player are trained to be perfect for specific position. This needs to be considered, because even if a single player does it wrong the plan can't be executed perfect.

Most of the time I look for the forward players, because the ball finally reaches the player passing all other players positioned to pass it. The forward is the one to make the goal. Teams cohesion is important, without which games will be like movies where we knew that the hero's team will be winning the match.
This is interesting, though I think it's pulling the situation to a stretch. However, I'd like to take your opinion in games like basketball where it's really fast-paced, or better yet eSports like League of Legends.
910  Economy / Economics / Re: Global debt soars to 356% of GDP on: February 18, 2021, 10:46:17 PM
COVID is a defining factor of why such percentages came to be. Every country taking a loan in hopes of combating the virus in one way or another, plus sustainability as well. There's not going to be much choice from the countries' part but to request for a loan at the end of the day.
911  Economy / Economics / Re: We, bitcoiners, should buy a bank on: February 17, 2021, 11:17:08 PM
Bitcoin is decentralized and is anonymous, setting up a bank just for the sake of setting a bank isn't going to pan out great and may actually just flop with the common bitcoin investor. So might as well invest the money that we will pool to something else, like a feature that will allow faster transactions and cheaper fees, because honestly speaking the Lightning Network sounds more like a pipe dream at this point.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: February 17, 2021, 11:14:51 PM
Some casinos switching to altcoins in order to save money, it didn't really heavily affect the nature of most gambling sites like how many people projected it would be a few months back, just a bunch of change in codes and all and it is all bueno. Now what I'm a bit concerned about is the fact that whenever bitcoin rallies up, it takes with it a couple of cryptocurrencies, so higher values means higher fees in the process.

914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin make someone the richest in the world? on: February 16, 2021, 10:55:46 PM
Bitcoin has only been in the market for about a decade, so we can safely say it's still in its infancy as of the moment. Nonetheless, what we could guarantee is that it will open doors for everyone who invests in it, especially now that more and more people are getting into the train. It may not make someone the richest person on the planet, but it can definitely aid in making everyone who invests in it rich. Which I believe is better than just having one person at the top.
Being the richest in the world with bitcoin, I don't think I can. Who will compete with Elon Musk as the richest person in the world today. Even the elon company Tesla bought $ 1.5 Million in Bitcoin.
To become the richest in your neighborhood or in your country you probably still can, but you must have a lot of bitcoins from the past when the bitcoin price was under $ 1 and can hold it to this day.

The richest people in the world do not only rely on bitcoin, but have made a lot of investment, they have built many companies, so it is not only from bitcoin that they are the source of their wealth. Bitcoin is only a small part according to them.
Such established individuals will do everything they can to retain their status and position in the society, that is a bigger problem for people who would want to become the richest through bitcoin in my opinion.
915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc Halving Effect + Elon Musk Effect + Institutional Investors' Effect. on: February 16, 2021, 10:53:54 PM
Many people not believing bitcoin would reach 50k by March are now becoming more faithful to the coin's ability. This goes tp show that with enough encouragement, even those critics of bitcoin may actually be persuaded to purchase it and include in their portfolio. They will be very important in the future success of bitcoin.
This is a temporary effect, the price drop is inevitable.

yes, the decline is inevitable because its an asset that must rise and fall and also due to the work of speculators. but, the fact remain that the correction will not be as it used to be and it wont be very big because of the activities of investors who are waiting to buy when there is a small correction.

It is beyond a temporal effect, but a changing effect.
Sooner or later the decline is going to happen, but let people have their way with it for now. A lot of us have waited for this moment. The decline can happen but the people have to enjoy this price point while it lasts.
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: February 16, 2021, 10:21:02 PM
People fear what they cannot understand, and it is the case with bitcoin. They don't know how it works, how it has value, how to obtain one or a combination of each of these aforementioned reasons, and since they do not know, they are staying away from it. But with proper information and encouragement, these people should be swayed to invest.
917  Economy / Economics / Re: Will President Joe Biden be good for business? on: February 16, 2021, 10:19:04 PM
I can see Biden being very compassionate to the common salaryman, especially with him spearheading the wage increase per hour of the average American employee, which is really integral especially during this time of need. However, I don't think it is wise to force it upon businesses who just barely started, or those that are just recovering from the huge blows it receive courtesy of the COVID-19 pandemic. Repeat offenders like fast food giants must definitely work on increasing their compensation to their workers, but for small businesses, not so much.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Three Indians arrested over illegal betting in ZACS on: February 16, 2021, 10:15:37 PM
Any undocumented gambling of all sorts will definitely receive a heavy hand from the government, and it's not only in Bangladesh that gamblers are condemned, most countries who facilitate illegal gambling do. Cannot really blame these guys for dreaming big but can't blame the government either for arresting and prosecuting them.
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let`s say bitcoin replaces fiat. What happens? on: February 14, 2021, 10:40:51 PM
Bitcoin replaces fiat will be the next best thing besides sliced bread I'm telling you. Why, you ask? Just look at all these benefits
-Environment Friendly as you wouldn't need to cut down trees and plants to use for paper bills, and mining precious metals for the purpose of creating metal coins is going to be halted too, which I know you all know is good for the planet.
-Seamless International Transactions can be achieved and without many restrictions unlike what fiat currently has.
-Anonymity, dare I say this is good for those people who wanted tp regain their privacy in more ways than one but can obviously be abused by criminals

All in all, we can see a very bright future ahead of us should bitcoin replace fiat, we're getting there, and that's the best thing about it.
920  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan says large firms will not follow Tesla's bitcoin move on: February 14, 2021, 10:35:32 PM
Whether they follow Elon's bitcoin rally or not, doesn't really matter much as bitcoin will benefit either way. If they decided to follow his path and buy bitcoin too, then that's cool as that would allow bitcoin to reach greater pricepoints and a faster road to $100k journey. If they decided not to, that's cool too! Since that's one less whale to deal with that can and will heavily manipulate the market in their hands.
