941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 04:44:55 PM
I would say less than 2% because in the long run this is going to be failed "investment". So the less you lose the better. However, We are also not monks. People drink, smoke and gamble. We spend lots of money on other stupid stuff for fun too so it is fine to spend some money on gambling as long as you are having fun not greedy and 2% sounds just like the right amount. Life is all about balancing stuff. We need to balance fun and work so we won't go crazy.

942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 12:29:03 PM
I heard of a story about two gamblers that got into a serious fight on the grounds that a bet they merged an amount of money equally to place  using the online account of one person among their two. Luckily for them the bet won. But something happened, when it got to the sharing formula of the total amount won the owner of the account  insisted on taking a lion's share since it was his account that was used in placing the bet. The latter refusing to accept it that way they got into a serious fight. How pathetic!

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.

If you are using shared funds to make bets that will create a mess. Especially when your partner makes a bet which you wouldn't approve and lose it... Let's say we have a $50k shared bankroll but we only make bets if both of us agree with it. Then your partner wagers $5k on some stupid game and loses it... Wouldn't you be angry about it? That would violate the ToS of this partnership.

Luckily, since I only use my own funds to make bets, this is never going to happen to me.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 13, 2023, 06:46:00 PM
If you don't think about gambling in your daily life, you simply aren't addicted to it. Same goes to smoking. I don't think about either of these habits but if someone offers me a cig, sometimes I take it and smoke it. That doesn't mean I am addicted to smoking because I don't buy packs unless I am really excited with something. - if you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) -

I don't think about gambling but sometimes I just feel lucky and I want to see if I feel it right... That's about it.
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 7k usdt on: July 13, 2023, 06:05:55 AM
Where to invest 7k usdt

To get profit daily 30$

$30 a day? for your $7k? You must be high. That's a lot more than 100% annually and You can only get these kind of returns if you "invest" in ponzi schemes or play in a casino. No legit investment will return you 100%+ unless you are very very lucky with your stock/altcoin picks and if you have a luck like that you can always buy a lottery ticket and still win.

Even $100k wouldn't get you $30/day if you make legit investments... $7k is too small to accomplish this target.
945  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got scammed by Freewallet.org for 120000 USDT TRC20. SCAM alert!  Don't use th on: July 13, 2023, 05:10:18 AM
You should have checked the reviews before you used freewallet.org... They are everywhere. Everything you will see and hear about them is no good. It has been more than 5 years probably since people realized their scams.

$120k is not peanuts and you didn't do your homework. This is going to leave a mark in your finances.

Hopefully you will lighten up and don't do stupid stuff next time... or else there won't be a next time.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My story about bitcoin and my old friend. on: July 12, 2023, 07:55:04 PM
Maybe your friend simply isn't interested in bitcoin and there is nothing wrong with that. You didn't have to prove him anything imo. Obviously he couldn't make the same big bucks as you while he was working overseas but some people are just not good at investing at all. You should also know that crypto isn't the only game in town. Some smart people make great returns with forex or/and stocks too. There are people that make a killing from gambling. Your friend couldn't find his "get rich quick" scheme yet. Some people never will and there isn't anything wrong with that. Not everybody can be in the 1% club.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 11, 2023, 05:52:33 PM
No. Successful gamblers know what they are doing. Casinos usually don't like them because these players are eating their lunch. These people can't be called addicts because they are not harming themselves financially. Gambling addicts always lose money and they ruin themselves and their family members. Most of them don't have a family at all.

If you ask the casino owners, they would tell you that successful gamblers are actually thieves since they are stealing from the casinos (the games are designed to make the players lose in the long run) but you can't say they are addicts.
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivating gambling addicts to invest in bitcoins. on: July 11, 2023, 04:18:29 AM
Gambling addicts usually don’t have the patience to make an investment. These people gamble because they wants to see the results immediately. Bitcoin may return great profits in a year or two but these people can’t wait that long. At best they can wait a week or a month but we all know that making an investment doesn’t work that way. Investors wait year, sometimes decades to get a meaningful return on their investments. I don’t see gamblers having that kind of patience.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 10, 2023, 07:45:44 PM
Can you explain me why i need to learned gambling?

Simply put, here only millions of money are managed by asset owners, so where i have no money. In fact, i have ideas about gambling, but I don't have the ability to spend money there.

You don't need to. In fact you shouldn't. Please elaborate which ideas you have about gambling. You talked about asset managers too, do you think these people are gamblers? If so, you are right indeed. Some of those asset managers are indeed gamblers and that's why they will lose their customers' funds quickly.

When you are making an investment, gambling should be the last thing in your mind. Investing != Gambling.
950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is actually a Bitcoin investor on: July 10, 2023, 04:46:26 PM
When someone has a particular wallet which he spends Bitcoins from can he be considered a Bitcoin investor?
Or does the term investor refer only to those who hodl Bitcoin?

Both of these people are bitcoin investors imo. It doesn't necessarily mean that you should invest big amounts to become a bitcoin investor. You can invest $5 in bitcoin and still be an investor. Obviously you are not going to make much profits with that $5 worth of bitcoins but you are still an investor no matter what others say.

Here is another example:

You can own 1 AAPL share and still be an investor in AAPL. You can vote at the annual shareholders' meeting. The price of an AAPL share is around $200 nowadays.
951  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 09, 2023, 03:47:44 PM
Luxury watches at the top end of the market can be considered as an alternative form of investment. While I don't possess extensive knowledge about watches, my understanding from available information suggests that reselling them can yield a substantial profit. The return on investment for luxury watches tends to be quite satisfactory. Prominent examples of such watches include Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Audemars Piguet, some of which have a waitlist spanning two years. Most of these watches tend to appreciate in value.

However, the worth attributed to an item is typically influenced by its demand and supply. While I believe that owning one or two high-end watches, provided they are well-maintained, may outperform stocks, gold, and real estate, it's worth noting that their appeal may diminish over time. This is because future generations are increasingly gravitating towards other interests, such as bitcoin and other emerging trends. If given the choice, would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin, digital assets, gold, stocks, or real estate?

You shouldn't choose one over the other before you understand the market you are in vesting in. For example I don't know shit about luxury watches. I don't know the premiums, I don't know the overall market direction and volatility, I don't know which brand to choose, which model etc. You have to know a lot about these stuff.

On the other hand, I know some stuff about bitcoin/crypto. I know where to buy, how to hold, how to sell, I can do some basic TA etc. I am more familiar with this market.

Now the big question is, are you familiar with both of these markets?
952  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: July 09, 2023, 03:42:49 PM
My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?

It is very hard to predict. Tbh I don't think he is in a good position financially anymore. That's because he made some mistakes with twitter. Actually buying twitter was a mistake as a whole. It was a shitty dying platform infested by the democrats. Why buy it? Now it is a republican-friendly platform but it is still hemorrhaging money. Nothing really has changed in this regard and the latest changes Elon made on twitter made stuff worse probably. Zuck is also coming up with his own twitter-copy and that's no good for Elon at all.
953  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is better to invest in copy trading or bot on: July 09, 2023, 09:14:10 AM
Which is better to invest in copy trading or bot

And is there any other alternatives

I have 4k btc to invest

Just buy and hold. It is stress free, risk free. Trading is for the pros and since you are not a pro you shouldn't do it. You can mimic pros but what if he suddenly stops sharing his trades? Also what if he gets caught in a bad run and ends up broke? You will get broke too. It is always better to trust your own abilities instead of depending on someone else's and if you don't know how to trade then the answer is very clear: BUY & HOLD
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What attracted you to gambling?Share your experience whether good/bad. on: July 09, 2023, 08:32:15 AM
I was in high school and my friend were betting on sports. Some of them won fairly big amounts and I thought it as an easy way to make money. Obviously I learned it by the hard way that there was no free meal there. I lost more than I made and then I realized that gambling is not a job. I also realized that many of my friends who won their bets occasionally lost a lot more than what they actually made. I didn't come to these conclusions right on the spot though. It was process that took years. By the time I went to the college I was a responsible gambler.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin experience a more price increase during the halving? on: July 08, 2023, 01:54:17 PM
and that means potentially Bitcoin will become more expensive as it becomes scarcer, and more numerous
less?

That's what happened in the past and probably will happen again in the future. If it doesn't, the newcomers will get rekt by the low prices. Lots of people had their bitcoins when its price was above $40k and even $50k. Unless bitcoin does another big bull run and goes near $100k, these people won't be happy with their investments.

Personally I don't care about the price of bitcoin at all. What really matters is the network and it works pretty good. The NFT stuff ruined a little bit but despite that, btc is still the #1 crypto out there.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 07, 2023, 05:47:47 PM
So it still depends on the country? because other countries allow 18 and above, but to others it is 21. Though it is really better to be  21 because we are mature enough at that time, this again depends on the law. Even though the risk is still present, meaning all of us can get addicted no matter what our age is, having this age limit is best because we know that those teens are very prone to addiction and easily get influenced by others.
more clearly if someone who starts gambling when they are over 18+ they have better self-control compared to minors who are very vulnerable to emotions that cannot be controlled, causing addiction. this age limit is actually not very successful in preventing minors but especially for online gambling but for physical gambling the age limit will really help minors avoid gambling.
because if in a physical casino when entering a gambling place you will always be asked for the identity of gambling security but for online casinos minors can use fake data to still be able to gamble.

Actually people that are 18 ain't mentally much different than 15 y.o. people. I know how dumb I was when I was 18 and I can tell there wasn't a great difference with my 15 years old self. So just because a person is over 18 doesn't mean he will make wise choices instantly.

Most people stay dumb till their 30's and some people stay dumb forever till they die.

On the other hand I've seen 15 y.o. kids that are way smarter than most adults. These kids were able to think and act like an adult. It is like they were living their 2nd or 3rd life... But let's be honest most people ain't like that.
957  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of Farming. on: July 07, 2023, 05:40:54 PM
I think everybody should own some farmland in some way. It doesn't matter if you need it or not at the moment. I think you will need it in the future for sure. Actually it doesn't even have to a farm land, a house with a nice garden would do the trick. You should be able to grow some basic vegetables and fruits in that garden. That way you can reduce your food dependency greatly.

My grand parents grow cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelons, peppers, cherries, plums, peaches and lots of other green shit... They all grow in the same garden and they all taste great.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion - Being an Active Poster in the Gambling Board on: July 06, 2023, 07:48:45 PM
  • Has being an active participant in the gambling section helped you develop more effective strategies for winning bets?
  • Has it aided you in overcoming gambling addiction (if you were addicted) or developing healthier gambling habits?
  • Have you noticed an overall improvement in your gambling experiences?

1- No, being an active member in this part of the forum has no effect on my gambling habits at all because I developed my strategy long time ago and there isn't really much room for improvement.
2- No again, I get obsessed with gambling in the past and lost quite a good amount but I beat my addiction without the help of this forum. Obviously I took some help but not from this forum.
3- Nope... This is the same question as the first one and it has the same answer. This forum basically has no effect on my overall experience. I mean I learned some valuable stuff from this forum but I am not sure how much it affected me. Probably not much.
959  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this a Strategy? Is it a good Strategy? on: July 06, 2023, 07:44:02 PM
Public beef or fights involving billionaires, celebrities, or even top companies often puts them into the spotlight, attracting attention and generating increased traffic, hence, more income. My question arises as to whether you think some or most of these conflicts are genuine or intentionally crafted/orchestrated by the parties involved to maintain their prominence and financial gains.
Also, could this be considered as a strategic element of their business or career strategy? And If so, is this a good strategy?

If it is about money, nothing is a coincidence. Everything you see on the internet, on the social media is planned. Everything you see, read and hear affects your thinking. That's their only aim. You see an ad of a nice car, you start thinking of that car and then if you have enough funds, you go and buy it.

Is it a good business strategy? It is a brilliant strategy. It is so brilliant, basically every business owner wants to use it. That's why people give ads to the social media platforms like facebook, google and youtube... They do it because it simply works. They make more money than they spend on ads.
960  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin hash is 380,000,000TH so small miners don't stand a chance on: July 06, 2023, 06:10:51 PM
It is nothing new, small miners died long time ago. If you have any thoughts of mining bitcoin, just forget it. Buy bitcoin instead and you will have far greater returns and the best part is, you won't have the headache of maintaining miners. Mining didn't make sense back in the day when the hashrate was a lot lower than this and now it is complete non-sense.

Leave mining to the big boys and buy bitcoin if you want to make any money from crypto.
