941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Afripay 🌟 Africa's First Crypto Payment Solution Using Blockchain on: April 20, 2021, 10:29:44 PM
Hi, upon checking the team member's page, I noticed that the team members are covered with anonymous photos without any of their referrals and links. I highly suggest that you provide all the necessary details in order to verify the identities of the team members, thanks!
-

With this type of project, aiming to be the Africa's Crypto payment solution, I believe they should disclose their team members. How can merchants or shops trust their services if they are anonymous? They want to serve the African community, so they should not be ashamed to show their identities. Otherwise, this is just another attempt to use the name of the African community to gain interest from their users.
942  Economy / Exchanges / Re: beware of bnktothefuture.com on: April 19, 2021, 11:58:05 PM

They will try to make it appear that they are trying to address your issue, but it's not this is auto-generated, even if they have an influx of messages with the length of time, they should address your issue in a month's time, you should move or create a thread in the scam section to alarm them and warn people about the kind of service they are giving to their clients.

Heard this exchange only today. Checked it in trustpilot to read reviews - https://www.trustpilot.com/review/bnktothefuture.com

You can read positive and negative. Most are accusing them as scammers. Wonder if those that give high rating is part of the platform itself. Anyway, what is the major reason why the OP invested on this site? Are they offering good returns of your investments?
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🧅 [ONION] Privacy Coin with Real Use Cases 🧅 Bear Market King - DeepOnion ⚡ on: April 19, 2021, 10:40:26 PM
share ur opinion and add own proposal regarding the next exchange listing:

https://deeponion.org/community/threads/coinsbit-listing.45448

Listing nowadays really take a lot of funds. Maybe if you will pursue this coinsbit listing, just go for bronze level first. You need to increase your trading volume first. As we can see in other exchanges that you are listed with, the volume is not that big. Do you have promotional activities that will increase your trading volume? Also, what will be your major activities this year that will boost the popularity of use case of your coin?
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 20th April dogecoin day on: April 19, 2021, 08:21:58 PM
Well it's been one of the hottest coin we have right now, it was massively pump by some individuals, groups or other entities, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it getting another all time high again, regardless if it's anniversary or not.

So all I can say is that we don't have to be greedy, we might be caught inside this pump and dump scheme specially if we bought it at the top, so be careful. Don't be greedy, because you don't want to be part of the growing statistics of investors who bought doge but loss some money because of manipulation.

For those who are really new into this, they should really assess themselves if they want to ride in this hype. Because as you said, they may be trapped into this situation. We don't know how long Elon will support doge by posting random tweets. And for now, that's the only reason why doge is enjoying the market. But I do like doge before as it is one of the cheapest alts you can use for transferring coins. But lately, I am seeing that their transfer fees are also getting expensive.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: SpaceDoge - A Community Driven Deflationary Token Built Around Memes on: April 18, 2021, 11:55:38 PM
The OP should check again his thread. The links are not working so we don't know what is being presented here. Also, he can also give the important links like website, source code or social media links. I believe this project arises because of the current hype surrounding doge. Don't know if they can also attract crypto users here. Let us see.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BURST.Money - DeFi Money [Self-Custody Payment network] on: April 18, 2021, 11:15:50 PM
Burst might not be the first of its kind to offer instantaneous wallets but what makes Burst unique is the interoperability which Burst will foster across multiple chains along with it’s suite of DeFi and also we are developing multiple DeFi use cases.

Basically the idea of BURST is pretty interesting - multi-currency wallet which allows anyone anywhere to have instant access to a Crypto wallet and suits of DeFi products. But is it the first in it's kind?

What do you think are those DeFi use cases that you will first develop on this platform? Maybe one or 2 unique use cases will do, that will give identity for Burst project. Sometimes, it will take only one unique feature that will make the platform out stand the others. Remember, we have so many DeFi platforms today and the competition is really getting tough.
947  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low could Bitcoin go this time? after all good news is out on: April 18, 2021, 10:43:32 PM
Don't panic. Zoom out the charts and you'll realize that it's in good shape that you're missing out. If there's blood, you should be getting more bitcoins if it happens.
Don't miss the train and think there is no more good news. We need them but we need more to see the market as a whole and check the pattern that upon zooming out.

That's right, if we look at bitcoin chart for 1 year and all from coindesk. We are still doing great actually. What more can we ask from this? People are really not contented for what bitcoin has achieved so far. It is hard to predict how low will bitcoin go. But in my opinion, it will not go down below 40k. A lot of good things (financial institutions buying large amount of btc, integration of crypto payment in paypal and tesla, and many other things) already happened to bitcoin this year, and I believe, that will make the bitcoin market more solid and hard to have massive crash.

948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin high fee has brought dogecoin to limelight on: April 18, 2021, 09:46:43 PM
Apart from Elon musk hyping dogecoin these past months that got price hanging at $0.05 now the price has gone skyrocket. The skyrocket price of doge I believe is becayof the high fees of bitcoin transaction.

Dogecoin is proving to be a more optional coin to bitcoin and that is undoubtedly pushing price high and for the first time dogecoin has made a return to faithful hodlers. Grin Roll Eyes
Dogecoin pumping doesn't have anything to do with the transaction fee cost on bitcoin blockchain, dogecoin is pumping because of the Elon Musk tweets about it and its community of moon boys, u don't see any reason why it will pump because transaction on bitcoin is more expensive, I mean we have trx that's offering almost free transactions, there are other cryptocurrencies that transactions are even free, so I doubt if dogecoin pumped because of bitcoin transaction cost is high.

Your point is valid. As now, I noticed the transaction fee of doge from one exchange to another is getting expensive as compared in the old days. Now, you can choose TRX, EOS, LTC or XRP for cheaper transactions. And those alts are also readily available in most exchanges. I will give couple of examples - in crex, the withdrawal fee for doge is 40 doge, which is approximately $13.6 at a current rate of $0.34, whereas in binance, it is 20doge ($6.8 ). Now, that is expensive! So I can say, it is mainly because of Elon why doge is getting high price today, not the fees involved in doge transaction.

Checking the comparison table on your site, you can see your advantages over bitcoin and other alts. But why is this coin not so popular? I believe, even in this forum, not many users are aware of this project. And looking at the price level in crex, it is not very encouraging in my opinion. It is like the coin is almost dying in the trading section, considering that you are only listed in this exchange. Are there plans to change this scenario?

It is like the story of the Hare and Tortoise. We are a small dedicated team of crypto enthusiasts and our main focus to date has been on research. And in that aspect we have built up some world beating knowledge. This is being now being converted into development. Don't let the scrypt coin history cloud what is coming; it is going to be a game changer.

Our user-base is growing as more people find out about our project; and we now have more community volunteers coming and joining the network; and this will only help the network effect.

As for trading volume and liquidity, this will only improve as we list on additional exchanges. See our note on being approved for several top 50 CoinMarketCap exchanges. The increase in potential volume will be a gamechanger on that front.

It should be noted that while a lot of people need to find and discover our project; what if I told you some of the most influential folks in crypto have already had communications with us; specifically about our Satoshi R&D and what we discovered. If they are curious, it does re-enforce us that we are doing something right Smiley

Just to add, can you also put the technical details in your opening post? Because it says, your algo is PoW. But if you can add more details, that would be great. Like block reward, etc. (Though you can see that from your block explorer, but would be nice if you can already see it at the front page so users know what to expect)
Since encountering this thread, it made me curious on finding out more about this project. Not many 3-year old projects can manage to exist up until today. Though you only have one exchange for the moment, but I am seeing you are having active development going on. So for me, there is future on this one.
950  Economy / Speculation / Re: We entered a bear market earlier than expected on: April 18, 2021, 08:21:21 PM
Seriously, do we need a new "we entered bear market" topic every time that we see 10-15% correction? I thought by now people won't even twitch at these price movements (I know I didn't) and these kind of corrections as we have seen those so many times before.

In short, nothing out of extraordinary happened. Some people took out the profit and we will see attack on the new all time high soon. As simple as that.

People panic and one way to release that panic is to say something like this. If we compare it with the last decade of bitcoin, are you going to say the price today is in the correction stage? I don't think so. Common, we are now back to 55k level. Do you think it is in the bear season comparing it to previous years? Why people can't appreciate of what bitcoin accomplished. As you said, this is only a correction that should happen in a normal market. People should not make this a big deal as if bitcoin goes back to 10k level.
951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading an occupation? on: April 17, 2021, 11:54:46 PM
I see some people left from Their job and accepted trading in their profession. So you can say it’s a profession.

Those people that have left the corporate job for the sake of trading, have found wealth and greatness on this occupation that they've seen.
It's better because they have already estimated the risk that they take and what's better on it is that the time they consume in the corporate job, travel and other stuff can simply be converted into their me-time.
We do have our own will on making out decisions on our own and switching into something had already been decided basing off with those considerations. We cant just risk off our day stable job
into something which cant give out assurance but once you do able to handle out yourself with trading then i would say that it is worth.

Occupation is something you've dealt with full time and i do consider trading will be fitting out on that criteria which is a considerable thing for it to be called.

Its up to someone on how they could able to retain and sustain themselves with the market.Yes, its a risky one but very rewarding.
It does fit the criteria and those who have become confident in it are going to easily make their lives better because they will only get into trading full time if they are quite good enough to make a decent living out of it.
Yes, definitely the risk is worth it if you have seen that your decisions made it well.
Possible but not all would really be that capable on doing so and only a few would able to make trading as a full time job or occupation which its true that it can be considered one.
This is truly attainable but not for all and it does take time and lots of efforts for you to reach out this certain state in a good trader or shall we considered to be a profitable one.
Trading could really be an occupation but going full time will really be taking lots of considerations whether you would go full scale on it or would be just good as a side income.
Not all would be capable but at least we are fully aware on the possible benefit that it can give.

It is true that not all can afford trading to be their full time job. If you are just a beginner, it is better for you to make your trading activities as just another source of income. But we can't deny the fact that there are really people who are in full time doing the trading. Those are people who already knows the ins and outs of this industry, and they can very well afford to live only with trading. For sure, before they gained such status, they experienced a lot of ups and downs in this market. It is not an overnight task to learn.
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk stop messing up the crypto market on: April 17, 2021, 11:22:02 PM
I honestly don't find anything wrong with Elon Musk's tweets supporting Dogecoin. But after reading this article I see where your concern comes from.
If those who buy Dogecoin are speculators, the terrible bubble could burst. Although Elon Musk is an intelligent man and he knows why he supports Dogecoin I do not think that he has any intention of producing something negative in the market.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/04/16/dogecoin-doge-price-meme-cryptocurrencys-rise-sparks-bubble-fears.html

This will be a scary investment for those who are really new in the crypto market. And those who will buy because Elon tweeted it. They should have other crypto fundamentals why they are doing it. Because once it collapses, they will curse Elon or the crypto market for no reason. And that will give them a big lesson when it comes to crypto. What Elon is doing is just making awareness about the existence of doge. For all we know, he doesn't have any big intentions at all. He is also just another person that believes in doge.
953  Economy / Economics / Re: Charlie Munger: "Bitcoin is an artificial substitute for Gold" on: April 17, 2021, 10:36:40 PM

They haven't missed the boat because they were never going to get on the boat. They don't invest in assets that don't produce income like gold and bitcoin, they've never been interested in that and it's never been part of their investment universe. They invest in companies that generate cashflow and profit, because that's what they know how to value.

Very right. They have their own perspectives when it comes to business. And also, they are already old to change their stance on what they believe in. They already lived their life in full, nothing much to regret, I guess. Whether they jump on board in bitcoin or not, they are still rich in their own ways. Just leave this to the new generation. They already done their part in this world. They know what they are doing, why they reached their status in life. So who are we to question their way of doing business?
954  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ANTM] Antimony Coin - Plagiarism whitepaper on: April 17, 2021, 09:48:41 PM
I am sorry if looks like a continuous scam project, I will take your advice and rewrite the whitepaper in the next weeks, I was more concentrated to the technical side of the project, learning on the go and so on, all the team members are mainly on Facebook with account made maybe 10 years ago, I heard about this forum some days ago when I tried to apply to get listed on some exchange, this forum was kind of required thing so I said to give a try, so I'm still learning every day, I hope today will finish the Discord server so we can interact with anyone better, never heard of discord until now, I used Skype, FB messenger, WhatsApp, etc, new world, new tools that I need to get adapted and I will at some point Smiley
Anyway thank you for your time to find the weaknesses of this project, I really appreciate it, gives me a wide idea to create a SWOT analysis regarding this project, and that's always beneficial for any business.

OK, now you're just telling us a bunch of lies.

First you claim that you were concentrated on the technical side of the project which would mean that you are one of the developers (the only developer??) and then you say that you heard about this forum a few days ago. You expect someone to believe that? There is no one who is involved in the technical side of cryptocurrencies who hasn't heard of this forum.

Second, you said before that you may have misunderstood the purpose of the whitepaper which is another lie. It is obvious that you have studied the whitepapers of many coins in order to copy the contents that suit you.

So far, all you've said contradicts itself, so the only logical explanation is that you use lies to conceal your laziness and/or incompetence.

He should have admitted his shortcomings here rather than giving more lies. If they have long term mission for this project, they already draft their SWOT analysis on their own before they launched this one in public. Most copy-paste projects are in a hurry to deploy their project so they can collect funds from naive users. Some people in the forum are doing their job of looking for potential scam or crap projects. So users will not fall for them or at least give them warning about the possible fate of the project.
955  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC reached ATH 62K - are we on another milestone, 100K? on: April 17, 2021, 09:15:31 PM
I'm thinking that it can reach up to 80k as long as the pandemic continues.

Pandemic has been the partner in crime of BTC, so as long as pandemic runs, BTC will rise.

I don't know the reasons, but it is what it is.

Because people are trying to get on in crypto in these challenging times. Some newcomers believe they can get good profits in crypto while this pandemic is still not over. But it will be long before this covid will be totally contained. Right now, crypto is still on the rise because as people look for alternative investments or alternative payment method, crypto is one of the good candidates in these categories. Whether they want for investments or payment method, crypto is one of the best choices out there. So I believe, a new ATH is yet to be seen in the next coming months.
956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading strategies on: April 16, 2021, 11:59:53 PM
The OP's technique will only work if he selected valuable alts in the first place. But if mistakenly, he invested in the wrong alts, I don't think he will get the same results. Your strategy is very generic. And it will depend on which particular alts are you referring to. Only few of them can give you good returns as most of them will die down before you can get your profits. If the OP knows that his strategy is working for him, why not use it to his own advantage. Just remember, not all alts are worth holding.
957  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast do you think will Bitcoin reach $100k? on: April 16, 2021, 11:38:04 PM
I don't know. Who can predict how fast a crypto coin to achieve a certain rate? I think it is difficult to know it.
Just wait and monitor the price move, it is still far from $100K. In my opinion, we just can predict it once the price can be above $90K. Then, it can be easier to speculate how fast to reach $100K.

Yes, no one can predict how fast we can achieve that target price level. Maybe at the middle of this year, we will see where is the price heading to. You can only speculate but you can't say if that will happen in a specific  day or month. What we can do, is just open our eyes to what is happening in the crypto community, because we will get some insights on what may possibly happen to the market. But I don't think someone can precisely give you when a specific price level will be reached.
958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If BNB will reach $500, what's next? on: April 16, 2021, 10:56:29 PM
By lookin on how BNB steadily goes down after setting new ATH I am a little confused. What had causes such a price drop? Yesterday I was planning to use price reduction as an opportunity to buy cheap BNB, but after seen that today the reduction continues I have changed my mind.
During the rest of todays day, I'm going to decide whether to buy few BNB or skip that. What are your thought about it ?

Well, this situatuon is common in crypto market. The little correction of BNB price after its bullish and i think its okay. For me, it is the sign of good market, because there wouldn't be possible if the price increase all the time.

For me, it is not good if the price continue to rapidly increase as it is not an organic growth. So the drop is just normal and it will go up again. The main reason why I believe BNB is rising because a lot of projects are now going to BSC network instead of ETH. With their cheap fees, it is very favorable to developers as well as traders. And since it is under the top exchange, they can easily gain trust from the community. Maybe, this drop is the opportunity to buy before it goes up again. But that is your prerogative on this coin.
959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A little sad story on: April 15, 2021, 10:38:51 PM
Even its a free money, its still sad to lose it and I’d experience this thing before where I also got a free money and used it in my day trading activities.
But, it seems that OP took risk intensively to give leverage trading a try hence I assume for the case of OP, that was not much painful unlike how many of us are feeling right now. I understand this community because when we have come across many such losses then definitely we can feel how much frustrating when losing money in trading.

We can always learn from this experience, we should predict the market more accurately and maybe look for alternatives aside from leveraging
Only when you are gaining experience, you'll become slowly a professional trader. Only for professional traders predicting the market direction accurately will be possible. Until we are becoming up to the state of professionals in trading, probably we must need to face painful losses unless we do not plan up for lower capital and no leverage.

It will not be his last experience in this trading life. As we don't know what will happen next, we are deemed to opt for choices that may not be favorable afterwards. But the longer that we are in trading, we will pick up some lessons here and there and we can apply it the next time we trade. However, don't expect that you will hit it perfectly. Because even expert traders can make mistakes. Just remember OP, that you are not alone in that kind of feeling.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency trading on: April 15, 2021, 09:35:21 PM
Firstly, invest only what you are willing to lose. Ask yourself if you are fine with losing your $1000 in the worst case scenario. If you are fine with it, proceed to do a good deal of research related to the cryptocurrencies that you are interested in.

I advise sticking to popular cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, LTC etc since they won't just disappear one day out of the blue. Invest smartly!

As a beginner in trading, I would also suggest the same. Invest in top cryptocurrencies as they have established market already. Once you get acquainted with crypto trading, that's when you slowly check other new alts. Because you need to have a grasp first in crypto trading. And it is good to practice that in these top alts like btc and eth. Start small. Don't go all in, like spending your 1k at once. You need to learn the basics in trading first. Also, go for top crypto exchanges like Binance. Don't be tempted using unknown exchanges offering some good rewards. That's a bait and you will end up losing your funds.
