921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 11, 2023, 05:52:33 PM
No. Successful gamblers know what they are doing. Casinos usually don't like them because these players are eating their lunch. These people can't be called addicts because they are not harming themselves financially. Gambling addicts always lose money and they ruin themselves and their family members. Most of them don't have a family at all.

If you ask the casino owners, they would tell you that successful gamblers are actually thieves since they are stealing from the casinos (the games are designed to make the players lose in the long run) but you can't say they are addicts.
922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivating gambling addicts to invest in bitcoins. on: July 11, 2023, 04:18:29 AM
Gambling addicts usually don’t have the patience to make an investment. These people gamble because they wants to see the results immediately. Bitcoin may return great profits in a year or two but these people can’t wait that long. At best they can wait a week or a month but we all know that making an investment doesn’t work that way. Investors wait year, sometimes decades to get a meaningful return on their investments. I don’t see gamblers having that kind of patience.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 10, 2023, 07:45:44 PM
Can you explain me why i need to learned gambling?

Simply put, here only millions of money are managed by asset owners, so where i have no money. In fact, i have ideas about gambling, but I don't have the ability to spend money there.

You don't need to. In fact you shouldn't. Please elaborate which ideas you have about gambling. You talked about asset managers too, do you think these people are gamblers? If so, you are right indeed. Some of those asset managers are indeed gamblers and that's why they will lose their customers' funds quickly.

When you are making an investment, gambling should be the last thing in your mind. Investing != Gambling.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is actually a Bitcoin investor on: July 10, 2023, 04:46:26 PM
When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?

Both of these people are bitcoin investors imo. It doesn't necessarily mean that you should invest big amounts to become a bitcoin investor. You can invest $5 in bitcoin and still be an investor. Obviously you are not going to make much profits with that $5 worth of bitcoins but you are still an investor no matter what others say.

Here is another example:

You can own 1 AAPL share and still be an investor in AAPL. You can vote at the annual shareholders' meeting. The price of an AAPL share is around $200 nowadays.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 09, 2023, 03:47:44 PM
Luxury watches at the top end of the market can be considered as an alternative form of investment. While I don't possess extensive knowledge about watches, my understanding from available information suggests that reselling them can yield a substantial profit. The return on investment for luxury watches tends to be quite satisfactory. Prominent examples of such watches include Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Audemars Piguet, some of which have a waitlist spanning two years. Most of these watches tend to appreciate in value.

However, the worth attributed to an item is typically influenced by its demand and supply. While I believe that owning one or two high-end watches, provided they are well-maintained, may outperform stocks, gold, and real estate, it's worth noting that their appeal may diminish over time. This is because future generations are increasingly gravitating towards other interests, such as bitcoin and other emerging trends. If given the choice, would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin, digital assets, gold, stocks, or real estate?

You shouldn't choose one over the other before you understand the market you are in vesting in. For example I don't know shit about luxury watches. I don't know the premiums, I don't know the overall market direction and volatility, I don't know which brand to choose, which model etc. You have to know a lot about these stuff.

On the other hand, I know some stuff about bitcoin/crypto. I know where to buy, how to hold, how to sell, I can do some basic TA etc. I am more familiar with this market.

Now the big question is, are you familiar with both of these markets?
926  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: July 09, 2023, 03:42:49 PM
My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?

It is very hard to predict. Tbh I don't think he is in a good position financially anymore. That's because he made some mistakes with twitter. Actually buying twitter was a mistake as a whole. It was a shitty dying platform infested by the democrats. Why buy it? Now it is a republican-friendly platform but it is still hemorrhaging money. Nothing really has changed in this regard and the latest changes Elon made on twitter made stuff worse probably. Zuck is also coming up with his own twitter-copy and that's no good for Elon at all.
927  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is better to invest in copy trading or bot on: July 09, 2023, 09:14:10 AM
Which is better to invest in copy trading or bot

And is there any other alternatives

I have 4k btc to invest

Just buy and hold. It is stress free, risk free. Trading is for the pros and since you are not a pro you shouldn't do it. You can mimic pros but what if he suddenly stops sharing his trades? Also what if he gets caught in a bad run and ends up broke? You will get broke too. It is always better to trust your own abilities instead of depending on someone else's and if you don't know how to trade then the answer is very clear: BUY & HOLD
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What attracted you to gambling?Share your experience whether good/bad. on: July 09, 2023, 08:32:15 AM
I was in high school and my friend were betting on sports. Some of them won fairly big amounts and I thought it as an easy way to make money. Obviously I learned it by the hard way that there was no free meal there. I lost more than I made and then I realized that gambling is not a job. I also realized that many of my friends who won their bets occasionally lost a lot more than what they actually made. I didn't come to these conclusions right on the spot though. It was process that took years. By the time I went to the college I was a responsible gambler.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin experience a more price increase during the halving? on: July 08, 2023, 01:54:17 PM
and that means potentially Bitcoin will become more expensive as it becomes scarcer, and more numerous
less?

That's what happened in the past and probably will happen again in the future. If it doesn't, the newcomers will get rekt by the low prices. Lots of people had their bitcoins when its price was above $40k and even $50k. Unless bitcoin does another big bull run and goes near $100k, these people won't be happy with their investments.

Personally I don't care about the price of bitcoin at all. What really matters is the network and it works pretty good. The NFT stuff ruined a little bit but despite that, btc is still the #1 crypto out there.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 07, 2023, 05:47:47 PM
So it still depends on the country? because other countries allow 18 and above, but to others it is 21. Though it is really better to be  21 because we are mature enough at that time, this again depends on the law. Even though the risk is still present, meaning all of us can get addicted no matter what our age is, having this age limit is best because we know that those teens are very prone to addiction and easily get influenced by others.
more clearly if someone who starts gambling when they are over 18+ they have better self-control compared to minors who are very vulnerable to emotions that cannot be controlled, causing addiction. this age limit is actually not very successful in preventing minors but especially for online gambling but for physical gambling the age limit will really help minors avoid gambling.
because if in a physical casino when entering a gambling place you will always be asked for the identity of gambling security but for online casinos minors can use fake data to still be able to gamble.

Actually people that are 18 ain't mentally much different than 15 y.o. people. I know how dumb I was when I was 18 and I can tell there wasn't a great difference with my 15 years old self. So just because a person is over 18 doesn't mean he will make wise choices instantly.

Most people stay dumb till their 30's and some people stay dumb forever till they die.

On the other hand I've seen 15 y.o. kids that are way smarter than most adults. These kids were able to think and act like an adult. It is like they were living their 2nd or 3rd life... But let's be honest most people ain't like that.
931  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of Farming. on: July 07, 2023, 05:40:54 PM
I think everybody should own some farmland in some way. It doesn't matter if you need it or not at the moment. I think you will need it in the future for sure. Actually it doesn't even have to a farm land, a house with a nice garden would do the trick. You should be able to grow some basic vegetables and fruits in that garden. That way you can reduce your food dependency greatly.

My grand parents grow cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelons, peppers, cherries, plums, peaches and lots of other green shit... They all grow in the same garden and they all taste great.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion - Being an Active Poster in the Gambling Board on: July 06, 2023, 07:48:45 PM
  • Has being an active participant in the gambling section helped you develop more effective strategies for winning bets?
  • Has it aided you in overcoming gambling addiction (if you were addicted) or developing healthier gambling habits?
  • Have you noticed an overall improvement in your gambling experiences?

1- No, being an active member in this part of the forum has no effect on my gambling habits at all because I developed my strategy long time ago and there isn't really much room for improvement.
2- No again, I get obsessed with gambling in the past and lost quite a good amount but I beat my addiction without the help of this forum. Obviously I took some help but not from this forum.
3- Nope... This is the same question as the first one and it has the same answer. This forum basically has no effect on my overall experience. I mean I learned some valuable stuff from this forum but I am not sure how much it affected me. Probably not much.
933  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this a Strategy? Is it a good Strategy? on: July 06, 2023, 07:44:02 PM
Public beef or fights involving billionaires, celebrities, or even top companies often puts them into the spotlight, attracting attention and generating increased traffic, hence, more income. My question arises as to whether you think some or most of these conflicts are genuine or intentionally crafted/orchestrated by the parties involved to maintain their prominence and financial gains.
Also, could this be considered as a strategic element of their business or career strategy? And If so, is this a good strategy?

If it is about money, nothing is a coincidence. Everything you see on the internet, on the social media is planned. Everything you see, read and hear affects your thinking. That's their only aim. You see an ad of a nice car, you start thinking of that car and then if you have enough funds, you go and buy it.

Is it a good business strategy? It is a brilliant strategy. It is so brilliant, basically every business owner wants to use it. That's why people give ads to the social media platforms like facebook, google and youtube... They do it because it simply works. They make more money than they spend on ads.
934  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin hash is 380,000,000TH so small miners don't stand a chance on: July 06, 2023, 06:10:51 PM
It is nothing new, small miners died long time ago. If you have any thoughts of mining bitcoin, just forget it. Buy bitcoin instead and you will have far greater returns and the best part is, you won't have the headache of maintaining miners. Mining didn't make sense back in the day when the hashrate was a lot lower than this and now it is complete non-sense.

Leave mining to the big boys and buy bitcoin if you want to make any money from crypto.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The hypocrisy of the UK on Cryptocurrency on: July 06, 2023, 08:48:21 AM
People should understand that the governments are not our friends. Why are you getting mad? Most of the time govs make our lives more difficult. This is just another example of that. The so called crypto-friendly govs like El Salvador and St. Kitts are crypto friendly only because they are using this to attract crypto investors and there is nothing wrong with that... However, these investors don't really prefer countries like El Salvador to make investments, they prefer countries such as France, USA, Germany, UK etc... Let's be honest El Salvador is not a country most of us would dream of living in. In this big picture, as far as I understood it, the UK simply don't give a damn about crypto investors. :/ I guess they don't need our money.
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sold the altcoins and invested in Bitcoin" on: July 05, 2023, 06:43:16 AM
Bitcoin is the safest crypto out there. One can simply not go wrong with bitcoin. Everything else is a casino token in a world where btc exists. You might make x100 or more with alts but you may also lose your initial investment completely. That's why they are called casino tokens. BTC on the other hand has been making money for everyone since its inception. That's why it is the safest coin out there. More or less, btc will keep making money in the future but we don't know what is going to happen with the alts. It is a matter of choice in the end. More risk = more reward/losses. Less risk = less reward/losses. BTC = Safety
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: cant found 1000x !!! Should i make my own project ??? on: July 05, 2023, 06:24:12 AM
You can make your own project but you will spend money for nothing unless you come up with an original idea. Even if you do so, you may still end up with nothing. There are thousands of dead alts in the history of crypto. Yours probably will be another dead alt. Why are you getting obsessed with x1000 anyway? If you want that kind of returns you can play dice and set your winning chance to 0.1%. It is nearly the same thing. primedice is a good dice casino. You can wager the money on dice which you were going to spend on your project and you can have your profits in a second.
938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are bitcoin mixers often accused of laundering money? on: July 05, 2023, 04:55:20 AM
It is because people can launder money using bitcoin mixers. It is not rocket science. If you somehow got coins that have bad history, you can use a mixer and get different coins. The problem here is, you don’t know whose coins you are getting so the coins you’ll get might have a worse history then what you had in the first place. I wouldn’t use any crypto mixers personally for that reason alone.
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Not your keys, Not your coins" is not enough on: July 04, 2023, 07:23:16 PM
There is one problem with this quote. This quote assumes that everybody that uses bitcoin understands its underlying tech. In fact, some people don't care about it at all. Some people just use crypto as a way to get rich quick. For them, it doesn't matter what they are trading. BTC, ETH, LTC, XMR, DOGE, SHIB... These are all the same for these people. For them BTC is just another casino token. We can't expect them to think that much even though it is in their interest to think about these stuff. Some people will fail anyway.

You said "Not your keys, Not your coins" is not enough... and I say, "Not your keys, Not your coins" is more than enough. (for these people anyway)
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 04, 2023, 07:03:53 PM
People should do what they like to do. Getting addicted to gambling is a bad thing but there is absolutely no harm in playing every once in a while. People should quit smoking and drinking alcohol too but some of them do these every day and I don't see them quitting. It is better to be in control rather than quitting something that gives you pleasure completely. Having sex every day and hour is not healthy too but we don't quit it forever do we? The same logic applies here. Gambling occasionally is fine, doing it everyday now that's where it gets dangerous.
